Chapter 69- Callie

The day had been amazing, everything I had dreamed of. Well not entirely, it would have been better if we'd gotten married last week like we had planned, but none of that mattered now, Arizona was my wife and I hers. We had already went and changed my last name, I did that the day Sofia officially became ours, and we signed the papers to change her last name. The party is now in full swing, Sofia is dancing away with some kids on the dance floor, I think they are some relation to Arizona. Well I guess that they would be related to me now too. I laugh to myself thinking about it "hello wife" I hear that voice that always makes my heart race say.

"hello wife" I turn and am met with a pair of blue eyes I will never not be in love with. "care to dance?"

"hmm" I hum, taking her outstretched hand, she pulls me into her and we share a kiss before she leads me to the dance floor. "this didn't turn out like we had planned" my voice is quiet as I talked.

"no" Arizona shakes her head "but I think it turned out better"

"yeah?" I ask and see her nod "Sofia is officially ours, and Aria and Alex" she stopped talking as we both looked toward the other couple. "look how happy he is" she says

"they are"

"I have never seen him like this, it's like he's a completely different person" she says

"Arizona" I whisper, when she turns to look at me "we are married" I say

"we are" she smiles popping those dimples "you are now Calliope Robbins"

"I've been Calliope Robbins for a few days now" I laugh

"hmmm" she hums, the sound of screeching come from the speakers and I turn to see April and Teddy standing there. "alright everyone, can I have your attention" Teddy's voice was heard. "for those of you who don't know me, I am Teddy Altman" she pauses "and those of you who do, I'll see you in court on Monday" everyone laughed "I have known both Zo and Alex, most of my life, hell I was born over there" she said pointing behind the crowd "I just wanted to say Callie, you are one lucky woman, to be a Robbins is a high honor, I for one am grateful to be apart of this family" April leaned over saying something to Teddy "hold on I'm almost done" Teddy says shaking her head "she wants me to hurry up" Arizona laughed beside me. "Zo" Teddy says I think she found Arizona in the crowd "you're my best friend and I wish you and your new wife the best" she holds up her drink "to Arizona and Callie" she smiles "oh and Alex and Aria, sorry guys" everyone laughs as April takes the mic. "its about damn time" April says "hi everyone I'm April, I've lived down the road for" she pauses "well my whole life. Alex and Arizona, Teddy and I were inseparable growing up, Teds and I have loads of stories if you want to hear any, come find us" she looks over at Teddy who is downing a shot "or me, the sober one, although her stories might be funnier" she shakes her head "I want to say Aria, take care of him, he's got a heart of gold and I'm super happy he found someone to give it to" looking over at my sister we share a smile. I'm glad this worked out for them, I never much cared for her ex. I feel a pair of arms wrap around me, and I lean into them, as Arizona kissed my cheek. Then laid her chin on my shoulder, I had completely missed the last of April's speech, but I didn't really care. Turning my head I placed a kiss on Arizona's cheek and we both turn our attention to the front. My dad had taken the mic, and I was a little nervous about what he would have to say. "um, hello everyone" he clears his throat "I'm sure everyone knows who I am" a chorus of "yes" came form the crowd "alright then, I just want to say first to my Calliope, I'm so sorry I acted the way I did when I first found out about you and Arizona" as the memories of all of that came back I had to hold back my anger "I think you know now why I acted as I did? Although there isn't a reason for it, and I'm so deeply sorry" he paused for moment, I could tell to collect himself "Arizona" he says "since I've let myself get to know you, you have proved to me to be everything like your father, and I know you will do whatever you can to protect Calliope and Sofia from anything"

"damn right I will" Arizona says in my ear

"I can see the love you two have, and I'm sorry I ever stepped in the way" he paused again "to my other daughter Aria" he must have found her in the crowd, I could see him smile "I can tell Alex makes you happy, and I know he will also take care of you"

"yes daddy" Aria says

"alright then" he smiles "I have one more thing to say" he says, I can hear in his voice he's nervous "Daniel will you come up here please"

"what's he doing?" Arizona asks

"I don't know" not taking my eyes away from my dad, and soon Daniel was standing next to him. He says something to Daniel who nods and my dad turns his attention back to the crowd. "those who are close to Daniel and I already know what's going on, but I" Daniel elbows him "we" he corrects himself "would like to tell all of you"

"he's so nervous" Arizona says

"shh" I shush her, hearing her giggle "Daniel and I are in love, and have been since we were kids" the older adults around us start mumbling something, but us kids, as Daniel would say just smile. "now I know neither of us are looking to get married again, we already did that, but" my dad pauses and looks at Daniel "I love you, and I want to promise that no matter what happens, I will never leave you again"

"dude he's crying" Alex says

"yeah he is" Arizona smiles, when I look over at her I can see she's got tears in her eyes too, in all of that we missed what else was said until "Arizona and Alex" my dad says into the mic getting their attention when they both turn "please allow me to be apart of your family"

"um" Alex says "you already are" Arizona laughs and nods. My dad says something else but I missed it, what brought my attention back was hearing Cristina's voice behind me "let's party bitches" when I turned around she had a bottle of what I'm assuming to be tequila in one hand and was pushing it towards me. "drink" taking the bottle I took a drink, I didn't really want to get drunk, but I know with Cristina and Meredith here that was inevitable. I took a second drink out of the bottle and handed it to Arizona, she took a drink and handed it to Alex, and then Aria. Feeling a little loose as the tequila started to take effect, I grabbed Aria's hand and pulled her to the middle of the dance floor. And that was how the night ended, lots of drinks, and friends who turned family.

And that is the end. I know I didn't get into too many details on the wedding, and I'm sorry for that. Thanks for reading.
