Author's note: Everything that happens with Keith in this episode happens. I am going to try and get back in the groove of updating weekly. That might not happen because I am dealing with some health issues, in the process of starting to pack to move soon, schooling, and my job has just taken the wrong turn. A lot of things are happening but I am going to try and finish this story for all of you.

Season 6, Episode 2: Razor's Edge

Allura and Lotor stand in the pit of a Galra ship. Allura focuses her magic on the ship like she has been taught by the Great White Lion. She wonders how Linna is doing. She remembers Linna so happy with the Great White Lion. Allura wonders though how Linna is the White Paladin. There is no actual machine for the White Lion. They are just a celestial being from what Allura obtained from their time in Oriande.

Lotor looks at the maintenance screens in front of him before speaking, "Your father, King Alfor, was a gifted alchemist, whose unique ability allowed him to infuse the Voltron ore with Altean energy, granting it and the paladins access to the quintessence field. Now you, Allura, possess that same gift."

Allura blushes at his complaint towards her. "Our visit to Oriande has taught me more than I ever thought possible. I now understand the ability that Linna and my father possessed with one another. Linna was the one who created the lions with the knowledge she learned from Oriande not just my Father." Allura turns to face Lotor as she smiles at his handsome face. "Thank you."

"No, thank you, Princess." Lotor replies hiding his feelings the best he can towards her. "With your help, we can finally supply the empire with quintessence. You are the key to bringing peace to the universe."

"Peace..." Allura states to herself. "My father and Linna wanted the same thing when they built the lions. It is an honor to follow in my father's and Linna's footsteps and continue their work. And to do so alongside you." Allura answers Lotor as she stares into his eyes.

"Like the days of long ago, our royal alliance will inspire others," Lotor replies, feeling the pull of wanting Allura in his arms.

"I just wish Linna was here to see all of this. I hope she is safe."

"I hope so as well. I want to apologize to her."

"Yes, I feel that she would understand." Allura answers still staring into Lotor's eyes.

They lean into one another before hearing Pidge yell, "Hey guys starting without us?" Allura and Lotor separate quickly when they spot Lance, Hunk, and Pidge standing at the entrance of the doorway.

"Yeah! You didn't think to call the engineers before you began building your inter-reality quintessence field magical Altean alchemy supership." Hunk replies in one breath.

"Right. You didn't think to call the engineers... And me?" Lance chimes in and topples a box of tools all over the ground, proving his point of why he wasn't called to help.

Everyone stares at Lance not daring to say a word. He looks over to them and asks, "What?"

Allura sighs in relief before saying, "I appreciate that you want to help. Unfortunately, there's not a lot for you to do."

"Infusing the comet ore with Altean Alchemy is quite different than simply building a ship," Lotor tells the trio.

Hunk and Pidge look at each other in annoyance before stating, "Magic."

"We'll certainly call you if we require assistance," Allura replies.

"Oh... well... More time to integrate those Galra shields with Altean tech." Hunk states to Pidge as all of them start walking out of the room. "There's gotta be a way to do it."

Lance watches Pidge and Hunk leave the room before turning around to Allure and Lotor. "You sure you don't need a third wheel for help?" Allura and Lotor start staring at the screen to continue what they were doing before being interrupted by the trio. "No?" Lance questions them, trying to get their attention. Lance waits for another second for an answer before walking out of the hall. He has been bored as of late with Linna still gone and Keith not around to pick on. Things have been very boring to him. He walks the halls of the ship looking for something to do but nothing appears. He wants to be useful. He wants to be a part of the team in some way. He feels useless. He finds a place to sit down and look outside to the dark unknown of the universe. He sighs in annoyance and looks at the few stars that can be seen at the moment.

"Where are you, Linna? I want you here to talk. I want to have someone that understands what I am feeling right now." Lance sighs and stares outside not knowing that Linna would rather be with him than where she is currently at.

Lance soon gets up and walks to where Pidge and Hunk are doing their experiments. He wants to be with someone and not alone. Lance walks in and lies at one of the desks. He lays his head down wondering where Keith could be. If he is even alive still.

"It's amazing how the Galran subroutines translate almost one-to-one with the Altean axion inhibitors," Pidge states to Hunk.

"Okay, Lance, let's test this puppy." Hunk yells at Lance.

Lance stays distracted wondering where Keith and Linna could be at this moment. There have been no signs of their whereabouts for a while and that worries him. Hunk grins at Lance and looks at Pidge.

"Oh, I think lover boy Lance is distracted not thinking about the princess."

Pidge grabs a small marble and flicks it at Lance's head, causing him to get out of his deep thoughts.

"Ow! What the heck?" Lance rubs his head in pain before looking at Pidge and Hunk.

Hunk stands in his face with sparkles in his eyes, representing Allura, stating, "Oh, Lance, could you stop daydreaming about me and test the connections?"

Lance looks at Hunk and replies, "Ha ha. Not Funny. I wasn't thinking about Allura." Lance turns in his seat to stare at the computer with his arms crossed in front of him. "I was thinking about Linna."

Pidge and Hunk stop for a moment. No one has spoken about Linna since Oriande. Allura has put a stop to them saying her name for some reason. Everyone has also been keeping their minds busy with other things and has started to forget about her in a way.

"I miss her," Pidge states to them.

"We all do," Hunk replies.

"I mean, we don't talk about her anymore. We have just decided her disappearing from the ship suddenly is okay. Allura and Lotor are all cuddles together. But do we not realize that he tortured Linna for years? I mean, how would she feel if she showed up now and saw her best friend, kissing faces with him." Lance states to Pidge and Hunk. "I am worried about her. I mean, she was in a lot of pain the last time that she was here. She was in the healing pod for days and then magically disappeared. No one seems to care." Lance lowers his head upon his arms. "I am worried about Keith too. I mean where the heck does he go? He needs to stop leaving me..." Lance stops for a moment to what he said before saying. "I mean, us..."

Pidge and Hunk stop for a moment and smile. They caught it. They don't think Lance has figured out his feelings though.

"You so like Keith!" Pidge states to Lance.

"I do not!" Lance yells as he blushes under his arms.

"Do too!" Hunk answers.

"I do not!" Lance replies. "I am done talking with you two! I am going somewhere else."

"Oh Lance," Hunk pretending to be Keith.

"Oh Keith," Pidge pretending to be Lance.

"I have always loved you." Hunk answers.

"Me too," Pidge replies before Lance slams the door shut behind him leaving the two comedians laughing on their own.

Lounge:

Lance sits with his head laying back on the support area. He is annoyed and doesn't know what to think. He can't be in love with Keith. He misses him. Lance stares at the ceiling when the mice appear.

"Oh, great," Lance answers when they come to his face. "You guys here to make fun of me, too?"

The small pink mouse gets close to Lance's mouth and sticks his head in it when Lance feels the fur on his tongue. He shakes the mice off him in a hurry and wipes his tongue on his jacket, trying to get the fur off his tongue. He did not need the taste of a mouse in his mouth today.

Lance grabs the mice and they hang off each other in his hand. "What are you doing? Leave me alone!" Lance yells at them still trying to get the fur out of his mouth.

The mice squeak at him and smile. They care for everyone on the team. Lance falls back into the chair and looks at the mice. They all sit on his chest with worry in their eyes.

"Can't a man sulk in peace?" Lance wonders to the mice. Mice squeak at him as he lowers his eyes in disappointment with himself. "I'm pathetic. I used to make fun of people who would get their hearts broken. I haven't even figured out if I like him and I already feel like I am the one with the heartbreak. Heck, I was the one that normally broke hearts." Lance informs the mice as they sit and listen to him. "I guess I never knew what it meant to like someone until I finally got to know Keith. I mean, he is a jerk and annoying but I want to stay with him and hang with him. He isn't someone that I would think I would like. I mean, I didn't think I would like guys until I met Keith. He is just someone I can talk with and someone I can be myself around. This is all so weird to say." Lance takes a breath. "And I can't tell him how I feel. He would never take me seriously anyway. He would think I am pranking him." Lance sighs before looking at the mice, sleeping on his chest. "Are you guys even listening?"

Allura and Lotor:

Allura uses her power on the machine as she focuses her strength on reforming it. She can sense something off suddenly. She can feel the presence of the Great White Lion fading in a way with her. She can sense something off with her ability for just a moment. She wants to grab a hold of it to find out what is going on. Is Linna hurt? Is she in danger? Allura can feel the pull of her ability suddenly take its toll on her body as she stops for a moment. She feels her legs going numb under her and falls to the ground in exhaustion. Lotor hears the thud and looks over in her direction. He walks over to her and helps her up from the ground.

"You've done much today, Princess. You need your rest." Lotor states. "We'll continue tomorrow."

Allura sighs in exhaustion. "There's still a long way to go, but I'm proud of what we've accomplished together."

Allura stares into Lotor's eyes as he stares into hers. They can feel the chemistry forming between them. Lotor takes Allura's hands as she smiles with concern in his eyes. He is worried about her. He feels that she is pushing herself too hard these past few days.

"None of this would be possible without you." Lotor replies to her, not losing eye contact.

Allura and Lotor stare at each other a little while longer before Allura decides that she should get back to her room. She bids Lotor goodbye as he watches her leave. Allura giggles with excitement as she feels the chemistry growing between the two of them. She wants to kiss him but not yet. She wants to talk with Linna first.

Allura walks into her room where the mice wait for her. She smiles at them with excitement and happiness flowing through her veins.

"Well, hello there. You look cleaner than usual. Did someone give you a bath?" Allura wonders to the mice.

The pink mouse ruffles their hair and acts like Lance to let her know who did their bath. He pampered them so he could continue to talk about his feelings. He needed someone to talk to cause everyone would make fun of him otherwise. The mice got treats too, so they are really happy.

"What? Lance washed you?" Allura wonders. "That's strange. Are you friends now?"

The mouse replies with yes with some squeaks.

"Really, you are? How did that happen all of a sudden?" Allura wonders to the mice.

The mice try to explain Lance's feelings for Keith to her. Allura listens and wonders what else Lance has been hiding. The mice inform her about his concern for Linna as well.

"He is worried too," Allura wonders to herself. She thinks about the last connection she had while fixing the ship. She remembers feeling a weak connection with the Great White Lion. She can no longer sense anything at this time. She is worried for Linna too. She hasn't heard anything from her friend. She wished she had dragged Linna from that temple with her. She wants to tell her everything. She wants to see Linna again. She wants to see her smile. "I miss her too," Allura whispers as she lays her head on the desk letting her exhaustion take the better of her.
