Hey everyone, sorry this chapter is so short. I really struggled to write this, I've had a creative block when it comes to my stories lately. Specially this one, I had to go reread the story that inspired me to write this one to even get started on this chapter, and even then it's just filler for the moment. Hopefully things will pick up soon.

Also I have had to turn off my private messaging because I was getting scam messages asking to turn my writing into comics or something, this is sadly a common scam. I got a message on one of my oneshots saying they thought the "story was really fleshed out" and that it would "Make for a wonderful comic" if you know my stories and writing style you know that the start of the story is where things are the least fleshed out.

Anyways onto reviews!

Project Infinite chapter 34 . Oct 10, 2024

Here's an idea for the chamber of secrets, why not have Flitwick and Snape be informed of ember being lady Slytherin? It could create an interesting change in dynamic and allow her to get to the chamber before the shard does any damage.

Me: I don't think that will happen, at least SNAPE will not be told, maybe after things start Ember can tell Flitwick but I'm not sure right now.

zockerplay666 chapter 34 . Oct 26, 2024

It is realy a great Read and i wanted to ask if you could make more with the shops, companys and shares in Both worlds, i always liked to See the numbers rise. I to wanted to ask if ember puled the sword of grifindor out of the hat would she get that ladyship to or not?

Sorry about the Text English is not my first language.

Me: Firstly I want to say that your spelling is fine, I understood it pretty well. Now, I don't know if I'll do more with that or not, I really have no idea how things like that actually work so i try to avoid them other than the first time where I lay out the investments that the Main Character has.

Secondly, probably not, she already has a decent amount of titles and I've learned from my first story on not giving a character too long a name or to many titles.

I wanna say thanks to everyone who said they loved the last chapter and were happy they found this story, that makes me happy to hear so lets get into this chapter, sorry that it's shorter than normal once again.

The next few months of the summer holidays flew by. Damien had started visiting his father in small amounts to keep him from going to the Ministry and complaining that his son was being kept from him. Of course, wherever Damien went, Vera followed.

Vera and Sage were both given some jewelry with Glamours built into them, just like the ones Pearl, Jasper, and Amethyst had.

With the Glamour, Vera's hair changed from the pale purple color it originally was to a light blonde color. Her skin changed from pale lavender to a more human peach tone, and her eyes remained pale lavender. In the magical world, unnatural eye colors weren't something people looked at too closely, and in the Muggle world, colored contacts were very popular.

She kept her same style of clothing. All in all, she looked like a normal human, matching the Glamour that Lily had put on her before Damien had first seen her.

Sage's skin changed from light green to the same skin color as Vera's. Her hair changed from vibrant dark green to black, the same color as Ember's. Once again, her eyes stayed the same color, and she kept her outfits in the same style.

James had tried complaining about Damien bringing Vera with him, but several people reminded him that Damien had a right to bring his bodyguard, especially after being attacked by a professor at the end of the last school year. Somehow, the details that Damien and Vera had been attacked by a professor had leaked, but thankfully, this meant that more people were willing to give James grief when he complained about Vera being around Damien all the time, even when at his home.

Ember had also finally convinced Pearl to go to school for fashion since that was something she had been interested in for ages. It wasn't like Pearl didn't have time for it. Sure, she designed some clothes for Ember's stores, but Ember wanted her to truly enjoy herself and learn the tricks of the trade.

With the help of the Goblins, Pearl was soon enrolled in a very good fashion school. Ember loved listening to Pearl talk about what she would be learning when the term started. The gem just lit up whenever she thought of the school.

Jasper was busy at the gyms, working as a trainer. Ember did her best to ignore how Sirius kept eyeing Jasper. She was not ready to think about Jasper dating anyone, let alone Ember's godfather. That would be awkward as hell for her, but if it came to it and made Jasper happy, she would do her best to support her.

Doesn't mean she had to like the thought of it, though. Jasper didn't seem to look at Sirius the same way, so perhaps she didn't have anything to worry about.

Lily spent time hanging out with her children one-on-one, getting to learn more about them both. She also spent time with them together as a group. The rest of her time was spent working on her lesson plans. Muggle Studies was something she was trying to keep up to date, but she had to change the plans slowly throughout the years, or else Dumbledore would notice that the students were actually learning about what Muggles could do.

This meant that each year, she would add something to her lesson plans while keeping the rest the same. So far, she had updated the lessons to include phones, cars, electricity, and a few other simple things. She didn't want to try teaching them about anything big like spaceships yet.

Amethyst was never far from Lily, always keeping an eye on her "grandmother"—a title that always made the woman give the gem a soft, amused smile. If anyone else heard Amethyst call her that, Lily would say it was an inside joke to keep people off their backs.

Sage spent most of her time with either Ember or her "twin," Vera. Ember noticed that having a gem bodyguard seemed to put the rest of her family at ease. She hadn't realized that her little gems had been that worried about her safety, but she vowed to be better at noticing when her family was stressed.

As for Ember herself, she spent her time with her family, working on new items for her stores, doing paperwork, talking with the Goblins, and recently she started planning out a design for how the island would work out. She had already planned a few simple homes for the island. Each home would have three to four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen/dining area, a living area, and maybe a mudroom.

She did cave to Sage's nagging to design a bigger house with room for all of her current family to stay in if needed. She also designed a fashion house for Pearl and a gym for Jasper so they would still be able to do what they loved in case the group ever needed to run off to the island forever. She also gave the bank permission to create a smaller-sized Gringotts on the island in return for them building the buildings at a slight discount and warding the island so no one could find it without Ember telling them where it was. She wanted it to be the most protected place in the world and even hired several Goblin warders to research how to make wards better than they already had. The Goblins were ecstatic at the chance to create new wards.

Apparently, most wards were created decades ago. Magicals decided that the current wards were perfect and didn't bother studying how to create more of them. Once in a while, a ward breaker would invent a new ward to help with curse-breaking, but that was the most magicals had done in the past few decades. Goblins had wanted to explore wards more, but they were focused on other areas first, so ward research had been set on the back burner.

Thanks to Ember hiring these Goblins to research wards and create new ones, they could finally find the time to do what several of them had wanted to for a while.

Ember designed several other buildings for the island as well. There was a town center with a stone fountain surrounded by several stores, a café, an ice cream shop, Pearl's fashion house, a bookstore, and several others that she hoped would be run by gems in the future. Ember wouldn't push gems that didn't like baking to work in a café, though. It would have to be something they enjoyed doing before Ember would allow a gem to work there. She wanted her gems to enjoy what they did. She wouldn't be like the Diamonds of old, forcing her gems into a mold and shattering them when they broke it.

Soon enough, it was Ember and Damien's birthdays, and for the first time in years, the twins celebrated their birthday together and had fun. No one paid one twin more attention than the other. Ember had to tell the gems not to spoil her; she didn't want Damien to feel left out like she used to.

Thankfully, they each got the same amount of gifts, they both got their own cakes, and they both had fun.

After the twins' birthday, the family went shopping for the two children's supplies for Hogwarts. Lily was grumbling about all the Lockhart books on the list. She had already been told that the man would be her new colleague this year and had already warned her children to avoid the man as best they could.

The group had seen Arthur Weasley and Lucius Malfoy fist-fighting in the bookstore and turned around, Lily declaring that they could get their books tomorrow, especially after she noticed the signs saying that Lockhart was doing a book signing. She knew how fame-hungry that man was and was rightfully worried that he would try to use her children for free publicity.

Instead of getting their books, the group went to get ice cream and then finished their shopping for supplies other than the books. The next day, Lily and Amethyst went to the magical alley and picked up the needed books for the twins.

Ember also kept exchanging letters with her friends Daphne and Tracey. Before last year, she never thought she would have friends the same age as her, but now here she was with two best friends, and she couldn't be happier.

She also kept having her Diamond dreams and trained with Yellow, learned from White, talked with Blue, and played with Pink. She reminded herself to take anything they said about the "roles of different gems" with a pinch of salt.

She had finally managed to get shapeshifting down. Unlike when a normal gem shapeshifted and turned the color of their gem, Ember looked just like the thing she was trying to shapeshift into.

She turned into a cat, and instead of a green cat, she turned into a black cat with green eyes. This would be perfect for spying on people; no one looked twice at the cats around Hogwarts, after all.

All in all, it had been a very busy summer, and now Damien and she had to go back to Hogwarts. Ember had already gotten permission from Professor McGonagall and the Minister to have Vera, Sage, and Amethyst at Hogwarts as bodyguards for Damien, Lily, and herself. It was all legal, so there was nothing the Headmaster could do about it.
