A Month Later

"Beata Luna, ad te voco, arma mea cum majestate tua fascina!" Mason uttered, waving his hands over his hoodie, etched with sigils made of blood. The Full Moon, high in the sky, radiated power throughout the world. "Gather magic of Selene, Mother Moon, and bless this hoodie, make it's magic ever lasting."

There was a shimmer, and Ganymede appeared beside him, smiling with sadness. "Selene faded, eons ago, dear boy..." His words stopped as the sigils started to glimmer a silvery mercury color before bleeding into the entire hoodie, adding Selene's blessing to the entire thing. "She faded, how is that possible?"

"Maybe she is more here than you realize, I mean she is worshipped by a ton of pagans... world wide."

Ganymede nodded, eyes wide. Waving his hands over the hoodie, he sensed a subtle power in the hoodie, Selene's essence. The tinniest, most meager spark. "Her blessing is here, but it is faint. It will allow your hoodie to no longer need re-enchanting, but to manifest it's power, it must soak in moonlight. It's also a touch stronger, not much but still..." His eyes widened. "I know what our new mission is going to be... we are going to find Selene! Her power, it was comparable to the Olympians. She was a powerful force, a mighty warrior... with her aid, we would gain greater power... and even Zeus would have to acknowledge us!"

Mason beamed, then he froze. "How do we get started?"

'Find... me...' They both gaped, as a woman's deep voice echoed throughout the air, drifting through the essence of the moonlight itself. 'I await you...'

And they knew, right then, the destiny they would be happy to follow.

Grabbing his hoodie, the boy pulled it on. "Do we need to talk to an Oracle?"

"I am not sure... I do not want the gods to know of this too early...I think we have to be careful, less the wrong person hears of this..." He frowned. "Gather your strength, learn your magic. There is no way you'll find Selene while weak... I think... I think you need a cover story, while you try to find her. Hmm, I have an idea.'

"And that is?"

"Demigods need are often lost on their way to Camp Halfblood, a sanctuary for the Olympian's children. Perhaps you can find them, this would make you allies, give you training and create more power for you while you search."

Mason nodded, determination. "I swear by Styx, we will find Selene... and we will bring her back, one way or another."

The air thrummed with power before Ganymede said. "And I swear to help you in anyway I can."

"Let's get started, but where do we get started?"

Ganymede smirked. "I am privy to a lot of the gods' love tales. I know where many of their children are... let's go to Texas."

'Finally... someone... notices... me.' Selene muttered, her heart aching. 'Find me, mortal witch, and take this terrible burden from me. The burden of Immortality.'

And she wept, finally feeling at the edge of peace as it crept toward her...

Not by the Fate's hands, but by a mortal boy and a kidnapped abused god...
