This was simple but very fun.

The first pull toward the East was a lot for poor Mason, the magnetic pull was harsh and strong, growing in strength as he got closer. He ended up in a place called Lilydale, oddly enough, which had been not far from where he had grown up as a child. Only about two hours or so, he had grown up hearing stories of it, a place of psychics and magic. Knowing what he knew now, he vowed to return and learn all he could from the place. Who knew what parts of the craft he was missing?

"This place is beautiful." He muttered, walking past the gate into the gated garden filled town. Only to feel a webbing of spells, a sign of warding. "There is real magic here, amazing." Drawing on his sensory powers, no longer needing a spell, he focused hard. What he found was a radiated root system of spells and magic, dozens of magical people, including many demigods and so many witches, mortals and more. "This is going to be my home..."

It was then that he realized he felt the power of Selene not far from him, only three shops in. Confused, he walked into that shop, which was actually rather filled with people One lady, with silvery hair, was behind the desk, petting a crescent shaped talisman.

Her eyes caught his the instant he looked at hers, sadness in her eyes. She waved him over to her and when he walked over, he felt a shifting of the Mist ( he had yet to use the Mist but could feel it still) and knew that they would not be overheard. "I knew you were coming for this." She gestured to her talisman. "I am the last line of a Priestesses of Selene, and a witch like you. This artifact, blessed by Selene, took on her powers when she faded in ancient times. Or rather, a fragment of her essence. It's power is great, but fading. I came to this safe place, where no evil can be cast, and waited for one to save her.

I waited for you."

He nodded, taking in her seriousness. "I will care for it, as is it's due."

"I will die when I take it off, it's power kept me immortal as long as I held it." She brushed her hand on his face, their shared blessed artifacts glowing from proximity. "Selene wants you rewarded, but I cannot bless you, nor can she... I will leave you my knowledge, of magic, of the craft. Use it to better the world, child and heal all you can." She shivered, the reminder fo her death making them both sad.

"Will it hurt?"

"My passing? No, I will merely fade from this world... my name is Agnes, child, and you have merely given me rest... My shift ends in about five minutes, I will lead you to my house and their I will pass on my knowing. I will spell it to your safe place. I specialized in wards and healing, I am sure you will happily use what I have gathered over my centuries of life."

True to her word, they were in her house in minutes. She pricked his finger and used a powerful spell in a Language he did not know to harness the Mist to teleport her dozens of spellbooks and grimoires to his safe place, alongside her supplies of potion ingredients. The Mist actually turned red before swirling around and sending them off.

Then she turned to him, kneeling and peeling off her talisman. It was simple and silver, radiating the essence of Selene. Dark and Light, the essence of the Night and Moon.

"This is my gift to you, dear one. Reclaim our goddess and bring her the peace."

The moment he took the Talisman, he felt her life fade as she literally evaporated, leaving not even dust in her wake...

Holding the Talisman skyward, he called out. "Ganymede, take this to safety, please." And in a swirl of power, the talisman faded taken by the Boy God. "Thank you, my friend. I think I'll stick around for a few more days, get a feel for this place before I go."

Ganymede could not believe it, the essence of Selene in his hands, radiating strong power through his flesh. It was only a fragment of her power, but it was still greater than all of his might. "You were something else, Selene." Placing it over his head, he wore it. "I don't trust anyone not to take it, not after the Masterbolt was stolen." The Talisman thrummed and he knew she agreed. "I will keep you safe, and help you find peace. one way or another."

And he walked away, proud of all his beloved Champion had accomplished.
