Hello everyone I'm back once again to bring you another chapter of my story; just letting you all know we are nearing the end. If you are enjoying this series keep on supporting me and my other stories and with nothing else to say let's begin.
Set in Stone: Chapter 35
With Naruto and Samui
Deidera was flying on his clay bird avoiding the hail of projectiles and jutsu coming from down below him; Naruto threw several kunai with explosive tags at Deidera who banked to the side evading the kunai at the last minute. Samui seeing this went through hand signs.
'Lightning Style: Lightning arrow' Samui then pointed both her fingers at Deidera and shot a large bolt of lightning at him; Deidera who was too distracted by dodging the kunai saw the attack and did a risky maneuver. Deidera turned his bird and let it be hit by the lightning jutsu; the bird then began to fall out of the air.
Deidera jumped off and created another clay bird 'damn brats' he thought 'I'm going to run out of clay before I can even launch a decent counter attack' he thought. Deidera then took out 2 lumps of clay and created 2 clay clones along with 2 clay birds 'lets see how they like this' he thought; Deidera then sent both clone and birds at Naruto and Samui.
Naruto began to run across the Oasis water as his bird drew near; Naruto then went through hand signs 'Water Style: Water Vortex' Naruto then sent a water vortex at the clone and bird and went through another set of hand signs. 'Water Style: Water wall' Naruto then created a water wall as he braced for the attack.
The clone and bird were hit by the vortex and exploded upon impact; the explosion then hit the water wall destroying it and sending Naruto flying backwards skipping across the water before he regains his footing.
"Man, I'm glad that worked" Naruto said to himself "thanks for the help Zabuza; I owe you a beer when I get back" he said as he charged back into the fight.
Samui was staring as the bird neared her; as it neared Samui got into a kenjutsu stance and began to focus. Samui began to channel lightning chakra through her whole body; after a few seconds her body became wrapped in lightning.
Samui in a burst of speed rushed towards the clone and bird tanto at the ready; Samui then slached both clone and bird cutting them in half and disabling the explosives. Samui watched as both fell to the ground before they turned back into lumps of clay.
'Darui sensei's technique sure is effective' Samui thought as the lightning wore off; Samui then ran towards Deidera and began to plan her next attack.
'Fuck' Deidera cursed inside his mind 'little shits are better than I thought; I gotta think of something else' he thought as he began to avoid attacks once again.
With Sarada and Kushina
Kushina jumped over Sasori's tail as it slashed where she was just at; she then rushed in Katana at the ready as she closed the distance. Kushina began to slash at Sasori who despite his enormous size was able to dodge the attacks with ease with only his cloak being hit by Kushina.
"Such grace with a sword" Sasori said while dodging "you truly live up to your reputation as the 'Red Death of Konoha'" he said and Kushina smirked.
"My husband didn't just marry me for being a hot piece of ass" Kushina said as she jumped over another attack by Sasori's tail "I'm one of 2 who was able to even come close to beating him; the other being the Raikage himself" she said as she jumped back to gain some distance.
Sasori was about to attack but heard what sounded like chirping coming from his side; he then saw Sarada rushing in with a chidori in each hand.
"Chidori" Sarada shouted; Sasori sent his tail to attack Sarada who used the Chidori in her left hand to hit the tail. The tail was destroyed upon contact making Sasori go wide eyed; Sasori then retaliated by firing a volley of poison senbon at the girl.
Sarada using her sharingan dodged the projectiles and continued to run towards Sasori; Sarada then hit Sasori dead on with her second Chidori. Sasori seeing this jumped out of his larger pupper and landed a couple yards away.
"Such skilled kunoichi" Sasori said standing up "You made me leave my puppet; no one has made me do that in years" he said as he took off his cloak. Sarada and Kushina then looked on in horror as they saw Sasori's puppet body; he had 2 wing like blades coming out of his back, a cable system inside his stomach and a weird cylinder popping out of his chest.
"Now then; it's time I stop laying with my prey" he said as he took out a scroll and opened it; just then 100 puppets with different weapons appeared making both Sarada and Kushina a little more on edge.
'Crap; look like we have no choice' Kushina thought as she made a hand signal.
Sasori was about to attack when he felt 2 of his puppets be destroyed; he looked and saw a figure land next to Sarada and Kushina.
Hinata was standing there with both of her hands blazing with the twin lion fists and her Byakugan activated.
"Sorry Hinata; looks like we'll need some assistance with this guy" Kushina said; she hoped that she would not need to call on her as she was acting as back up.
"It's not a problem mother" Hinata said "I'm more than happy to help" Hinata said with determination.
"Hmm; a Uzumaki, a Hyuga and a Uchiha" Sasori said "you 3 will be perfect for my collection" he said as he sent his army of puppets towards the 3 women.
Outskirts of the battle: With Gaara and Temari
Gaara was annoyed as he felt useless; he knew that Deidera was a horrible match against him and Sasori knew how to combat Shukaku but still it made him uneasy that he was not able to help. Temari seeing this put a hand on his shoulder.
"Patience Gaara" Temari said "they may still need our assistance; so be patient" she said and Gaara nodded.
"I pray that they do not" Gaara said 'I feel useless standing here on the side lines' Gaara thought.
With Naruto and Samui
Samui was running towards Naruto at full speed across the water; Naruto seeing her made a hand sign and created a clone. Both Naruto and his clone locked hands and Samui put her foot on their hands; Naruto and his clone both heaved Samui into the air sending her to Deidera.
Deidera looked on in fear as Samui approached with her lightning covered tanto; Samui slashed Deidera's clay bird disabling it. Deidera then began to fall out of the air towards the ground below; as he turned around to make another clay bird he was faced by Naruto.
"Rasengan" Naruto shouted; Naruto buried the rasengan into Deidera's stomach making him cough up blood and burning his skin. Deidera was sent flying into a abandoned shack crashing into the walls; Naruto and Samui landed looking at the shack.
Deidera came out of the building with a furious look on his face "I will kill you both for that" Deidera snarled "fuck the plan; die" he shouted as he sent 2 dozen clay sparrows toward both Naruto and Samui.
Naruto and Samui both split up as they tried to avoid the birds; Naruto ran in between the buildings trying to lose the clay creations. Naruto created a clone that stayed put; the clone was then greeted by a sparrow that exploded destroying it. Naruto turned around to look behind him and saw several more sparrows following behind him.
"Shit" Naruto cursed as he took out a kunai with a explosive tag; he threw it at the birds. It exploded destroying 2 birds; Naruto looked back ahead and saw a single sparrow coming at him. Naruto went through hand signs 'Earth Style: Mud wall' Naruto created a wall in front of him as the bird made contact; the bird exploded sending Naruto backwards. Naruto immediately got back up and looked at his arm; Naruto saw he was hit by shrapnel and was on fire.
Naruto immediately patted out the fire and began to run once again as he began to throw shuriken and Kunai at the remaining birds "this is so fucking annoying" Naruto shouted as he continued to run.
Samui standing on the water using her tanto to slice through the clay birds destroying them; but she was then greeted with Deidera wielding a kunai. While Taijutsu was not Deidera's forte he was still no slouch; Deidera slashed at Samui who blocked with her tanto. Samui retaliated with a slash to Deidera chest which connected; Deidera felt the sting of his wound and jumped back.
Samui was about to follow but saw something on her tanto; there was a small clay bug. Samui threw her tanto away just in time as it exploded; Samui was burned by the fire but was grateful that she noticed it in time as it would've taken off her hand. Samui then focused on Deidera who was coming at her; Deidera slashed at Samui and cut her across her ribs. Samui however retaliated by kicking Deidera's knee making him lose his balance; Samui then punched him in the face followed by an elbow to the jaw.
Samui may have been injured but she was not out of the fight yet.
With Kushina, Sarada and Hinata
Kushina slashed another puppet in half with her Katana as she did so another came from behind ready to slice her in half; Kushina used her chakra chains to destroy the puppet without looking. Kushina was breathing heavily as this fight was taking its toll on her; she had defeated over a dozen puppets but more and more keep on coming at her.
'Damn; if only Minato was here' Kushina thought 'he'd be able to beat these things in a heartbeat; I swear Naruto needs to learn that damn jutsu' Kushina thought. Kushina then readied herself as another dozen puppets came her way.
Hinata was also fighting Sasori's puppets and was making good progress; her twin lion fists were smashing the puppets to splinters. Her Byakugan gave her 360-degree vision so she could see any attack coming her way with no difficulty; Hinata spun on her heel as she smashed another puppet that came from behind her.
Once she did, she then back flipped over another puppet kicking it's head off before slamming down with her hand; Hinata got back into her gentle fist stance panting from the amount of effort she was putting in. 'I cannot lose here' Hinata thought as she looked at the puppets coming at her.
Sarada was also doing well using her incomplete Susanoo to destroy the puppets attacking her; Sarada could use the next form of Susanoo but it was still taxing on her chakra and she did not want to exert herself. Sarada used her Susanoo's fist to smash her fourteenth puppet "Fuck" Sarada cursed; she then spun around and smashed her fifteenth puppet "fuck" Sarada said again.
"This is so goddamn annoying" Kushina shouted as she kept on destroying puppets.
"Allow me to entertain you then" Sasori shouted as he came down at Kushina with his back blades spinning at an incredible speed. Kushina put her sword up in a defensive posture as Sasori approached; Kushina's sword clashed with Sasori's blades sending sparks all around. Sasori then put both arms forward before then broke open revealing nozzles; Kushina jumped back as fire came out of Sasori's arms scorching the earth where she just stood.
Kushina then rushed it her Katana gleaming as she rushed across the sand; Sasori smiled as he took off one of his arms and revealed a blade. Sasori and Kushina both engaged in sword-on-sword combat; Kushina and Sasori danced around each other as their blades clashed sending sparks into the air.
Kushina ducked under Sasori's blade and attempted to sweep his feet from under him; Sasori jumped and sent a kick to Kushina. Kushina put up her left arm to block the attack but saw a blade come out of Sasori's foot; the blade stabbed into Kushina's arm making her wince in pain. Kushina however fought through the pain and sliced Sasori's leg off; Sasori began to fall forward and Kushina took the opportunity to finish the fight.
Kushina stabbed Sasori through his artificial heart with her sword; a purple ooze coming out and dripping all over her hand as she did so.
Sasori went wide eyed 'one mistake, one mistake is all it took' he thought; he then looked into Kushina's eyes as he died 'damn' was his last thought as he fell forward dead.
Hinata and Sarada were both still fighting Sasori's puppets when the suddenly went limp and fell to the ground; Hinata and Sarada both looked on in confusion until they looked over and saw Kushina pulling her sword out of Sasori. Both girls smiled at the sight but then looked on in horror as Kushina fell down; both girls ran forward and stopped by Kushina's side.
"Mother what's wrong" Hinata said as she pulled out a scroll and revealed a plethora of medical supplies.
"Poison" Kushina said sweating profusely "from the wound on my arm; shit I feel weak" Kushina said; both Sarada and Hinata looked and saw the wound was on Kushina's left arm so the blood went to the heart faster.
Hinata then put on rubber gloves as she handed a pair to Sarada "I will require your help to stabilize her" Hinata said; Sarada took the gloves and got ready.
"Ok let's go" Sarada said as she began to set up a I.V drip while Hinata began to get ready to siphon out the poison from Kushina.
With Naruto and Samui
Naruto and Samui were both assaulting Deidera giving him no chance to fight back; Naruto threw a punch which connected with Deidera's jaw followed up with a kick to the gut. Samui followed up behind with a knee to the temple and a throw sending Deidera into the wall of a house; both blondes looked at the mad bomber who was at his wits end.
'I'm not going to win' Deidera thought taking out a lump of clay 'but neither are they' he thought as he ate the clay making both Samui and Naruto go wide eyed.
"I will leave a lasting impression on this earth" Deidera said as he began to swell up "because this will be my master piece" he shouted. Both Naruto and Samui were about to make a run for it until they saw a sand Tsunami come up from behind Deidera; the tsunami buried Deidera and then compacted him.
Gaara then came down and grabbed both Naruto and Samui before making a sand wall "Brace yourselves" Gaara said as all 3 closed their eyed.
A large explosion erupted from under the earth blowing everyone away; Gaara's sand and his wall weakened the explosion by a little but not enough. Naruto, Samui and Gaara were all sent flying up in the air; Naruto skipped across the water until he crashed into a shack stopping him.
Gaara holding Samui to his chest missed the water and smacked into a palm tree before rolling on the ground coughing up blood when he stopped.
Naruto crawling out of the shack was coughing and groaning "oh man my back" Naruto groaned in pain as he laid down on the sand.
Gaara was breathing heavily he held onto Samui "I think one of my lungs is collapsed" Gaara said.
Just then Temari landed next to Naruto "oh my god are you ok" Temari asked and Naruto groaned.
"Can you get Hinata over here to heal me" Naruto asked through his pain.
"Same here" Gaara said as he let go of Samui who began to comfort Gaara.
"Ok, ok just wait here" Temari said as she rushed to the others.
"Samui" Gaara said and she looked at him.
"Yes, my love" Samui said holding Gaara's hand.
"Your fight was pretty cool" Gaara said with a small smile.
Samui blushed at her boyfriends' use of her signature word "thanks; your sand wall was pretty cool too" she said with a chuckle.
Naruto looking at Gaara and Samui chuckled 'when we get back to Suna I want ramen, a hot bath, and cuddle time with the girls' Naruto thought with a small smile. 'I hope the others won't have as bad of a fight as we did' he thought.
In Kumo at the same time
"Holy shit this bitch lives far" Hidan said as he and Kakuzu walked up the mountain "are you sure this is the way" he asked and Kakuzu groaned.
"Yes, I'm sure Hidan" Kakuzu said annoyed "now shut up or I'll kill you" Kakuzu said which made Hidan scoff.
"I'd like to see you try you greedy fucker" Hidan said.
As they both continued, they walked down a path which led into a dead-end cavern that was at least 500 yards in circumference with 50 foot high walls
"Great you got us lost" Hidan said "where the hell is the 2 tails at" he said looking around.
"Right here" Yugito shouted from the other end of the cavern gaining both of their attentions "Now" Yugito shouted.
Karin with 3 shadow clones finished going through hand signs 'Ninja art: Four Violet Flames Formation'; just then a barrier appeared trapping Kakuzu and Hidan in the cavern.
Yugito jumped down followed by Anko, Tayuya, Omoi and Karui.
"This does not look good" Hidan said readying his scythe.
"Looks like we were lured into a trap" Kakuzu said shedding his cloak.
"Man, how can this get worse" Hidan said.
"Yo, yo, yo" came a boisterous voice; just then another figure dropped down revealing a man wearing sunglasses and carrying multiple swords over his body "look over there it's the Akatsuki, coming for poor Yugito Nii, sadly for thee, you must also battle me, the rapping killa bee" Bee said getting into a stance with a smile on his face while his allies sweat dropped.
"That was fresh as fuck" Tayuya said bumping fists with Bee "If you ever want to colab just let me know; me and my girls are looking to drop another album" she said and Bee nodded.
"Sure, thing little red" Bee said before pointing at Hidan and Kakuzu "but first I want them dead" he said as he took out all his swords and got into a strange battle stance.
Kakuzu looked to Hidan with an angry look "you just had to ask" he said.
