I don't own Naruto nor do I own One Piece. And I know one reviewer said he wants Luffy X Nami. Don't worry, it's happening. I just wanna develop more. The LuNami moments will happen at Drum Island but until then, enjoy.
Sakura gazed at the heap of rocks blocking her way out, her mind buzzing with thoughts. She realized standing around wasn't going to cut it. She had to figure out an escape plan on her own.
At first, she went for the straightforward method, approaching the boulders and giving them a hard push. She groaned with the effort, her muscles straining, but the rocks barely moved an inch. "Well, that's not happening," she mumbled, taking a step back to rethink her options.
Turning around, she looked through the cave, her eyes searching the dim walls for any hint of another exit. She noticed a narrow passageway leading further into the cave. It was dark and spooky, but it seemed like her only choice.
"Here goes nothing," She took a deep breath, bracing herself before heading into the tunnel. The space was tight, with low ceilings that made her crouch as she moved further inside. Her hand rested on the wall for guidance, feeling the cool, damp rock beneath her fingers.
As she went further in, the sound of water dripping echoed around her, and the air got noticeably colder. She rubbed her arms to keep warm, regretting not bringing a jacket. It was hard to see much in the faint light, and the tunnel seemed to go on endlessly.
Out of nowhere, the ground shook again as another earthquake rocked the cave. Sakura leaned against the wall, her heart thumping wildly. She heard distant rocks tumbling and hoped the tunnel wouldn't come crashing down on her.
Once the shaking subsided, she exhaled a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding. She knew she needed to keep moving, find a way out before another quake struck.
Ahead, she noticed a flicker of light. Her heart soared with hope, and she sped up, her eyes locked on the faint glow. As she got nearer, she saw the light came from a small hole in the ceiling, a natural skylight letting in a beam of sunlight.
Standing directly beneath the hole, she gazed at the tempting glimpse of the sky. If only she could reach it, she could climb out and escape the cave. But it was too high to jump, and the smooth tunnel walls offered no footholds.
Sakura bit her lip, her mind racing with ideas. She wasn't about to give up now, She just needed to figure out how to reach that hole...
Nami and Usopp felt the breeze as the giant got closer. He had dark skin and a nose that reminded them of a pig's, with nostrils almost as big as his eyes. His beard was short and dark yellow, shaped like a half-circle that covered his chin. He sported a big Viking helmet on his head. His outfit was a mix of a furry red and white tunic, yellow and black striped pants, and huge yellow shoes. Two thick leather belts were strapped to a weapon holder; one around his waist, the other across his chest. He finished the look with a long blue cape reaching his knees.
His left arm had a big round shield, and a giant battle ax was tucked in a holster at his waist, hidden by his cape.
"Well, what's the answer?" he asked, leaving Nami and Usopp confused.
"C-could you repeat that, please?" Nami asked. "I didn't catch it. Please... sir?" The Giant's face got closer.
"I asked if you had any alcohol," the giant repeated. "I drank mine."
"We have a little," Nami answered.
"Oh you do? That's perfect!" He cheered.
"Just one thing, it's not the drinking kind, it's for disinfecting, if that's acceptable. You're welcomed to it all." She offered. The giant lets out a scream. He then looks from behind to see a T-Rex biting his back.
"A dinosaur?" Nami asked. The Giant growled at the T-Rex, he turned around and drew his ax and chopped off its head making Usopp and Nami scream in fear and held on to each other as tears flown out of their eyes.
"I am Broggy! ELBAPH'S MIGHTIEST WARRIOR! I AM INVINCIBLE! GEBABABABABABA!" He let out a triumphant roar, clutching the dinosaur's head.. "Now I have dinner! And the three of you are invited as my guest!" The two smaller pirates trembled and collapsed. The giant stares down in confusion and reaches his giant finger to poke Usopp.
"You okay?" He wondered.
"Just… pretend you're dead…" Usopp whispered to Nami while he stared at the giant with fear while Nami had her eyes closed.
"But playing dead only fools bears," Nami whispered. "It won't work." The giant looks at them with confusion.
"Whoa, What a amazing view!" Luffy shouted while standing on top of the Dinosaur's head. He spots a lake, some volcanoes and prehistoric birds and a lake.
"We're not here to have a picnic, Luffy!" Vivi shouted.
"Yeah, as much as I wanna ride it, we need to keep moving." Naruto said. Luffy paid no attention to them and noticed something.
"There's active volcanoes here! Not only that, look there's a mountain with huge holes in it!" He shouted.
"It's dangerous up there! Come down already! It may seem nice but it's still a dinosaur!" Vivi shouted.
"We have something in common, we both love to eat! The view's really nice up here, come look!" Luffy stated.
"Luffy, she's right." Naruto shouted. "Get down here so we can explore some more. He ignored the blond ninja and stretches down close to the Brontosarus eye.
"Hey, I wanna go see that mountain, so if it's not too much trouble, would you mind taking me there?" The dinsaur was too busy eating the leaves, leaving Luffy looking annoyed. "You haven't listened to a word I've said, have ya? Gimme a ride, would you?" He jumps back on his hand and pointed to the opposite direction.
"It's over that way, that way." He grabs it by the neck and spins it around. Naruto and Vivi yelled out in shock.
"Oh man, what a moron." Naruto mumbled. Suddenly, a massive footstep echoed. They both let out a scream. It was another Brontosarus.
"I think that's its brother!" Naruto shouted as more Brontosaurus appeared. Luffy burst out laughing, thrilled by the scene, while his friends were more on edge about it.
"Luffy, Let's get out here, before those Dinosaurs get pissed off and eats us! Naruto shouted.
"Hey, these other dinosaurs are much taller. That means if I jump on one, I'll even have a better view!" Luffy said.
"THAT'S NOT HIS POINT, YOU FOOL!" Vivi shouted. Luffy then stretches his arms towards one of the Brontosaurus and Lands on it.
"Yep, just as I thought. I can see way better from here."Luffy yelled at the top of his lungs. At the same time, a Brontosaurus was creeping up from behind. He quickly turned and saw it coming straight for him. Right before it could take a bite, Luffy jumped and landed on another one. The Brontosaurus kept following, one after the other, until one finally gulped him down. Naruto and Vivi gasped in shock.
"Luffy, oh no! He's been eaten alive!" Vivi cried. While Karoo's eyes bugged out.
"We gotta get him out of there!" Naruto said. He was searching for something th cut the dinosaur in order to free Luffy. Speaking of which, Luffy finds himself inside the Creature's mouth.
"It got so dark." Luffy said while chilling on the dinosaur's tongue. Then, he started sliding down toward its throat. His hat almost dropped, but he managed to snag it just in time. Then all of a sudden, the Brontosaurus' head cut off. Karoo screamed to see a giant carrying a sword. The giant rocked a long blue beard that hung all the way to his waist and looked super buff. His battle helmet had a cool ridge on top and eye pieces that curved around his eyes. He sported a fluffy white tunic cinched with hefty leather belts around his waist. He wore beige pants and tall black boots, with a blue cape draping down to just behind his knees. Luffy's plummeting through the air when he spots the Dinosaur sliced in two. Just before he hits the ground, the giant who took down the Dinosaur catches him. Meanwhile, Naruto and Vivi see the Dinosaur's head slam into the earth. Luffy gasped in shock as the Giant laughed.
"That was glorious! Watching the likes of you grapple with long necks was the most entertainment that I've had in quite a while. You are my first visitor in a long time!"
"Wow, you're huge! Are you human?" Luffy asked in awe.
"Human, what a joke! GEGYAGYAGYAGYA!" The giant scoffed. "I AM DORRY, THE GREATEST WARRIOR OF ELBAPH! GEGYAGYAGYAGYA!" Vivi turns to Naruto with shock and awe as she fell to her knees.
"Naruto...I've heard that they exist but I've never actually seen one before!"
"Whoa!" Naruto exclaimed. He remembered reading about giants but never thought he would witness one. Luffy grinned.
"By the way, I'd like you to meet Naruto, Vivi and Karoo." He pointed. Vivi turns to Luffy in annoyance while waking up Karoo.
"That's great Luffy!" Vivi snapped. "Just can't shut up!" They hear the giant guffaw some more.
"You're all invited to my home!" Naruto and Vivi looked at each other in shock. He looks up at the giant while rubbing his golden hair.
The giant by the name of Broggy brings Nami and Usopp over to his spot. He sets them down in a cave that's packed with bones. Meanwhile, Broggy's busy cooking up the dinosaur that took a bite out of him. Nami and Usopp are still pretending to be out cold. Usopp glances at Nami.
"How long do we have to lay here pretending to be dead?" He asked.
"I don't know." Hissed Nami. "This may fool bears and racoons but it doesn't worth a damn on giants!" Usopp moves his eyes and examines a pile of skulls. He gasped, making Broggy heard it and turned around to see them still lying there.
"We're supposed to be dead, moron!" Nami reminded him.
"I'm sorry, I could help it," Usopp said. "There are tons of skulls everywhere!"
"The next ones he takes will be ours," Nami whimpered.
"This is the end, he's gonna pick our bones clean!" Usopp whispered.
"Shut up!" NAMI seethed.
"Well it's true!" Usopp exclaimed.
"Enough," Nami she lifted herself from the ground. "I'll be damned if I'm just gonna sit around here and wait to die!" They could hear the giant humming a tune. Nami noticed the giant looking their way, so she carefully got to her feet and quietly eased out of the heap of bones. Usopp followed her lead, sneaking along behind her. They made their way straight through the jungle. They kept running until they felt sure they were a good distance from Broggy. Usopp then dropped to his knees, and both he and Nami took a moment to catch their breath.
"We made it!" Nami gasped, "Amazing!"
"Yeah… at least we got… far way… from that giant stomach…" Usopp was out of breath. He noticed something wet trickling down the back of his neck. In a nervous moment, he glanced up and saw a massive tiger perched on a tree branch.
"But..." Nami exclaimed, her face a picture of fear. "We ran from the belly of a hungry giant right in to the belly of a tiger." Both of them turned around and get chased by the tiger. Usopp jumped over a broken tree while Nami run under it. The tiger jumped over. Seconds later, the tiger jumped to the opposite direction the two screaming pirates are being chased by a dinosaur.
"AAAAAAHHH! DINOSAUR!" ""I DON'T WANNA DIE! NOT WITHOUT MY BERRIES! SOMEONE HELP ME!" Suddenly, a massive foot crashed down right in front of them, bringing everyone to an abrupt halt. They all looked to see it was Broggy. He licked his mouth at the sight of the dinosaur. Both Nami and Usopp shuddered. The Dinosaur and Tiger ran away but both humans stood still
"We're dead!" Gulped Usopp. "We have no chance of escaping this cursed jungle! All we can do is choose whose stomach we end up with!"
"We did everything we could, exhausted every Option! It's time we accept our fate!" He lowers his head to their level and grins.
"I see the two of you are awake at last! The meat is done, so have some in appreciation for the alcohol!" Nami and Usopp both let out a whimper as the giant carried him back to his spot. Nami looked utterly shocked, and Usopp's eyes went wide with surprise when the giant set his dinosaur meat down next to them.
"Go on! Eat, my friends! It tastes delicious!"Broggy insisted as he took a bite of his dinosaur meat.
"I... I think I've lost my appetite." Nami said.
"Don't be shy now! Dig in!" Broggy said.
"No, I don't wanna eat." They both said in unison.
"Huh? Dinosaur meat is sweet." Broggy recommended. "I promise you it's quite tasty."
"I guess he's trying to fatten us up before he kills us." Usopp said.
"We'll be plump and juicy." Nami said. She looked at the giant. "Broggy, sir. Do you mind if I ask you a question?"
"What's on your mind, young lady?" Broggy asked.
"Um… how long will it take to reset the Log on this island?" Nami inquired.
"ONE WHOLE YEAR!" Both Nami and Usopp gasped then fell down. Nami cried again.
"A year? If we waited that long to eat, we wouldn't have stomachs to feed." She whined.
"It's over. We have to admit defeat."
"Don't tell me you're gonna fall asleep again." Broggy laughed. "YABABABABABA!"
Just nearby, Luffy was cracking up with Dorry at his place, leaving Naruto, Vivi, and Karoo scratching their heads. The giant handed Luffy some dinosaur meat.
"You sure know how to cook, Giant." Luffy stated.
"Why thanks for the compliment." Dorry said as he was holding Luffy's lunch between his fingers. Gegyagyagya!"
"Yeah, I know what you mean," Luffy took a bite of the dinosaur meat. "But the chef on my ship made it especially for this trip, so I'm glad you liked it. Otherwise I'd have to beat you up." Naruto's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe what he heard.
"Was that a threat, shorty?" Dorry asked. Luffy joined Naruto while Karoo dropped his drink before the giant went back to laughing. "I like you, little pirate! You're funny!"
"They're becoming fast friends," Vivi muttered.
"At least he's not gonna eat us." Naruto said. He turns to Dorry. "Say, Mr. Dorry. Do you live here?"
"I came from a village." He answered the blond haired Ninja.
"A village of warriors called Elbaph. It once was home, but I no longer call it that."
"Why?" Luffy asked.
"There are certain rules in Elbaph which must be obeyed," Dorry explained. "If a fight breaks out and neither side yields, judgment is handed down by Elbaph's God. Whoever he deems to be righteous will be declared the winner and be granted survival as well as divine protection."
"So Elbaph's God decides," Luffy frowned. "That doesn't seem fair."
"I agree with Luffy here." Naruto stated.
"Fair or not, this is our battle ground, and our god will decide who is righteous and who is worthy in winning both the dual and his life. We've fought for a century, but Elbaf has yet to choose a champion." Dorry said.
"You guys have been fighting for more than a hundred years?!" Luffy asked in awe.
"Whoa... you still look younger. Like my Hokage Tsuande." Naruto commented.
From a human's point of view, one hundred years may seem like a long time," Dorry replied. "But it isn't considering a giant's average lifespan is three-times yours. Gegyagyagyagya!"
"Even with all the time in the world, I'd think your desire would wane after a hundred years of the same battle." Vivi cuts in. ""At this point is there any real animosity left between you? Or are you just fighting to fight?"
Sanji was back at the forest carrying the T-Rex he has killed earlier by tying it up with vines. He smirks, thinking he has the advance against Zoro.
"Well, I think there's little risk of being outdone by Zoro." He grinned, he then gets into a lovey tone. "I almost feel sorry for him. And I have this dinosaur to use to impress Sakura and she dumps Naruto."
Sakura pushes Naruto out of the way and examines the dinosaur.
"Wow, Sanji, that's amazing!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with awe. "You actually took down a dinosaur?"
Sanji nodded, his chest puffed with pride. "With a single, perfectly executed kick," he said, striking a pose.
Sakura laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You're something else, Sanji," she said, shaking her head. Naruto looks up with disgust.
Sanji eyes turned into hearts and he swoons over Sakura. What he doesn't know is Zoro is walking towards him holding the Triceratops.
"I beat him. With this haul. Sanji doesn't have a chance of winning." Pretty soon, both men met up with their meat. Both of them smirked.
"Hey, Zoro!" Sanji said.
"Hey, Sanji!" Zoro greeted.
"I am the winner!" They both declared. They both glared.
"You've lost, Damn it!" They then put each dinosaur side by side to compare sizes.
"Look! As you can see, my team's catch is bigger!" Sanji smirk.
"Moron! This competition's about weight! How much meat we bring in, not the length of the beast! And mine is obviously way bigger than yours!"
"Ha!" Sanji scoffed. "Who cares how husky your dinosaur is? All that matters is the amount that can be cooked. And that thing's all bones. You're carrying maybe four pounds of meat there."
"That thing you're lugging around is nothin' but muscle and skin!" Sanji sighed.
"This is pathetic, I'm not gonna waste my arguing with you. Tell you what, I'll go capture another beast just to shut you up.
"Yeah?" Zoro said. "Well, if you're going after a different one, then so am I. I won't let you cheat me out of my win because of a dumb technicality." He and Sanji then hear the Volcano erupt.
"Alright. The next eruption from that volcano will signal the end of the competition. You have until then to secure your prey and return to the Going Merry." Sanji declared.
Luffy, Naruto and Vivi from Dorry's home, looked at the same volcano exploding Sanji and Zoro looked at earlier.
"Whoa, that's some explosion!" Luffy exclaimed.
"Yeah..." Naruto agreed with crossed arms.
"Well then, it's time to get going..." Dorry announced. With a determined gaze, he gets to his feet. Luffy spins around, eyes gleaming with purpose. Naruto spots it too and grins.
"Looks like he's ready for a fight, Luffy!" Naruto exclaims. Luffy's fists tremble with excitement.
"No way, that's awesome!"
Nami and Usopp heard the volcano erupting coming from Broggy's house.
"What was that?" Asked a scared Nami. Broggy let his meat fall into the fire. The pirates glanced up at the giant. Usopp and Nami looked up in confusion. They looked at his determined eye.
"Please forgive me but there's something that I must attend to." He walked away leaving the three.
"You're leaving?" Nami asked.
"No choice. That's the signal that my opponent and I use for our fight." Broggy answered.
"A fight?" Nami asked.
"With who, where? And more importantly why?" Inquired Usopp.
"Why?" Asked Buggy. "I don't remember!"
Not too far away from Broggy, Dorry explained his story. "And before we realized, it became our routine... That volcano is our marker. Whenever it erupts, we begin." Naruto and Luffy were amazed while Vivi was appalled.
"It's senseless!" She cried. "How could you have so much hatred for someone that you'd fight them for a century? What could have happened to make you this mad?"
"Vivi, that's enough." Luffy said. Vivi gasped in confusion.
"He's right." Naruto said. Vivi turns her head at him. "It's not what this is about." It was quiet there except for the birds chirping.
"Your friends are right." Dorry commented. "This is about honor." He runs off to the forest and runs off to fight the other giant Broggy.
"I have forgotten..." Dorry said as he swings at Broggy but the fellow giant blocked his attack. "THE REASON FOR OUR BRAWL!" The titanic duel sent ripples across the entire island. Vivi and Karoo gasped. Luffy was so thrilled he toppled over, losing his hat in the process. Naruto landed on his feet, completely amazed. Vivi looked down.
"What's the matter?" She asked. Luffy gasped.
"This fight...it's... wow."
"I agree Luffy. I wish Sakura was here." He then stands up. and wiped his pants. "Speaking of which... I better go find her. Before we left, I heard her say she is looking for some medicine. She might need my help." He turns to Vivi. "You two will be all right?"
"Yeah..." Vivi sadly smiled. "I have Luffy with me. Go help Sakura look for medicine."
"Right..." Naruto nodded and turns around. "We'll meet you at the Merry." He stated and with that he took off.
Speaking of Sakura, she is still trapped in a cave. She paused for a moment, staring at the massive pile of rocks blocking her way out. She sighed, her shoulders drooping a bit. "Perfect, just perfect!" she grumbled to herself. "Trapped in a cave without my medical kit."
Taking a deep breath, she pushed aside her frustration. "Alright, Sakura, think. There's got to be a way out." She scanned the cave walls, hoping to spot a hidden exit or a weak spot in the boulders.
After a few minutes of careful searching, she realized her only option was through the boulders. Rolling up her sleeves, her face set with determination, she said, "Okay, let's tackle this the hard way."
She approached the pile and began pushing and pulling at the smaller rocks, trying to make a small gap. Progress was slow, and the distant rumble from the creature deeper in the cave made it tough to focus. But she persevered, muscles straining with every effort.
After what seemed like forever, she finally opened up a small gap, just big enough to squeeze through. She paused, catching her breath and wiping sweat from her brow.
"Well, that's a start," she said, her voice a mix of exhaustion and triumph.
A dinosaur trudged through the jungle and suddenly noticed... a white cube... and it had a door. He took bite of it with his razor sharp teeth. The cute shattered the dinosaurs teeth and it broke.
"Hey..." A voice called. "If you're done, get out the way..." The Dinosaur turned around to see Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine arriving. Mr. 5 prepares to attack but Miss Valentines stopped him.
"Wait, I can handle this..." She smirked. She then floats up in the air with her umbrella. "TAKE THIS! 10,000 KILO PRESS!" She cried as she took a huge hit at the dinosaur with her landing. After she killed the dinosaur, she and Mr. 5 entered the cube.
"Oh, hello, Mr.5." Mr. 3 greeted. He took a sip of his tea. Mr. 5 lets out a hmph and closed the door.
"I'm impressed by the décor. You have a talent for turning the most savage environment into a home. I admire you. Which is why I feel compelled to remind both of you that this mission belongs to me and Miss. Valentine."
"Rest assured, we won't slip up like last time." She said.
"Slip up?" asked Mr. 3 as he took another sip. "That's not why I'm here. Mr. 5, Miss. Valentine, the simple fact of the matter is: you're both weak." Both of them glared at the man drinking his tea. Both of them glared at the higher ranked Baroques work agent. "Don't waste your energy pouting, it is what it is. Take a look at this." He pulls out a poster and showed them two familiar giants.
I'd like to thank you both for giving me an excuse to come to this island. I'll enjoy the opportunity to hunt some truly big game. Hoohoohahaha!" Mr. 5 examined the posters and turns to his leader.
Dorry the Blue Ogre and Broggy the Red Ogre of the Giant Warrior Pirates.
Everyone's heard of them," said Miss. Valentine. "They're an ancient legend. This poster's over a hundred years old."
"Well those two legends are alive and well on this island." Mr. 3 smirked. "They've been battling over a century now. Back when that poster was new the bounty on both of their heads was 100,000,000 berries a piece, two hundred million for the both of them."
"But that doesn't change that fact that they're giants."
"There's a wise saying: 'Superior criminals are those who execute their crimes using superior intellect.'" Mr. 3 said. "All you have to do is follow my precise instructions. With a smidgeon of forethought and perseverance we can find the solution to even the most gargantuan of obstacles."
Sakura: I'm not giving up on myself.
Sanji: Zoro do us a favor and capture a big one this time!
Zoro:Ha, are you gonna bring back something than the tiny lizard?
Usopp: Shut up you two. Can't you see the duel of duels have started?
Naruto:I gotta find Sakura... I have a feeling she's in trouble!
Luffy:Whoa, the Alcohol exploded!
Vivi:That's the barrel we gave them to drink."
Luffy: On the next Shiniboi X Strawhats... Luffy gets angry. I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!
Naruto: And I am gonna be Hokage!
Uh-oh... it looks like the Strawhats are in trouble. Next chapter might be shorter than original episode before the climax of Long Garden. That will be a long one. Like I said, I will write LuNami. Just not yet but it will take place in pre timeskip... . Please be patient about it Until then, enjoy this chapter. Also, another announcement... I plan to write the movie Strong world in this fic. That is... if you would like to see it. I'm sure you LuNami fans would.
