Midoryia's Neighborhood
As Izuku made his way into his neighborhood, he expected to meet his mother since it was just after 3 pm. He solely hoped to reach the junkyard where he trained and spend a few minutes in peaceful mindfulness. He also wanted to go to the place he first started his journey of training, and that was a junkyard. He made a mental note to return to it later today. He would write about All Might and recount the events of the past few days, then spend some time enjoying and reviewing the manga he had collected. It was still a nice and peaceful time, but unfortunately, that was about to change. Especially since he heard a terrifying yelp in the distance, at the far end of the neighborhood where he was. As he blinked, taking in the deserted street before him, he knew the moment acted.
Alright, no more staring at the street. It's time to get moving. Izuku was tempted to use a flight quirk or the speed quirk granted by the omnitrix at this moment, but given his current distance, it wasn't the right time. He preferred not to squander the valuable usage of his quirk when the situation was merely a two-minute sprint away.
While Izuku was examining the watch, he had forgotten the notes he was going to finish writing about the quirk he used the least. It was cool and all but only useful for water travel or situations. Izuku finished making the distance, but he was caught off guard by the fact that the thief was a young woman of average build and height, with brown eyes, and long red hair styled into a spiky hairstyle, so spiky almost like a pair of knives. Her most striking feature was the black jacket she wore over her purple bodysuit with sleeves sporting a gray and light purple pattern, along with black boots. She had two masked criminals helping her as well.
An immense explosion almost sent him tumbling. The blast originated from the bank. Izuku whirled around. Two masked individuals in biker jackets much like the woman wearing the jacket that Izuku saw. They stepped out of the bank, toting bags that contained cash, and brandishing firearms. One of them had some kind of support gear for their quirk.
"Okay, enough standing. It's hero time!" Izuku spouted as he stared at the omnitirx without another minute to lose he turned the dial to a shadow of an animalistic figure on all fours. He would have chosen a different one, but he was on the verge of being trampled by the two criminals! He slammed his hand onto the watch's surface, enveloping himself in a bright lime green light that halted the three criminals in their tracks, captivated by its glow.
"A dog?!" exclaimed the two criminals in unison, standing there completely stunned and baffled by the sight of a muscular, orange, furry dog with teeth as sharp as knives. The beast also sported claws and a tuft of green hair on its head, while the rest of its body was cloaked in orange fur.
"I don't care what it is! Stop staring at the mutt and get out with the money!" The boss yelled, at least Izuku thought she was.
"Alright, Fido... How about we put you down!" said the thief, as the support gear wrapped around his arms began to glow and expand, transforming his hands into hammers made of his skin. This granted him strength, but without his support gear, the hammers of his quirk would make it impossible for him to move his arms whenever he used them.
"Hey, stop!" – Izuku yelled inside his head. It came out as a roar in person, he briefly forgot that Wildmutt couldn't speak with words like everyone else. It was a bit easy to forget when you have nine other quirks to think about. Wildmutt instantly felt two of the criminals nearing him. However, it's not like they hurt him when Wildmutt dodged with ease and avoided each attempted smash from the thief. This was easy to avoid for him, at this point he just needed to counterattack attack and with ease, he did with a powerful swipe against one of the thief's hammering hands and started to immediately go for the next one with a tight bite of his jaw.
"Agh!" The thief bellowed in agony, and although his boss and colleague wanted to assist him, they were both taken aback by the formidable and striking maneuvers of the large, orange, furry dog.
"I'm done for, I can't move my arms without my support gear!" He shouted as Wildmutt observed him floundering, dropping the bag of cash. His colleague immediately lunged for it, but Wildmutt's keen senses warned him of an impending sharp sting. Swiftly, Wildmutt fortuitously dodged the stabbing thrust from their boss, whose hair was razor-sharp. Wildmutt had no desire to be stabbed or bleed from anything so red, lustrous, and sharp.
"Rojo?! You aren't going to help me?!" The villain croaked as his teammate also left him to suffer as his support gear was out of his reach. Rojo ignored the cries for assistance and continued attempting to cut Wildmutt with her sharp hair tendrils. Her jacket had a small rip on the back of it from Wildmutt's claws.
"Agh, that jacket is custom-made!" Rojo grumbled in frustration. Wildmutt snarled confidently, swiping his claw again and slicing off a bit of Rojo's hair, leaving strands scattered on the floor. Wildmutt then stomped his leg hard on the ground. Suddenly, he felt as if he were in the air, reminiscent of the times Izuku used him to swing from branch to branch in the forest. With graceful ease, he rose and blocked Rojo's sweeping leg attack. She was too slow to react as Wildmutt's sharp claws cut through her spiky hair, rendering her unable to use the sharp, knife-like strands she still possessed. Defeated, Rojo could only watch as Wildmutt attempted a chuckle, as much as a dog could.
At least Izuku was nice enough to let her have her jacket.
The task was not yet complete. Wildmutt, utilizing his acute senses, picked up the noise of a vehicle accelerating and taking a sharp turn. He was aware that he had mere seconds to act before the van, now under the control of the final criminal, would be upon him. The massive black van was threateningly close, yet his resolve was firm: he would not become roadkill.
Wildmutt effortlessly leaped into the air, and with precise timing, he landed squarely on top of the van. Utilizing his keen analytical abilities, he plunged his claws deep into the van's ceiling, causing the criminal inside to panic even more with a fleeting glance at the beast above him. The criminal was cautious not to collide with anything, a task made significantly more challenging with a large orange creature atop his vehicle.
"Get lost, Mutt!" the criminal barked. Clinging to the car with his feet and one arm, Wildmutt lowered his body towards the window and reached into the van with his free arm, confronting the criminal's panicked face. With swift action, Wildmutt seized the criminal's mask, yanking him closer to the window, then grasped his arm, pulling him from the speeding van just as it collided with a street post. The post, surprisingly sturdy, wobbled slightly above the alarmed citizens but did not fall. The swift movement rendered the criminal unconscious as he slumped into Wildmutt's grasp. Wildmutt leaped and carefully laid him on the sidewalk beside the store they had tried to steal from. Rojo was officially beyond assistance.
"We seriously got bested by a dog?! You two are the worst criminals I've ever hired!" Rojo yelled, still bound. Alas, Wildmutt's victory was fleeting. He had only five minutes before he would revert to his regular form, and he needed those critical minutes to face a new menace: two sinister drones advancing with glowing red lasers.
"SERIOUSLY?! A ANOTHER DRONE ATTACK?!" In his mind, Izuku screamed, but as Wildmutt, it emerged as an aggressive roar audible from blocks away. He suspected a pro hero might soon arrive to ask questions. Eager to avoid further delay, Wildmutt decided to quickly deal with the drones and then return home for a well-deserved nap after the day's excitement.
Wildmutt dodged the incoming lasers, but unfortunately, the criminal's support gear was completely shattered by the laser, making his arms unbearably heavy and immobile. Wildmutt felt a pang of guilt, vowing to prevent such an outcome in the future. Spotting a drone heading straight for him, Wildmutt acted with swift precision. He timed his jump, leaped onto the drone with a fierce growl, and snarled as he bit into its top. He continued to tear pieces from it, spitting them onto the ground, reducing the drone to a heap of scrap on the sidewalk. The drone went deep into the ground and shattered into pieces as Rojo and her flunkies watched. Wildmutt immediately changed his attention to the second drone that was coming at him. Thankfully he was smart enough to counter and dashed to the side as he grabbed the drone's top with his strong jaw and spat it out towards the motionless motorbike. The bike fell on top of the broken drone and both items were destroyed but at least the second drone was down.
"Freeze, whatever you are!" Wildmutt heard the officer's shout while sporting a feline head. Realizing he had less than a minute before reverting, he reluctantly prepared to climb again and leave the crime scene. He leaped onto the dumpster, using it to propel himself higher, then scaled the building with his sharp claws. The officer watched, stunned and awestruck, as the unfamiliar orange creature ascended beyond his reach. Fortunately, there was little physical work left; Rojo was secured, the drones were destroyed, and two criminals were trapped alongside her.
"Damnit!" Rojo cursed under her breath as the officer watched her, waiting for his colleague to emerge from the newly arrived police car. He pulled a pair of shackles from his vest while his partner went to retrieve another set from their vehicle.
"Shouldn't you be playing with yarn, hairball?" Rojo questioned which made the guard raise an eyebrow.
"And shouldn't you be quietly cooperating with us?" The officer replied.
"Ugh, I hate police officers." Rojo noticed they were coming closer with the shackles.
"What do you want to do with the scrap metal here?" Another office asked who just arrived on the scene.
"Um... some newer pro is on his way, let's leave it be until he gets here."
"I didn't want to touch it anyway... looks strange."
"Same..."
A couple of minutes later
Moments earlier, the pro-hero Mr. Brave had joined the police in securing the criminals inside the police vehicle. Shackles were fastened, and the only light came from the sun's rays filtering through the windows. He observed the officers hurrying. As they drove off, Mr. Brave turned his attention to the scrap metal from the drone, opting to collect it in a trash bag rather than by hand. It wasn't ideal, but it was more practical. While gathering the scraps, he felt something amiss when he picked up the last piece. He couldn't pinpoint it, but it was peculiar as if he were under surveillance. Despite the area being sealed by the police, leaving no room for onlookers, he couldn't shake the feeling of being stalked.
"Huh, you're glowing..." remarked Mr. Brave, clad in a dark blue bodysuit with lighter patches on his forearms and hands. The red light emanating from the drone reflected off his golden armor plates, casting an eerie glow on the situation. The building's shadows lay still, yet fragments of the drone's scrap lurked within that shadowy area. Mr. Brave resolved to act swiftly, seizing the pieces hastily, while the remainder of the scrap was bagged in trash bags, ready to be delivered to the Hero Public Safety Commission. Yet, his plan was abruptly halted.
A metallic wire, nearly as large as Mr. Brave's hand, pierced his neck akin to a bug bite. Wires from the drone started threading through the wound, causing it to bleed as they infiltrated his bloodstream. The pain was so intense he couldn't scream for help; he would have done anything to make it stop. His skin felt tighter and heavier. The mask descended onto his face, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't tear it off; his strength was fading fast. He had become so sluggish that he couldn't move a muscle. Lying on the floor, he was nearly concealed by the large trash bags brimming with scraps, which stood in front of him as he collapsed to the ground.
"Listen to me closely. You will obey me," commanded a voice, chillingly sinister in its tone.
"W-who are you?!" Mr. Brave shouted as he noticed his skin was turning completely red. The same shade of red as the drones were.
"No questions! You're under my control." The voice commanded once again.
As Mr. Brave collided with the floor, he gradually rose to his knees. His fingers became sharper, and his skin turned an intense red, a stark contrast to its previous tan hue. Metallic headgear replaced his old golden one, and a makeshift visor now covered his eyes. This new, high-tech device scanned the surroundings, providing him with details about people, locations, and various quirks.
"Stop! I don't like this!" Mr. Brave barely coughed up his words as the transformation was almost complete.
"I don't care. You will NOT waste this new power." The voice suddenly got even scarier.
"W-what?! Why me?!" The transformation was completed as soon as Mr. Brave asked his question.
"I said no questions! Question me again or disobey me and I'll turn you into dust." Mr. Brave gulped after that.
"W-what do you want from me?" Mr. Brave inquired with tears streaming from his eyes, they shortly stopped flowing almost forcefully.
"I require a powerful item that is on your planet. You already know what it is from your new power."
"O-okay. Will you let me go if I get it?" Mr. Brave questioned.
"ENOUGH QUESTIONS! GET IT FOR ME NOW OR YOU'LL BE DUST!" The voice thundered with such intensity that it nearly caused Mr. Brave's head to burst as if it were a balloon. Transformed into a monstrous cyborg, he was compelled to pursue the Omnitrix. Failure to secure it would mean the end of everything he knew. Very little remained of his original hero uniform, he at least still had his hair and the blue bodysuit, however.
Mausutafu Beach (Junkyard)
"What a day. I've only used two of my quirks and I'm already exhausted," Izuku muttered to himself as he observed the device. It was in its recharging phase. However, what drew his attention was the dial displaying a shape that resembled a bedsheet ghost, the kind children wear to pretend to be ghosts on Halloween. It cast a bright electric red glow on Izuku's face, but what intrigued him most was the transformation itself. The quirks it possessed were powerful, yet they felt so foreign. Izuku recalled the chills he felt the first few times he used it. He vowed to reserve its use for only the direst situations. The nightmares were also overwhelming; he experienced them solely about this transformation and no others.
"Alright, enough stalling." He told himself.
He stood at the edge of the beach in his casual clothing, a shirt, shorts, and a deep breath as he looked and felt proud to see all the trash that blocked most of the beach was officially gone. It was a beautiful sight and to top it all off he spent a lot of also getting time to practice with each of the ten of his quirks. He vaguely had most of them down but still struggled with a couple. Flying was fun but had to take a little while to get used to.
He reminisced about his training sessions here with All Might, the number one hero and, in his opinion, the greatest of all. His accomplishments would not have been possible without meeting his mentor and the immense effort he invested in himself. Izuku envisioned becoming a hero akin to All Might, and with each passing day, he was inching closer to that dream. He aspired to assist everyone, the quirkless. He aimed to emulate All Might, to be a beacon of hope, inspiring all individuals regardless of their status. Whether quirked or quirkless, mutant or emitter, possessing heroic or villainous quirks, all deserved hope. He, too, had learned the importance of clinging to hope.
After taking a few minutes to breathe, relax, and think about the future and his goal. He took one last deep breath before starting to leave the beach. He wanted to do a little bit of writing in his journal. After that, it'd be time for dinner.
Before proceeding, however, he glanced at his omnitrix and pressed a small button. He at the surface and kept twisting it for a few minutes as various silhouettes appeared. While he was familiar with all ten of them, he wondered if would unlock any more had used of these throughout his training. Unfortunately, this was a mistake. Unknown to him, the omnitrix a sudden ringing noise was only picked up by a certain individual.
"Wait... What is that?" Izuku asked himself as he turned around. He felt as if he were being stalked, particularly since the beach behind him appeared rather empty. Why would he be stalked now? He had already had enough action one day. At least tomorrow was the weekend.
He was filled with a different sensation. He felt as though something was amiss, as if were being watched Izuku's eyes spent the time searching for the source of this feeling. For no other reason than to know who was interested in him. He glanced at his omnitrix quickly, readying it in case of an attack. Given his recent luck, he was ambushed by mysterious drones at the most unexpected times. The Hero Public Safety Commission had not yet identified who was sending them.
"Hello? Anyone out there?" Izuku asked, but he received no answer. It was foolish of him to expect one. He was on edge and already making mistakes. Iz carefully turned around and spent some time walking away from the beach, keeping his arms ready to press down on the Omnitrix. There were a couple of trees ahead as he neared the exit of the beach, which was close to Izuku's neighborhood.
"Crap!" Izuku thought as he noticed a laser zinged past him as the attacker appeared behind him, he was very surprised and felt bad that the tree was the victim of the laser, but it was better than himself or a citizen. Izuku had a feeling a fight was about to brew and watched as his attacker grew closer to him.
"Who are you?! What do you want?!" Izuku questioned with panic as he extended his arm and hastily turned the dial on his Omnitrix, selecting a quirk out of fear as another laser was about to collide with his. Mr. Brave, in his cybernetic form, shielded his eyes as a bright flash of limelight shone brightly ahead of him. The light disappeared, revealing the figure of a person on fire.
"You look like those drones..." Izuku thought as he stood up with a fiery wisp to his voice. He was now one of the transfromations he had and dubbed himself as 'Heatblast', "Are you connected with them?!" Heatblast hollered as he positioned himself with a block another laser was fired after he spoke.
"You can say that... You're coming with me whether you like it or not!" Heatblast sighed after hearing that, "That's not the first time I've heard that this week." Heatblast commented.
Heatblast threw a fireball ahead of him as Mr. Brave avoided it. A series of metal tendrils escaped from Mr. Brave's body and wrapped around Heatblast effortlessly. Unfortunately for Mr. Brave, Heatblast easily broke free by generating intense heat and shaking himself like a firecracker, causing the tendrils to explode. He was as bright as a firecracker, and someone would probably notice that.
"What are those things made of?!" Heatblast exclaimed, hurling another fireball. Mr. Brave wavered slightly as he observed his tendrils incinerate the sandy ground. They were soon by a layer of sand as Heatblast advanced for a series of melee attacks. Heatblast's fists connected with Mr. Brave's torso were aching and he continued to struggle to keep up. However, he remembered that failure was not an, he would be finished. Without thinking, he blocked one of Heatblast's punches and kicked him in the stomach. This caused Heatblast to stumble back slightly, giving Mr Brave the perfect opportunity to grab the staggering Heatblast by his arm and drag him through the windy air.
"Could you let me go, please?!" Heatblast whined, "Sure, enjoy the fall!" Mr. Brave commented as he hovered in the air loosening his on Heatblast and watching him fall to the bright blue ocean below. With only twenty seconds before impact, he flipped over midair and lowered his hands beneath him. His legs remained further than his arms, leaving him with merely ten seconds to execute his plan to avoid the ocean. Heatblast successfully generated a barrage of fire beneath him, providing a slight lift. However, he emitted a small cry of pain as his leg briefly entered the water before elevating himself with his flames. Utilizing his other arm he launched a flamethrower-like attack behind him, propelling himself to the beach. He felt somewhat dazed as his head made contact with the murky sand.
Using his arms to support himself, he slowly tried to recover but his effort was in vain he felt the bright lasers from Mr. Brave's cybernetic power strike the back of his flaming torso. The cybernetic foe seemed to disregard his distance, charging forward to knock Heatblast unconscious. Fortunately for Heatblast, his foe's movements were a little predictable, allowing him to dodge with a blast of fire shielding him. Unfortunately, Mr. Brave was quick and durable enough to pierce through the fire in a matter of seconds. The distraction of the fire should grant Heatblast enough time to gain a bit of distance.
Heatblast turned himself over as Mr. Brave dashed forward like a bullet. Heatblast took a deep breath and held both his arms towards the ground, creating a shield of fire. This shield provided him with a degree of cloaking, so he was not a sitting duck inside the flaming ball of fire he had created. As he predicted, Mr. Brave entered the shield and waved his hand through it in an attempt to spot Heatblast. Mr. Brave grumbled in anger as he lost his target.
"Where are you, kid?!" Mr. Brave's voice shouted creepily as the robotic filter to his voice glitched slightly the longer the fire was near him. Heatblast stood behind his cybernetic foe and gently put his arms together, creating a fireball larger than usual, about the size of his head. Unlike his standard fireballs, this one was intended to act as a bomb, not a large or deadly one, just a simple bomb to throw back Mr. Brave. "Over here, dude!" Heatblast said as Mr. Brave noticed the fireball racing towards him, his cybernetic red skin protected him from physical burns, but it still stung.
"Ow..." Mr. Brave spouted out as he bent to his knees. His jetpack, forged inside of him, was also low on fuel. Vilgax wasn't going to be happy about this. Heatblast successfully caused most of his weapons inside of his arsenal to overheat. He only had physical combat to rely on, but that wasn't going to be too useful if Heatblast still had more power over him.
"Sorry about this, but you attacked me first!" Heatblast called out as he gave a single punch to the facial area of Mr. Brave. The punch resulted in a couple of red sparks popping out and a bit of the red visor that covered his face cracking a little. He felt his legs stutter and lost his balance as he sank to the ground. He was officially defeated, but Heatblast's gut told him there was something else he needed to worry about.
"Why do you look like one of those drones, though?" Heatblast thought as he stepped a little closer, his eyes picked up even on the similar wires that hung over Mr. Brave. Heatblast noticed they matched the previous drones almost identically.
"I think I might call All Might to take you in." Heatblast quietly spoke as he heard the three iconic chimes signaling that it was time to stop the use of his quirk. He sighed, knowing it was inevitable. Izuku reached into his pocket and began dialing All Might's number. He had All Might's number in case something happened to him or the omnitrix, of course. However, he never used it since he was always training and studying different heroes and quirks.
"Oh, man. I kind of wish you were already recharged." Izuku rubbed the back of his head, remembering that there was a chance for Mr. Brave to regain his strength. But Izuku couldn't leave him there, he needed All Might now.
"All Might? I could use some help." Izuku stated while he rubbed the back of his head again.
"What be the matter, Young Midoryia?" All Might questioned with his iconic triumph and held the phone a bit closer to his face while having a pen in his hand, he rapidly clicked it while talking to Izuku.
"I... I was attacked by a villain! He looks so much like those drones!" Izuku called out.
"He does? This sounds serious, especially when those drones are still a mystery." That was way too true for both of them.
"I need you here now! My omnitrix is recharging and he could be waking up any moment! He's like a cyborg!" Izuku urgently called out as he paused to catch his breath. He was not prepared for another battle.
"I'll be there in a moment, Young Midoryia!" All Might answered the swoosh of quickly getting out of a chair and a pen falling to the table were the only sounds that Izuku heard as All Might stood over the chair and immediately began to shift into his muscular buff form.
All Might arrived. Within one blink, All Might appeared amidst the sight.
"I am here! Where's this cyborg you were talking about, Young Midoriya?" All Might inquired.
Izuku pointed towards the unconscious body of the robotic alien infected Mr. Brave. He was even scarier up close; it was virtually a horror scene just staring at him. Izuku was silently praying that there was some way the cybernetic influence could be away. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it will be disappearing anytime soon. Especially since the omnitrix was still in the red recharging mode.
"What on earth...!" All Might exclaimed as he laid eyes upon the prone form of the pro hero, Mr. Brave, now grotesquely merged with the alien cybernetic entity. He was left momentarily stunned, taking in the surreal and nightmarish sight of the once fearless hero now reduced to a haunting mixture of flesh and machine. All Might's face betrayed a mixture of shock and disgust as he muttered "I've seen my fair share of strange and dangerous threats, but this... This is a whole new level of horror. What in the world has happened to Mr. Brave?"
"I wish I knew, All Might. He suddenly attacked me." Izuku stared up at All Might and asked, "What should we do with him? How could we help?"
All Might thought for a moment, trying to come up with a solution. He knew that taking Mr. Brave to a regular hospital was out of the question. A normal doctor couldn't handle a situation like this. Then an idea sprung into his mind.
"There's only one place we can take him," All Might said, his voice filled with determination. "We have to take him to the Hospital."
"They should be able to provide the necessary help for Mr. Brave. Some of the doctors there should have experience with individuals with cybernetics It's our best chance to address this tragic situation." All Might answered.
"Alright, I'll meet you there," Izuku stated as he watched All Might fly off into the skies to get help for Mr. Brave.
Meanwhile, Hospital
"How's the arm feeling today?"
"Better, but you know it's not fully healed," Kaminari said with a scoff as he stared at his cast.
"Oh, honey! I'm so sorry this happened to you!" Kaminari's mother cooed as she had a small bit of tears in her eyes. That was probably the fourth time Kaminari's mother commented the phrase. She felt so endlessly bad.
"You took quite a fumble. You are feeling alright, son?" Kaminari nodded with a nod.
"I'm fine! My arm is the only thing that's injured." Kaminari added.
"Two days of having this cast. Cool." Kaminari added a bit of sarcasm to the last part of his statement. He stared at the doctor as he noticed the doctor had a clipboard. Watching the clock impatiently. By today he spent a max of two days already in the hospital and all he could think about was getting out, he felt way better than the previous two days. He was counting down the time until it was time to leave and hoped something would happen.
"Gosh, it hurts me to see Kaminari like this." Izuku brooded silently. "He's such a good friend; he doesn't deserve this." Kaminari's appreciation for Izuku was evident. Their recent friendship had blossomed like a flower in the sunlight. A pleasant surprise unraveled as the door creaked open, unveiling a doctor and a boy beside him. Kaminari's eyes widened, instantly recognizing the boy, and a genuine smile spread across his face. Izuku returned the smile and waved as he got closer, Kaminiari's mother had a smile on her face as well.
"This is Izuku. He is the boy who saved me from that villain attack, Mom!" Kaminiari's mother was surprised to hear that, but she was at least happy to see her son being happy. The door swiftly shut as she noticed the boys started talking.
Kaminari lost track of time while engaging in an enjoyable conversation with Midoryia about various topics, including quirks, life, interests, and more. However, their discussion came to a halt when they heard a knock on the door. It opened to reveal another doctor, who wore circular glasses and a blue shirt beneath his white coat. He also had an orthopedist next to him who checked on Kaminari before.
"Hello, I'm glad to see you all smiling." The man said.
Mrs. Kaminari turned to the doctor and asked, "Is my son free to go, Doctor?"
Kaminari's eyes widened, eagerly waiting for the answer. He silently hoped that the doctor would give him the green light to leave the hospital bed. Today was the day he had longed for, when he could finally experience the fresh air and freedom outside. He was tired of being cooped up in the hospital, and he couldn't wait to break free from the white walls. After a final moment of anticipation, the doctor finally spoke, a smile on his face.
"Yes, Kaminari is free to go."
As he heard those words, Kaminari's face lit up with joy and relief. He couldn't contain his excitement and let out a cheer, much to the amusement of his mother and the doctor. The thought of leaving the hospital and regaining his freedom was finally becoming a reality. With the doctor's permission, Kaminari was now able to start his journey back to his normal life. Kaminari's mother helped him the best she possibly could, from gathering his supplies to helping him get out of bed since he had a cast around his arm. Izuku walked beside Kaminari and continued to chat a little with him as they walked through the hall. It was around 5 pm as well, but Kaminari was just happy to get out of there. Izuku however had a little bit more to do.
Unknown Location
The void was a mixture of orange, yellow and a fuzzy atmosphere. Mr. Brave did not know where he possibly was, if he had to guess it was a dream. Unfittingly, this wasn't a dream. It was very real as Mr. Brave's expression turned into pure horror as Vilgax's form appeared with anger and his eyes were glowing brighter than the sun for a minute. Vilgax grumbled as he towered over Mr. Brave.
"Miserable, human. You've FAILED ME!" Vilgax's voice busted through the head of Mr. Brave while still having the last reminds of his strength within his head. "Huh? I'm sorry!" Mr. Brave pleaded as Vilgax's form grew angrier.
"Sorry will not save your pathetic life." Vilgax had a trigger next to his hand. Mr. Brave did not know what it did, but it gave him intense anxiety as Vilgax's finger hovering over it. Mr. Brave blinked as Vilgax slowly moved his sharp finger over to the top of the red button.
"W-what's that thing going to do?!" Mr. Brave questioned as he started to gasp in fear and his eyes were intensely glued to the device in Vilgax's grip. He was about to press it but uttered a question. "Do you have any last words, human?" Vilgax's voice echoed as Mr. Brave had tears forming down his face, shortly starting to stream down his face.
"Please... Don't do this to me!" Mr. Brave uttered before watching Vilgax slowly with satisfaction pressing the red button, Mr. Brave instantly sank and sadly accepted his fate for whatever was about to happen. It clearly wouldn't be good. Vilgax took so much satisfaction that was virtually one of the best feelings he felt in a while, while the button was pressed, he noticed Mr. Brave getting sleepy, he was drifting in the vastness of the void without moving a single muscle.
The previous hero was gone, it was tragic that he was not able to even see or breathe anymore. Vilgax stayed true to his word.
Author's Note
This episode was heavily influenced by the Alliance episode of Ben 10's original series with the possessed character and a little more.
Next will be a big change in the story. I always headcanon that the hospitals were way more advanced than they are in our world in MHA. And this chapter makes the second kill which will be followed up next chapter with a bit of a big change overall.
Originally, I was going to use Death Arms instead of Mr. Brave, but since Brave was bit of a newer background hero, I chose him.
Apologies if the hospital scene wasn't fully accurate, it was my very second attempt.
Stay tuned and don't be afraid to leave a review or criticisms. Also, updates will be a bit slow.
