Over at Royal Woods Middle School, the gang all got together in the gymnasium.
By this time, they were exhausted well beyond reason.
"Well that tears it," Lola groaned. "We've searched every inch of this school and what have we found? Nothing! We'll never find Meli or Darcy! Let's just quit while we're ahead."
Lincoln was flabbergasted. "Quit?! Lola, two innocent kids are lost out there, all alone and possibly scared, and you're saying we should just give up?! What kind of attitude is that?!"
"Lincoln?"
The Loud brother turned and noticed his classmates Stella Zhau, Rusty Spokes, Zach Gurdle and Liam Hunnicut were in the gym as well.
"What are you doing here with your sisters and friends?" Asked Stella.
"We're looking for two of my sisters' friends," Lincoln answered. "They went missing and we thought they'd be here."
"Wait, why are you guys here?" Clyde wondered. "School's been out for at least an hour."
"Coach Keck ordered us to set up for a last minute event in the gymnasium," Zach answered. "Though not exactly by choice."
"Yeah, she didn't give any specifics," said Liam. "Just looked at us randomly and called it urgent."
"Guess the plot called for it," Clyde whispered to his best friend.
Just then, 6 figures of light entered the gymnasium right before the kids. Once the light dissipated, the figures were revealed to be SpongeBob SquarePants, Timmy Turner, Danny Phantom, Jimmy Neutron, Rudy Tabootie and Snap.
Needless to say, the latter group wasn't all too pleased upon arriving.
"Oh, hey guys," Lincoln greeted nervously. "What's happening?"
"Cut the small talk, Loud," Jimmy told him. "You know why we're here."
"What do you mean?" Clyde asked, trying to cover up the whole thing. "We don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh really? Perhaps this'll ring a bell." Jimmy took out a tablet which showed a video recording of both Meli and Darcy exploring ChalkZone.
By that point, the Louds and company knew they were screwed.
"We're busted, aren't we?" Sid questioned.
"Yep," Ronnie Anne confirmed. "Big time."
"Care to explain what two innocent kids are doing in ChalkZone?" Asked Snap.
"Well, uh—!"
"I thought we made it clear not to let any of our power items get into the wrong hands!" Jimmy scolded.
"Come on, Jimmy. Don't be too hard on Lincoln and the others," Stella proclaimed. "It must've been an accident."
"Yeah, it was!" Lana shouted. "We swear! We didn't mean for—!"
But the conversation was interrupted by someone opening the gym doors and stepping inside.
It was Coach Keck. "Well, look who's here. Lynn and Lincoln Loud along with their family and friends. Look, I'm not paying you kids to just loiter around. Actually I'm not paying you at all. So I suggest you all go assist Hans with the equipment."
She pointed to her masseuse, 'Hans', who was carrying heavy loads of weights and exercise equipment.
"You do know his name is Dennis, right?" Lynn said, raising her brow.
But Coach walked off without batting an eye.
Ronnie Anne rolled her eyes. "And………she doesn't care."
Just then, a strange sound caught Danny's attention. "Wait! Do you guys hear that?"
"Hear what?" Asked Lana.
It was the distant sound of a jet engine whirring outside.
This got the heroes worried.
"Oh no!"
Danny flew up to the school roof and phased through the ceiling. Upon doing so, he saw a giant villainous aircraft coming right towards the school.
Danny then came back down, startling everyone. "They're coming!"
"Who's coming?" Asked coach keck.
"The syndicate!" Jimmy announced.
"Who's this syn—?"
CRASH!!!!!
That question was immediately interrupted by a huge crash through the roof.
Upon impact, many large pieces of rubble came falling down to the ground. Everyone ran to avoid being hit.
"Take cover!" Lincoln shouted.
The heroes ducked underneath the bleachers.
When the ship stopped, two loudspeakers came out of it. "Oh heroes! Where are you?"
Everyone in the gym was scared.
"They're here! Looking for us!" Lola panicked. "What do we do? What do we do!?"
Lana slapped her in the face. "Pull yourself together, Lols! They're gonna hear us!"
"We gotta get out of here before they see us," Rudy whispered.
Lincoln spotted a slightly open back door in the gym that led to the hallway. "This way! Follow me!"
He and the others crawled towards and out the door, carefully hiding behind rubble to avoid detection.
Meanwhile, the villains were still searching. "Come out, come out, wherever you are!"
"Well today just got crazier," said Zach.
"Try to keep it down, Zach," said Stella. "We can't let them know we're here."
Suddenly……
BOOM!!!
All the villains emerged from the ship and ambushed their way into the gym.
All the kids ran around screaming and panicking.
As much as they tried to escape, the villains blocked all the entrances one by one.
Finally, the room fell into silence as the final figure stepped in: Mistress.
She stepped up towards the crowd, and approached them slowly and menacingly.
"So where are they?" She asked. "Where's those HEROES!?!?!"
Everyone stood silent at that outburst. None of them said a word.
Until Stella spoke up. "What heroes?"
"What?" The Mistress walked up to her slowly and threateningly.
"You must have the wrong address or something. We haven't heard anything about—."
"Excuse me?!"
"Are you sure you don't have the wrong address?"
"Are you saying I'm stupid?"
"No?"
"Do I look stupid to you? Let's just think about the logic for a second, missy. Shall we? Let's just think about it for a second. If the computer tracked them somewhere else, would I still be coming here to this location looking for them?!"
Stella began sweating nervously.
"I know you're hiding something. I'll bet you're in cahoots with these nuisances! You know them, don't you?"
Then Liam stepped in. "You must be nuttier than a coconut if you think we're in cahoots with any heroes at all."
"Oh I am, am I? You think I'm crazy? Well I am! Crazy with a loss of patience! Now I suggest you cooperate with the syndicate and just fess up. So, tell me: where are the heroes?"
"Uhhhh……." Liam pushed Zach in front of him.
Mistress folded her arms. "Start talking!"
Zach tried to come up with a lie. "Well……. I don't know where they're not."
"You're telling me you don't know where these heroes are?"
"It wouldn't be inaccurate to assume that I couldn't exactly not say that it is or isn't almost partially incorrect."
"So you do know?"
"On the contrary, I'm possibly more or less not rejecting the idea that in no way with any amount of uncertainty that I undeniably do or do not know….."
"Stop it!"
"…….where these supposed heroes may possibly be, if that indeed isn't where they are not. Even if they weren't where I know they are, I—."
By this point, the villains were all confused and bored and Mistress was losing her patience. "AAAAARRRRGH! Where am I? In CLOUD CUCKOOLAND?!?! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THESE CHILDISH GAMES!!!!"
"Aw, it doesn't matter anyway," boasted Rusty. "You won't find our friends!"
"RUSTY!!!!"
The others stared at him condescendingly.
Mistress began to chuckle. "Friends? So you do know these twerps. Well if you're not going to produce them, then I guess we'll have to hold you all captive. TAKE THEM AWAY!!!!"
Just then, a bunch of robotic drones flew out of the ship and each began snatching the kids one by one with their claws.
Inside the ship, Darcy, Meli, Carl and Adelaide were all looking on the monitor, watching the whole event unfold.
Adelaide felt the most guilty. "Oh, this is all my fault. If I kept that muffin away from them, none of this would be happening. We gotta get out of here!"
She inched forward towards the computer, trying to find some sort of escape weapon.
Unfortunately, she bumped into someone who watched her trying to leave: Denzel Crocker!
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked sinisterly.
"I was just……uhhh……."
"Come here!" Crocker picked her up and carried her to the front cockpit.
In there, Mistress was making her way back into the ship.
"Excuse me, Mistress. But this little girl won't stay put."
"Well get rid of the little prisoners already!" She demanded. "They're useless to us now."
"Yes, Ma'am!"
"And keep an eye out on those no good heroes! I have something special in mind for them!"
"You mean…..?"
"Yes. Now go!"
Crocker carried Adelaide back into the cargo hold. He then took Carl, Meli and Darcy and dragged them away too. They tried to wiggle their way out, but he held them too tight.
He then placed them into what appeared as a garbage chute. He shut the hatch and pulled the lever next to it.
Outside the ship, the toddlers flew straight out the top and high into the sky.
Luckily, the heroes were able to escape through the hallways and hide behind the school.
"Phew! That was close!" Sighed Leni.
"Too close," Luan added. "We almost lost more than a couple of kids."
"Jokes aside, Luan," Ronnie Anne interrupted. "We're in real trouble here."
"You're telling me," said Clyde. "I thought we'd be goners. And we still might be if someone doesn't do something!"
"Hold up, everyone," Danny halted. "This is no time to be hysterical."
"It's the perfect time to be hysterical!" Argued Snap.
"Should we be hysterical?!" Leni screamed.
"No!" Lori shouted.
"Yes!" Lola said.
Jimmy broke up the fight. "Maybe! But not right now!"
Then there was a faint sound in the distance.
"Hey, what's that?"
SpongeBob pointed toward the sky and all the others looked up as well. What they saw were four toddlers screaming and falling straight down out of the sky and into an open trash can.
"Well that's unexpected," said Timmy.
"Let us out! Let us out!"
Something about those voices sounded familiar to sid. "Wait! I know those voices."
So did Ronnie Anne. "Yeah, they kinda sound like……"
Both girls reached into the trash bin and pulled out…..
"Carl?"
"Adelaide?"
Adelaide chuckled with nervousness. "Hey big sis."
Sid was less than amused. "You've got a lot of explaining to do. What are you doing here?"
Just then, the garbage can tipped over revealing two other girls falling out.
Lola was shocked. "Meli?!"
As was Lisa. "Darcy?!"
"Hi bestie!" Darcy waved to Lisa.
"Hey! What are Darcy and Meli doing here with you?" Lana asked.
"That's what I'd like to know," Lisa added.
"Oh Lisa! You wouldn't believe it!" Darcy exclaimed excitedly. "After you left, I found this magic piece of chalk! I was drawing on the blackboard and all of a sudden I found this whole world inside it made of chalk! It was amazing! Until the spaceship came and sucked us into it. But besides that……"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold it," Rudy interrupted. "You kids went into ChalkZone by yourselves?"
"Yeah," she explained. "It was because of the chalk that fell out of Lisa's backpack."
"I found one rolling on the blacktop," confirmed Meli.
"Well that explains how the syndicate found them," Lincoln said, putting two and two together.
"But what did they want with the kids?" Ronnie Anne wondered. "Something tells me the magic chalk wasn't the only thing they were after."
"Ronnie Anne may be right," Jimmy pointed out. "Knowing them, the syndicate may be up to something more sinister."
"Looks like you're right, (as usual)." Timmy pointed to the sky as a huge dark shadow loomed over them.
The others saw that the ship was moving out of the school and rising into the air.
In the cockpit, Mistress looked down at the ground. When she looked behind the school, she saw, not just the Louds, their friends and the heroes, but also the four toddlers they held captive.
"WHAT?!?" Needless to say, she was not pleased at all by this. "Crocker!"
Crocker came into the cockpit. "Yes ma'am?"
"I thought I told you to get rid of those twerps!"
Crocker looked down and saw the same four toddlers along with their friends. "I-I did."
"I meant for good, you dingbat! Must I do everything myself?! No matter, they and their posse will be the first test subjects for the invention."
The Mistress began activating a giant laser on the front of the ship and pointed towards the heroes.
"Welcome to a new world, test monkeys!"
The group down on the ground looked shocked and barely moved a muscle.
"LOOK OUT!!!!"
As the laser was preparing to fire, Lincoln immediately pushed the others out of the way, causing him to be zapped and then pass out.
The others (especially his sisters) were shocked.
"LINCOLN!!!!"
Lynn immediately grabbed Lincoln's body and dragged it away towards a hiding spot underneath one of the broken pieces of the wall.
So Mistress was unable to see them. "What's this!? Where'd they go?! Oh well, nevermind. Soon they'll all fall victim to us!"
She then announced into the loud speaker.
"You can't escape our power, twerps! Mark my words, we will find you!"
The ship flew off.
The heroes sighed in relief and stepped out into the sunlight.
"Phew! That was close!" Said Lana.
"Too close," Ronnie Anne added. "Again."
"What are we going to do about Lincoln?" Asked Sid. "I hope that ray or whatever it is didn't kill him."
Lucy put her ear to Lincoln's chest and heard both his heart beating and lungs breathing. "Sigh, he's not dead. He's just unconscious."
"Luce, now is not the time to be morbid," Lynn criticized.
"Sorry, force of habit."
"Well, at least he's okay," said Luna. "Come on, baby bro. Wake up."
Luna shook him and Lincoln got up, but something about him was a little off. "Hello everyone. I am awake and healthy." Right as Lincoln said that, his voice sounded more monotonous.
The girls were shocked.
"Uh, Lincoln? What happened to your ecstatic personality?" Lana asked.
"I do not know what you are talking about," he responded. "I am perfectly ecstatic."
"No, that's not it, little bro," said Lynn. "Say something interesting."
"Lynn, I cannot say something interesting, as I do not see anything interesting happening here that I can describe for you."
"Okay," Ronnie Anne declared. "Clearly something's wrong with Lincoln. What do you think that ray was, Jimmy?"
"I'm not sure," Jimmy replied. "We better get him to my lab."
"And we better do it fast!" Said Rudy. "Whatever they did to Lincoln, they might plan to do to us, next!"
"Okay! Everyone, follow me!"
Jimmy activated a portal and everyone followed him into it.
