Donna had a daughter a few years after Darvey went to Pearson Hardman, Olivia. Harvey is not the father, but he is extremely attached to the child and would do anything for her (and her mother). Donna wanted a baby, Harvey simply wanted to help her. She hesitated, and he left her the choice. She wanted to dedicate herself to it, and he didn't want to be involved. She wanted to be a mother, and he didn't want to be a father. But while everything was clear from the beginning, over time, they both realized that this secret was becoming harder and harder to bear.

Harvey and Donna spend Christmas in Seattle with Mike and Rachel. A little holiday magic and the change of scenery is just the push they need to finally act on their feelings.
