Shizuru's POV
.
"Yo Shizuru, everything is settled. Perhaps, we should go to the gymnasium. Alyssa and the others are waiting for us right now." I heard Natsu the moment he opened up the room.
Iwas having a meeting here in the Student Council room when my head started spinning, so I decided to end the meeting earlier than expected to rest for a bit before going to the concert. I guess that I worked too much.
I immediately stood up, and together with Natsu, we headed straight to the concert. He had already found our reserved seat earlier, so finding it may not be that hard.
"I heard from Yuiichi that the girls made the other students help to make this event more grand," Natsu commented as he assisted me to my seat.
"Yeah, I also heard that. Now I am looking forward to the concert." I replied.
We can hear that the crowd is excited as the introductory song plays. Everyone waved the colorful lightstick they held. Seeing the decorations on stage and everywhere, I can tell them that they put too much effort into making this event more successful.
"I can't wait to see them perform." Reito suddenly pops up and then sits beside me. I smiled at him to acknowledge his presence before I checked the area.
"WELCOME EVERYONE TO THE FIRST-EVER GRAND CONCERT IN FUUKA ACADEMY!" By hearing this voice, I can tell that Chie and Aoi will be the emcee for tonight.
"Wooaaah seeing them I can tell that this will become a hit," Reito commented before joining the students' cheering.
"DOES EVERYONE DOING FINE AFTER WANDERING FROM BOOTH TO BOOTH EARLIER?"
"YEAAAAAHHHHHH!" Everyone answered in unison.
Because of the crowd, I cannot hear the rest of their words. Everything went smoothly, and each student individually showcased their respective talents when the crowd suddenly hyped up when Alyssa appeared on stage.
Who are those little girls in pain

"Thank you." Alyssa bowed before leaving the stage smiling.
After a few moments, Mikoto and Yukino suddenly appeared, more like Mikoto dragging Yukino excitedly on stage.
"I didn't know Yukino was also part of these," Reito commented.
"You can do it Yukino! I'm here to support you!" Haruka shouted.
"Chie! Aoi! It's our turn to sing now!" Mikoto exclaimed, while still holding Yukino's hands.
"Mikoto! You should've waited for us to call you!" Chie scolded the young girl, but proceeded to the walk-off stage.
I enjoyed the concert when everything suddenly became blurry and all of my attention was focused on a certain raven-haired that was walking on stage with a violin in her hand. Along with her are Alyssa and Miyu, who are assisting Alyssa in preparing the piano that she will be using.
"Don't tell me she's going to perform using the violin in her hands?" Natsu and Reito asked in unison, as I felt their stare towards me, how would I know? Even if I was surprised as they were? I just smiled to conceal my surprise.
"N-Natsuki sure is an interesting woman right?" I said.
"Uhm, this wasn't part of the event but due to uncontrollable circumstances, I was forced to go out here, along with my lovely sister, Alyssa to entertain you while the woman who is supposed to perform right now is facing a wardrobe malfunction. " Natsuki calmly explained to the crowd.
"Damn you Natsuki!" I heard Mai shout from backstage, obviously struggling with something.
"You should've watched your calories, woman." Natsuki jest.
"Did you just call me fat?!" The crowd laughed at their banter, but eventually a soft piano key coming from Alyssa and a background song started playing in the background, causing Natsuki to focus.
"Oya? I think I heard it somewhere, but I cannot seem to recall where and when. You know Shizuru?" Reito asked me if I knew about the song.
"This is one of her favorite OSTs from the game that she's been playing lately. It's called Myriads of Lights but they are playing the Lantern Rite theme." I confidently said.
I remember when Natsuki begged me to do her house chores to do the full event in one sitting. Every time she is doing the event, she will blast the volume to feel the cutscenes before playing the mini-game. After she has done it, she will re-watch the cutscene and then play the OST all day.
I stared at Natsuki the whole time, the way her body moved along with notes that her violin produced was mesmerizing and I felt hypnotized, and I did not know this particular side of Natsuki. I get an insane amount of nostalgia when hearing this, I think of her smiling and it makes me smile, too. This song is like magic, and I get goosebumps, even though I do not play the game. It's like I am in the actual game, experiencing the festival itself, seeing the lantern everywhere, laughter coming from the children playing, and the sound of the fireworks, and I find it calming.
I was so focused on her that I did not realize that their performance was over. The crowd clapped and cheered for them while Alyssa was making her exit.
"So my kind sister can't accompany me any further as she has to prepare for her part later on and the Princess sure is taking her time so I will be playing one last song before she does her job- Awwww!." Natsuki joked around only to receive a pinch on her side from Alyssa, who managed to return as soon as she jest.
"Natsuki has a different light tonight huh." Natsu muttered, but I ignored it as I was once again focused on Natsuki, as she felt the background music for the next song, waiting for the queue to start playing her violin.
This time, I cannot recall which OST it is, but this is awfully familiar. I know deep inside that I heard this song from Natsuki's playlist, but I cannot pinpoint which one.
"This is nice, it's like I'm watching an orchestra instead," Reito commented. Orchestra.
I took out my phone, opened a music app, and immediately looked for the playlist that Natsuki and I shared.
"Shizuru?" It was Reito.
"You should listen to this beautiful song. It's not every day that you hear this coming from Natsuki itself." He said smiling.
That's it.
"Indeed, it's 'A beautiful Song' coming from the game Nier: Automata." I simply said, and listened to the rest of the song. It is funny because I never held a game console unless Natsuki forced me to do so, but knowing the songs and where they come from by just hearing them is a whole new level.
After performing 'A Beautiful Song,' Mai sang. The program returned to normal as originally planned, and I admit that Haruka was right in her judgment to entrust the planning of this event to them.
"Shizuru? Are you enjoying the show?" Reito asked, as we heard, Chie and Aoi as emcees.
"Enjoying" is a kinda understatement, Reito. I'm loving the show." I replied.
Why would not I like the concert if I saw them, especially Nao and Natsuki, breaking their character to deliver a wonderful performance? This event marked Fuuka Academy's history.
The performances of the students went smoothly, they really targeted to showcase the performer's raw talent as well as to uncover their hidden talents after I see them take turns performing live on stage; I was taken back as soon as I saw Natsuki once again walking in the stage, but this time she was not holding the violin earlier.

Wow, her voice is wonderful and she's so beautiful even in her casual outfit.
My heart is acting strange. Sobs. huh?
"Why are you crying Natsu?" I asked when I noticed him crying after the song.
"I am being completely honest when I say I am so proud of her and I can tell that she really worked hard on this one. She did a good job." he explained in tears.
I wanted to talk to Natsuki before going back to my dorm.
I looked for her, and there she was standing near the Sakura tree in the garden where we first interacted, where everything started.
"Hi there." I calmly greeted her.
She looked at me smiling. Natsu is right when he says Natsuki is in a different light today. Did something happen to her?
"Yo! I was reminiscing about the day I saw you crying here." She said in a husky voice. I smiled.
"I was surprised to see the famous and elegant Kaichou cry like a baby that day."
"That was only one time, so you should treasure that image of me." I joked.
"I already did. Even your annoyed expression hahahaha." I caressed her chubby cheek. She's so cute.
"Thank you for organizing the best concert, Natsuki. You have an amazing voice." I sincerely said to her while staring at her beautiful emerald eyes.
"Oh, before I forgot, here, you can keep this." She said, she handed me a polished emerald star-shaped gem.
"It's cute, I'm gonna make this my lucky charm from now on."
"Shizuru, before I go home, can you say IKEZU in your most Kyoto-ben as a gift?" She requested, her voice trembled as she maintained her smile, but I still gave her my iconic IKEZU, and this time she did not blush. It's strange because my iconic IKEZU never fails to make her blush not even once.
I'm nervous about how she has been acting strange lately. The way she looked away and I feel like she has something on her mind she wants to achieve or something. I don't know.
"Natsuki? Is there something you want to say? Or something that's bothering you or perhaps you wanted to do but you feel like we're holding you back?" I asked but she just shrugged and laughed.
"Nothing. I'm pretty sure nothing is bothering with me right now and if I ever have I'll make sure to pass it on to you. Surely you won't mind having more problems right?"
"No thanks, I'm good." I responded.
"Ne Shizuru it's getting late."
"I should go home and rest then." In the end, you still choose to hide behind your walls, Natsuki.
I was about to leave when I felt her grabbing me so I looked at her confused.
"You're not going alone. I'll walk you home." she offered which I gladly accepted.
In the middle of the night, two high school students walked hand-in-hand on the way to the school dorm. Natsuki today is strangely distant: she may be holding my hands right now, but her thoughts are somewhere else. By the time we arrived at my room, she just headed straight to the bathroom, probably to wash up; it's her habit. I'll just wait for her to finish taking a bath so I grabbed my books to read while waiting for her.
"What took her too long to take a bath?" I muttered. I don't have any appointments for tomorrow so it's fine if I stayed up late but if she stayed inside butt naked I'm afraid she would catch a cold. It would be a pain in my ass if she caught a cold at this time of the year.
"Natsuki?" I called but gave no response, so I proceeded to open the bathroom to check on her and there she was sleeping.
"For someone who protects herself by building a wall, you sure love to let your guard down at times like this." I drained the bath water and wiped her dry before putting on her favorite tomato onesie that she really liked but stopped when I noticed something on her left lower back. It's like a birthmark. This was not the first time I saw her butt naked but this is definitely the first time I saw her birthmark.
The next morning, I woke up with no one beside me. She must've left early.
"Natsuki." I whispered to the air.

A/N: I've been struggling mentally and emotionally for the past 5 months, I lost my motivation to everything, I lost someone I looked up for a long time and to be honest, I already finished the remaining chapters including the epilogue and then all of a sudden my laptop broke and when I tried accessing the files to my pc I realized that I am using 2 different accounts on both without any back ups. There's no freaking way that I'll remember the password when I only have 1 brain cell. The best option I have is to write again, hoping my remaining brain cell will remember the one I wrote previously. Life really hates me to the core but still I gathered the courage to start again. Thank you!
