I thought up this idea for a fanfic and hope you like it. Some backstories for characters are different.

Royal Rumble 2025

Backstage as the Men's Rumble got closer to the end, Jon Good, currently wrestling under Jon Moxley, sat beside his mentor Triple H. They watched as CM Punk just eliminated both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins while the two former Shield brothers been focused on each other. Jon sighed on Rollins attacking the Tribal Chief with two Curb Stomps and flipped off Paul Heyman.

"Would you mind making sure we got no coming bloodshed?" Hunter requested from the AEW World Heavyweight Champion.

"Sure, will do, H." Jon agreed.

The moment Rollins got backstage; he got pulled on the arm for deeper backstage by his former teammate. Both of them headed in the direction of Colby Lopez's locker room. It seemed he was more annoyed on having been eliminated by CM Punk than what went on between him and Reigns.

"Why couldn't you have come out as entry number 24 instead of him." Colby sighed.

"I'm happy just being a spectator. AEW World Heavyweight Champion can't be in a competitor's pay-per-view."

"You just don't want to play peacekeeper between me and Joe." Colby fake pouted before they broke out laughing.

"Colby!" Joe's yell got heard by them.

"He sounds pissed." Jon laughed.

Colby just pulled on the other's arm for them to start running for his locker room. As Colby opened the door some type of dust hit both him and Jon. It caused them to tumble into each other and trip to the floor of the locker room. Both former Shield brothers laid on the floor out cold tangled together.

"Jon, let me just kick Cob's ass." Joe pushed open the locker room's door. "Then we can go hang-"

When he saw the two of them lying tangled on the floor, Joe stopped what was going to say. He moved about to kick the two younger wrestlers awake but paused on looking closer at them. Both Colby and Jon looked much younger and smaller than when he last saw them. Quickly, Joe ran to get Hunter with knowing something wasn't right.

"Something happened." Joe only needed to say for the Game to follow.

They got back to the locker room, closing the door for no one else to see. Hunter and Joe took in how both former Shield members now looked as if in their mid-teens. It was a minute later that Colby and Jon started to wake up.

"What the hell?" both of them groaned as sat up.

Shock snapped onto both of their now young faces on seeing each other as a teenager. They turned to where Joe and Hunter stood by a mirror to spot own reflections.

"Why am I sixteen?" Colby questioned with panic in his voice.

"How did this happen?" Jon demanded.

"I found you two like this." Joe informed.

"What's the last thing you both remember?" Hunter asked.

"A dust maybe hitting us when I opened the door." Colby provided.

"This can't be happening." Jon said on him now sixteen again. "Must be a dream."

"Don't worry. We'll sort this out." Hunter tried to keep things calm.

"Sort this out? We're freaking baby faced teenagers, H." Colby declared.

"Cobs, you and Jon freaking your shit out won't help." Joe told him.

Both Jon and Colby grew more distressed on remembering something. They were supposed to video chat with their wives once the Rumble came to a close. No way could they easily explain being teenagers to Becky and Renee.

"I'm a husband and dad while now a virgin." Colby complained to receive a kick to shin from Jon. "Don't kick me!"

"We can't be around our families without making people want to arrest Renee and Becky." Jon explained what the real issue happens to be.

"Joe will text them, giving some simple story. We need to deal with what can right now." Hunter ordered.

"Like clothes that actually fit." Joe suggested.

Still sitting on the floor, the now teen boys hadn't realized how big their clothes now were. Colby got to his feet while holding his tights up. On the floor, Jon laid back with hands over his face. He been almost all bone when younger and his current clothes basically he was swimming in. A look at his hand had him seeing gone was the tattoo on finger in spot for his wedding ring. Down had already slipped the silver ring, too big on his finger. When he looked to Colby, gone was the man's spine tattoo.

"Our bodies are back to clean canvases." Jon declared, which brought a curse out of the other boy.

Neither boy had any facial hair and different hairstyles from when men in their thirties. Long enough to cover his ears was Jon's hair while Colby's own was only a little bit shorter. With annoyance, Jon put his belt all the way to last notch for it to still not be tight enough to keep his jeans up. Even his leather jacket was too big on Jon and Colby's own t-shirt and sweatpants were the same.

"Let me call Steph. She's the smartest out of all of us." Hunter claimed.

It only took a few minutes for Stephanie to get there. She looked taken back on Jon and Colby being teenagers.

"We got no clue on the how." Joe stated.

"Do we know their ages at least?" Stephanie asked.

"Either fifteen or sixteen." Jon gave for himself.

"Same." Colby added.

"First, we should get clothes for them that fit. You two will remain under Hunter and mine's guardianship until back to your actual ages."

"I can care to myself even when a teen." Colby claimed.

Aware Hunter, Stephanie, and Joe were to the similar past of Colby and Jon. They were at these ages, out on the streets and trying to survive by wrestling in independent circuit. Kicked out of their homes had been the boys when fifteen.

"Well, I'm not letting two underage boys be left on their own. There's an extra bed in our suite that you can use." Stephanie told them.

No other arguments came from Colby and Jon against the arrangement. They followed the adults out of the locker room and to the parking lot. Into the Levesques' rental car's backseat, they got.

"We'll take care of them." Hunter assured to Joe.

"I don't doubt that."

Once Hunter and Stephanie were in the car, the four of them headed to the hotel. From their hotel room, Jon and Colby got their things before went to the suite. Lucky they been on no one yet having seen their current situation. Immediately, Jon went into the bathroom to change for bed. He was thankful to brought pajama pants with a string so could tie tighter. When Jon exited the bathroom, he noticed Stephanie working on her laptop.

"Anything new?" Jon wondered as he sat on the second bed.

"I need to set some stuff up due to this situation. Seth Rollins will be on a last-minute leave of absence for an unknown length of time. What should be done with AEW?"

"I got to vacate the title. Not sure when will be back to normal or ever will." Jon sighed on what must do.

"Sorry, Jon. I'll email Chris with some simple explanation so he can have you put on a leave of absence."

"Thanks."

"Next, we got to come up with some type of backstory to use with others."

"Why not pretend to be your twin sons." Colby sarcastically suggested.

"That would be the easiest one. We always pretended to have kids with our characters." Hunter claimed.

"You two okay with that?" Stephanie checked.

"Whatever." Colby mumbled, lying face down on the bed.

"Got to do what we must." Jon said.

"Jonathan and Colby Levesque. Born in Davenport, Iowa on December 7, 2008."

"I'm the older twin." Colby declared and received a roll of eyes from Jon.

"In the morning, we can go buy clothes that fit for you two. Good night." Stephanie informed.

"How are you being so calm?" Colby asked to Jon.

"What is freaking out going to do? Worse we could be in this situation." Jon explained as took his contacts out. "Rather be out on the street like when really sixteen?"

"No."

"Night." Jon said as he got in the bed.

Colby knew Jon was right on them possibly being worse off in this situation. He got comfortable in the bed, drifting to sleep thinking of when had to share with Jon early in their times on the main roster.

When morning came, both Jon and Colby woke to the smell of breakfast. They saw Hunter and Stephanie sitting at the table, eating an assortment of food.

"Morning. We felt it best to let you sleep in." Hunter said.

Both boys took seats at the table to put the various foods on plates for themselves. Poured into a mug got coffee by Colby, who moaned after taking a sip. Jon stuck with orange juice for himself. He ate the scrambled eggs and sausage, not having realized how hungry actually was. After they ate breakfast, Jon and Colby showered and dressed in simple jeans and sweatshirts. Barely did their belts work in holding up the jeans.

With the rental car, they went to a store where could buy clothes that was on their way to Cleveland where Monday Night Raw was taking place. The boys look through clothing section for what were their styles. Jon picked out a few pairs of ripped faded blue jeans along with grey and black jeans. Next to him, Colby also got some black and grey jeans for himself. T-shirts got looked through after to find some for bands they liked. In the carts got put sweat jackets, sweatshirts, jeans, sweatpants for the boys with the t-shirts and jeans. A blush went on Colby's face when he put two packs of boxers in his cart. No care came from Jon as he threw own packs in his cart along with socks.

"You two may want to get some shoes too." Stephanie recommended.

Both of them nodded since their sneakers and boots were now a little big. Colby found a pair of sneakers and one of converse for himself. Gotten by Jon were a pair of sneakers and boots to put in his cart.

"I think that's it." Colby assumed.

"I recommend new wallets for yourselves." Hunter said.

"Why?" Jon wondered.

"You can't be carrying one with license right now."

Each boy picked out simple velcro wallets for themselves. With having gotten all would need, they headed towards the check-out. Colby and Jon got stopped from taking out wallets to pay.

"We don't expect you to buy our stuff." Jon said.

"It's not right." Colby believed.

"Your stuff will be bought using my father's card. It is the least he could do." Stephanie declared.

Separately got done their purchases to then go straight to the hotel so could check in. Out of their suitcases were taken the too big clothes for new ones to go in. Jon and Colby changed to new clothes, much more comfortable afterwards. Into the empty store bags got put their old clothes for the time.

"Put your old wallets in this bag." Hunter instructed.

Out of their wallets got taken any cast to be put in the velcro ones. It wouldn't hurt to have at least some money on them if unable to access their bank accounts. Then they dropped old wallets into the bag.

"Cell phones too."

"No." Colby shook his head.

"We can't risk you revealing what happened."

After dropped their phones in the bag, Hunter handed them ones bought as extras for the company. Jon got the dark grey phone while Colby's own was black.

"Put in only certain people's numbers. Don't put in your wives."

They put each other's new numbers in along with Joe's own, both Hunter and Stephanie including their home's one. Hunter gave them the number of the medical trainer he used for a long time in his career.

"We need to have more numbers than this." Colby said.

"These few are fine for now." Hunter assured.

Downloaded to the phones got a simple and free music app by the boys. Stephanie handed them fake ID cars with their new information. Unable would Colby and Jon be to get license, so Stephanie provided them with the number of company's car service.

"You two are being homeschooled and due to behavior issues will be traveling with us. Before ask, behavior issues are you two getting in a fight at previous school."

"Got it." the now twins nodded.

"Are there any medical problems we should know about?"

"Is it bad if can't remember?" Colby asked.

"Might be smart to let a trainer just do a quick physical examine to be sure." Hunter recommended.

Jon and Colby knew it would be smart to do that with their medical histories. Both boys followed Hunter and Stephanie back out to the car. Frowning on being close to his home and family, Jon only hoped they would be okay with him needing to stay away. Sadly, the idea of being stuck like this left him fearing not going to be with Renee or see Nora grow up. He knew Colby had to be experiencing the same fear as him with Becky and Roux. When to the arena that Raw would be held, Hunter got the boys to trainer's office. For years has he gone to the same trainer and trusted him with this secret.

"Okay, who wants to go first?"

"I'll go." Jon volunteered and sat on the examine table.

He let the trainer do the usual examinations done in a physical. A penlight got shined in his eye after he took off glasses. With everything normal, Jon then had to read off eye chart to check his sight. Luckily, since he was sixteen, his vision had not changed much. The current prescription would work fine with him for glasses and contacts.

"I want to check through past injuries."

No sign of issue was there with Jon's one elbow. The boy couldn't say the same for his shoulder. It wasn't painful to move, just may bother him like done for years before gotten cared to.

"All good. If start having former shoulder problems, we'll do former treatment."

"Okay." Jon agreed before he got off the table.

Colby got on since was his turn and like Jon, could use current glasses and contacts. He frowned on his knee going to need to be kept an eye on. The boy didn't wish to get put on crutches.

"Do you two have any questions?"

"Nope." Jon stated.

"None." Colby shook his head.

"Boys, we got some paperwork to do. What do you two want to do while we're busy?" Hunter asked them.

"Can we wrestle in the ring?" Colby hoped.

"Sure." Hunter agreed.

Him and Stephanie got set up at an announce table to do paperwork. The boys had gotten changed into sweatpants and wrestling boots brought along. After tightening knee pads and boots, Colby and Jon were set in the ring. Back and forth went the boys with their match, prating moves. No longer could they do certain moves that involved lifting depending on their opponents. Paradigm Shift was going to be one Jon couldn't always do.

"Why not your early version of Dirty Deeds." Colby suggested since that didn't require any lifting.

"Maybe. You don't have to change yours."

"Not true. I can't do a turnbuckle powerbomb."

Colby turned to be given a spear with very little power in it by Joe. The payback for Rollin's Curb Stomps having been given, Joe pulled Colby up to his feet. With his former Shield brother younger and smaller, it wouldn't be smart of Joe to not control his move and risk hurting him.

"How's it going?" Joe asked.

"Fine as can with the situation." Jon shrugged. "We're trying to figure out our moves."

"Yeah, I don't see you two having much strength with your pencil arms."

"Not all of us played football when sixteen." Colby defended.

"What did you do when were sixteen and wrestling on the independent circuit?" Joe asked them.

"Relied on our speed and knowledge of wrestling moves." Jon answered.

"Okay. What would you do against someone my size?"

"Use your size and strength against you." Colby said. "High flying moves would also provide momentum."

"No way." Jon shook his head in refusal.

When early in his career wrestling on the independent circuit, Jon had been quite impressive with high flying moves. An opponent purposely brought knees up to break his ribs, putting a stop to him doing many of those types of moves. Joe thought maybe a change to get past his fear was being presented to Jon.

"Problem is we can't be Jon Moxley, Dean Ambrose, Tyler Black, or Seth Rollins. Fans would become suspicious." Colby explained.

"Then here's a big question. What moves can you do?"

"Submissions." Jon came up with and knew himself still would be able to perform them with perfection.

"Pedigree since we are now the sons of Triple H." Colby said, giving a brief glance to where Hunter and Stephanie were sitting.

"Good, what else?"

"Low blows." they answered at the same time and Joe held back from laughing on memories of each of them landing those on Brock Lesnar.

"No." Stephanie told them without even looking up from her paperwork.

"We could claim to have been trained with the Shield." Jon suggested. "It would cover us a little bit if seemed similar to their wrestling styles."

"We're twins so should be able to do each other's moves and may seem alike." Colby said.

On that idea the two boys worked to be in perfect sync with each move. Joe got the feeling no one on the rosters would be safe from his little brothers. Always Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins seemed like a mix of DX and Evolution. Using that would benefit them with making backstory more believable.

"What are you thinking for ring names?" Joe asked.

"No need. We won't think of getting in a ring for actual matches unless have to grow up all over." Jon said.

"They got you working with new potential jobbers." Dominik Mysterio laughed as he came down to the ring. "Now low that has got to be for you."

"Is there a reason you came down here?" Joe asked.

"Rumor going around that Rollins had to take a leave of absence. Looks like the idea of Rollins verse Reigns match at Wrestlemania 41 might not be on the card anymore."

"You want the empty spot in the match. We both know that wouldn't be much of a match." Joe claimed.

"I can take the Tribal Chief with no problem."

From both Colby and Jon came strong laughter to what Dominik said. The young man glared at the laughing boys.

"What's got you two laughing?"

"You'd never last more than five minutes in a match against Reigns." Colby declared.

"You're not even close to being a wrestler like your dad or Eddie Guerrero." Jon claimed.

"Who are you?"

"Our sons." Hunter told the young man. "They've done a lot of training with the Shield from when younger."

"Shield, huh? Doesn't seem as impressive as you think. We both know Judgement Day would easily beat those mutts."

"In your dreams. The Shield are the most dominate team in wrestling history. Even Evolution couldn't beat them when given the chance twice." Colby defended.

"A lot of talk about a group never to be seen again. What about yourselves? You two even close to okay wrestlers or just Shield fans pretending to be wrestlers?"

"Boys, stand down." Hunter ordered, not needing a brawl to take place.

"Yeah, boys, you heard your-" Dominick got shut up by Joe landing a superman punch to his jaw.

Dominik fled, smart enough to not get in a brawl with the Tribal Chief. As he went up the ramp, Dominik passed Paul Heyman, who barely gave him a glance. The man had been looking all around the arena for Joe.

"Hey, Paul." Joe greeted the wiseman before looking back to the twins.

"I came to talk about Raw. Since Rollins is out, we might want to put our attention on CM Punk."

"You should totally kick his ass on Raw." Colby encouraged to Joe.

"Who do we have here?"

"H and Steph's sons. They started traveling with their parents last night."

"I thought it only made up about them having kids. Any friends of Tribal Chief shall be given my respect."

"Thanks." Jon replied.

"I was just working with them on their wrestling. Shield has been doing it for years."

"Understandable with how close Rollins and Moxley are to Triple H."

"You could say we're a lot like those two." Colby said.

"Both interesting and scary to hear."

"We should go plan out for Raw." Joe instructed.

Alone inside the ring were now the twin boys after Joe left with Heyman for backstage to do their planning. Stephanie noticed this to give a nudge to her husband and that he got him going into the ring.

"You want me to ref a match for you boys?" Hunter asked to get identical nods.

He acted as a fair ref for their match, finding it to be fun. Both of the boys were really twins in wrestling, which worked to their backstory. Everyone of their moves were perfectly identical. In her chair, Stephanie watched with fondness towards the three in the ring.
