Chapter Fifteen: N.O.D
A small file and a book was on the table next to her as she was flipping through pages of the past wars Alder had fought in. Alessia sighed with frustration while rubbing her temples. She was trying to find more information about the redacted soldier Tally had mentioned. Now that they had her name. She could hear the television playing a song about America and Alder's voice. Then she heard Penelope's voice at the end. Hearing her new friend's voice made her curious. She looked up and frowned. She did not know the testing centers were already back open. Hearing footsteps as she looked over her shoulder, she saw Izadora watching her before walking up. She was wearing her standard uniform. No lab coat this time. Alessia closed the files and the books before stacking everything up to take back.
"What are you researching?" The Necro asked. Alessia shook her head at this. She grabbed the items she was using to put back only to be stopped. Her eyes locked onto the brown ones. She knew her lover was pressing.
"Not here." Alessia whispered. Seeing there was someone watching them. Izadora nodded.
"Take your lunch to my office then. You have labs to clean, Cadet." She spoke in a firm voice. Alessia nodded at this. It was to make the person watching them think Alessia was in trouble. She turned away and went back to putting the items up. Closing her notebook and placing it into her bag. She had taken her leave from the library now. Pondering the hallway while looking at the time. It was almost lunch time. Hearing several voices chattering while walking past her. She suddenly decided to do something. Taking her leave from the area towards the main building. She stopped in the middle of the grass and looked up. Seeing the dark clouds still covering the Fort. Hearing low rumbling from the thunder in the sky. There was no rain. Alessia raised a brow at this. Wondering if someone used work and forgot to break it. It didn't feel natural. Deciding she would ask Abigail about it later if she remembered. Turning back towards the main building and sighed while going up the steps. She stepped to the side to avoid running into someone. She held the door open and nodded her head before allowing herself inside. It seemed a little more silent inside the hallways. She stopped at her destination. Picking up the phone and dialing the number. Putting it against her ear. Hearing a tone before hanging up. Frowning as she tried again. Another tone. Sighing with frustration as she tried for a third time.
"The number you have reached is no longer available. Please hang up and try again later." An automated voice spoke on the phone. Alessia hung up the phone by slamming it. She was now rubbing her temples again at this. She felt angry. There was still no word about her mother and it had been over a year. Checking the time again before she felt a presence nearby her.
"General Bellweather!" Alessia spoke as she gave the woman a bow.
"I'm about to go have lunch with Abigail, come along." Petra spoke as Alessia smiled and nodded.
"I can stay for a few moments. I have labs I have to clean here shortly." Alessia spoke as she was following the woman. Her bag was still over her shoulders as she was conversing with Petra along the way.
She saw Abigail, Tally, and Raelle already eating at the table.
"Girls." Petra spoke as they looked up. Alessia took a seat next to Tally.
"Hey." Tally spoke as Alessia smiled and nodded her head.
"Candidates are starting to thin, Abigail. I hear Gregorio Shellbark is in high demand." Petra spoke as Alessia was taking a drink from her water.
"That's because he's a safety school with a penis." Abigail responded. Alessia spit out her drink as Raelle and Tally both choked while laughing. Alessia chuckled and wiped her mouth clean from this.
"Isn't fighting the Camarilla more important than handfasting right now?" Abigail asked.
"There are many ways to fight the enemy." Petra spoke while she started eating her food. "After Charvel, our family has to fight back in any way we can. Raelle, excellent work at the weapons test by the way. The Brass was impressed." The older witch added.
"It was a blur, thank you though." Raelle spoke as she set her fork down.
"Take pride, history is being made." Petra then spoke.
"Speaking of history! Can I pick your brains about Liberia?" Tally then asked. Alessia frowned at this. Remembering that her own father was sent there just after she was born.
"The forever front? What about it?" Petra asked with a smile.
"You only invited us to keep your mom from pestering you about Gregorio." Raelle whispered to Abigail. Alessia smirked at this when she heard.
"Can you blame me?" Abigail asked.
"I started looking into Martyrdom of the Rebels." Tally spoke. Alessia knew where this was going. Tally was wondering if Petra knew anything about it.
"That was before my time I am afraid." Petra spoke. "All I know is from the same books you've read, Esterbrook and her witches refused conscription when the US came knocking. So they martyred themselves to make a statement to the rest of the world." Petra explained as Alessia was listening closely. She was curious about this as well.
"So why isn't General Alder a bigger part of that story?" Tally then asked. She wanted to know why herself as well.
"Why would she be? She wasn't there when the martyrdom occurred." Petra then spoke while giving Tally a curious look.
Oh, I heard she was. Fighting alongside a soldier named Batan. It would have been one or two classes before yours." Tally replied. Alessia tilted her head at this.
"Where are you getting your information?" Petra then asked. Alessia knew it was time to stop. Petra was part of the intelligence team and was now on alert. She knew that look.
"She's been reading too many books. Hard to say." Abigail interjected at this. Stopping from any suspicion happening.
"Though, Intelligence does often have a hard time keeping track of the General's comings and goings. You may want to find a source closer to the story." Petra spoke as she wiped her hands clean with a napkin.
"Thank you, ma'am." Tally spoke. Alessia was curious. Even the intelligence had a hard time keeping up with Alder.
"I have to go. Labs." Alessia spoke. Seeing her sisters look at her and nodded. Alessia then quickly took her leave.
The air was cold and crisp outside as she inhaled the air. Sighing softly while looking back up. The dark clouds were still there. Pushing herself forward as she headed towards the Necro building. Knowing Izadora was waiting for her. She headed inside and down the stairs rather quickly. Holding onto the railing as she went. Not wanting to fall over. Looking around to see it was empty. Maybe there were classes going on. Not that she knew. Seeing the large classroom in sight as she entered. Seeing Izadora eating her lunch alone. Alessia walked forward and knocked on the door. Seeing the older witch look up and smile.
"I was wondering when you were going to show up. Close the door. I've set up a ward for silence." The woman spoke as Alessia nodded. She closed the door and sat down. Izadora stood up and walked over and set a plate down. It was her cooking. She loved her cooking. Alessia began to eat and smiled at this.
"I love your cooking." She spoke while setting her bag down.
"Tell me." Izadora spoke. Getting right to it.
"Tally is having dreams. Visions. About the General's past memories." Alessia spoke. Spilling the secret.
"Does the General know about this?" Izadora asked. Alessia shook her head at this.
"She didn't want anyone knowing about it." Alessia spoke. Izadora nodded her head and leaned back into her seat.
"Tell me what has been going on." She spoke.
"It started after the separation. When she was no longer a Biddie. When you performed the separation. That night, she had the first dream. Izadora, I believe Tally is a Prophetess." Alessia spoke.
"I see. Your unit has some very rare talents. It makes me curious. What else?" She asked.
"Well, in the first vision, Tally was in a jungle. For some reason, it hurt her in the waking world as well." Alessia explained. Izadora stood up and was walking around the room slowly. Hands behind her back while listening. "I was researching a name she mentioned. Batan. A redacted soldier. Do you know her? They were there when the martyrdom happened?" Alessia asked. Izadora was looking at her and shook her head.
"I believe it was before my time." Izadora replied.
"So, it's true then." Alessia sighed while finishing her food.
"What is?"
"That even the intelligence team cannot keep up with the General's doings." Alessia replied.
"Who said that?" Izadora asked.
"General Bellweather." Alessia replied.
"Who else knows about Tally's visions?" Izadora asked.
"Just apart from my unit? Only you." Alessia spoke.
"I am glad you told me." Izadora spoke. Cupping both of Alessia's cheeks with a smile. "Though, I would advise you to not dig any further into this." Izadora warned her.
"Knowing Tally, she isn't going to let it go." Alessia frowned. Feeling her cheek caressed.
"Just, do not let it get out of hand." Izadora added. Alessia nodded and leaned in. Hugging the woman tightly. "Also, I need to do something." The Necro added. Alessia raised a brow as she pulled back. There was a hand against her head behind her ear. Izadora was singing a seed. There was a static sound in her ear before it stopped. She raised a brow at the woman.
"You are needed on a task soon and farspeech is required. Now, you can do it." Izadora spoke. Alessia nodded her head at this. This was going to be interesting. "Also, we should contact each other through it many times." The older witch added.
"May I ask why?" Alessia asked.
"The more we speak to each other through it, the higher chance we will imprint on each other. That way we can communicate across oceans." Izadora spoke.
"Whoa. That is amazing!" Alessia spoke with a shocked expression on her face.
"Indeed. I agree. For now, you are wanted elsewhere." Izadora spoke. Alessia gave her a confused look only to see M standing outside and knocked on the door.
"It is open." Izadora replied as she dropped her hands.
"We leave in twenty minutes. We are wanted on a task." M spoke. Alessia nodded at her Coven leader as M took their leave. She felt her cheek cupped again as she looked into the dark eyes. Alessia smiled and grabbed Izadora's hips and pulled her close. Their lips meeting in a perfect dance.
"Come now love. You need to head out." Izadora spoke. Alessia nodded and hugged her again before taking her leave.
"Where are we headed?" Alessia asked as she was now following M.
"We are the security detail for the opening of a testing center nearby. General wants you on my team. We are the main security with the General." M explained as Alessia nodded. She was following with her hands behind her back.
"Do we bring anything?" Alessia also asked.
"Your scourge just in case. We are not to use it for any reason unless we are ordered to." M spoke. "We are grabbing the rest of your unit and Penelope." M added.
"Right. She is the poster child. She's grown since she came." Alessia spoke with a smile as they arrived at her unit's room. She opened the door to see her sisters in there talking about relationships.
"Cadets. Orders came from General Alder herself. Things are getting a bit tough at the testing center. She wants us with bells there to make the new witches feel at ease." M spoke as they cleared their voice.
"What if we have other things that are more important than Parade Duty?" Abigail asked.
"You heard me say 'orders' right?" M asked while looking at Alessia who nodded her head. "Move out in fifteen. Except for you two teachers' pets." M pointed at Tally and Raelle. "Collar is on Alder's personal security detail." M spoke.
"Price of fame huh?" Abigail asked while taking her leave.
"What about me?" Tally asked while walking up.
"You won't be riding the bus. You are with Penelope and the Vice President." M replied. Tally nodded her head. Alessia grabbed her scourge and placed it upon her hit. The rune carvings are still perfectly in place. Seeing Tally take her leave as M looked back to her.
"Alright, we are heading to the bus." M spoke as Alessia nodded and followed. Seeing a single bus as she hopped on as well. Seeing a few familiar faces she had seen across base as she sat down.
"Alright, listen up!" A voice shouted as she looked up. Seeing another woman standing up as the bus moved. "We are to be a neutral party! There will be protestors on each side! Our job is to make sure everyone is safe! This is a non combat situation! " The woman shouted. Hearing everyone stomp their feet twice as did Alessia to show she understood.
"Are we ready?" A voice spoke in her ear.
"Whoa." Alessia spoke. It was Alder's voice speaking in far speech.
"Yes, General. We are ready!" The woman replied. Alessia looked out of the window as they were arriving. They were not far from it. Hearing shouting and several voices chanting. She stood up and followed M off the bus. Looking around and saw several angry civilians shouting.
"Not Our Daughters!"
"Find your voice!"
So many shouting, she could barely make out which side was which. She felt uneasy. Looking around as she was nudged forward. Seeing Alder taking the lead as she followed. Heading inside of the building. Alessia stood by the door where she was supposed to be at. M was on the other side. They locked eyes and nodded their heads once. Raelle was standing by Alder as she was speaking to a young witch.
"Come." Alder spoke as she headed outside. Alessia turned and followed. Abigail, Raelle were there with her. Tally was already outside with Penelope. Seeing Penelope walk up to her.
"I'm nervous." She spoke. Alessia grabbed her friend's shoulder and squeezed it with a light smile.
"You've got this. Remember to breath and let it go. You are a natural at this. The gift you were born with." Alessia reminded her.
"You are right." Penelope spoke as she walked back to the front. Seeing Alder eyeing her.
"What is it, Private Solace?" Alder asked.
"I have an uneasy feeling." Alessia replied while looking around.
"Be on alert." Alder spoke in far speech. Alessia raised a brow. "You've never led me wrong with your gut feeling. Just like another witch that I know." Alder replied to her questioning look before heading back onto the stage where Penelope was now standing in front of the large bowl. Alessia took her position down before in front with Abigail and Raelle. Looking around while watching people. The camera crew was now outside as Alder stood tall and proud with that smile. Penelope began to sing a low note. Seeing the water inside react to it. Three long thin pillars were rising.
"The songs we sing are songs of freedom. Songs of protection. Of justice and sisterhood and patriotism and pride. And no matter what may come of today's verifications, I ask that each of you honor your country by letting these young women discover who they truly are with warmth and support." Alder spoke to the camera. Hearing several people booing and shouting at this now. Alessia frowned while looking at Alder.
"Traitor!" A voice shouted as Alessia looked around to find the voice but could not. There were too many of them against what they do.
"Have you seen anything like this?" Raelle asked as Alessia looked up to her sister.
"Too many times Cadets. Too many times." Alder spoke. She frowned at this. "No matter how good our services are, there will always be those who hate us and are against us." Alder spoke. Watching the General go back inside.
"Solace, inside." M's voice came from her ear. She headed inside as well. Seeing a woman getting tested positive before hugging her boyfriend.
"Basic is gonna eat her alive." Abigail spoke.
"Why, because she is leaving her boyfriend behind?" Raelle asked.
"People leave, people die. It's life." Abigail spoke. Alessia rolled her eyes at this before ignoring them now. Looking around again. She saw Alder stop. She assumed someone was talking to her.
"Understood. And thank you." Alder spoke. Her eyes locked with Alessia's. "I trusted your gut and you were right." She spoke before turning to speak to the others. Alessia felt the hair rise on the back of her neck with goosebumps on her arms. She was now on full alert.
"Get me General Bellweather." Alder ordered.
"What's going on?" Another voice spoke.
"Their tactics are evolving." Alder replied. "Keep the negatives inside." She ordered. Alessia saw a few soldiers now running about the place. Alessia kept her post.
"Sound the alarm and the public will know the Camarilla are back."
"For today, we lie." Alder sighed. Alessia frowned at this. This was something she did not like. "Say it's the spree. Say nothing to anyone but your unit and us." Alder spoke looking at Alessia who nodded.
She turned on her feet and headed outside. Seeing her unit there as well.
"Where is Penelope?" Alessia asked Tally.
"Her father took her." Tally spoke. Alessia sighed and looked around. It seemed the crowd was starting to get out of hand. There was a low pitch ringing as Alessia rubbed her. Looking around for it.
"What is it?" Raelle asked, looking at her.
"There's a ringing." She replied.
"Can you find it?" Her sister asked.
"I'm trying. There is more than one." She spoke.
Not Our Daughters! The protestors were getting louder. Then there was garbled speech in her ear as she tilted her head to focus more and frowned.
"Prepare Sekhmet for crowd escalation." The voice spoke. Alessia gave her sisters a confused look.
"What are our orders?" Alessia asked while looking at them again.
"No clue, Far speech just glitched out." M replied. The sinking feeling was now rising as she nodded with a sigh.
"Abigail, it's me." A voice spoke as Alessia looked at Abigail with a confused look.
"That didn't sound like Alder." Raelle spoke.
"That's because it wasn't." Abigail replied.
"Tal?" Alessia asked as Tally was trying to focus her sight. Alessia closed her eyes as she was trying to focus her hearing but someone or something was messing it with.
"Whatever is messing with far speech is messing with my sight." Tally spoke. She frowned at this as Abigail was now talking to someone.
"Abs." Raelle spoke as they were all concerned now. Alessia now heard another ringing sound as she focused her hearing. She managed to tone out the protestors. Everything went silent and in slow motion as she pinpointed the sound. She looked behind her and saw a plastic tube sticking out of the ground and walked up to it. There she saw it. The ringing coming from it.
"What is that?" Raelle asked.
"Don't touch it!" Abigail spoke.
"It looks like a bomb." M spoke as she readied her scrouge. Everyone did the same. Feeling the power of the runes pulseate against her hands as she looked around. "Get everyone back!" M ordered. Alessia placed it back on her hips while raising her arms up to her shoulders and shouted.
"Please move back! For your safety!" Alessia shouted. They were not listening.
"Please move back!" Tally's voice was above.
"Step back please!" Raelle's voice came.
"You send them away to die!" A man's voice spoke.
"Some of your daughters may be called but I promise you they will be in good company!" Raelle's voice spoke. Alessia felt goosebumps at this. "Someone told me to let the army make me strong. She was right!" Raelle shouted. "Your daughters will be safe!" Her sister added.
"Please step back!" Tally's voice spoke again. Then she heard it. The ringing resonated louder and then it was silent.
"Raelle! Alessia!" Tally's voice shouted. She looked over in time to see Tally's sight was focused. Her hearing went silent as she looked over to the tube in time. There was a blast of air as she was knocked off her feet.
"Ugh." Alessia sat up while rubbing her head. Hearing sirens and screaming as she looked around. Her vision was a little blurry. Shaking her head as she saw people running around and the police were trying to get the crowd under control. She stood up and staggered a little. Her sight came back as she blinked a couple times before getting her bearings.
"Tally! Alessia!" Raelle's voice brought her back as she looked over her shoulder to see Tally and Raelle standing by each other. Alessia however walked over to the tube and saw the item was still inside of it. She grabbed it and pocketed it. It was no longer a threat. She was curious about it before walking up to her sisters.
"Where's Abigail?" Alessia asked while looking around. It seemed her sister was nowhere to be found.
"Solace! With me!" M shouted.
"Get everyone you can to safety!" Alessia spoke to the other two as they nodded. Alessia turned on her heels and ran after M.
"What's going on?" She asked as M was leading her down the parking lot. She could hear different sounds and grunting.
"Sing for us?" A voice asked. Alessia knew. She grabbed her scourge while seeing a van coming up.
"I'm gonna enjoy this!" M shouted as they swung. Making contact with a face. Alessia jumped and turned. Swinging the whip hard. Seeing it make contact as well. Abigail was on her knees. She was bloodied up again. She frowned at the sight before getting into a hand by hand combat with a grown man twice her size. She turned and flung her arm forward. Making sure her scourge wrapped around his neck and yanked it down. Forcing him on his knees as M finished him off. Seeing the van moving.
"With me!" M shouted as Alessia stood by M.
"Skaa!" They hissed together to send the van flying. Hearing Abigail began to sob as Alessia quickly moved over and fell to her knees. Pulling Abigail into her arms. Rubbing her back and shoulders.
"Hey, it's okay." Alessia spoke. Seeing Tally and Raelle running over as well.
"Hey, you're going to be okay." Raelle spoke.
"Let's move out!" M shouted. Seeing Abigail lifted to her feet by her sisters as Alessia nodded at them.
"I will follow. Need to grab something." Alessia spoke.
"Make it quick. We need to leave." M spoke as she nodded at her coven leader before jogging back to the site. It seemed all the protestors had left. Only the soldiers remained as Alder gave orders. Alessia was looking around and spotted another one. Walking up to it and pulling it out. It looked like mine. There were a few more of them as she pulled each out. She now had six of them before a voice was behind her.
"What did you find, cadet?" Alder's voice spoke.
"Mines." Alessia replied, looking at her leader. Holding up the mine in her palm.
"Hold onto those. Give them to,." Alder began.
"Izadora." Alessia spoke as she nodded. "Yes, General." She bowed before following onto the bus. Seeing everyone had a look upon their faces. She sat down in a seat near the front. Holding onto the mines as they made their way back to Fort Salem.
The bus had stopped. No one had words. There was no talking or anything. Everyone was silent. Just like when the blast happened. Hearing a sniffle once or twice as it was Abigail. Everyone was now watching Alder.
"Get some rest everyone. That is an order. We will be briefing here soon." Alder spoke. Seeing everyone file off the bus. Alessia followed.
"Where are you going?" Tally asked as she looked at her fiery friend.
"I was ordered to give these to Izadora." Alessia spoke as her sister nodded before guiding Abigail to the infirmary. Alessia felt the grass under her boots as she made her way over to the Necro building. Seeing it was closed and locked off before running her hand across the door with the sigil. Seeing it opened as she walked inside. Heading down the stairs as she arrived at the classroom. Seeing how empty it looked as the bright light was on. Izadora was pacing in her office. Wondering why as she walked up to the door.
"I was told to bring these to you." Alessia spoke. Seeing Izadora's eyes go wide as she rushed over. Pulling her into a tight hug.
"I'm alright." Alessia spoke weakly.
"Of course you are! I heard what happened. Why didn't you contact me?" Izadora asked in her gentle low voice.
"So much happened at once. I am sorry." Alessia frowned. She was pulled into the office and pushed into a chair. The door was closed as Alessia felt gentle hands against both sides of her head. Izadora was linking with her. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Her heart was now calm. No longer beating fast. Her headache was now gone but her memories were now being tapped. She opened herself completely to the link. Feeling the hands pull back after several moments before a kiss against her ear from behind. Alessia shivered at this before looking at her lover.
"You managed to locate the sound. I am proud of you. You've grown stronger." Izadora spoke with a smile before taking the mines out of her head. "Come. Hair up, coat on." She was instructed. She nodded. Putting her hair up and stopping. Looking at the lab she hadn't been in for a long time. The last time she was there was with her Necro sister who turned out to be Spree. She frowned before putting the coat on. It was a perfect fit. Seeing the older witch set the mines on the table as Alessia approached.
"Tell me exactly what happened with these." She spoke.
"They had a low ringing while they were active. They let out a loud resonating sound before it goes off. It was a blast of air that knocked everyone off their feet. Like it was our work being used." Alessia explained. Seeing the mine was now being taken apart as she watched. She handed Izadora her tools while taking notes. There was a loud pitch as Alessia covered her eyes as the mine was now disabled. Dropping her hands while watching again.
"This is interesting work. Definitely not Spree." Izadora spoke.
"Camarilla." Alessia spoke with a sigh.
"So, the Camarilla was there?" Izadora asked.
"Yes, the General told me to not tell anyone but my unit." Alessia spoke.
"I saw in the link. Spree uses work using containers but this. This is different." Izadora spoke while setting the mine down. "I have much work to do with these. I know you are tired, my love. Head to the infirmary and get some rest." Izadora spoke. Alessia nodded. Taking the coat off as she sighed. Feeling a hug from behind tightly. "I love you my little Amanita." Izadora spoke into her ear. Alessia smiled and turned in her arms.
"I love you too." She spoke. Receiving a deep kiss.
Alessia sighed as she was walking towards the infirmary. Wondering how her sisters were doing now. Knowing Abigail would be resting. Well she hoped so. She knew how stubborn Bellweather was. Opening the door as she made her way down the hallway. It was silent. You could hear a pin drop on the floor miles away. She arrived and pushed the door opened to see her sisters sitting on Abigail's bed.
"Are you sure it was Scylla?" Tally asked. Alessia froze. Was Scylla there when it happened?
"Tal, I know those eyes anywhere." Raelle spoke.
"She was there?" Alessia asked in a weak voice.
"Alessia!" Tally spoke as she jumped up. Nearly running as she hugged. Rubbing Tally's back while seeing Abigail passed out in the bed.
"Is she going to be okay?" Alessia asked as she sat down on another bed next to them.
"Doesn't matter." Tally spoke as Alessia saw Abigail sitting up.
"What doesn't matter now?" Abigail asked as she sat up. Hearing a small grunt from her sister as Raelle stood up with her hands at the ready.
"Hey, careful. You've been sedated." Raelle spoke before sitting back down.
"Should've used stronger medicine." Abigail spoke. Alessia sighed at this. Drugs were not something she needed right now.
"You okay?" Tally asked in a soft but worried voice.
"Not really. The Camarilla came for me, just like they came for Charvel. And I couldn't do a damn thing about it." Abigail spoke with frustration.
"You were outnumbered." Alessia spoke at this. She was outnumbered, that's why she almost died again.
"I walked right into their trap. Because of Charvel. Because I failed at saving her, too." Abigail spoke in a defeated voice.
"Abigail, look at me. Don't put that on yourself." Raelle spoke trying to reassure Abigail now.
"It doesn't matter." Tally spoke this time.
"Uh, are we at war with the Camarilla now or what?" Abigail asked.
"Alder's been telling everyone it was The Spree. To keep panic from spreading in the witch community." Tally added. Alessia nodded her head at this. She was right.
"She said we didn't have to worry about the Camarilla. She told me to let it go. One lie after another, huh?" Abigail added.
"They're hunting her. Tally, all Alder does is lie. You said it in the Tarim. Alder does what Alder does." Raelle spoke with a scoffed before speaking again. "It's always someone else's life she's playing with. Where are you going?" Raelle asked as Tally stood up and left.
"I'll go. Get some rest." Alessia spoke as she followed Tally out.
"Tally!" Alessia shouted. Seeing Izadora leaving the building and watching them. Tally ignored her and walked into the building. A storm was picking up as she looked up to the sky.
"Come." Was all Izadora spoke as Alessia nodded and followed the older witch. "I dropped off the results and what not about the mines." Izadora spoke as she broke the silence. Making their way towards the Necro building again.
"Oh?" Alessia asked while still looking forward as they arrived. The sigil was used again. Waiting for an answer as she followed down the stairs again.
"They are using our work against us. Trying to disable us." Izadora spoke as she sighed. Alessia looked at her and frowned. Touching the Necro's arm and squeezing it. It rewarded her with a weak smile before following into the office.
"How is Abigail?" Izadora asked. Alessia smiled weakly at this. She loved how Izadora used their first names and spoke to them like humans instead of soldiers at most times.
"She's angry and has every right to be." Alessia spoke as her lover nodded her head. A finger was held up.
"Understood. I have one made already. I'll send it up." Izadora spoke. Alessia raised a brow before it was answered. "It seemed Tally stormed into the General's office and demanded answers. She wants me to give Tally a potion to sever the link completely." Izadora spoke.
"She isn't going to like that." Alessia spoke as she shook her head. Watching the Necro stand up and pull out a small bottle from the fridge. Hearing a knock as Alessia looked over. Seeing Wick with a smile.
"I was sent to pick it up." Wick spoke.
"That was fast." Izadora spoke and handed it over.
"Cadet, aren't you supposed to be in the infirmary as well?" Wick had asked her.
"She is here on my orders. For the Camarilla mines." Izadora replied.
"Very well. Get some rest." Wick ordered before taking her leave. Seeing the door closed before walking back to the fridge and pulling out another small bottle. Alessia stood up and walked over and leaned against Izadora. An arm was wrapped around her as her back was rubbed. She received a kiss before letting go. Izadora pulled out a knife.
"What are you doing?" Alessia asked with a curious look. Izadora smiled and cut the bottom of her palm out and let the blood drip into the bottle. Closing the lid and shaking it before setting it down.
"It's an experiment that I started working on." Izadora answered. Watching the older witch walk over before she turned her attention back. She had no idea what made her do it but she did. She opened the bottle and drank it. It tasted metallic from the blood before setting it down. Hearing a gasp as she looked over her shoulder. Izadora's mouth was opened as she watched what happened.
"What is it?" Alessia asked.
"You just drank it without knowing it?" Izadora asked. Crossing her arms and then smirking.
"Izadora….what did I drink?" Alessia asked as she was now getting worried.
"A pregnancy potion with my dna." Izadora replied.
