Author's Note: Greetings, my readers! Hope y'all are doing well. Thank you for all the reviews, follows, and favorites. You guys are obviously awesome. Now… oh boy. The votes. It's pure chaos, haha. Remember, I'm combining the votes here along with the votes on AO3. So, let me give you guys a look.

Peter/Emma - 34 Votes

Peter/Jean - 32 Votes

Peter/Kitty - 30 Votes

Peter/Storm - 21 Votes

Peter/Rogue - 21 Votes

Peter/X-23 - 21 Votes

Peter/Wanda - 12 Votes

Peter/Psylocke - 10 Votes

Peter/Firestar - 6 Votes

Peter/Jubilee - 4 Votes

Peter/Domino - 4 Votes

Peter/Dazzler - 4 Votes

Some people voted for mutants that I didn't even list, so just for fun, I'll put them here too, lol.

Peter/Magik - 4 Votes

Peter/Polaris - 3 Votes

Peter/RachelGrey - 2 Votes

Okay, so let's talk about all the votes real quick. I am laughing at Emma and Jean competing for first place, because of course they're competing with each other, lol. But aside from that, I'll say this. It's become clear that the top 3 ships most people want with Peter are Emma, Jean, and Kitty. But for the fourth spot, that's where things get tricky.

As you all can see, Storm, Rogue, and Laura are all tied for the freakin' fourth spot. Now, as an author, I have to make a choice, and ask myself who is it gonna be? Well, let me put it this way. I like having fun, so since those three are tied with each other, and I know they're all beloved characters, it's up in the air.

But aside from the top six vote getters, I do want to say that I plan on making Peter have a moment with nearly every character. He might not get in a relationship with them, but he'll have a moment, because I don't want to ignore the other votes for characters that you guys voted for.

Finally, I 'think' I'm finally closing the votes for this story, because if I keep it open for any longer, it's going to get more chaotic, lol. I realize that's what happens with shipping, but it is kinda funny to see.

With that being said, enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 3: Mystery

Midtown High School

BGM: Gilbert O'Sullivan - Alone Again

Peter Parker let out a small sigh as he walked away from Midtown High, his thoughts swirling like a storm cloud. His first day had been far from boring, and if he had to sum it up in one word? Eventful.

Jean Grey had been the first friendly face he encountered, helping him find his first class. Then there was Hank McCoy, his science and literature teacher, who Peter quickly realized was not only incredibly intelligent but also surprisingly down-to-earth. He had met other students like Miles Morales, Scott Summers, Kitty Pryde, Kurt Wagner, Ororo Munroe, Rogue, and Emma Frost.

There were also some less-than-welcoming encounters, particularly with Flash Thompson and the Maximoff twins—Pietro and Wanda. While Wanda didn't appear to be much of a threat, he thinks Pietro is a different story. There was something… slightly unsettling about Pietro and his group of friends, to put it lightly. But honestly, even if his thoughts occasionally shifted to them, he couldn't get his mind off Flash.

Admittedly, seeing Flash again had been jarring. As kids, they were close, but now? Flash had made it clear that things had changed. His threat to Peter—telling him to stay away from Jean because she was his girlfriend—had been a stark reminder of that. Peter still couldn't wrap his head around how a girl as kind as Jean could be with someone like Flash.

The day hadn't been all bad, though. When Flash had tried to intimidate him, Emma had stepped in, standing up for Peter without hesitation. He thought about that moment and found himself smiling. They had only shared a brief exchange afterward, but Peter had a feeling their paths would cross again soon.

Still, the reality of his life always came knocking. No matter how many friends he made or how many normal moments he experienced, he would always have a greater responsibility. As he walked down the sidewalk, he began mentally preparing for his usual patrol as Spider-Man. But just as he was getting lost in his thoughts, a voice called out to him.

"Hey, Peter!"

He turned around to see Scott approaching, flanked by Jean, Rogue, Ororo, Kitty, and Kurt.

"We're heading to the arcade," Scott said with a friendly smile. "You wanna come with us?"

Peter blinked in surprise. The offer caught him off guard, and for a brief moment, he genuinely considered it. It had been a long day, and spending some time with new friends sounded… nice. But then, reality set in. His responsibility came first.

Peter let out a soft sigh and offered Scott a grateful but apologetic smile. "Thanks, but I can't this time. I, uh, have work."

It wasn't a total lie—being Spider-Man was basically a full-time job. One with no pay, but still.

Kitty pouted slightly. "Aww, really? Well, next time, then."

Jean smiled gently. "Take care of yourself, Peter."

"We'll be looking forward to you joining us in the future," Ororo added with a kind nod.

Rogue gave him a playful nudge. "And you better clear your schedule next time, sugah." She punctuated the statement with a wink.

Peter chuckled. "I promise I'll be ready next time."

Kurt grinned. "Ve'll hold you to that."

After exchanging goodbyes, the group walked off toward the arcade. Peter stood still for a moment, watching them go. He closed his eyes briefly, pinching the bridge of his nose. He had wanted to go with them. He really had. But he had a responsibility to the city.

With another sigh, he turned and slipped into a nearby alleyway. He pulled his backpack off his shoulders, already preparing to change into his costume. But what he didn't know was that someone had been watching him the entire time.

Wanda stood at a distance, her gaze locked on Peter as he disappeared into the shadows. A small, curious smile played at her lips. She had a particular feeling that something was… different about Peter, and she intended to find out exactly what it was.

Alleyway

BGM: Persona 5 - Suspicion

Peter reached into his backpack, pulling out his Spider-Man costume, when a sudden tingling sensation shot through his body. His Spider-Sense flared to life, a warning that something was off. Spinning around instinctively, Peter's eyes scanned the alley, but he didn't see any immediate threats. However, his breath caught in his throat when he saw a familiar figure standing a few feet away.

"Nice to meet you, Spider-Man," Miles said, his arms crossed, an amused grin stretching across his face.

Peter froze, his mind racing. His secret was out. The last person he expected to see here, of all people, was Miles. He'd never intended for anyone—especially a classmate—to find out who he really was.

"Uh, I don't know what you're talking about," Peter stumbled, trying to recover from the shock.

Miles chuckled, shaking his head. "Relax, man. I won't tell anybody. Promise."

Peter blinked, still processing the situation. "How'd you know?"

Miles smirked knowingly. "I kinda already suspected something was up before this. You gave off this… certain vibe when we met. Felt like something was different about you."

Peter raised an eyebrow, genuinely curious now. "Different? How so?"

Miles gave him a casual shrug. "Well, I've got spider-powers too," he said nonchalantly. "My Spider-Sense started buzzing the second I first met you. That's when I figured out that we're like each other."

Peter's jaw dropped. His mind reeled back to their first meeting today. He remembered how his own Spider-Sense had tingled when he met Miles. The thought that they shared this bond made his curiosity spike even higher.

"You've got spider-powers?" Peter repeated, still trying to wrap his mind around it. "How'd you get them?"

Miles nodded, a grin on his face. "A radioactive spider bit me. I guess the same thing happened to you?"

Peter chuckled, shaking his head. "Yeah, it is," he replied, pausing for a moment. "Man, I wasn't expecting to have this kind of conversation today."

Miles laughed along with him, but before either of them could say more, a third voice interrupted them.

"Well, well, well. Looks like the cat's out of the bag," Wanda said from behind them, her tone teasing but her eyes serious.

Both Peter and Miles spun around in surprise. They hadn't heard her approach.

"How long have you been standing there?" Peter blurted out, his eyes widening as Wanda stood with a smirk on her face.

"I've been listening to you two chat for a while now," Wanda replied coolly, crossing her arms. "But don't worry. Your secret's safe with me."

Peter and Miles exchanged uneasy glances, unsure whether to believe her.

Wanda noticed their hesitation and softened her stance. Something was on her mind, and she figured she would say it now. "Look, I'm sorry about how my brother, Pietro, and some of the others acted toward you earlier, Peter. They're… they can be a little much sometimes."

Peter blinked, genuinely surprised. He hadn't expected an apology, especially from someone like Wanda, who hadn't seemed particularly interested in getting to know him. He studied her face for any sign of insincerity, but there was none. Wanda's words seemed genuine.

"It's… it's fine," Peter said after a pause, offering a small smile. "Thanks for saying that."

BGM: Persona 5 - Tension

Wanda gave him a small, knowing smile in return. But the moment of calm was short-lived. All three of them suddenly felt a sharp pain shoot through their heads, and the world seemed to tilt for a brief, dizzying second. The Spider-Senses of Peter and Miles were going haywire, warning them of something larger happening.

Peter gripped his head, wincing. "What the heck was that?"

Miles stumbled a bit, equally disoriented. "Yeah, man, what just happened?"

"I'm not sure…" Wanda said, rubbing her temples. "But I don't think it was normal."

Before anyone could process the moment further, a flash of light blinked in and out of existence, too fast for them to fully comprehend. It left a strange energy in the air, leaving the three teens more on edge than ever.

Peter shook his head, snapping out of the fog. "Stay alert. We don't know what's going on, but I'm putting on the suit."

In a blur of motion, Peter quickly changed into his Spider-Man costume, already thinking ahead. He could sense that whatever was going on, it was bad. Really bad.

"We've gotta check it out," Peter muttered, already heading toward the exit of the alley.

"Right," Miles replied, following suit. Wanda would also move alongside them, her curiosity piqued.

Peter stopped short. The feeling of urgency was gnawing at him. "I think I've got a bad feeling about this," he said, glancing back at Wanda. "Maybe you should stay back, in case things get dangerous."

Wanda raised an eyebrow, looking thoroughly amused. "You're worried about me?" she asked with a smirk.

Before Peter could respond, Wanda held out her hand. A scarlet orb of energy materialized in her palm, crackling with power. "Don't worry, I can handle myself."

Miles stared at her, blinking in disbelief. "Okay, how many teens with superpowers are there at Midtown High?"

Wanda grinned, her eyes glinting. "More than you think."

Peter and Miles exchanged a look of surprise before both of them nodded. Together, they set off toward the ominous change unfolding in the city.

As they reached the street, their eyes widened in shock. The once-familiar skyline of Midtown was replaced with a colossal, high-tech metallic structure where Midtown High had once stood. The sky overhead had shifted to an eerie mix of yellow and black, casting an unnatural glow over the city.

Wanda spoke first, breaking the stunned silence. "This… this doesn't feel right."

Peter would clench his fists. "Whatever's going on, we need to figure it out. Fast." he told them both.

With that, the three of them walked toward the strange, looming base, ready to face whatever came next.

Location: Unknown

BGM: Persona 5 - To Another World

The metallic base loomed ominously around them as Peter, Miles, and Wanda stepped inside. Their footsteps echoed off the cold, sterile walls, and the silence was suffocating. Every corner of the place felt wrong—unsettling. The lights flickered intermittently, casting long shadows in the corners of the hall. The trio stayed close, their senses on high alert as they ventured deeper into the compound.

"Stay sharp," Peter muttered, his eyes darting around, scanning for any signs of danger. The air felt thick with tension.

They moved cautiously through the labyrinth of high-tech rooms, until they stumbled upon a chilling sight. Inside transparent capsules, various figures were suspended in some kind of stasis. But what was even more disturbing was the state of the people trapped within them. They looked… lifeless. No signs of movement, no signs of breath. Their faces were frozen in vacant expressions, like marionettes with their strings cut. Some were encased in what appeared to be jail cells, their bodies limp and unnaturally still. There were trails of blood marking the cold floor, further confirming the horrifying reality.

Peter's stomach churned as he observed the scene. "Who could be so heartless?" he whispered, his voice thick with disbelief. "Who would do this?"

Wanda's eyes flickered over the bodies, her expression darkening. She closed her eyes for a moment, as though trying to block out the sight before her. She didn't want to see this. She didn't want to feel the pain of those lives lost so brutally.

Miles stood frozen, his fists clenched at his sides. "This is... wrong. Whoever did this, they treated these people like experiments. Like they didn't even matter."

Wanda turned to him, her voice low but heavy with disgust. "It's sick. It's monstrous."

BGM: Persona 5 - The Days When My Mother Was There

Just as the words left her lips, a sharp SNIKT echoed through the eerie silence of the base. The sound sent a chill down their spines, and their bodies tensed in unison. Peter's heart skipped a beat. It was the unmistakable sound of claws unsheathing.

"Stay close," Peter urged, his voice tight with tension. He glanced quickly at Miles and Wanda, their expressions mirroring his unease. Something was coming.

A shadow shifted in the dim light, and slowly, a figure emerged from the darkness. A woman. Her movements were fluid, but there was something deadly in the way she carried herself. Her eyes were cold, calculating—focused on them like prey.

Peter, Miles, and Wanda stood frozen, each of them too stunned to move.

Wanda's eyes widened in shock as she took in the figure before them. "No way..." she muttered. "Is that... Laura?"

Miles blinked, just as confused. "Why is she here? What's going on?"

Peter, confused and increasingly alarmed, turned to Wanda. "Who is she?"

Wanda hesitated, her gaze never leaving the woman before them. "Laura... Laura Kinney. She was a classmate at Midtown High. But one day... she just disappeared. No one knew where she went."

Miles nodded slowly, his eyes glued to Laura's figure. "Yeah, I remember that. But I had no idea she had claws like that. What happened to her?"

Wanda's voice grew somber. "Like I said before, there are more superpowered teens at Midtown High than anyone realizes."

The trio took a hesitant step back, instinctively bracing themselves. Laura's eyes locked onto them, intense and full of hostility. Her claws gleamed in the dim light, and it was clear that she wasn't just standing there—she was analyzing them, sizing them up like a predator deciding whether to attack or wait.

Peter's voice was tentative as he took another step forward. "Laura?" he called softly. "We don't know what's going on, but... whatever happened to you, we want to help. We're not here to hurt you."

For a brief moment, Laura's gaze flickered, a subtle shift in her expression as if the words had registered, if only for an instant. She didn't lower her claws, but her stance softened slightly, and Peter saw a flicker of something vulnerable behind her intense eyes. Was it possible? Could they reach her?

Wanda took a step forward too, her voice gentle but firm. "We're here for you, Laura. Whatever happened, we want to help you through it."

Miles nodded, his voice steady. "You don't have to do this, Laura. We're not your enemies."

For a heartbeat, the three of them stood there, waiting, hoping that their words were enough. It seemed like they might have made a connection. Laura's claws twitched, as if she was about to retract them.

But then, something changed.

Without warning, Laura suddenly screamed, clutching her head as if in intense pain. It was as though something was ripping through her mind, controlling her.

"Laura!" Wanda cried out, rushing toward her, but before she could reach her, Laura shoved her hand away with startling strength. The SNIKT of her claws rang out again, sharper, more menacing this time.

In an instant, Laura's body surged forward with a vicious roar. She was no longer the girl they had tried to reason with; she was a weapon, and the trio realized that they were in mortal danger.

Peter's heart raced. The look in Laura's eyes was wild, completely devoid of reason. "Move!" he shouted, but they were barely a step ahead.

Laura lunged at them, claws outstretched, and they barely had time to react.

But before she could strike, Wanda's eyes flashed with intense power. Her body radiated a powerful scarlet energy that crackled in the air around her. She screamed, her voice mixing with the raw power erupting from her.

A blinding flash of chaotic light exploded from Wanda's body, enveloping Peter, Miles, and herself. The force of the energy warped the air, distorting everything in its wake. Laura's claws stopped in mid-air, just inches from Peter's face, as if the world had frozen for a split second.

And then, in the blink of an eye, the trio vanished from the metallic base, leaving Laura standing there in stunned silence, the faint glow of her claws the only thing that remained in the darkened hall.

Midtown High School

BGM: Persona 5 - Suspicion

The blinding flash of scarlet light slowly faded, and Peter, Miles, and Wanda found themselves standing in an eerily quiet place. The familiar hum of Midtown High's halls greeted them, but it was empty. No students, no teachers, just the silence that followed the end of the school day.

Miles took a deep breath, his voice tinged with disbelief. "What just happened?" His words were shaky, still processing the insanity they had just been through.

Peter could barely form a coherent response, his own voice thick with confusion. "I… I don't know. None of this makes sense." He paused, his eyes scanning the empty hall. "I just… I don't even know what's real anymore."

Before either of them could say anything more, a soft groan broke through the tension. They turned to see Wanda, her hand pressed against her head, stumbling slightly as if the weight of the energy she had unleashed was catching up to her. The exhaustion was written all over her face.

Peter's expression immediately softened with concern. "Wanda?" He rushed to her side, steadying her with one hand on her shoulder as she steadied herself. "Are you okay?"

Wanda managed a small smile, her fatigue evident but not enough to dampen the appreciation in her eyes. "I'm fine, Peter. Just… tired. A little more than I expected." She looked at him, and there was something almost reassuring in the way she met his gaze.

Miles, though still visibly shaken, furrowed his brow, curiosity overcoming his shock. "What exactly did you do back there? How did we end up here?"

Wanda paused for a moment, as though trying to put the experience into words. "I'm not sure," she admitted, her voice quiet. "I released a lot of my power, trying to stop Laura, but after that… everything's a blur. I didn't even think it would work."

Peter gave a small, relieved chuckle, despite the lingering unease. "Well, I'm glad it did. Otherwise, I think we'd all be dead right now." His tone was light, but the gravity of the situation still weighed heavily on him.

Miles let out a breathy laugh at Peter's blunt honesty, the humor offering a brief respite in the midst of everything. Wanda smiled slightly as well, the tension easing just a bit. But the light moment didn't last long; the questions pressing on them all were too many, too heavy.

"Where were we, exactly?" Peter asked, the mystery still gnawing at him. "What happened to Laura? Why couldn't she control herself?"

Wanda and Miles exchanged a look. There were no answers, just questions upon questions. The uncertainty hung thick in the air.

"Yeah, I don't get it either," Miles added. "We were in some kind of facility, but… how did we even get there? And why did Laura… why was she like that?"

They all exhaled at the same time, the weight of everything sinking in. No answers. Just endless confusion.

Peter turned to Miles, trying to ground himself amidst the chaos. "So, what should we do now?"

Miles, after taking a moment to think, spoke with determination. "We need to help Laura. Whatever happened to her, she's not herself. But we have to figure out how to get back to wherever she is."

Wanda nodded, her voice steady despite her exhaustion. "I can probably get us back there. If I got us out, I should be able to find a way to bring us back in. But I need to figure out how…"

Peter placed a hand gently on her arm, a reassuring gesture. "Don't worry about that right now, Wanda. You're still tired. We can figure it out later."

Wanda gave him a grateful smile, touched by his concern. "Thanks, Peter. I appreciate it."

Miles crossed his arms, his expression turning serious again. "Once Wanda recovers and figures out how to get back, we'll make our move. But we can't rush it. We need a plan."

Peter and Wanda both nodded in agreement. The resolve was clear in their eyes. Whatever had happened to Laura, whatever was controlling her, they were going to fix it. Together.

The trio stood in the empty hall of Midtown High, the weight of their silent vow to save Laura hanging in the air, a promise they all knew they had to keep.

The Arcade

BGM: The Jets - Crush on You

The arcade buzzed with energy, filled with the clatter of video game sounds, the hum of pinball machines, and the occasional laugh or cheer as one of their group hit a new high score. The group of friends—Scott, Jean, Rogue, Ororo, Kitty, and Kurt—had settled into a cozy corner booth, surrounded by an array of snacks and drinks. They had been enjoying their time together, their laughter and camaraderie filling the space as they ate and relaxed.

Kitty, ever the one to stir up a conversation, leaned forward on her elbows, eyeing the group. "It's a bummer Peter couldn't join us," she said with a small sigh. "I was really hoping he would."

Scott, always quick with a playful remark, grinned. "Sounds like someone's got a bit of a crush on our new friend Peter."

A faint blush crept onto Kitty's face, but she didn't try to deny it. She simply shrugged, her cheeks still tinged with pink. "I mean, he's really nice, and-" she hesitated for a second, glancing around at her friends, "...he's just easy to talk to."

Rogue grinned mischievously, catching on to the teasing. "Oh, I can definitely see it. Peter does seem like a genuine guy. Kinda sweet, really."

Kitty ducked her head, trying to hide the deeper blush now forming on her face, but the attention was making her squirm just a bit. Kurt, ever the perceptive one, couldn't help but pick up on something more. His eyes narrowed in playful suspicion. "Wait a second…" He looked between Rogue and Kitty, his gaze lingering a bit longer on Rogue. "Rogue, do you have a crush on Peter too?"

For a brief moment, Rogue froze. She looked at Kurt, her lips quirking as if weighing her response. "Maybe. Maybe not," she said with a shrug, but there was a hint of something else in her eyes—something that suggested she wasn't entirely indifferent to the idea.

Scott, who was always up for stirring up a little mischief, couldn't hold back his laugh. "Looks like we've got two girls with crushes on Peter," he said, enjoying the reactions he was getting. He turned to Ororo, his grin widening. "So, Ororo, do you have a crush on Peter too?"

Ororo's eyes narrowed slightly as she met Scott's gaze, her expression calm but firm. "Leave me out of this, Scott."

Scott raised his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright," he said, though he was still grinning. "But come on, Jean," he continued, turning to her with a playful gleam in his eye. "You're next. Do you have a crush on Peter?"

Jean rolled her eyes with an exaggerated groan. "Don't even think about asking me that," she warned him, though there was a playful undertone in her voice. "I have a boyfriend."

Kitty leaned back slightly in her seat, a small smirk forming on her face. "I mean, it's totally possible to be attracted to someone else, even if you're in a relationship," she added, glancing at Jean with a teasing glint in her eyes.

Jean gave a small, resigned smile. "Nice try, Kitty, but no," she said, her tone light but firm. "I'm still not answering that question."

Ororo nodded in agreement, her expression filled with understanding. "Well said, Jean. I admire your ability to stand your ground."

Jean smiled back at Ororo, a quiet but meaningful exchange between them. They had always been close—like sisters, really—and moments like these always reinforced that bond.

Rogue leaned back, chuckling. "I think this is just a way for Jean and Ororo to dodge the question," she teased, eyes twinkling with amusement.

Kurt chimed in with a smirk. "Rogue, to be fair, you didn't exactly give a definitive answer either," he pointed out, and that made the whole group laugh together.

The air around the table felt warm with friendship, the easy banter and teasing lifting everyone's spirits. Despite the weight of the mysteries they all faced, moments like this reminded them of the bond they shared—a bond that couldn't be broken by the challenges they were sure to face in the future.

And just like that, the lighthearted conversation carried on, the laughter echoing through the arcade, a reminder that no matter how strange or dangerous the world might get, they always had each other.

The X-Mansion

BGM: Christopher Cross - Sailing

The moon hung high over the X-Mansion, casting a silver glow on its familiar yet imposing structure. Logan stood outside, taking in the sight before him. It had been a long time since he last stood on these grounds, and for a moment, he let himself feel the weight of his return.

Charles Xavier, ever the patient and understanding presence, turned to Logan with a warm smile. "Welcome home, Logan."

Logan glanced at him before looking back at the mansion, a small, almost imperceptible smile forming on his rugged face. "Yeah… gotta admit, I missed this place," he muttered, the gruffness in his voice unable to mask the truth in his words.

With that, the two stepped inside, the familiar scent of polished wood and old books filling Logan's senses. Memories of old missions, laughter in the halls, and battles fought together flickered through his mind. It really did feel like home, whether he wanted to admit it or not.

Charles would speak to Logan one more time before turning towards his office. "I'll give you some time to settle in. Take all the space you need."

Logan nodded in appreciation, watching as the professor made his way down the hall before deciding to head toward his old room. But before he could take another step, a soft cough from a nearby room caught his attention.

His ears perked up as he followed the sound, leading him to a slightly ajar door. Pushing it open, he found Jubilee lying on her bed, her face slightly pale, a box of tissues nearby. Sitting by her bedside was Psylocke—Betsy Braddock—her usual poised demeanor present, though a hint of concern was evident in her expression.

The sight of Jubilee under the weather made Logan's hardened expression soften. He had always had a soft spot for the kid, and seeing her like this tugged at something deep inside him.

"Didn't expect to see this," he said, stepping into the room.

At the sound of his voice, both women turned toward him, their eyes widening slightly in surprise.

Even with her condition, Jubilee's lips stretched into a grin. "Logan! You're back!" Her voice was hoarse, but her excitement was clear.

Psylocke gave a small but genuine smile. "It's good to have you back, Logan."

"Yeah, it's good to be back," he admitted, stepping closer to Jubilee's bedside. He eyed her with concern, his sharp gaze taking in her slightly weakened state. "You okay, kid?"

Jubilee waved a hand dismissively. "Pfft, I'm fine. It's just a little cold. Nothing I can't handle."

She then gestured to Psylocke. "Betsy's been taking care of me all day. She's been real nice about it, too."

Psylocke merely shrugged. "It's the least I could do."

Logan smirked, crossing his arms. "Didn't think you had a soft side, Betsy."

Psylocke smirked right back, leaning slightly in her chair. "I could say the same about you. I can see the concern in your eyes."

Logan held her gaze for a moment, his smirk never fading. He didn't deny it, nor did he try to deflect. Instead, he let the warmth of familiarity settle in his chest.

He was home again.

And for now, that was enough.
