I rang in 1999 at a house party hosted by Dr. Isaac Clark at his home in Castro Valley.

Vladimir Jariabek and Angus Rickman were also there.

Various snacks were served. We watched some sports on TV. Dr. Clark mentioned that his daughter was at a house party in Pasadena.

It was fun, and far less noisy than Pier 39.

That song "1999" by Prince played on the stereo. I wondered if the lyrics were identical to its version in my birth world.
