Greetings! I know a lot of you are wondering what happened to this fic. While the reviews were mixed, some positive, some negative, that was not why the story was left to its own devices for almost eight years. The last substantial update was late 2018/early 2019. Life simply went on and I had enlisted in the military at around that time. Therefore I was unable to update the story for those wondering what happened. There were numerous times I tried to reboot the series in late 2021 when I finally had some downtime after I got assigned a shore rotation. I even wrote another story, but could not find inspiration to continue the story. Here is the good news. I believe I can rewrite this story. It will be in my opinion of better quality and better characterization than what was written during my junior/senior year of high school. I have since lost the original transcripts for the story, so it would have to be plotted and made from scratch. I will, of course, use what is written on the site as a template for whatever will be conceived. However, this will take time and I am currently writing a story with this one. If you want to see the evolution of writing or what to expect from the rewrite, the other fanfic will help you make a decision as to what you can expect from the rewrite. Rest assured, I have transitioned from active duty military to the reserve side, so I definitely have more time to update the rewrite than the new one. This will be left up for archival purposes, but if you enjoyed reading or didn't I thank you for taking the time out of your day to do so. This isn't the end of Stafford's story, rather it will be the beginning of a new revitalized story in the months to come.
