Wu immediately knelt next to Garmadon, shaking him. "Garmadon? Garmadon!" He felt his forehead, then his pulse. He frowned. This could be from his injuries earlier…but…

He hasn't been eating. How did I not know this? How could I not have noticed?

Wu glanced down at the glass on the floor. He needed to clean that up, too…

I need Misako.

He checked Garmadon's pulse again. It was slower than it should be, and now that he was paying attention, he could see signs of dehydration and starvation in his brother.

He shook his head, teeth clenched. He abruptly stood, leaving the room hurriedly.

It didn't take him long to reach the scroll room. He barged in, not bothering to be quiet. "Misako, I need your help. It's urgent."

She immediately turned around, eyebrows raised in surprise. "What's wrong?"

"It's Garmadon. He passed out."

"What? Why? Is he okay?"

"There's…a lot that happened. I'll explain later, but for now I need you to help me."

"Of course." She hurried over to him.

Wu turned, leading the way back to the kitchen. "Have you ever seen Garmadon eat or drink anything since coming here?" He was still hanging on to a slim sliver of hope his brother had…even though he highly doubted it.

Misako frowned, squinting. "Now that you mention it…no. Though I haven't been around him as much as you have, either."

Wu ran a hand down his face, taking a steadying breath. "I thought as much…"

"Why? What's wrong?"

"He hasn't eaten anything, that I know of, since I found him. And I don't think he's been drinking anything, either."
"What?! But…he's been here for a week and a half, now!"

"I know! I had no idea…"

She sucked in a breath. "Is…he alright?"

"I don't know."

They arrived at the kitchen, and Wu knelt by his brother again. Misako stood, glancing at the glass and then to Garmadon.

"He needs to eat something…" Wu checked his pulse again.

Misako nodded. "Can you wake him?"

"I can try."

"—madon? Garmadon, wake up!"

Garmadon blinked, everything hazy and unfocused. Someone was shaking his shoulder. He stiffened, jerking away.

"Brother, it's just me. It's okay. Are you alright?"

The hand disappeared.

What…? What had happened? Why…why am I on the floor?!

He blinked again, his vision getting clearer.

"Garmadon?"

And that wasn't Wu—

He struggled away, trying to sit up.

"Garmadon, take it slow." Wu helped him sit up.

Garmadon glanced at him in confusion, then at Misako, before his gaze landed on the glass.

Glass… He remembered glass shattering. Then…nothing.

Wait…

His eye widened. Oh, no, no no no—

He'd passed out—

Everything suddenly flooded back to him—his conversation with Wu, Ichor and his gang, the tea…

Wu was suddenly dragging him to his feet, slinging one of his arms over his shoulders. "Come on, brother." He started heading for the bench at the table.

Garmadon stumbled along, finding he couldn't really resist.

Wu helped him sit. "I'll get you some water." He hurried to the sink, grabbing a glass and filling it.

Misako went and got the broom and dustpan, and started sweeping up the glass on the floor.

Garmadon felt himself cringing, and he winced. Great. Now I just caused a mess and a headache for everyone…again… He stared down at the table, picking at his glove.

Wu came back over to him, setting the glass of water in front of him. "Drink this. Slowly, please. I can get you more when it's gone."

Garmadon blinked, suddenly realizing that it was not tea. Wait, why is he giving me water…? He gave Wu a confused look.

Wu gestured to the glass. "You need water. You're dehydrated."

Wait, he knows—

Garmadon stared at the glass. Right. "You're not giving me tea…?" He felt the need to ask anyway, since it was unusual for Wu to give anything but tea.

"No. Water is healthier in this case. Drink it."

Garmadon bis his lip, shrinking lower. He felt like a scolded child. And Wu was always remarkably similar to father.

"Garmadon, please. You need water."

I don't want it. He stared at it for a moment. But Wu continued to stand there, judging, watching—

And so he finally picked up the glass, taking a hesitant sip. He suddenly realized how dry his throat was—

He gulped the glass.

"Garmadon, slowly, I said—!"

It was already gone. Garmadon sheepishly pushed it towards Wu, keeping his gaze lowered to the table. "Sorry…"

Wu took a breath. "It's alright…I'll get you some more." He left to fill the glass again.

Garmadon bit his lip.

Wu returned with the water a minute later, and Garmadon gulped that as well. After Wu got him a third cup, Garmadon managed to slow down, sipping instead of gulping it.

"Now, Garmadon, you need to eat something."

Misako nodded, dumping the glass shards into the garbage.

Garmadon grimaced. "No. I'm fine."

"You haven't eaten anything since you've gotten here." Wu frowned disapprovingly.

"Yes, I have…" he mumbled, gaze hardening.

"What have you eaten?"

"…A rabbit."

There was a pause.

"A…rabbit? Where did you get that?"

"The woods…" Garmadon studied the table, tracing the lines and patterns with his eye.

"Oh…why didn't you just get something from the fridge?"

Garmadon shrugged.

"I said you could…" Wu sounded confused and lost.

He shrugged again.

Misako set the broom and dustpan away, then opened the fridge. "Garmadon, what would you like?"

Garmadon glanced at her, then shrugged again.

"You have to eat something." She looked at him.

He stared at the table again.

Wu walked over to Misako. "He needs something nutritious, not something like pizza, especially after having not eaten anything in a while."

She nodded. "I agree."

"And just a little bit of food for now. Or…it may not stay down." Wu winced.

She nodded again. "There's not much in here…"

Wu stood beside her, looking everything over. "Hmm…well, we have an assortment of leftovers." He started pulling some things out, handing bins to Misako.

She took them, putting them on the counter.

Garmadon watched uncertainly.

Wu then started to heat up some of the food, still in the bins, and set some other food on a plate.

After what seemed like a while, but was probably only a few minutes, Wu took a plate over to him, setting it in front of him. "Eat this. Slowly, please."

Garmadon stared at it. It seemed like a random assortment of food—and it most likely was.

Misako then handed a fork to Wu, who set it by the plate.

Garmadon looked away, fiddling with his glove.

"Garmadon. Eat. You need food in you." Wu tapped the table beside the plate.

He cringed. I don't want to. I can't take anything else, I can't—

"Garmadon, please eat. We're worried," Misako said.

"Brother, please?"

At their stares, Garmadon reluctantly picked up the fork, glancing at the plate again. There were a couple sliced tomatoes, some lettuce, a few blueberries, a piece of sandwich cheese, leftover scrambled eggs, and a little bit of leftover rice. He ran the fork through the eggs uneasily.

"Please eat. We're not leaving until you do…" Wu sat down on the bench directly in front of him, across the table.

Misako sat on the chair at the end of the table, sitting on either side of Wu and him.

Garmadon stirred his eggs for a few more seconds, then hesitantly took a bite. A sudden hunger came over him, and it took most of willpower to not start gobbling the eggs down. He managed to eat slowly, finding himself savoring the flavor.

He started to get even more nervous at the stares of Misako and Wu—both of whom were frowning.

Garmadon swallowed uncomfortably, stirring the rice. "…You don't have to stare at me…" He looked down.

Misako and Wu shifted awkwardly.

"Sorry, brother…we're just concerned." Wu took a sip of his tea.

Garmadon nodded, biting his lip.

Misako looked away, staring across the table and at the wall. Wu kept his gaze on his tea.

Garmadon relaxed slightly. He slowly continued to eat, but almost against his will, he was eventually scarfing it down.

By the time he'd eaten everything and was trying to get every last crumb off the plate, Wu and Misako were staring at him again, this time in even more concern than before.

But he found he couldn't really help himself.

"Brother…I can get you more, if you want…?"

Garmadon stopped scraping the plate clean with his fork, glancing up.

"You don't have to clean it off so meticulously…you can have more, you know…"

Garmadon frowned. I've taken enough, what am I doing?! I shouldn't have eaten this! I deserve to starve! He winced, placing the fork gently on the table. "No…thank you."

Wu rose an eyebrow. "Are you sure…?"
"Yes." He stared down at the plate, which was scraped to near perfection.

Wu frowned, then exchanged a look with Misako.

She shook her head. "At least we got him to eat something," she murmured quietly.

Wu hesitated, then nodded slowly. "Alright…" He stood, and Garmadon looked up as he took his plate and fork, placing it in the sink.

Garmadon frowned, stiffening with anxiety. "Um…I can wash that…" He started to stand, but Misako held up a hand.

"Stay there. Have some more water." She gestured to his water.

Garmadon bit his lip. "Are you sure…?"

"Yes. The ninja will take care of the dishes."

They shouldn't have to…it's my responsibility, I made the mess—

Wu walked back over. "Garmadon, drink the rest of that water. Then you can go rest on the couch."

Garmadon looked at the glass, frowning. He took a small sip, then bit his lip.

Wu and Misako went back to staring at him.

He eventually managed to drink the water. Wu then helped him to the couch and told him to stay there and not move.

Garmadon reluctantly did so, staring up at the ceiling.

Wu returned a few minutes later with a glass of water, setting it on the small table next to the couch. "If you need more water, it's right here. And if you get hungry, let me know, alright?"

He frowned, then nodded—though he had no intention of doing either.

Wu left. He assumed to go talk to Misako.

Garmadon sighed quietly.

They know.

What do I do now? They were figuring things out so quickly recently. He felt like his secret could be revealed any day.

He needed to leave.

But I can't.
