The Dance of Champions
David walked through the tunnel into Undella Town, the beachside town in the Unova region, breathing in the crisp, slightly salty air. He liked the ocean, its ever-changing waves never dull to his traveled eyes, at once placid and deadly no matter where it was, and so full of mysteries despite hundreds- if not thousands- of years of study. These thoughts consumed him as he walked to the bay area, looking out over the briny hills that shifted, rising and falling in moves that were predictable in how they looked but not where they were. Then he looked around to see who else enjoyed the sunny beach, and paused, an eyebrow raised in surprise.
Not too far from him, about a good fifty feet or so, two gorgeous women laid on towels with a large umbrella providing shade for them. But these weren't just any women, he noticed: The first, clad in a black bikini and with her signature long golden hair was Cynthia of the Sinnoh region, long believed to be the strongest Champion in the world, and it wasn't hard to believe, either. Next to her, dressed in a simple white one-piece that smoothly graced her frame was the Kalos-born actress Diantha.
David was surprised to see both women here, as not only were neither of them native here, he also didn't see any paparazzi or rabid fanbase hounding them, though he wasn't about to begrudge them that. It seemed they were just here to relax, something he could understand and get behind. His thoughts were interrupted when Cynthia called out in a slightly chiding and bored tone
"You know, it's rude to stare." David blinked, surprised she'd noticed him from that distance. Though perhaps it made sense as well, and he replied with a smirk
"Sorry, I didn't mean to. I tend to drift off into thought without realizing I'm staring at anything in particular." Cynthia opened a single eye, looking at him with the almost signature silver gaze as she asked
"So, you're not here just to get a peek at any women who happen to be in the area?" David couldn't help smirking at that, telling her playfully
"Tempting, don't get me wrong, but I have a certain fondness of the ocean, which is what drew me here." Diantha sat up, looking him over, then asked
"I haven't seen you before; who are you?" David told her
"I'm David, from the Hoenn region. I'd return the question, but pretty much everyone knows who you both are." Cynthia shrugged, saying simply
"Occupational hazard, I'm afraid." David couldn't help laughing at that, then told them
"Well, be that as it may, I only came here to enjoy the sight of the briny blue. Sorry to have disturbed you, I'll leave you alone now." He was then surprised to hear Diantha call out
"Hold on for a moment." He turned to look at the actress as she spoke quietly to Cynthia, who smirked, which was an expression that made David nervous, for more than one reason. That nervousness only rose as both women stood up, donning sundresses, then approached him to a slight degree, with Cynthia telling him
"My friend here has a passing interest in a random stranger showing up out of nowhere for no other reason than to stare at the ocean. I have to admit, I'm a little curious, too." David told them
"Well, staring at the ocean isn't all that I do." Diantha asked
"Are you a Trainer?" David simply nodded. Cynthia stated
"Then I would like to challenge you." David blinked in surprise, and was further surprised when Diantha added
"As would I." David regarded both women with confusion, then asked
"Is it because I bothered you? Because I apologized." Cynthia grinned, replying
"No, just the whims of Champions. We get challenged all the time; rare is the opportunity we get to challenge someone." David thought about that, then shrugged, figuring it wouldn't hurt.
"Alright, are we establishing any rules?" Diantha asked
"How about two-on-one?" David smirked, and couldn't help remarking
"Wow, you really wanna punish me, huh?" Both women smirked but didn't respond. David shrugged, figuring it didn't matter one way or the other.
"Alright. Anything else?" Cynthia added
"No items." David looked briefly at Diantha, asking
"Including Mega Stones?" Cynthia waved a hand, replying
"Special exception." David nodded, appearing slightly relieved to the two women, which Cynthia found intriguing. Then she asked
"Are you ready?" David nodded and faced them both, grabbing two pokeballs off his belt while both women each grabbed one from their respective purses. Cynthia sent out a Roserade while Diantha sent out a Hawlucha. David sent out a Volcarona and Gengar. Cynthia seemed contemplative, remarking
"Interesting choices… well, let's start. Roserade, use Toxic against the Volcarona!" Diantha commanded
"Hawlucha, Swords Dance!" The Roserade launched a small but extremely potent ball of toxic substance at Volcarona, drenching him with it and badly poisoning him, causing the giant bug to chitter with displeasure. Meanwhile, Hawlucha flexed and increased her strength, presenting herself as a threat. David responded
"Volcarona, Heat Wave! Gengar, Hypnosis on Hawlucha!" Volcarona chittered again and blasted the opposing team with an intense, fiery wave, which severely damaged Roserade, though she managed to hold on, while Hawlucha took a respectable amount of damage. Gengar caught Hawlucha's attention, which was her bad luck, because it meant that she fell under Gengar's hypnotic influence, making her fall asleep. Diantha called out
"Hawlucha, get up!" Cynthia told her Pokemon
"Extrasensory on the Gengar!" Roserade concentrated, distorting Gengar's mind briefly and landing a good hit, causing it to wince in pain. David retorted
"Gengar, Dream Eater on Hawlucha, and Volcarona, Leech Life on Roserade!" Gengar cackled as it turned intangible and sank into the ground before reappearing behind Hawlucha, hands glowing ominously as it touched Hawlucha's head and inflicted damage severe enough to take out the Fighting/Flying type, healing itself in the process. Diantha returned her Pokemon and sent out a large Tyrantrum in her stead. Meanwhile, Volcarona rushed over to Roserade and bit down on the rose Pokemon, draining her own health to replenish his own, which also had the effect of finishing what the Heat Wave started, knocking her unconscious. Cynthia returned her without a word and sent out a Spiritomb, which cackled loudly and ominously. Diantha called out
"Head Smash on Volcarona!" Cynthia commanded
"Shadow Ball on Gengar!" Tyrantrum roared before charging Volcarona, quite literally smashing his rocky head into the Sun Pokémon's body, which while it took down the Fire/Bug type with ease, it also had the unfortunate effect of releasing a puff of flaming scales from the Pokémon's body, which burned Tyrantrum, causing Diantha to groan, upset as David returned Volcarona and sent out an odd-looking orange washing machine Pokemon that proved to be a Wash Rotom. Meanwhile, Gengar was hit by the Shadow Ball that Spiritomb launched at it, but he lived through it. David quickly thought
"I can't use Hypnosis on Tyrantrum because it's already burned, and Spiritomb wouldn't be affected by Dream Eater. Thankfully, I have other tricks." He quickly commanded
"Gengar, Hex on Tyrantrum! Rotom, Thunder Wave on Spiritomb!" Gengar created two balls of ghostly energy that were connected by a thick strong of the same energy. When he threw them, the string connected with Tyrantrum first, then took on a red glow which caused the balls at the ends to move faster before striking Tyrantrum, causing a lot of damage, only added on when Tyrantrum was afflicted by his burn. Rotom buzzed madly before launching a small batch of electricity at Spiritomb, paralyzing it, though Spiritomb didn't react to it. Diantha called out
"Tyrantrum, Earthquake!" Cynthia added
"Spiritomb, Dark Pulse on Gengar!" David watched as Gengar was first assaulted by the tremors of Tyrantrum jumping up and down on the beach, taking it perilously close to unconscious, which was then finished off by the dark twister coming from Spiritomb. David returned Gengar and sent out his Kommo-o, calling out
"Rotom, Hex on Tyrantrum, and Kommo-o, Clanging Scales against Spiritomb!" Rotom created the balls of ghost energy and threw it at Tyrantrum, taking it down, necessitating Diantha to return it and send out her Aurorus next, who let out an echoing cry as he entered the battlefield. Kommo-o aimed at Spiritomb and clashed the scales on his arms together, creating a discordant cacophony of noise that assaulted Spiritomb hard, though at the cost of breaking some of his scales, reducing his Defense. Diantha commanded
"Freeze-Dry on that Rotom!" Cynthia retorted
"Psychic on the Kommo-o!" Aurorus bent his head down and blew a freezing wind at Rotom, which frosted over its body, flash-freezing the water within and causing intense pain. However, electricity crackled over Spiritomb, rendering it unable to move. David grinned and answered back
"Rotom, Electro Ball on Spiritomb! Kommo-o, Close Combat on Aurorus!" Rotom created a writhing ball of electricity that it sent hurtling at Spiritomb, crashing into the Dark/Ghost and took it down, with Cynthia returning it and sending out her Togekiss as a counter to Kommo-o, which was well-deserved, as the Scale Pokemon launched forward and thoroughly assaulted Aurorus. Between his own Ice/Rock typing, Kommo-o's Fighting type, the boost it gained from the move, and the inherent power of the move itself, all combined to take down Aurorus in one hit, causing Diantha to wince and return him, sending out her Gourgeist instead. Cynthia called out
"Moonblast on the Kommo-o!" Diantha commanded
"Seed Bomb on Rotom!" David winced as the large ball of Fairy energy crashed extremely hard into Kommo-o, compounded by the fact that his overall defenses were lessened by the Close Combat, rendering Kommo-o unconscious. Meanwhile, the large seeds Gourgeist fired off crashed hard onto Rotom, and while they didn't quite take it out, it was still much too close for his liking. He returned Kommo-o, then smirked and said
"It's been a while since I've had to bring this one out to battle, so this should be interesting." With that, he sent out what looked almost like a giant cyborg-spider with a large metal X over its face. Cynthia remarked
"A Metagross. That could be problematic." Diantha interjected
"I was expecting the Gengar to Mega Evolve at first, even if it would have been too early, but I understand why it didn't now." Cynthia added
"A Mega Metagross will certainly be a problem." David smirked, telling them
"Actually, you're both wrong. Metagross doesn't Mega Evolve on my team." Both women were surprised, looking at each other briefly before Diantha asked
"But you still have a Pokemon that does Mega Evolve?" David nodded, replying
"I'm sure you'll see it as we go. Now, shall we continue?" Cynthia and Diantha nodded, waiting as David commanded
"Rotom, Thunderbolt on Togekiss, and Metagross, Flash Cannon also on the Togekiss!" The Togekiss in question tensed as she was struck extremely hard by the dual assault and taken down in short order. Cynthia returned her, asking
"Payback for your Gengar, I suppose?" David just smirked, and Cynthia sent out a Lucario in response. Diantha called out
"Seed Bomb again!" Cynthia ordered
"Aura Sphere against Metagross!" Gourgeist flung up the Grass type attack again, pelting Rotom hard and finally taking it down, while Lucario flung the blue ball of aura at Metagross, who was pushed back, but still stood firm. David returned Rotom, then smirked as he pulled up a purple pokeball with two pink spots on it. Diantha's eyes widened, and she asked
"Wait, is that a Master Ball?!" David nodded, answering
"Yes, it is." Cynthia asked
"Then… you have a Legendary Pokemon with you?" David shrugged, stating
"I don't know if it's actually Legendary. The PokeDex didn't say anything of the like, but you're also about to see my actual Mega Pokemon." Both women waited with bated breath and watched as he sent out what looked like a pink crystal fairy attached to a large chunk of rock. Cynthia was wide-eyed, asking
"What is that?" Diantha was equally wide-eyed, responding
"That's a Diancie!" Cynthia looked at her, asking
"What?" Diantha hastened to explain
"It's a Fairy/Rock type Legendary that's almost never found." Both women looked at David as he explained
"I found it while exploring the mountains of Kalos. I went spelunking, basically, and found myself in a large cavern full of Carbink, and then found this one. At first I thought it was a Shiny, but the PokeDex told me it was something else, and I was interested, so I caught it." He smirked, adding
"Imagine my surprise when I found out it could also do this." He held up his arm, which Cynthia and Diantha only now noticed had a Mega Bracelet on his wrist, and tapped the Key Stone held within. Diancie was surrounded by energy, which darkened, appeared to harden, and finally cracked and broke apart to reveal a newly Mega Evolved Pokemon. The Mega Diancie almost looked like a pink chandelier with arms, with flowing ribbons coming off its headdress. Diantha groaned, telling Cynthia
"We might be in trouble." Cynthia, on the other hand, was intrigued by this man of mystery, having shown her a Pokemon she'd never seen nor even heard about. This would require further probing, after the battle. She told her partner
"Well, nothing for it now. We've still got a battle to finish." David nodded, then ordered
"Metagross, Hammer Arm on Lucario, and Diancie, Moonblast on Lucario!" Cynthia's eyes widened as her Aura Pokemon was systematically destroyed by what were evidently David's strongest Pokemon, quickly returning him and contemplating for a moment before sending out her Glaceon. David smirked, asking
"Not sending out Garchomp yet?" Cynthia answered
"With a Mega Fairy type on the field? I think that's a bit too dangerous for my liking just yet." Diantha groaned, realizing she was doubly screwed with her last Pokemon, but decided to keep trying anyway, calling out
"Seed Bomb on the Diancie!" Cynthia commanded
"Shadow Ball on Metagross!" Both David's Pokemon were pelted by the attacks, but appeared relatively fine, especially Metagross with its stellar defenses. He then commanded
"Metagross, Flash Cannon on Glaceon, and Diancie, Power Gem on Gourgeist!" Diancie raised her arms, glowing projectiles launching out at the Pumpkin Pokemon, pelting it hard. On the other side of the field, Glaceon was hit hard by the Steel attack and sent skidding, but managed to pull through, Cynthia retorting
"Ice Beam on Diancie!" Diantha commanded
"Phantom Force on Metagross!" Gourgeist moved back and down into its shadow, disappearing from the field, while Diancie was struck by the ice. David shrugged, retorting
"Diancie, Power Gem on Glaceon, and Metagross, Iron Defense!" Metagross gleamed more brightly as its Defense was bolstered, and Diancie pelted Glaceon with the super effective move, taking it down. Cynthia took a deep breath as she sent out her final Pokemon, her ace, the one who had always helped her when she needed it most: Garchomp. Gourgeist emerged from Metagross' shadow, striking it, but thanks to its increased Defense the move wasn't as effective as it should have been. Cynthia called out
"Earthquake!" Garchomp roared as she slammed a fist-fin to the ground, shaking up the entire "arena", and dealing decent damage to Diancie, less to Metagross, and minimal to Gourgeist. David smirked and said
"Let's even up the playing field a bit. Diancie, Guard Split with Gourgeist, and Metagross, Zen Headbutt on Gourgeist!" Diantha watched as her Pokémon's Defense was cut down by the Guard Split, then rammed into by the Metagross, taking her down. She returned Gourgeist and knew she had a problem from here; she only had a Goodra and Gardevoir left. The Goodra would be weak against Diancie, and Gardevoir would be weak against Metagross. On the other hand, Cynthia was down to her last Pokemon, so if she could help things out by keeping the Diancie distracted… nodding, she sent out her Goodra, calling out
"Fire Blast on Metagross!" Cynthia commanded
"Bulldoze on Diancie!" It wasn't as good as Earthquake, but that would cause too much damage to her teammate, who she needed at her best if they were going to beat this surprisingly strong Trainer. Goodra launched the powerful Fire attack, but unfortunately it missed, since it wasn't very accurate. Diancie was shaken up, taking some damage, and David retorted
"Diancie, Moonblast on Goodra, and Metagross, Rest!" Cynthia and Diantha were surprised to watch Metagross settle down, tucking its legs up against its body as it fell asleep and restored itself, while Diancie struck Goodra hard with the Fairy move. Now it was do or die, and with the Metagross asleep, it couldn't retaliate immediately, which meant they had to take the opportunity to take it down, even with bolstered Defense. Cynthia called out
"Bulldoze on Metagross!" Diantha added
"Muddy Water!" Garchomp rattled the ground beneath Metagross, also lowering its Speed, though that wasn't particularly noteworthy, anyway, while Goodra hit both Metagross and Diancie with the relatively average Water attack. David smirked, calling out
"Diancie, Moonblast on Goodra! Metagross, Sleep Talk against Garchomp!" Cynthia's eyes widened as she exclaimed
"What?!" Diancie slammed Goodra with the Fairy attack again, taking her down and forcing Diantha to let out her Gardevoir, which she quickly Mega Evolved. Metagross rumbled in its sleep for a moment, then stood up and used Iron Defense again, bolstering its already great Defense to more stellar levels. Diantha called out
"Shadow Ball on Metagross!" Cynthia, relieved Garchomp hadn't been hit by that surprise Sleep Talk, called out
"Crunch on Metagross!" Both attacks connected, though with the initially topped up health and additionally topped up Defense, it still stuck around. David took in a deep breath, saying
"Time to clean up. Diancie, Diamond Storm on Gardevoir! Metagross, Sleep Talk against Garchomp!" Diancie held its arms out in front of itself now, and created a large pink diamond which shattered and flew forward, pelting Mega Gardevoir; between Mega Diancie's boosted offenses, plus the same type attack bonus, coupled with Gardevoir's poor Defense meant that Gardevoir suffered a defeat, leaving Garchomp as the last Pokemon standing. Metagross rumbled again, then stood and launched forward with Zen Headbutt, crashing into Garchomp. Cynthia retorted
"Earthquake!" Garchomp struck the ground harder this time, shaking up the arena again, and took down Mega Diancie, which left Metagross as David's last Pokemon, who thankfully woke up. David told it
"Let's put it all on this, buddy; Hyper Beam!" Metagross gathered its energy together and blasted it out as a compressed beam, striking Garchomp extremely hard and taking it down, leaving David the winner, upon which he took a deep breath and let it out, relieved. Cynthia returned Garchomp, surprised, and said
"You just took down two Champions at once. Who are you, really?" David shrugged, replying
"No one special, just travelling around looking for new places and experiences." Cynthia thought about that for a moment, then beckoned Diantha to her, whispering in her ear for a moment. Diantha blushed, asking her something in a shocked whisper, and Cynthia nodded. After a few moments, and still blushing, Diantha nodded, too. Cynthia grinned, telling David
"Why don't we go get our Pokemon fixed up, then we'll take you to show you an experience I'm sure you've never had." David blinked, confused, not least because of Diantha's reaction, but nodded. The three went to the nearby Pokemon Center, getting their Pokemon taken care of, then the women led David to a quaint little villa tucked away in the town, Cynthia opening the door and leading the way inside. David looked around, remarking
"Nice little place you got here." Cynthia told him
"Oh, it's not mine; it actually belongs to a friend who lets me borrow it during the summer, when I need to get away for a while." David grunted, understanding, then asked
"So, I'm a little confused here; what exactly did you want to show me?" Cynthia grinned as Diantha blushed again, and replied
"Well, I know you're not a Champion, because I've never seen you on the roster. Is that right?" David nodded, explaining
"I never really had a desire to become Champion, anyway. It seemed like too much work." Diantha retorted
"And exploring the world and catching and training strong and rare Pokemon isn't?" David smirked, saying
"Touché, but I like it." Cynthia, still grinning, asked
"Well, in all your travels, how much experience would you say you've had with women?" David blinked, surprised by the sudden turn in conversation, then thought for a moment before answering
"Um… not much, I suppose." Cynthia's grin turned into a smirk; it was exactly what she wanted to hear.
"Would you like to change that?" David stood dumbstruck for a moment, until the gears turned and clicked in his head, causing him to blush now.
"With… both of you?" Diantha blushed again, and Cynthia nodded. David was hardly going to turn down such a golden opportunity, but he didn't have much experience with a single woman, let alone two at once. Even so, it was too tempting to resist, so he answered
"Well, how could I say no?" Cynthia smirked and pulled off her sundress, revealing the black bikini again.
"Good. Now, I'm willing to bet you don't have much experience in this particular setting, so let us help you out, okay?" David just nodded dumbly, blushing more heavily, which made Cynthia giggle. She then went to Diantha, encouraging her to pull off her sundress, too, to show the one-piece she still wore. Then both women approached David, making him slightly nervous, until Diantha gently took his face in her warm hands, telling him
"Just relax." David nodded again, and Diantha closed the distance between them, gently kissing him, and it didn't take long for him to kiss back. Cynthia, meanwhile, began by pulling off his shoes and socks, then went up and pulled down his pants, making him blush again, but it was no worse than a pair of swimming trunks, he supposed. She came back up and pulled up his shirt, breaking him and Diantha apart and allowing both women to get a more appreciative look at their newest "toy". He was average height and toned build, thanks to his years of travel and hiking, and wasn't too bad on the eyes as a result. Cynthia turned to Diantha, asking
"You wanna do the honors?" Diantha blushed heavily and walked up to David, asking nervously
"May I?" David, also blushing heavily at this point, nodded his consent. Diantha knelt down, grabbing the hem of his underwear, and pulled them down, leaving his member to spring free from its confines. About five to six inches long and an inch at its widest, both Cynthia and Diantha were left a little weak-kneed. Cynthia took control again, saying
"Well, we had our fun with this; now it's your turn." "Fair enough." David couldn't help but feel triumphant, in more ways than one, having conquered two Champions in battle, and in bed, and let himself drift off as he held them both to himself.
