Gryffindor had won. It would've been exciting considering how close they were to not retrieving the snitch but that wasn't what everyone was talking about. It caught on like wildfire about Brenna fighting off three Slytherins at once and so fast. She didn't want to take away from her friend's victory but getting recognition for putting a couple of bullies in their place felt good to Brenna. That was, until it wasn't.

"I heard from a couple of my students that you were in an altercation with them" Snape sneered the very next day.

"I don't deny it" Brenna said, bravely "Although those three have been terrorizing other Hogwarts students for quite some time, someone had to intervene"

"I don't care about what happens to other students that aren't in my House" Snape commented, "It is up to McGonagall, Flitwick, and Sprout to deal with those as I am dealing with you. I'm sure Beauxbatons doesn't tolerate fighting as well"

Brenna hesitated, "No, they don't"

"I thought as much," Snape said, "Since you fought three people, it only makes sense to take 30 points from Gryffindor for your behavior and detention, Miss Jammal. I believe I am letting you off easy with that one, consider this a warning"

Brenna knew that Snape wanted her to argue with him; that it was unfair and that he should be punishing his own students instead of defending them. But instead, she nodded as if accepting defeat and replied, "Understood, sir"

Snape glared at her before he muttered, "Get out of my office"

"Of course" Brenna nodded, "Sorry for taking time away from your Sunday"

Brenna quickly turned away from the Professor before he could even order for her to come back and punish her more. For what? For being respectful? Still, she wouldn't put it past Snape to do something more to her as she exited his room.

"Brenna!"

She turned and blinked in surprise at Oliver Wood, "What are you doing here?"

"I heard Snape called you to his office" Oliver nodded over to his door as they hurried away from it, "What happened?"

"Marcus Flint and his buddies told on me for putting them in their place" Brenna shrugged, "They couldn't stand that I humiliated them in front of others so I… lost 30 points from Gryffindor"

Brenna hesitated as she wondered what Oliver would say to her after that. He did work really hard for that victory for only a percentage to be taken off of his success for what she just did. She sneaked a glance over to him but to her surprise, Oliver didn't seem to be too disappointed with her.

"Good! Someone ought to do it" Oliver agreed, "The Slytherins think they own the school just because they have a Professor that looks out for them more than the others. That'll also make them stay off of your back"

"Or put a target on it" Brenna mumbled.

"After what happened yesterday, I have no doubt in my mind that you'll manage" Oliver smiled, "I just wish that I saw what happened. I was so focused on the game that I wasn't aware of it"

Brenna shook her head, "It was over before you would've been able to see it from where you were. They didn't put up much of a fight"

"But you did, from what I heard" Oliver Wood said, "Which is what's surprising people"

"Oh!" Brenna let out, "I learned…"

"In Greece" Oliver finished.

Brenna shrugged, "More or less, I picked up on a few stuff along the way"

It dawned on Brenna now that maybe this was the reason why Oliver was waiting outside of Snape's office. He probably wanted to know more about what had happened the day before because he was too busy.

"I'm glad you're alright" Oliver said, "Not a lot of people can get into a fight with Flint and live to tell a tale"

"He doesn't worry me" Brenna scoffed, "It caught him by surprise but it didn't save me from Snape"

Oliver shrugged, "They all tell Snape eventually"

"So! How does it feel to win your first match as a Captain?" Brenna asked, "The party last night was pretty spectacular"

Oliver smiled, "It really was! I thought it was all a dream when I woke up the next day but I figured that was how I was going to feel so I took some precautions"

Brenna furrowed her eyebrows as they finally made their way to the courtyard where it was bustling with students in casual attire.

"What did you do?" Brenna asked.

"I wrote a note saying it wasn't a dream," Oliver smiled.

"Oh, that should have been obvious," Brenna let out a small laugh.

Oliver shrugged, "I must've been pretty out of it if it took nearly a whole day for me to notice your fight. Weasley had to tell me about it"

"The twins were very much disappointed that they didn't get to see it" Brenna nodded.

"Not them" Oliver shook his head, "Percy, he was the one who told me that you were being summoned to Snape's office"

"That's right" Brenna sighed, "The feeling was short lived while it lasted"

"Yeah, well, I don't know what would have happened if they continued to stay there" Oliver said, "Marcus Flint isn't someone you even want to be in the same room with"

Brenna nodded as she kind of realized how this conversation kept going around and around. As much as she found it quite boring that it couldn't go past Marcus Flint or Quidditch, she still wanted to know why. Why did Oliver seek her out or wait outside of Snape's office for her? Oliver went on his tip toes and then his heels as he seemed to be nervous about something. A sudden blush came onto Brenna's cheeks as she glanced around the courtyard, looking for an escape.

"What do you like to do for fun?" Oliver suddenly blurted out.

Brenna blinked, "Many things; I like to collect items, paint, even play quidditch here and there but I'm nowhere near good as you"

"Maybe I can teach you to be better?" Oliver shrugged, "Next year, you might even make the team"

Brenna laughed, "I don't think so… I don't do well with an audience"

"Have you been to Hogsmeade yet?" Oliver suddenly asked, "The town that is not too far from here"

"No" Brenna said, "I was suppose to go with my roommates but Snape interfered with that and I just told them to go ahead without me, plus I have to finish the rest of my catch up homework"

Oliver seemed slightly disappointed since it was barely 10 in the morning and she chose to do the rest of her homework. It pained Brenna to even say it but she had to keep to her studies since it seemed like each week there was another mound of homework thrust onto her. Having a bit of a social life actually was making her not focus too much on the unfinished paperwork that was piling on her desk. But still, it felt like a big gut punch on her part for even rejecting Oliver's offer to Hogsmeade, if that really was what he was getting at.

"If I do things correctly, then I should be available next weekend?" Brenna suggested, "Do you want to show me around then?"

Oliver hesitated, "I scheduled a morning practice on Saturday but I'm sure I can cut the time in half. Our team deserve it"

Brenna smiled, "Great! Thanks, I know how much Quidditch means to you and how serious you take it"

"I try not to make it an obsession" Oliver confessed, "So I'm taking baby steps"

"Then we will keep each other updated on that" Brenna said, "Let's just hope that Snape's detention won't be on the weekend"

Oliver made a pained expression as he said, "Let's hope not but he has this very unnerving ability to seem to know what you're thinking"

"Is that so?" Brenna felt something click, "Interesting…"

"What is?" Oliver asked.

Brenna has heard of a form of telepathy that she wouldn't be surprised if Snape had achieved. She felt something different about the Wizard from the moment Brenna met him but couldn't quite put a finger on it. She wondered if this was the feeling that was making her nervous around him.

"Nothing… he's just a creepy person" Brenna waved off, "And it's a creepy accusation"

"Just warning you, if you haven't figured it out by now" Oliver said, "I better let you go back to the Gryffindor Tower, otherwise, we won't be going into town next weekend"

Brenna nodded, "I hope you enjoy your Sunday better than mine"

"It already is a great Sunday" Oliver smiled as he backed away, "But I'm sure next weekend will be better"

Brenna couldn't help but blush as she gave him a shy wave as he turned around and started to walk in the opposite direction. Her heart fluttered out of her chest as her cheeks burned, wishing that the other girls were waiting for her back in the dormitory so she could tell them what just happened.
