Angel opened his eyes, finding himself alone in the bed. When he'd fallen asleep he had been cuddling with Husk but now Husk's spot was empty. Angel sat up, looking around. He saw Husk standing on the balcony.

Angel got up, walking out onto the balcony. "Mind if I join?"

Husk turned his head and smiled. "Be my guest."

Angel walked to the railing, leaning his back against it. "Why're ya up so early, Husky?"

"I'm usually up at this time. Besides, I like watching the sunrise."

"The sunrise?"

"Yeah. You ever seen the sunrise in Hell?"

Angel shook his head. "Can't say I have."

Husk smiled. "Then you're in for a treat."

Angel smiled, watching the shadows slowly move up the wall.

After a few moments, he felt Husk nudge his arm. "Look."

Angel turned and froze as he looked at the hellish sunrise.

"It's… mesmerizing," Angel said. Usually he would never use that word but there truly was no other way to describe it.

"Not as much as you," Husk said, his voice genuine despite a slight tease.

Angel blushed and laughed. "Aw. You know how much to fluster me."

Husk chuckled and the sound filled Angel with warmth.

"I love ya, Husky."

"I love you too, Angel."

Angel leaned down and kissed the feline demon. He felt Husk lean into the kiss as the sun continued to rise behind them.

This is my favorite one.
