"We are now landing. Please buckle up as the plane starts to land."
An airplane was landing in Japan, the land of the Rising Sun. Right now, the focus is on three boys riding in it. One of them was currently looking outside the window, deep in thought.
He was rather short for his age and wore a yellow polo shirt with a purple collar, and faded blue jeans with red/white sneakers. He had jet black hair with three spikey strands poking out in front and metal grey eyes.
"Hopefully this place won't be any worse than Peach Creek..."
"EDDY!"
A large heavy body suddenly threw itself onto the boy, making him yelp in annoyance as he struggled to pull the offender off.
"GET OFF ME, LUMPY!"
The other boy currently pouncing on his lap was a tall young man with a well-built frame. He wore a green jacket with a red and white striped undershirt, baggy navy blue jeans, and black/white tennis shoes. He had wild feathery orange hair, emerald green eyes, and a distinguished unibrow.
"Ed, please get off Eddy, and Eddy, please don't yell so loud. You're causing a scene."
The voice admonishing the two boys came from the third of their trio. He was of average height and wore a red-orange long-sleeved shirt, black jeans, and light blue shoes. His golden yellow hair was covered by a black ski cap and he had curious sky blue eyes.
"Whatever, Sockhead."
"Sure thing, Double-D!"
These three were Eddy Skipper McGee, Edwin Horace Blazkowicz, and Eddward Marion West also known as 'The Eds'. They were a trio of troublemakers back in their hometown of Peach Creek, Minnesota, and were currently on a scholarship trip to Japan to complete their high school education.
"Welcome to Tokonosu City, ladies and gentlemen. Please leave in an orderly manner. Make sure you have all of your belongings and enjoy your stay"
Taking that as their cue, the Eds unbuckled their seatbelts, got their luggage, and disembarked the plane.
"Well, boys, let's see what new kinds of trouble we can get into!" Eddy smirked.
"Oh boy, oh boy, I can't wait, Eddy!" Ed happily exclaimed. "My pen-pal is gonna be so happy to see us!"
Double-D recently received a scholarship to attend the prestigious Fujimi Academy in Tokonosu, Japan. Ed also received one through his pen pal, who lived there. Eddy tagged along, thanks to his parents' help.
Right now, the three boys had arrived at the airport and were currently looking around for Ed's pen-pal, who had messaged him to say that he would be waiting for the three of them.
"Hey! That you, Big Ed?"
Hearing a young man's voice, Ed's grin threatened to split off his face as he saw a boy the same age as him and his pals who were the same height as him at 6'1. He had brown eyes and dirty blonde hair, was wearing a black muscle shirt and grey slacks with black boots, and was very well-built for his age.
"PEN-PAL!"
Ed ran over and gave the boy a big hug. Eddy and Double-D were momentarily impressed to see the guy wasn't even wincing in pain, in fact, he was hugging back with equal force.
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance in person." Double-D smiled kindly as he and Eddy came over. "We're Ed's friends, Eddward and Eddy. And you are?"
The boy chuckled as he and Ed broke the hug. "Konrad Yuki Barnes. I was named an aunt on my mother's side who I've never met. My mom is Japanese but my dad is American."
"His mom is one of the top scientists working at Umbrella, the biggest pharmaceutical company in the world!" Ed said. "And his dad is a colonel in the US Army stationed in Okinawa, Japan as the Commanding Officer!"
"A very impressive resume," Double-D noted. "My father works as an investigative journalist and my mother is a world-traveling photographer."
"Eh, my parents are pack rats." Eddy shrugged. "But they got a lot of connections that I've learned never to question."
Konrad chuckled. "Well, good to see that Big Ed has got some good friends keeping him company."
"He may give me a hernia but I wouldn't ask for a better pal," Eddy smirked.
"Oh, speaking of pals, I actually have a friend of my own who wanted to tag along," Konrad said. "He should be around here somewhere."
"Yo, Konrad!"
"Right on time."
The person who called out to him was a young man standing above average height with a slim build. He had gray hair and brown eyes and was wearing a black jacket over a white undershirt, black slacks, and black shoes.
"Everyone, meet Hisashi Igou. He's one of my pals over at Fujimi."
"Pleasure to meet ya. Any friend of Konrad is a friend of mine." Hisashi smiled.
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance," Double-D said, shaking his hand.
The five boys headed out of the airport and were now waiting inside the local metro station. Ever since the Eds got there, their eyes were all over the scenes of Japan.
"Man, looks like their first time seeing a big city like this." Hisashi chuckled as he saw Eddy and Ed looking around.
"Well, Peach Creek is quite small compared to Tokonosu," Double-D said.
Konrad chuckled. "It couldn't be that small right."
"When your neighbors are actually your classmates then yes it's small."
With Ed and Eddy, they had just finished sightseeing and now Eddy was checking out the people, grinning pervertedly at how buxom some of the ladies were.
"Awww man, I bet that one has gotta be a D-Cup!"
"Ooooh! She's pretty!"
Eddy looked to who Ed was talking about and saw a beautiful girl with light brown hair going all the way down her back and two stands in front of her like a cricket antenna. She had fiery amber eyes and E-Cup breasts. She stood at 5'4 in height and was also carrying a bag with a staff inside. She wore a green and white sailor school uniform with black knee-length socks and white tennis shoes.
"Hottie alert, baby!" Eddy grinned wickedly as Ed noticed the girl's attention on them now and politely looked away.
"What the hell are you staring at?"
"Wait, wha-"
Eddy suddenly found himself straight-up bitch-slapped by the girl, causing Ed to laugh at his friend's misfortune and catch the attention of the other boys.
"Oh, hey Rei, what's up?" Hisashi greeted.
"Hi, Hisashi." The girl, Rei, greeted. "You too, Konrad."
"Whatever Eddy did, I apologize for his behavior." Double-D sighed as he offered a hand to the girl. "I'm Eddward."
"And that's Big Ed, the Pen-Pal I was telling you guys about," Konrad said as he introduced Ed to Rei. "Guys, this is Rei Miyamoto, a good friend of ours."
"Where's Takashi?" Hisashi asked.
"Eh, he had other commitments with his family right now." Rei shrugged. "I figured I'd catch up with you guys after Hisashi texted me that he was gonna help Konrad pick some friends up from the airport."
The group soon boarded the train. After bidding farewell to Rei and Hisashi as they went to see Takashi, Konrad brought the Eds with him to his house, which is where they would be staying for the duration of their time in Japan.
"This house is just by the Fujimi Academy campus," Konrad said. "Dad and Mom visit when they have days off but right now, it's just the four of us."
"Sweet-looking pad, dude," Eddy smirked before frowning.
"Eddy, are you alright?" Double-D asked worriedly.
"My Bro is teaching at Fujimi. Apparently, Mom and Dad wanted him to put that teaching degree he got to use."
The air went silent. Death cold too; the memories of that fateful day at the amusement park and others playing over in their head.
"Oh, dear." Double Dq quietly muttered.
"Your mean ol' brother?" Ed asked, trying and failing to keep the mood light.
"Wow, sounds like some bad blood," Konrad noted.
"Yeah, my bro is a total dick," Eddy explained. "Lately he's been mellowing out but we still don't get along all that much."
"Well, let's not worry about that right now." Double-D said. "We should take the time to enjoy Japan before we start school soon."
Konrad smiled. "I can't wait to introduce you to the rest of the gang at Fujimi."
That night, the boys got pizza and binge-watched some movies, the Eds all looking forward to what their stay in Japan had to offer.
Knightmare Lord A/N:
Since I can't trust myself to handle a story solo, I'm working on this with Mrotrax. Besides Highschool of the Dead and Ed Edd n Eddy, there will also be stuff from Resident Evil (if the mention of Umbrella wasn't already a clue), Doom, Left 4 Dead, Crysis, Far Cry, Dead Rising, and maybe a few bonus animes and video games in regards to survivors being included in the group.
Mrotyrax has old knowledge of Highschool of the Dead so I'm sure he'll be able to help out with any scenes I get stuck on. Speaking of which, would you like to say anything, buddy?
Mrotrax A/N:
Off to a great start and been meaning to try a 'HSOTD' story. Our collabs usually work well and KML has some great ideas, so be sure to give this and his other stories a try!
Until next time? Stay warm, safe and happy!
