The adrenaline rushed throughout my body as I went to pull my blade out of the rat's corpse, wincing a bit as I saw the chips and cracks in the steel coating exposing the iron body underneath, ' These things are definitely not normal ', I thought to myself. I went to see what I could scavenge from their corpses and the room only to find some leftover copper and silver coins, which isn't what I needed right now, as well as a water pouch, ' Maybe I could put something useful in here?', and a little green seed, ' I remember that I overheard some merchants call it sungrass seeds?.

I wandered further into the sewer halls and along the way I saw some tall grass which wasn't unordinary to see. As I got closer however, I saw two stones hidden at the bottom. Picking them up I saw that they were runic stones, which luckily I could read their inscription, one that created a shock that could paralyse enemies, ' extremely useful, gotta hold on to these', and one that created a flock of magic sheep,' peculiar, but maybe I could find a use for it'. I pocketed them in my satchel as I headed down the corridor to the last room of this sewer level.

As I opened the door I could see two more rats sleeping in a huddle together right next to a supply chest. ' Okay time for a sneak attack then', but of course it's never that easy, as a third rat just ran in from another room, snarling and bearing its yellow teeth, it charged at me. Shifting into a defensive position, I braced for impact as it slammed its hefty body against my blade, chipping it again, I punched it in the nose and then as it staggered back I grabbed its head and slammed it into the ground and stomped it into a gushy mess. The adrenaline rushing through my brain and body as I went and charged at the still sleeping rats, stabbing straight through one of the rat's skull , and pulled out just as the other rat was waking up I slashed at it body, leaving a deep cut in its body, making it scream out before falling to the ground dead.

My heart pounded in my chest, as I went to loot the supply chest finding a gold ring with a little gem on the top as well as a hand axe, which as I went to pick it up I could feel the weight of it strain my body. Seeing as there wasn't anything else coming to attack I descended down, coming out to a decently lit up room with quite a bit of tall grass which I harvested, finding a little gray seed as well as a brown seed which I didn't know what to do with, along with some dew drops which I put into my pouch. Then I walked into the first room, '!', alarms went through my head as I saw the creature before me. There standing on its hind legs almost reaching up to my shoulders was some dog creature with dark yellow fur, matted with dried blood, and with soulless black eyes staring at me. I barely had time to process this new creature before it sprinted at me with saliva foaming at its mouth so I went to block it with my sword, just as I did with the rats, but to my horror it swiped the blade away sending it scatter across the room, to which it know went to claw at my chest digging into the fabric, thankfully not piercing through, to which I managed to use its own momentum against it spinning it over my back and slamming it onto the ground. I went to grab my sword, hoping the creature was knocked out, only to see that the noise attracted some rats to the scuffle,' Time for drastic measures' I thought to myself as I barreled through two rats knocking them down as I picked up my sword and swiftly decapitated the third rat. Quickly, I spun around to face the other rats only to just barely block the fist of the dog creature sending vibrations throughout the blade, 'If his fist does that much to a steel blade I can't afford to get hit by it', I thought, so I quickly rolled to the side causing the creature to run into a wall, knocking him down, I went to my satchel to see if I had something that could help, picking up the little gray seed, but then I realized my mistake, 'Wait? What about th- Gah!? ', the thought was interrupted as I felt a sharp pain in my thigh, dropping the gray seed, looking down to see one of the rats biting down on my pant leg with the other charging in to bite at the other. I went to kick at it only for it to bite down on my shoe hard. I stumbled down in pain but then I felt my hand touch something, the last thing I saw was the plant shining a bright light as I went unconscious.
