It took longer than either would admit to notice the gold rings on both their left ring fingers.

Hermione had the excuse of suddenly being taken to another dimension and time, going in labor in what she though was a fictional character's parlor and then giving birth to her twins.

Erik had the excuse of having a wish said in sarcasm suddenly coming true. His home being invaded. A woman he had never seen before giving birth in the Louis Phillipe room. Then the babies looking like they could be his. Amber eyes were a rarity and yet here they were, their mother having light brown eyes that had a hint of whiskey. And the woman was not afraid of him, even as when he'd seen a sense of recognition when he first caught a glimpse of her.

It was Hermione who first noticed the ring when she woke after birthing the twins and nursing them. She had thoughtlessly transfigured bassinets stunning the man named Nadir while Erik looked on in fascination. She hadn't been wrong she felt magic coming off both of them. Nadir it felt hidden, subtle like she noticed the feel of squib's magic to be where as Erik's was heady and powerful filling the air but also comforting surrounding her like a warm hug. When she woke from her nap she checked on her little ones to find them still napping, quickly she ran some diagnostic scans on them and herself. They were in perfect health, her miracles. For herself she had fared better than she expected, only slight tearing, she could heal with a combo of potions and ointment she had in her bag. She would have to be careful how much she used of her supply, despite there being magic users in the world she found herself she wasn't sure there would be the same resources from her own.

It was as she was using the ointment that she saw the glint of the ring. She finished up before transfiguring her clothes into some house clothes appropriate to the era.

As she investigated her new jewelry, her brow furrowed as she noticed thin script on the edge, it was Latin roughly translating into 'one soul.'

"A soulbond," she whispered. She remembered researching the different kinds of bonds when Fred and her decided to marry. Neither wished the other to perish if the other died, so they agreed they wouldn't have an infinity bond. The Latin words on the rim had been in the Infinity bond description. It was a marriage of two souls, becoming forever entertwined. It only would work with the most compatible of souls, which was judged by Magic.

"Erik." Hermione pursed her lips as she remembered the man, the man she'd only read about, a small hysterical giggle almost escaped her. "I'm married to the phantom of the opera."

As if summoned by her whisper a soft knock came at the door.

"Come in."

The masked man poked his head in, relief in the untensing of his shoulders no doubt for her decent dress.

"I brought some tea, crackers, cheese and meat. I'm afraid it's not much."

He seemed almost bashful. She hadn't expected it from the mysterious man, but she couldn't help but find him kind of cute.

"Thank you, Erik, I'm sure it will be alright."

He nodded before stepping forward and placing the tray carefully on her lap making sure it was stable before letting go.

"I put a dash of milk and one sugar in your tea." His sentenced drifted off as if he wasn't sure what to say.

Hermione gave him an encouraging smile, "Sounds just right."

She glanced at his left hand to see the gold ring gleaming. She glanced to the side and noticed that there was an available chair, "Could you sit for me for a bit Erik, I believe we have much to talk about?"

He tilted his head to the side, his golden eyes gleaming.

"It would seem the fairy left us with a gift." Hermione gestured to his left hand with her own.

He looked down at the ring his eyes widening and then narrowing.

"I read the script on the side it references a rare marriage bond." Hermione gestured towards the bassinets making sure they wouldn't be disturbed by any sound just in case Erik didn't take it well.

His voice deep and soft with an undercurrent of danger. "And what does this intail?"

"It's known as the Infinity bond. Our very souls are bound, if either of us should die the other would quickly follow. In my world those who were bound with age differences the older would live for as long as the younger."

Erik stood abruptly, "Excuse me."

And swiftly left the room.

"Well that didn't go too badly." But Hermione knew she had many discussions in the future with her husband. "Husband." She whispered, her thoughts going to Fred, her eyes drifting to her little ones that would never meet him.
