"Who are you?" she says flatly causing Fang turned to her in eye to eye and she started to take a deep breath
"Uhh... where do I start?" she sighed scratching her head still trying how explained her story. "I've got a few screws loose, but I'm a l'Cie, same as you." she told the Pinkette as she started looked at her confused as well. "Difference being... I wasn't born on Cocoon.. I'm from Gran pulse." Fang clarify her self causing Lightning looked at her a bit shocked. Just like Cloud, Fang was not from Cocoon.
"The 'world below' you all hate so much" Fang said with a slight mocking tone. "My partner and I'd turned to crystal there and gone to sleep, but when we came to, here we were. The reason Cocoon's in such an uproar is the same reasonyou'rehere now, Vanille and I woke up."
"Vanille is Pulsian same as you?" Lightning said incredulousnessly.
"Funny is it? To think a single Pulsian managed ended up to the Cocoon all by herself"

Thinkin the worse what could happend to her Comrade. A few minutes later, she found a group of PSICOM and Guardian Corps Soldier's circleling someone on the middle. Lightning Instantly recognized the figure in the middle.
"Cloud?!" She gasped the sight of her comrade, noticed his huge blade was stained with Blood and his Spikey hair also tained with several blood not from his wound. But it was the blood of the victims he killed.
"YOU MONSTER!" A PSICOM soldier shouted caught her attention "You l'Cie scum! I won't let you get away with this!" The soldier bellowed At Cloud for killed his comrades. Lightning noticed Cloud raised his sword above his shoulder pointed foward to group of Soldiers.
"We gotta helped him!" Lightning was about to jumped from the building where she and Fang been watching him from tall distance. But then she was stopped by Fang grabbing her wrist.
"You only being in his way."
"What!?"
"Trust me, you don't want get to near him right now." Fang told the pinkette paficisly as both of them witnessing what they saw. A single swordsman fighting against a whole army of battlehardened soldiers. In instant, It was Cloud beganing slaughtering them each soldier he faced until there is nothing left of the PSICOM Soldiers. At this point Lightning wasn't sure what would she do right now. Witnessing her Spikey haired comrade fighting with the Inhumane strength he possed, she could heard the cries of his enemies in pain and suffering as the blonde heartlessly killed every one of them. one thing clear in her mind right now, this isn't Cloud that she knew from few days ago. "I can't just sit here and do nothing!"
"Cloud! Stop! that's enough!" Lightning called his name shouting in distance as she began rushed toward the blonde. Who suddenly collapes on his knee. Lightning came to aid the Blonde still panting tried regaining his breath. Lightning could see something odd in his eyes, the once cerulean bright blue eyes of his was replaced by bright emerald Cat-like eyes.
"They gone now... It's okay..."she said softly tried to confort the blonde still strugling to recover. Suddenly after his cold emerald eyes meet with the Pinkette Aqua eyes causing Cloud suddenly snapped himself while his cold emerald eyes starting slowly perished repclaced by his Cerulean eyes once again.
Her eyes meet with his cerulean eyes filled with terror and dreadful realizing what had he become right now, Lifting up his right hand that is trembeling right now for noticed a much of blood stained all over his hand and face.

Once again, Sephiroth's voice echoed in his mind for realizing of what he has done. Just like the time at the Gongaga Reactor when he lost control. "Not while we sitting ducks like this! If you go back there, you be dead before you know it!" Fang snapped back. The Rose Haired Soldier grinding her teeth in frustration unable to accepted the fact She can't bring back Cloud to her side. "This way!" She shouted as Lightning began following her leading her to the alley
A few minutes later, Lightning and Fang found a bridge and they going bellow to hide from the pursuer chasing them across the districts.
"You need to stay calm... you won't able to get him back if you are hot-headed like that." Fang noticed the Pinkette frustration. The pinkette said nothing and pretend to ignored her after for showing much a emotions trying bring back Cloud.
"The blonde guy is tough, you seen what he can do." The wild haired woman said tried to reassuring and causing Lightning pondering in deep tought. What is exactly happened to Cloud in the past and changed him into what he is today.
"Since they looking for us, I say we can kill the time here while they pointlessly busy tried to find us."
"Then explained about yourself." Lightning said flatly "How in the hell a Pulsians able wandered into the Cocoon in the first place?"
"You might want to sit tight. Since we got a lot of time to waste. I supposed I can tell you the whole story." Fang said started sit down near a railing taking a deep breath then tell the whole story about her and Vanille. Lightning listening her story carefully as Fang explained the She and Vanille lost their memories after their long crystal sleep. Looking for Vanille was the only one thing Fang vowed to until her last breath. One thing that Lightning caught of her guard is there is still a glimpse of hope to saved her Sister.
"So you saying Serah can be saved from her Crystal sleep and come back alive?" She said calmly
"Yep. And there is one thing you should know about how your Sister ended up becoming l'Cie." Fang said as Lightning darted her eyes at her narrowed at her.
"We... ummm.. didn't do our job right and messed up." The bronze skinned women said slightly baffled "and it caused her becoming l'Cie. Really sorry about your sister"
Without saying a word, Lightning stepped at front of Fang. Thinkin the cause of Serah ended up as l'Cie and the getting in her way tried saved Cloud, she had enough of it. Without a blink, she slapped Fang's across the face.
"That it?" She said suprised to think caused Serah ended up as l'Cie because of her mistake and she managed got away with it only with Slap across her face.
"You better hope so." Lightning muttered darkly returned to her usual stoicsm. "but whether we're square, that's up to Serah." she turned away crossing her arms firmily
"You sound just like Snow... and the best part of it, he didn't even hit me." Fang scoffed causing the Pinkette looked at her shocked

"Righto, Time is wasting, we better catched up with the Spikey before something worse happened to him. I take the lead." Fang said recivied a nod from pinkette as she taking the lead
desperately tried getting away from Lightning, Cloud find a alley way hoping no one will find him there. Still feeling unstable after what just happened to him. He was nothing but a ruthless beast in front Lightning eyes and afraid he might hurt her the same way he did toward Tifa.

"Leave her Alone!" a voice belonged to Woman presumbelly to be the Child's mother along with the whole citizens of the Palumpolum armed not with firearms and sharps weapons but instead they armed with staffs and pipes. caught off the blonde guard's the little girl stands up and pushes Cloud back and started run toward her Mother.

But then suddenly, a PSICOM Gunship appear at above front of him and turned on it's Huge Search Light at him making him unable to see what's front of him.

Before he could reacted, The Gunship fired a Net from it's door gunner armed with Net Rifle causing Cloud being entagled inside the net and the Gunship started ascending to higher altitude, Unable to reach his sword on his back while being entagled, once again Cloud got caught like before by The Guardian Corps.
Lightning with Fang by following her behind, both of them followed the PSICOM Gunship a Havoc Tank Class Gunship hoping there is a chance that Cloud might be there. But then she stopped and noticed something hanging on the Gunship's belly hull carrying a something on it's hanging net, noticed a shilluote of the Cloud's Buster Sword, her face turned into horror of her comrade being captured by PSICOM.
"No!" She screamed rushed chasing the flying Gunship but few seconds later, the Gunship dissapers from her sight. Causing her fall on her knees.
"Damm it!" She curses landing her fist at the ground, a guilt started to emrages on her spine for letting Cloud got himself Captured by the PSICOM. Her wrost fear on her mind was that he may be public execution of being Pulse l'Cie.
"We didn't make it in time..." Fang curses as well feeling a bit regret. She noticed Lightning still on her knees in guilt.
"C'mon don't be a gloom that easily." Fang said casually as she offered her hand toward Pinkette, without saying a word, Lightning accepted and pulled back on her feet.
"We just have to move on without him from now on." The Pulsian said noticed Lightning sighed in regret.
"Right..." she muttered "let's go, Felix heights is not far from here."
The duo begin continue on their pace heading toward the Felix area, the rendezvous where they supposed meet with Snow and Hope.
Lightning in other hand couldn't stopped thinkin what might happened to Cloud. She wasn't sure if she can also keep Hope safe if She couldn't able saved Cloud as well.
Suddnely, something caught the pairs attention. A large Aerial Mech flying above at a distance. Appears to be a Subjugator Mech causing a scene at the Felix courtyard. Shocked by the scene, Lightning noticed it was Hope standing on his ground alone agaisnt the behemoth Machine alone and started assuming worse for the Snow. The pairs began rushed to the young boy to aid him the battle.
"Not bad, Kid!" Fang bellowed praised the boy.
"Where's Snow?" Lightning looking around fearing the wrost
"He's okay!" Hope answered as she noticed the unconscious Snow lying at the distance.
"Sure you're up to this?" Fang asked drawed her Spear
"I'm done holding back now." Lightning growled drawed her Blazefire saber and began charging toward the Mech. The mech used it's front legs tried stomped the Rose-haired fighter, as she swiftly dodge it's attack, she leap at left side of it's right arm and began cripled it's with her sword.
Fang with her Spear moving at it's rear flank by charging at the mech and then she slide bellow it then back on her feet, she leaped in the air and landed at the top of the mech with her spear pierce trought it's weak point.
With the mech had taken so much damage, Hope begam chanelling his magic power and casted a Thundaga spell at the mech, causing it electrified and then the internal modules of the Mech began gone up in flames and exploded. The trio had won the battle and sighed in relief that they are survived.
Lightning turned to Hope with a suprised look on her face as he held out her Survival Knife that she given to him to keep him safe.
"Umm... Operation Nora didn't worked out." He said sheppishly as Lightning took the knife. Suddenly, in blink of eye, she pulled him in warm Hug as she could feel his shoulder that shocked by her action.
"You'll be okay..." she said quitely "I keep you safe" she feeling relived that her younger comrade saved. But most important is. His will of revenge has completely gone.
"I-- Me too. I'll try to watch out for you too." the boy said as Lightning released his shoulders and smirked at the boy sentance then began poked his forehead as both of them started chuckled in relief. But then suddenly, the relief moment was replaced with confusion as the boy noticed someone else isn't here.
"Light? Where is Cloud?" Hope asked started feeling the tense as Lightning didn't said anything but only what she can do just shaked her head in shame. He noticed her hand reached the other of her arm begining trembled.
"No... I-It can't be!" He whezeed disbelief "Tell me that you still haven't found him yet."
"Let her go, Kid." Fang sighed as she already carry Snow by wrapping her arm on his waist and letting his arm around her neck. "She already had a very rough day. I tell you the whole story once we at your place."
"Sure..." the boy sighed and nodded "My home is not far from here, this way." He lead the group as Fang still carried Snow. The atmosphere was tense after knowing Cloud didn't made all the way here as planned.

"These are the people who keep me saved all the way here. if you don't mind, we'd like to rest here for a while." Hope said tried convinced his father that his friends are not dangerous.
"Sure. come, before anyone else noticed us." Hope's father quickly whispered offered the group a shelter to hide from the millitary. Fang lead the Unconsiouss Snow toward's Hope's room.
Few hours passed, Hope and his Father on the living room as Hope told what happend to his Mother tragically killed durning in the Purge at Hanging Edge. Lightning leaned at the frame of the door betwen of living room and dining room listening the conversation between the father and son. She decided to go back to Hope's room. To checked the wounded Snow lying on the Bed accompanied by Fang as she leaned om the wall of the room.

"I guess." Lightning sighed still feeling a mess on her head after the Today's events.
"Figures. things will be better if that blonde guy didn't let himself being caught by Sanctum." Fang sighed as well in regret.
"Hey Fang..." Light called as she recivied a confused look from Fang "Do you think the other's are safe?" She muttered
"Is this about Spikey?" Fang assumed
"Well... sort of." The pinkette sighed. Taking a lean at the desk near the bed where Snow lying.
"It's quite possible they make an announcement, they need to let the people know that the Pulse threat had been taken care of it." The woman in blue dress explained "these Cocoonian people are type are bunch of cowards and blowhards, they will think twice before they knew what they dealing at."
"These 'Cocoonians' almost spent their whole life in every centuries under Fal'Cie law, in constant fear of a Pulse invasion" Lightning remembered of her realization from Cloud words of being the puppets of the Fal'Cie. It's true she spend a whole life became a tool for the Fal'Cie. "If it wasn't for Serah, I'd have been out there too. hunting l'Cie…would have been nothing but targets to me."
"Well, This world is just messed up the further more you know." Fang scoffed and sighed taking a sight at night sky throught the window "what's the deal with the Spikey anyway? After what happend in the Purge, the guy is quite famous for slaugthering an entire PSICOM's Trackers." The woman said eager to know something about Cloud. "I'm with you on that." Fang stands up amd began stretching herself. "I'm going get some fresh air. Look after the big guy." She said leaving the Rose-Haired woman alone waiting Snow wakes up. "The hell?" Lightning muttered in confusion. Wishing she is not starting crazy after what all happends to her. She blinked and shakes her head and then the black hodded figure has dissapaers.
"What the hell was that?" Her spine started shivered after the figure appears before her had compleately dissapears
Snow regain his conciousness causing him a slight cough came from his lungs. Lightning turned around as she saw the man tried to stand up from the bed.
"Hey... Lay down." She said softly and takes a seat at the chair near the bed.
"All right." Snow said half Jokingly noticed Lightning hold a Knife given by Serah. "Huh. I see you took the kid's toy away."
"He gave it back to me." Light replied calmly. "Said he didn't need it anymore."
"Figures." Snow replied remembered when he was with Hope. The boy was obsessed with vengance toward him. But it was gone as the boy choice not willing to do it.
"It was to much..." she says as she started trembled as Snow started looked at her confused "What happened to Serah and Cloud, All I could think about was, 'What could I have done?'" She said bowing her head in shame.
"I'm the one caused Serah ended up becoming l'Cie. and I'm the one dragged Cloud into this mess.. none of this will ever happened if I listened to Serah in the first place." Snow started scanned the room looked around as he realized by the look of the Lightning's expression, Cloud isn't with them.
"It hurt too much. I couldn't face it..." she whispered softly holding the knife with the blade flipped inside the handle and start pressing gently at her chest. Feeling a full of regret of her actions and also how she treat Snow before.
"Look, Snow." She said as her words startted baffled "I... I'm sorry, forgive me."
"For what?" He questioned as he slowly tried to get up, looked at her confused.
"Everything." She said quitely and turned around to hide her weakness from Snow.
"If you told me your real name, I suppose I could." He smirked mischievously.
"Not gonna happend." She said recovered from her softside into her soldier persona of her once again "But I let Serah tell you-- when she comes back." She grinned starting feeling a relief.
"Deal. And Light, About Cloud, What is excatly happend to him?" Snow asked "I mean, I saw you and Hope with him. But where did he go?"
Lightning shakes her head in shame and began explained the whole story how She and Fang unable to saved Cloud from PSICOM.
"Damm..." he said whispered in regret asked such a question. "Well, once I got better, I helped you to find him. Besides, you two are alike." Snow grinned

Lightning decided head towars the living room as well find Hope with his father sitting on large Sofa and find Fang leaned at the chair's handle with her hands crossed. People who've helped you, bumped to you... sometimes it's even just people who've walked by one of you. Theh think they're 'tainted' and want every one of them Purged."
"The Sanctum's a puppet of the fal'cie!" Snow stands up bellowed "to them, our lives don't mean anything at all. We will stop this. Take down the Sanctum, and save Cocoon." Snow pumped his fist but Hope's father sighed in disagreement of Snow's plan.

Lightning concured the scenario and earned a nod from Hope's father.
"So, what then?" Fang suddenly snapped stands up "we're supposed to just smile and eat bullets? That goes to you too, Mister."

"I see... so the spikey blond haired man with the huge sword is also friend of yours. He is all over the news that realated to Pulse threat. But I think you should find him as well to dealt this l'Cie thing. You're going need a help you can get." Hope father said
"The thing is, we don't have any Idea where they gonna take him. We just need somekind a lead to him. Any intel from the PSICOM about Cloud wherebouts." Fang reminded then suddenly the electrecity of the house died causing the room into pitch black. Lightning stands up holding her Blazefire Saber handle and suddenly, the glass of the ceeling began shattered and pairs of smoke granades landed from the windows at the ceelings slowly turned the room engulfed with thick smoke screen.
"Heads up!" Lightning barked swiftly scanned the whole room and then she noticed pairs of PSICOM trackers breached the room and then Fang took down one of the tracker as Lightning swiftly swing her saber toward the Soldier.
"Snow, You're not ready for this!" Hope rushed at Snow who was coughing wheazingly tried to stands on his feet. "Help my dad, Snow. I'm counting on you." Snow said nothing and then nodded giving the boy handshake as it like they are best friend now.
"Leave it to me. Come on!" Snow shouted pulling Hope's father with him toward another room. suddenly a PSICOM tracker appears behind the boy, but thankfully. Lightning who already hold her Saber in gunmode took down the Tracker behind the boy.
"You okay?" Lightning asked as Hope nodded
"I'm good. Not single scratch." Lightning let out a relief sighs.
"We're surrounded, They got us in the net." Fang says quitely looking at the window slowly.
Fang slowly peeked at the window noticed a full of armed PSICOM soldiers pointed their rifles at the home.
"who ordered the battalion." Fang says sarcastically
"They'll take out the whole building next." Lightning said and then noticed Snow and Hope father's at the door frame toward another room. Giving them a hand signals to come as both of them joined them at the rear
"Dad!"
"Hope!"
The father and son hugged eachother in relief
"Thank goodness! Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine. How about you?
"Still in one piece." The man replied as Hope breathed in relief and looked as Snow giving him appreciation nod. Snow crawled peeked at the window noticed fully armed soldiers waiting for them with their rifles aimed at them.
"That some crowd. My turn." Snow slowly stands up recivied confused look from Lightning and Fang. He removing his shirt and trenchcoat leaned at near window and using his coat as decoy causing the soldiers at the outside opened fire.
"Don't shoot! I'll show you what a l'Cie look like." Snow bellowed as the soldiers stopped firing their rifles. Slowly reveal himself with his hands up
"Me! I'm a l'Cie! Suprised? Expected some kinda monster? I'm flesh and blood like you! An ordinary citizen of Cocoon! Don't you get it? This has been our home pur whole lives! How could we even think about to destroying it? We want to protect this place just as much as you!" Snow bellowed finished the speech causing the soldiers started baffled. Almost all of them hesitated at his words.
"YOU LIAR!" One Soldier bellowed roared at him "You are the same as a blondie man with the huge sword! He killed my friend and my comrades! And now you telling me that you on our side?! LIAR! YOU L'CIES ARE NOTHING BUT MONSTERS!" in the Soldier shouted as the other Soldier began pointed their rifle once again.
But then suddenly, in blink of eye someone throw out a smoke granade causing the Chaos inside the smoke as the huge gunship behind them suddenly was shot out of the sky by another gunship.
"Get back Snow!" Lightning barked as Hope lead him behind the cover near his house With Lightning and Fang head on with the Gunship slowly touched down at the platform, suddenly the ramp of the ship came down revealing a PSICOM soldier walked down from the ramp
"Hey Fang." The soldier removed his helmet reveal to be brown haired man "need a ride."
"You damm show off. Don't get cute." Fang snapped playfully "right.. let's move in guys. We gotta leave this place before their gonna lock us in." The man said as the group nodded. Lightning noticed find Hope who still talked to his father saying goodbye and then hugged him tightly
Another momments later, he joined the group boarding the gunship toward the endless night sky. Lightning watching the Palumpolum from the dinstance noticed the city had gone up in flames of riot. One thing she could think off, another Purge will be commenced by the PSICOM after the world know the presence of the l'Cie at the city, causing her a shiver on her spine. Then her mind changing toward Cloud. what would the PSICOM gonna do to him after he was captured?
Cloud slowly opened his eyes and find himself in a empty room. Noticed the room was made of heavy solid steel, noticed a door presumably his only way out.
Suddenly, he noticed there is a window lead toward other side of the room. Assuming himself this is nothing but a intterogation room.
"You finally awake." He spun around after noticed a loud elder man voice . "Allow me to introduce my self. My name is Galenth Dysley" he said formally
This is it, Galenth Dysley himself decided to show himself before Cloud.
"You seem doesn't a bit suprised. Seems you already know who I'm."
"The hell you want with me? And how hell I'm still alive?" He asked a bit suprised that he still alive when he was unconsiouss assuming they will kill him.
"My child, killing you will be meaningless, it was never my intention. You are the key to make my wish come true."
"Cut the bullshit." Cloud growled viciouly "I'm a l'Cie, I'm nothing but a freak thanks to your twisted Fal'Cies." Cloud snapped back "I'm not going bowed my head to that things and either you."
"Is that so? Perhaps you would do anything for her?" The door opened and Cloud eyes went wided. A brown haired woman in pink dress and a ribbon tied on her hair.
"Aerith!" Without hesitation, He rushed to the flower girl embracing her in his arms
"Cloud...you here..." she murmuredly hugging him tightly "I'm so glad you are here." She said softly burried her head on his shoulder
"I won't let you go... I won't." He whispered back then suddenly, She started fade away in light slowly dissapeaers.
"No! Aerith don't go! Come back!" Cloud screamed
"So perdictible... so she was the one you cared so much, and now she is gone because you failed to protecting her... tell me, how would you gonna live knowing that happened?"
Dysley voice echoed on Cloud mind as the blonde still standing like a statue. Remembering the momment Aerith was pierced by Sephiroth's blade. He began trembled in full regret for not able to saved her. The blonde dropped in his knees as his body began trembled shakingly and then tears started to streamed down across his checks and letting out an emotional cry in pain and regret.
"I never blamed you Cloud, not once. You came for me, that's all that matters."
Author's Note: Kept you waiting huh? Well folks once again really sorry for the delay, I really wish had more time to spend writting this story. But that also doesn't mean I'm going to left it unfinished. It will be completed but I just need a lot of time
just want to let you all know that.
Just in case for those wondering about Whispers in XIII universe, yes Lightning can see the Whispers back in Hope's home. So I decided bring them in for every decisions that Lightning make. Soo combined with my headcanon how the Whispers got in XIII Universe. It was when durning when Cloud gave Black Materia to Sephiroth and then the dreamworld scene when Sephiroth told about Multiverse to Cloud. Maybe that's the best way to explained how the Whispers got ended up in XIII Universe
I'm actually really excited and now Cloud already face to face with Dysley and he began messing around with him by transforming into Aerith. Dysley is such underatted villain imo.
