Here we go episode 5 where we're introduced to The Vulture or in our stories case, the Mandibuzz

Gotham 99 Season 1 Ep 5 Part 1
The Mandibuzz
We open at the 99 Precinct where Uzi goes to her desk and sits down and looks to J who was sitting at her desk and Vaggie who was near J's desk.
"Hey, you guys see the dude I brought in today... The drug dealer?" Uzi said with a smile "81 years old. I think it's the oldest collar of my entire career that is of human years"
"I once arrested a 96-year-old for flashing." J said then adds shuddering "I was terrified he'd die in my backseat... Or flash me." Uzi winces at the thought of that happening.
"My oldest collar was 78, but the PCP made her fight like she was 20." Vaggie tells them
Grif was passing by and overhearing the conversation asked "What about two 50-year-old twins? Does that count as a 100-year-old?"
"No good." J said shaking her head
"No" Uzi said shaking her head. It was a good question but sadly doesn't count as 100 years old.
N arrives smiling and overhears what their talking about and said "You talking oldest bags? 68." He puts his stuff down at his desk.
"That's not that old." J told him.
"Yeah, but I was only 20." N explained.
"20? Were you even a cop then?" Uzi asked confused.
"No, man, it was before I got into the academy." N tells them
Everyone looks confused but Vaggie grins understanding and tells them "N isn't talking about his oldest arrest."
"Ew!" Uzi, J and Grif all let out realizing he was referring to his oldest bag in the in bed kind.
"No... yes, I am. Yeah, oldest arrest... 68, like I said." N said quickly to try and save face realizing he messed up reading the situation.
"Robot God, you slept with a 68-year-old when you were in your 20s?" Uzi asked him
"You know how it is. When you have a chance to bed an older woman, you..." N said awkwardly while J, Vaggie and Grif listen to this conversation.
"No, that is not an older woman. That's an old woman! That's someone's grandma!" Uzi tells him.
"She was, actually. That's how I met her. Went to college with her grandson Charlie." N said and J, Vaggie Grif and Uzi recoil in disgust or laugh at this "Don't... don't knock it till you try it. She had a replacement hip with some serious torque. It was like having sex with a Go-Bot."
"No. That is no one's fantasy." Uzi tells him amused.
99th Precinct, Morning Briefing, 8:30 AM
The Detectives of the 99 were gathered having their briefing on new and ongoing investigations. Moxxie was conducting the meeting while Vrak observes.
"Doorman…. Where are we on the Gatewater place murder?" Moxxie asked Uzi.
"Well, like I told Captain Vrak earlier this week, we are at the one-yard line." Uzi said smiling "It's a football reference."
"Yes, Uzi. I played linebacker at the Greed Ring." Moxxie told her.
"Really? In High School, I played center field in the musical damn Yankees." N said proudly.
"Yeah, you don't want to brag about that" Uzi told him
"Doorman, you want to loop everyone in?" Vrak said to Uzi.
"Ehhh…" Uzi said shaking her head
"That was not a request." Vrak told her.
"Fine." Uzi grunts and gets up to front saying "Get ready for some stuff on a screen. Meet Lucius Malfoy…" She shows on the TV was a man with long blond hair. Prominent citizen, lawyer, corpse. Now meet his wife, Narcissa Malfoy." The TV shows an older woman with white hair. "She did take his last name, but I believe she also did take his life."
"Nice." N said smiling.
"Thank you, N." Uzi said to that and continue "Now, Narcissa had means, motives, and opportunity. I just need to find the murder weapon. For some reason, the D.A. won't move forward with the arrest until we find the knife she used."
"Is that reason that they want to win the case?" Vrak asked her.
"Yes" Uzi said nodding.
"Well find it." Vrak told her and explained "The family's close to the mayor, and I'm catching heat from the higher-ups. I'm gonna ask you again. Do you need any resources or personnel?"
"No, sir, I've got it." Uzi told him confidently.
"Okay, dismissed!" Vrak said and looks to Moxxie "Sergeant Moxxie, my office."
"Uh-oh. He probably wants to talk to you about how your shirts aren't tight enough probably." Lizzy said with a smile and Moxxie looks at himself confused as he leaves the briefing room.
A bit later J and Vaggie approach Uzi who was at her desk. The former asking Uzi "Okay, how can we help? What do you need?"
"I need nothing." Uzi told them "I'm about to solve this case, meet the mayor, and sell my life rights to Metal Surge so she can play my less attractive sister in the ensuing film."
"Come on, Uzi, Vrak said to use the whole team. We all want this solved." Vaggie said picking up one of the evidence photos.
"I appreciate the offer, but I work best alone..." Uzi tells them taking the photo back. "Except when it comes to making love. Actually, sometimes including making love."
J sighs shaking her head and said "Will you just let us help?"
"Okay, fine. I will let one of you help me...N" Uzi said pointing to N.
"Yeah!" N said smiling and laughing happily
Uzi then explained "And I am choosing N because he's the least likely to steal my thunder."
"I would never steal his thunder. I-I'd be afraid to borrow it." N said with a chuckle
We then come to Vrak's office as he sat at his desk while Moxxie comes in.
Vrak motions to the chair opposite his desk and tells him "Moxxie, I'd like you to accompany me to a gun range."
"You mean drive you there and wait outside... Far away from the guns." Moxxie asked hopeful.
"I spent eight years in the public affairs office, so my tactical skills are a little rusty." Vrak explained "I need some pointers."
"Sir, I haven't fired a weapon since the incident." Moxxie tells him.
"The mannequin incident... I'm familiar." Vrak said nodding
We briefly flashback to said incident where Moxxie screams in fear and opens fire on a mannequin until he was out of bullets before we return to the present.
Moxxie embarrassingly admits "Actually, there was an incident after that."
"Another incident?" Vrak asked.
We flashback to that where we see Moxxie and Uzi now in a birthday supply store. Moxxie screams and open fires on a Piñata destroying it until he was out of bullets again.
"You got to cool it, man." Uzi said sighing. She then smiles and said "I'm gonna get some candy."
We return to the present.
Moxxie stands up and tells Vrak "Sir, I may not be the imp for the job."
"You used to be the precinct's champion marksman." Vrak told him and adds "I only want to take pointers from the best. So I'll keep it low-key. We'll go after work to a private range. No cops, no pressure."
Lizzy then comes round the corner entering the room with her hands making a finger gun and she loudly says making Moxxie jump "Blam! Blam, blam! Gun range." She laughs.
"I told Lizzy she could join us." Vrak added
"I wanna get certified." Lizzy said smiling "There has been a ton of crime in my neighbourhood, and the cops in my precinct are very bad."
"You live in our precinct." Vrak points out.
"Yeah, I know." Lizzy said nodding much to Moxxie's confusion.
We come to the Gatewater Hotel, where Uzi and N were questioning the doorman Protical Droid.
"I know we've gone over this before, but I have to ask you again." Uzi said to him "Is there anywhere you can think of in that hallway where a knife could be hidden?"
"Well, since I've already told you, like, three times, no, why don't I just record it? Then I don't have to say it again." The Protocol Droid said and starts recording on a separate tape recorder saying "The hallway, like all other hallways, does not have a secret knife-hiding place." He stops the recording and asked "All right, you want to hear it again?"
The droid plays the recording but it instead said "Idea for a novel... A mild-mannered doorman droid gets bitten on the private region by a radioactive spider and becomes the world's greatest lover." The droid quickly stops the recording while Uzi and N chuckle amused.
"No, don't stop it. I want to hear what happens." Uzi asked grinning
"This is terrific." N said chuckling.
The Protocol Droid sighs and says "He saves the first robot lady, if you must know."
Uzi nods holding in her mocking laugh and said "Sounds compelling."
The two then begin to talk to the neighbors in the building as N knocks on the door for 607. The one who answers was an old lady and she was very naked. "Oh boy…" Uzi said looking away while N looks up to not look at her.
"Well, hello. I heard you lot were making the rounds again." The old lady said with a smile.
"All right." Uzi said clearing her throat and pats N's shoulder "This one's all you, tiger." She quickly leaves
"Come on!" N said very uncomfortable.
Uzi goes to door 610 and knocks on it and said "Police!" As N rejoins her a lady answers the door, she was wearing an oven mitt and carrying a baby. "Hey, ma'am."
"Thank God! Here, hold this." The lady said sighing in relief and hands Uzi the baby who starts to cry "The lasagna's burning."
"What? Oh. Okay." Uzi said as she held the baby.
A dog barks and runs out of the apartment and runs down the hall. The lady calls out "Get the dog, but don't let it touch the baby!" N goes after the dog as the baby cries.
Uzi's phone rings and she answers saying "Oh. Okay. Doorman."
"Yo, I looked at the photos of your victim on your desk." Vaggie said who was the one who called her.
"Is that Vaggie? Tell her I said hi." N said smiling as he arrives back carrying the dog.
"The puncture wounds are similar to a case I had a while back." Vaggie explained "They aren't from a knife. I think it's something spiral, like a corkscrew."
"Shh, shh, shh, shh." Uzi said to the baby in her arms trying to calm it down.
"Don't shush me. I'm helping you." Vaggie said thinking that was directed at her.
"No, no, I'm holding a baby. That was actually very helpful, thank you." Uzi explains to her.
Vaggie's eyes widen as she sees something concerning and says to Uzi on the phone "Uh-oh. You better get back here. Now."
Uzi and N arrive back at the precinct and look at Vaggie confused, she stands up and points over at Uzi's desk. She then sees the problem, sitting at her desk was the last person she ever wanted to see. He was a man with long blond hair, wearing a fancy blue suit with purple tie and wore glasses who was shining his own shoes. He was Kristoph Gavin who works in the Major Crimes Division of the Gotham PD but he was infamous in the other departments that made people not like it when he shows up.
"Oh! Hello, Doorman." Gavin said with a smirk.
Uzi groans annoyed and said "No, no, no!" She begins to storm to Vrak's office with N following
"I don't know why you're so upset, drone." Gavin said to him "I'm the one who had to come to this backwater stink hole." He looks at N and said "What's up, little man?"
"What's up?" N said as he keeps walking while looking at him to act tough.
"Feeling sexy? Huh?" Gavin asked him
"Yeah, I feel sexy." N said in response
"Yeah, you look sexy, man." Gavin told him.
"You know I do." N said but stumbles a bit at the doorway as he was going into the office.
"Watch out for that door." Gavin said and chuckles. He looks over at Moxxie and asked "Yo, how much you bench, seriously?"
In Vrak's Office, Uzi said to the Captain "Captain, please, please, pretty please do not let him take over my case."
"Major crimes is stepping in. Nothing I can do." Vrak tells Uzi simply "You're off the case."
"I can't believe you're just rolling over and giving my murder away to the Mandibuzz!" Uzi said in disbelief.
N then explained "We call him The Mandibuzz because he swoops in and solves cases that are almost solved and takes the credit for himself."
"Yes, N, I put that together from context." Vrak states then explains "First of all, major crimes has jurisdiction over any and all cases they want to take. But more importantly, you're the one who insisted on working alone. I told you for weeks to use the squad, and you refused."
"I used them." Uzi said and explained "I mean, Vaggie's the one who figured out the corkscrew. And N caught a dog."
"Oh, congratulations, Detective N." Vrak said to him and N smiles proud. "You should've involved him sooner. Turn over your files to Detective Gavin."
"Sir, call him The Mandibuzz. Giving him a name makes him human." N told the captain.
"Turn over the files." Vrak ordered firmly.
"Fine. But in protest, I'm walking over there extremely slowly." Uzi said and begins to walk extremely slowly to the door. N moves out of the way for her "Thank you." After a few more steps she stops and says frustrated "Bite me! This is so boring!"
"For the both of us." Vrak tells her.
We then come to Uzi's desk where Uzi reluctantly hands over to Gavin the files on her case.
"You know, before I solve this case, I'd like to thank you for doing all the super-easy work, you know, the real Nancy Drew-level stuff." Gavin said proudly.
"Oh, yeah? Did Nancy Drew solve a lot of murders?" Uzi asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, she did…" N said nodding as Gavin points to him "Murder on lce, Recipe for Murder. Nancy was a wonderful Detective. I wanted to be her when I grew up."
"Thank, N. That's helpful." Uzi said annoyed and sarcastically.
"Hey! Should we take odds on how fast I'll solve this case?" Gavin asked smirking
"Nope!" Uzi said to that.
"I mean, what was it with Diaz's last "impossible" extortion case? What was it, six hours?" Gavin said thinking.
"That's because it was 98% solved." Vaggie told him.
"The last 2% is the hardest to get. That's why they leave it in the milk." Gavin told her seriously.
"What?" Uzi asked as she and Moxxie were confused by that.
Gavin sees J walking by and said "Oh! Wow! Looking good, J. You foxy drone."
"Go rot in the abyss." J told Gavin with a fake smile, then told Uzi "This is your fault."
Gavin takes the files and said to Uzi "Thanks, champ. Good effort. I got it from here. And, hey, you feel free to call me anytime you need me to come down here and help powder that shiny metal aft of yours" he then smacks her behind before walking off.
Uzi groans from that and said annoyed "Well, that's the worst thing that's ever happened to me."
Well that is bad, Uzi lost her case but also Moxxie has to attend a night at the gun range with Vrak and Lizzy.
