Synopsis

Maria gets kidnapped for ransom in exchange for Gerald's chaos emerald. Shadow comes to the rescue.

Scene: Training Room

(Shadow is holding a chaos emerald while looking at a glass window. Gerald and Maria are behind the glass window.)

GERALD

(Voice only.)

Alright Shadow, let's have you test your powers using the chaos emerald.

SHADOW

Yes professor.

(Shadow focusses all his energy.)

CHAOS CON-.

(Energy explodes and Shadow lets go of the chaos emerald, and then he hits his back on the wall.)

GERALD

(Voice only.)

Shadow, are you okay?

SHADOW

I'm fine, professor.

GERALD

(Voice only.)

Let's take a break for now.

SHADOW

No, let me try again.

GERALD

(Voice only.)

No Shadow. I will not have you go into a coma again.

MARIA

(Voice only.)

Please Shadow. Do it for us. For me?

(Pause.)

SHADOW

Alright Maria, I'll stop.

MARIA/GERALD

Thank you, Shadow.

Scene: Hallway

(Shadow and Maria are there.)

MARIA

Good job today. I know you'll get to use chaos control soon.

SHADOW

I sure hope so. The doctor says with me using the chaos emerald, I do good to the world.

MARIA

That you will. I can't wait until that time comes.

(She blushes.)

So, I was wondering if you would like to go swimming with me at the swimming pool?

SHADOW

Sure, but only if you teach me how to swim.

MARIA

You got it. Meet me there in half an hour.

SHADOW

You got it.

(Shadow runs very fast as Maria smiles.)

Scene: Maria's Room

(Maria is wearing a blue bikini swimsuit. She is looking at her mirror, playing with her hair.)

MARIA

I can't wait for our first date. I wonder if Shadow will ask me to be his girlfriend? I would like that very much.

(Maria laughs a little. Dr. Nigel (wearing sunglasses) appears behind Maria and chloroforms her. She struggles a lot for at least 30 seconds, and then she faints. Dr. Nigel smiles.)

Scene: Hallway

(Dr. Nigel is carrying Maria and running very fast.)

DR, NIGEL

Everyone out of the way! I have to take Maria to the hospital!

(Dr, Nigel passes by many scientists.)

Scene: Inside Dr. Nigel's Ship.

(There are two chairs there. Dr. Nigel places Maria on the passenger seat, and then he puts her seatbelt on. He then sits in his pilot seat and puts his seatbelt on. He looks at Maria, and then he smiles, and then he does an evil laugh.)

Scene: ARK Station

(Dr. Nigel's ship leaves the station and heads to the planet.)

Scene: Dr. Nigel's Factory

(Maria wakes up, tied up to a chair. There is a video camera in front of her, and Dr. Nigel is right by the camera.)

DR. NIGEL

The doctor's granddaughter has finally woken up.

MARIA

Where am I? Who are you?

DR. NIGEL

My name is Dr. Nigel, and you are in my factory. I was once a colleague of your grandfather's. That is, until he fired me for having ideas of turning Shadows powers into weapons for GUN.

MARIA

I'm glad he did. Shadow is more important than a weapon. His powers are meant to be used for good, not evil.

DR. NIGEL

That is a matter of opinion my dear. But now that I have you, the doctor will have to hand me his chaos emerald for your safe return.

MARIA

You'll never get away with this! My grandfather and Shadow will rescue me!

(Dr. Nigel walks towards Maria, holding a piece of cloth.)

DR. NIGEL

Oh I do hope so.

(Dr. Nigel is now behind her.)

MARIA

What are you doing? No-.

(Dr. Nigel puts the piece of cloth over Maria's mouth.)

MFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!

(Dr. Nigel walks to the camera as Maria struggles a lot. Dr. Nigel now goes behind the camera.)

DR. NIGEL

Now then, let us begin the ransom video.

MARIA

MFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!

Scene: Dr. Gerald's Office

(Dr. Gerald and Shadow are watching the ransom video on his computer. On the screen is Maria struggling.)

DR. NIGEL

(Voice only.)

Hello doctor. This is Dr. Nigel, your old colleague. I have your granddaughter. If you want her to return to you safely, you will give me your chaos emerald. No cops. Shadow must be the one to come alone with the chaos emerald. My factory is in Station Square New City. You have 2 hours to come. If not, well-you don't want to know.

(Dr. Nigel then does an evil laugh, and the video stops.)

SHADOW

What shall we do, professor?

GERALD

We have no choice but to do as Dr. Nigel says.

SHADOW

Then I shall go down there and rescue Maria.

GERALD

Yes Shadow, you shall.

Scene: Top Secret Room

(Gerald pushes in the password on a word key panel. The doors open and Gerald grabs the chaos emerald. Gerald then gives it to Shadow.)

GERALD

We have no time for you to get to a shuttle, so you have to use chaos control to get to Dr. Nigel's Factory.

SHADOW

But professor, I can't control it yet.

GERALD

I know Shadow, but you must, for Maria's sake.

(Pause.)

SHADOW

Alright professor, I will try.

GERALD

Very good. Focus all of your energy and imagine where Maria is.

(In Shadows mind, he sees Maria tied up and gagged. Her face is facing down, with her eyes closed. Shadow gets angry and red energy appears around him.)

SHADOW

CHAOS, CONTROL!

(Shadow disappears.)

Scene: Dr. Nigel's Factory

(Shadow is in front of Maria. Maria lifts her head up and opens her eyes.)

MARIA

MFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!

SHADOW

Hold on Maria, I'm coming.

DR. NIGEL

Don't move Shadow.

(Dr. Nigel appears from the shadows and goes right by Maria, holding a gun. He then places the gun up against her stomach.)

Move five feet towards me, and then place the chaos emerald on the ground, or else I will shoot Maria here-.

(He then moves the gun to her head.)

Or here.

(Maria starts crying a little. Shadow nods his head yes. He takes five feet forward, and then he places the chaos emerald on the ground. Dr. Nigel smiles, and then he pushes a button on his gun. A capsule comes down from the ceiling and traps Shadow in it.)

SHADOW

What the?

MARIA

MFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!

(Dr. Nigel takes off his sunglasses, showing his evil red eyes.)

DR. NIGEL

At last. Now I will activate my capsule's energy, and it will suck all your powers away. Then, I will use your powers for my own, along with the chaos emerald. Then, I shall conquer the planet, as the new ultimate life form.

(Dr. Nigel pushes another button on his gun. Lightning strikes all around Shadow, sucking his powers away. Shadow cries in agony and Maria struggles a lot to get to him. Dr. Nigel then does an evil laugh. After about 30 seconds, Shadow sees Maria's face in fear. Shadow gets angry and focusses all his energy while grabbing the chaos emerald.)

SHADOW

CHAOS, CONTROL!

(The capsule breaks and Shadow disappears. But then, he appears right by Dr. Nigel and punches him. Dr. Nigel lets go of the gun and flies backwards, hitting his back on the ground. Shadow then unties and ungags Maria. Maria stands up and hugs Shadow.)

MARIA

Thank you Shadow for rescuing me.

SHADOW

Of course Maria. You are my friend. But what shall we do with the doctor?

MARIA

Let him be. GUN will come and take him away to jail. Let them handle justice for us.

SHADOW

As you wish.

(Shadow carries Maria.)

CHAOS, CONTROL!

(Shadow and Maria disappears.)

Scene: Observation Deck

(Shadow and Maria (wearing her regular clothes) are looking down on the planet through a big window.)

SHADOW

With the chaos emerald back in its place, everything should be back to normal here.

MARIA

And?

SHADOW

And with you here, it feels like home.

MARIA

You know what Shadow, that's how I feel too.

(They both look at each other, and then they kiss on the lips. The scene then fades into black.)
