Set after the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry telling a lie to make the Dursleys happy. (Book is canon)

After the battle of Hogwarts, as Harry sat along with Ron and Hermione in the infirmary, with Madame Pomfrey tending to his wounds, there was a slight knock on the infirmary door. It was Hestia Jones who had come to meet Harry.

"Hey Harry, how are you doing?" asked Hestia as she took a seat near Harry's bed. From the corner of his eye, he could see Madame Pomfrey give a disapproving look to Hestia Jones, as she didn't prefer unannounced visitors when she was treating people. "Hi there, Hestia, I'm doing well... much better than I was the previous three days," said Harry.

"It must have been extremely tough on you three, wasn't it?" said Hestia, her voice laced with concern and a hint of pride.

None of them said anything but merely nodded as they exchanged understanding glances, each one probably thinking about what they had to face before and during the war.

"What?" Ron, Hermione, and Hestia cried in unison.

Amidst the hunt for Horcruxes and so many things taking place right till the end of the war, Harry had completely forgotten about his aunt and uncle. It felt as though it had been ages since he last left Privet Drive forever, knowing that their paths would never cross again. He did not have anything to say. What would he say, after all? That he had won a war they didn't even know about? Or that he had returned from being dead and even killed the evilest wizard on earth? No, this news would only disappoint them. Was there anything left to say?

"No, I don't have anything to say," Harry replied after thinking for a solid five minutes.

Hestia nodded in approval and stood up to leave.

Just as she was about to open the infirmary door, something struck Harry.

"Wait, Hestia," he cried as he slowly limped towards her since his right leg had been injured during the battle.

"Yes, Harry?" Hestia looked confused as she tried to understand what was going on in Harry's mind.

"Well, Hestia... I don't know how to put this, but... tell them I'm dead," said Harry.

"What?" Ron,Hermione, and Hestia cried in unison.

"Well I just thought..you know the war is over,we all are happy and I'm never returning back to that wretched place...and they would be happy too ,to have their burden gone"said Harry looking down at his thin ,shriveled hands

"But this doesn't justify giving them the wrong news Harry",Hermione said with a hint of annoyance

"I know, but it's just as simple as it can get they will be happier knowing I'm dead than knowing that I had such a close call.We have no contact ,no moral obligations ,nothing.I want the end of the war to bring satisfaction to everyone who was harmed due to it"said Harry firmly

"My plans would have been completely different mate"Ron added with a sneaky grin.

"Well fine then,I'll let them know "said Hestia with a sigh
