"There's definitely something we are missing"said Edwin as he inspected the crime scene gingerly
"Absolutely"the auror with a thin scar on his head replied.
Harry and Edwin were inspecting a gruesome murder that had taken place last friday at this very place.An entire family murdered in cold blood with so mercy whatsoever .
"You know what ...I think this definitely Higgin's work..I've researched alot about him ,his style of murder ,the effortless work everything"added Josh who was inspecting another part of the room.
The three aurors decided that it was of no use to stay for any longer in the crime scene and thus proceeded to return to the department to report about their conclusions.
They quickly apparated back to the ministry atrium and made their way to the department on the second floor.
" I'm so tired " exclaimed Edwin as he propped himself on the sofa of his office room.
But Harry was restless ,this case had been bothering him for a very long time.They had come very close to catching Higgin and his men a handful of times but they always managed to escape somehow.Suddenly there was a knock on the door and junior auror Wilson Beth walked in with a file,he looked tensed and disturbed
Just as Harry was about to ask what happened,Wilson exclaimed"Bloody idiots"
Seeing everyone's confused looks,Wilson said"I just found out that ever since the murder was committed that night ,they have been hunting for a muggle man,sources say that he could be a potential witness to the crime"
"What?!"everyone cried in union
"So it's easy,we just have to protect that man an take his account isn't it"Edwin said with a definite happiness in his voice
"How I wish it was as simple,the thing is we do not know who that man is,neither do they,they just have a few clues of his whereabouts...and if we take up and independent search they will know we have spies inside the system"Wilson spoke in a low tone
"Furthermore,we will only be endangering the man's life if we find out first.I am willing to bet that will definitely tail us on this"added Hugo who was patiently waiting at the door and had heard the conversation.
