Chapter 9: Of Wills and Balls (and Birthdays too)

Bulma & Vegeta's suite, 1st of Aug

Kai was sad, it was her birthday, yes, but there was two will reading scheduled. She looked over at Harry and Pansy who had been quiet during breakfast. Goten clears his voice to get his attention, "When we are done in Gringotts we, will come back, and have lunch then I think Kai wants to go to London Zoo."

Kai nodded, and Harry smiled and said, "that sounds great." Pansy didn't say anything, and Harry grabbed her hand.

Please let everything go okay today. She prayed silently as she watched

Harry and Pansy returned to their suite to put on his robes. The plan was to go with Pansy to get through the will reading of her parents and then have the reading of Sirius' will.

Bulma, Goten, Harry, Kai, Pansy and Trunks met in the living room of Bulma and Vegeta. Hermione and Remus had been to arrive later to throw off Dumbledore. They took hold of the portkey disappeared with the usual tugging behind the navel.

Gringotts, Main Lobby

As they landed on the steps of Gringotts, everyone could see that Harry and Pansy were in a world of their own. They entered the bank and found a tell.

Hello, We are here for the will reading of Malachi and Arianna Parkinson, and the will reading of Sirius Black," Bulma asked politely.

"Please follow me." The family followed the goblin into the large room twenty seats were set out in rows. Pansy sat down next to Harry since they had arrived, her eyes have been damped with tears, beside her was Harry, who Bulma had put under a glamour with permission of the goblins. He had been holding her hand tightly since they had entered the bank. Kai was sitting nearby, next to Bulma while Goten and Trunks were beside Kai on her other side.

A goblin came out and sat down in front of the desk and placed a couple of folders down on the desk. He looked up and said, "We are here for the will reading of Malachi and Arianna Parkinson."

There was a bang as the door opened, and Minister Fudge entered, with

Percy Weasley and Aurors behind him, his nose in the air.

The goblin ignored the mister and continued to speak to the young women. "Ms Parkinson, we at Gringotts are deeply sorry for the loss of your parents, they were valued customers. I have here the last will of Lord and Lady Parkinson."

"We, Lord Malachi Parkinson and Lady Arianna Parkinson being sound of mind and body bequeath our assets as instructed below. To Trunks and Goten Son-Briefs, I leave 500,000 Galleons each and the house in London as well as my heartfelt thanks for being such good friends over the years.

To Saint Mungo's, I leave 1,000,000 Galleons. I leave my remaining estate to my daughter Pansy Arianna Parkinson, as well as the head of the house Parkinson. My daughter, I am sorry we had to leave you in this time of war, we love you and adore you my sweet flower.

Pansy sobbed, and Harry pulled her into his arms, trying to comfort him. Kai walked over to confront her friend. Fudge stood up pomposity and said, "As Minister of Magic, I command you that all bequest of this will are found null and void due to both Parkinson being Deatheaters, and the money and property be giving to the Ministry."

Axegrinder just glared at him, "Minister Fudge, you have no power to null and void any will reading in Gringotts, So please be quiet and let me do my job." The Minister sat down before Axegrinder turned to Harry and said, "We will read the will of Lord Black. Is that ok?" "Yes, but can we get rid of Fudge and his cronies?" he asked ignoring the spluttering of the minster of magic and Bulma's laughter.

"You can't talk to me like that! I am the Minister of Magic." Fudge said puffing his chest out. Another voice said, "Now you can't talk to him like that sir, he is the minister of magic after all."

Everyone turned to see Dumbledore, and the Weasleys enter the room, Dumbledore paled when he saw Trunks and Goten but said nothing. Narcissa and Draco entered, Draco was sporting a black eye, and Narcissa was walking stiffly.

Finally, Hermione entered, with Remus Lupin behind her much to the anger of Dumbledore, he hadn't expected the werewolf to survive the attack on him.

When Lupin saw Trunks and Goten, he raised an eyebrow at Trunks' smirk and returned a smirk of his own, the marauder in him rising. Harry rolled his eyes but ignored them. "We are just waiting for the rest of the people named in Lord Black's will the goblin said, and Harry nodded.

Axegrinder nodded and pulled open one of the draws in his desk and pulled out a pensive before open the file on the desk and poured in the memory into the pensive which he then tapped with a bony finger. The figure of Sirius Black rose and looked around.

"I Lord Sirius Orion Black being of somewhat sound mind and godlike body and I do declare this my last will and testament. All previous wills are declared null and void. The will of Lord Black was witnessed and certified by Ragnok of Gringotts."

He looked at the gathered people and grinned, "Now that's out of the way, we can get onto the fun part."

Dumbledore spoke up, "I am here to represent Harry Potter. Here is a document giving me Power of Attorney to act on his behalf." Harry rose and asked quietly. "When did Mr Potter sign this document, Headmaster Dumbledore?"

On the 21st of July, if you would let me show you, he has written that he couldn't face dealing with the death of his beloved godfather Sirius and asked me to deal with this instead. Including take the money as he would rather have his godfather back." He told the goblin and Harry sneered at the old man.

"Somehow Dumbledore, I don't think Harry would do that." He said, his voice deeper due to the glamour. Molly Wesley glared at the unknown man.

"Who do you think you are?" Ron yelled and Harry rolled his eyes before letting the glamour fall. "I am Harry James Potter, and you, Ronald Weasley are an ass." He looked down at two of his favourite women in the world and asked if they are ok. Kai smirked and nodded, and Pansy nodded tearfully.

"Mr Potter, shall we get on with this." Harry nodded, went, and sat down next to his beloved. As the goblin touched, the pensive Sirius spoke again.

"I Sirius Black reinstate Andromeda Black, and Nymphadora Tonks to the House of Black, along with it I leave what should have been yours Andy, which is the trust vault which should have 5 million gallons in it."

To Narcissa Black, I hereby dissolve your marriage to Lucius Malfoy and l

bring you back into the family as a Black. I also leave you with 20 million Galleons and the house known as Grimsby House.

"To Fred and George Weasley, thank you for being supportive of Harry and true friends to him. To you both, I leave one hundred thousand Galleons each and my trunks of pranks to use for your amusement."

"To Ronald, Ginny and Molly Weasley, Ron's head shot up when his name was mentioned, "Ron, I know you, your sister and mothers are truly like. So, I leave you 30 sickles and hope all three of you rot in hell."

To Trunks and Goten, I know we did not always get on, as we were always pranking each other. I have not seen you both since Harry's first birthday when you brought your twins and little Kai. Remember when we found Harry, Neville, and Kai together, I think the picture is still in my vault somewhere. Anyway, I am leaving you both 5 million gallons, though I know you do not need it and the house known as Crowlin House, in Hogsmeade, which will fit your whole family plus room to spare. the twins each get 1 million gallons to be put in trust for when they come in age. I leave Kaiwari Mia Vegeta Son 1 million and one of the Black vaults."

Kai's head shot up, and she turned red, she did not remember the man, but he was given her money. She turned to Harry and smiled at him.

To Hermione Jane Granger, who has stuck through with Harry no matter, and for that I will be eternally grateful for, so I am leaving you the Black library; please get Moony's help, Hermione, to get rid of some of those evil books. Also, 1 million galleons for whatever you please.

To my godson Harry, I am sorry I am not going to be there for you; I wish things could be different. Harry, you are Lord Potter, and as such, you can claim your Potter inheritance and if you wish, you can be Lord Black otherwise you can pass over the lordship to someone else related by blood and they will become Lord or Lady Black. I love you, Harry, never forget me."

The image disappeared, and Harry was crying, and it was Pansy's turn to comfort her boyfriend. Axegrinder turned to Harry and said, "Mr Potter would you like to become Lord Black? Harry shook his head and Dumbledore smirked inwardly and in a grandfatherly tone, "Harry my boy if you give the lordship proxy to me and I will look after it." Harry rolled his eyes, muttered something that made Kai snort. He smirked at Dumbledore then turned to Axegrinder and said,

"I Harry James Potter hereby give up the claim as head of the Black family, and I hereby give it to... Kaiwari Mia Vegeta Son." The room exploded with shouts of, "she can't be Lady Black, Potter! You're not related!"

There was a bang, and everyone turned to look at Axegrinder. "There is one way of finding out if they are related. Mr Potter, I would need some blood if you please." Harry nodded and took to the knife and pierced his finger without flinching.

"If you pleased Mr Potter, place your finger on the parchment. Doing as he was told, he placed it on the parchment, and then removed it, returning to his seat, and allowing his finger to be healed by Bulma.

There was a moment's silence as the goblin looked over what had started sprawled over the parchment. He looked up and said, "Lord Potter, your nomination of Miss Son is legal, she is related."

Kai looked like she was hit with a freight train but nodded. She shook out of it and sighed before saying, "I Kaiwari Mia Vegeta Son, by blood and by magic, claim the head of the house of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black and swear to protect its interests and those who are of need. By my magic, so mote it be."

Axegrinder nodded as he felt the mantel of the head of the house settle on the young princess. He motioned for her to come up and take the ring box. She picked up the box and opened it. Sitting on the soft bed in the box was the Black ring, which was gold, and engraved in the ring was an image of a dog that was the image of Sirius' Animagi form with small emeralds at either side.

Kai smiled and slipped it on. There was a flash of light again and the ring changed to a dragon curled around Padfoot. She smiled and showed her family. "Your full name is now Kaiwari Mia Vegeta Son-Black, head of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black." The girl smiled at her and

"Thank you for your time Axegrinder, we will take our leave." She said bowing. hey, all stood up and began to leave when Dumbledore grabbed Harry. "Harry, you must come with me, you should have stayed at your family's house."

"Leave me alone Dumbledore, I'm going home with my real family and there is nothing you can do." He told the headmaster before He turned to Remus who smiled and said, "Let's go cub, we are not getting any younger." Harry grinned at him turned to help Pansy up.

Trunks waited until the teens were out earshot then turned to Dumbledore and said, "Leave him alone old man, or you have to deal with me and my family. He may be on the train on September 1." With that said, he re-joined his family.

Dumbledore turned and murmured to Moody "follow them." The man nodded only to return moments later. "I lost them." Dumbledore cursed and told him to call an order meeting.

Capsule Corp Ball, Somewhere in London

The room that was being used was decorated with splendour; the swirl of the colourful people dancing was hypnotic and beautiful. Kai was looking for her family and as she looked around, she saw Daichi and Kali in the corner whispering, Dai in a suit and Kali in a pink dress that has spaghetti straps.

Pansy (wearing a halter green dress) and Harry dancing on the floor as well as her father and Bulma, and the other members of her family. Hermione was wearing a blue dress and was chatting with some people. She sighed and took another drink of her water before smoothing down her long purple dress when she got up; she got up and headed to the French doors onto the balcony. She was standing there for 10 minutes when she realised, she was not alone.

A man stood nearby with reddish-brown hair. He turned when he saw that she was staring and smiled at her. He walked up to her, and blue eyes looked her over. "I'm Ben." He said and she smiled and said, "Hello I'm Kai." The fast song switched over to a slow song, and he put his hand out. "May I have this dance?" She blushed but nodded and he then escorted him back inside to the dance floor.

The pair swayed to the music not noticing the world around them. Neither noticed the figure watching her nor the looks her brothers and sister were giving the couple. The song ended sadly, with the words, 'Baby, I'm amazed by you.'

They parted and he bowed, before she could say anything else, she was called over by Ubuu for a dance, and when she turned to look for Ben on the balcony she could not find him, he had disappeared completely. She sighed and went back inside, to enjoy the rest of her night.

As soon as they arrived back at the hotel, everyone went to bed. When Kai went to bed, she could not help but dream of stormy blue eyes.

Crowlin House, Unknown Location

The group had moved to Crowlin House a few days after the will readings and the kids loved it. The spawling countryside meant that the kids could play quidditch and play, tiring themselves out in the meantime.

Goten and Trunks were sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee and talking about stuff when they heard a scream of rage and the house shaking.

"THAT WISKERED WANKER!" They heard Kai scream as they reached her room. They entered to see that Kai was pacing the room her hair flickering.

"Kai calm down and tell us what's going on. Count to 5." He coached. They both watch as their half-sister calmed down a little. She passed them a letter, and both read it.

Lady Son Black,

You have been summoned to a meeting of the Wizengamotto have your appointment as Head of the Ancient and Noble House of Black set aside, along with your emancipationthe guardianship of the underaged Potter Heir.

Please attend at 11 am on the 14th of August in courtroom 10.

Kai was by now standing by the window watching Daichi and Ayame on their brooms tossing a quaffle between them. "What are we going to do?" she asked her brothers.

"We fight, Dumbledore hasn't got a leg to stand on Kai, we bring the goblins in and they will help." Goten said, "I will be your attorney." Kai smiled. "Where is Harry?" he asked her brothers. "Bulla came by and took him to the hospital, Harry wanted to see if it was a possible carer."

West Capital Memorial Hospital

Harry smiled as he walked around the hospital, for the last hour Bulla had been showing her brother around the hospital. They had just stopped at the children's ward and had been talking to some of the kids there when he felt someone pull on his trouser leg. He looked down and saw a little girl with a finger in her mouth and a book in her hand. "Will you read this to me pwease." She asked, and Harry could not say no. "He sat down on the beanbag and pulled the little girl on to his lap. As he started to read some of the younger children sat down to listen.

Bulla stood by the door and watched as one book became two then became even more. Bulla smiled and heard her name being called and a nurse named Ryuu came up to her. "Bulla, your need down in an emergency, they are swamped there."

She sighed, "Can you let Harry know where I am and then bring him down to me." Ryuu nodded.

A few hours later

Harry and Ryuu entered quietly the emergency room chatting. Things had calmed down. "Harry, are you ready to go home?" Bulla asked and Harry nodded, "Yes Bulla." She disappeared and then returned with her bag. She turned to Ryuu and said, "Thanks Ryuu!" the man smiled and waved goodbye.

They walked out of the hospital and stayed silent till they reached the car. They planned to drive back to Capsule Corp then floo back to Crowlin House. Harry was silent for most of the drive home but said, "I've decided to go into Healing and medicine after school."

Bulla smiled, "That's brilliant Harry. Let's get home before everyone eats everything." They arrived at Capsule Corp and floo'd to Crowlin.

14th August, Ministry of Magic, London

Harry, Kai and Pansy, along with Bulma and Vegeta, Goten and Trunks entered the Ministry atrium and was shocked by how full it was with not only Ministry workers but journalist not only from England but around the world.

Harry saw Xeno Lovegood, Luna's dad there and unfortunately for him, Rita Skeeter. Everyone was trying to ask questions, but the group ignored them and pushed through the crowds.

When they manage to get to the lifts and the doors closed Harry sighed in relief making Trunks chuckle. The group soon arrived at the courtrooms and Kai took a deep breath as the gate opened and they walked the short distance to the entrance.

Goten, Harry and Kai moved to the unused table in front of the Wizengamot and sat down. Kai and Harry looked over and saw Dumbledore and another old man whispering before he went to his seat as Chief Warlock.

He banged her hammer. "This session of the Wizengamot has been called by Lord Elphias Doge to discuss the matter of the Kaiwari Son Illegally taking up the head of the House Black, and custody of Harry James Potter."

Lords and Ladies of the Wizengamot, there are three issues here, Kaiwari Son is NOT a member of the Black family no matter what the goblins say. That would be Heir Draco Malfoy. Secondly, she is only 16 years old, a year before her year of majority and therefore she should not be emancipated and given custody of young Harry."

He paused, thinking about what he was going to say next. "Instead, custody of both minor children should be given to Lord Albus Dumbledore, not returned to Trunks and Goten Son-Briefs, as it seem that they don't care about the poor children that are in their custody and the Black family Vote given to me to use on his behalf."

He sat down feeling smug, Up in Chief Warlock seat Dumbledore smiled, the charms that he had cast earlier should see his victory in this case. Up in the visitors' box, Vegeta and Bulma were watching but they were furious inside. Trunks hair had been flickering and Vegeta had to lean over and chop him in the neck to render him unconscious, so he didn't cause damage.

"Point of Order Chief Warlock," Goten said standing up. "My client Kaiwari is the daughter of the Black family." He said looking at Kai and mouthing 'sorry.'

Sirius Black, on the same day that he adopted Harry James Potter, adopted my client Kaiwari Mia Vegeta Son. Something she didn't know about." He told them as he copied the evidence which was given to all members of the Wizengamot.

"By Blood, Magic and Law Kaiwari Mia Vegeta Son-Black was an heiress of The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black."

He paused and then swung around grinning at his husband, "Secondly!" he said, "Kaiwari Mia's brother, Heir Harry James passed the headship to Kaiwari Mia in Gringotts, with many witnesses including Heir Malfoy and Narcissa Black."

By Blood by magic and by law, Kaiwari Mia Vegeta Son is Lady Son, therefore as she has become head of The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, she is now legally emancipated and of course have custody of Heir Potter."

The last thing I am going to say is that Kaiwari is not alone. She has me and my husband, my father in law and mother-in-law who is the Minister of Magic as advisors therefore her ascension to head of The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black should stand and custody of Harry James Potter retained.

He sat down next to shell shocked Kai and whispered I'm sorry that I never told you. To be honest it slipped our minds." Kai smiled and said, "Don't worry about it."

"We now will now commence on voting, should Kaiwari be denied as head of The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black."

Behind the chief warlock, the seat was a huge banner with Yay or Nay and Abstention. It also had three boxes next to each word all with 0 in them. "We shall vote, please tap your vote on the yay or nay orb."

One by one the members of the Wizengamot voted and the numbers under banner started to rise. When it stopped Dumbledore was not happy. "With 38 Yays and 42 nays, the Nays have it, The Nays have it." He said before ending the meeting and storming off.

Goten fell back in his chair as Kai and Harry hugged. The group reconvened and headed back to Crowlin House. It has been decided to get home to Capsule Corp in case Dumbledore tried anything.
