Chapter 23 Babysitting Days
"Okay..." Kazuma was in Wiz's store, just looking at the situation. "Now I want you to explain to me... HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!"
Kazuma shouts nervously as he sees four babies in a cradle. Babies who are his companions who have become babies again. Megumin, Aqua, Darkness and Yunyun. They all turned back into babies when they were about two years old.
(Flashback.)
"Wiz!" Aqua shouts as she enters the store.
"Oh, hi! Aqua!" Wiz says, turning from the counter to look at Aqua.
"Do you have anything good to eat?" Aqua says tiredly.
"Oh, sorry! I can prepare something for you!" Wiz says nervously.
"Quick, before I get angry." Aqua says mockingly.
"Right!" Wiz says as he goes to the back of the store to get something for Aqua to eat.
"What do you hear, Aqua?" Yunyun asks as she enters the store with Megumin.
"Are you already making trouble at this hour?" Megumin asks as she follows Yunyun.
"What do you think I am?" Aqua asks incredulously. "Kazuma didn't want to make me breakfast, so I came here."
"You could have made your own breakfast." Darkness says, also entering the store.
"I also asked Haruka..." Aqua looks away sulkily. "But he only went back to sleep."
"He's really lazy!" Megumin laughs lightly.
"Excuse me!" Vanir says excitedly as he carries in a tray of cookies and places them on the counter.
"What are these?" Yunyun asks curiously.
"They're some magic items, they have flaws, so don't touch them." Vanir leaves, giving a slight laugh that no one noticed.
"Right..." Darkness says, watching Vanir go to the back of the store.
"Oh, they're just cookies!" Aqua says mockingly, taking a cookie and eating it in one bite.
"Aqua! What are you doing?" Yunyun asks nervously.
"They're just cookies." Aqua says, taking another. "What bad could happen?"
"Well... I'm a bit hungry myself." Megumin says, taking a cookie.
"Even you, Megumin?" Yunyun says in surprise.
"What? Take one too." Megumin suggests.
"Ah, if everyone's going to take one, then I'll take one too." Darkness said, walking over to the other two and picking up a cookie.
"Ah..." Yunyun sighs. "Okay..." Yunyun gives in and takes a cookie too.
"So, Aqua. I don't have any snacks, but I can-" Wiz stops talking when he sees them eating the cookies. "Eh... and guys! These are-"
"No, no." Vanir says, putting his hand on Wiz's shoulder. "Leave them alone, it'll be fun."
The girls finish eating their cookies and sigh with relief.
"Did you see? Nothing happened!" Aqua says as she rubs her belly in satisfaction. Turning around, she looks at Vanir and Wiz. "Oh, Wiz! You don't need any more snacks. I've already eaten those..."
Aqua looks confusedly at Wiz, seeing his worried face while Vanir is laughing softly.
"What?" Aqua mutters. Placing her hands on her stomach, she feels a small pain.
Aqua turns to the others and sees that they too are feeling a pain in their bellies.
"What was in those cookies?..." Megumin crouches on the floor while holding her belly.
"I knew this was a bad idea..." Yunyun says, feeling dizzy.
"That pain..." Darkness says with a slight blush on his face. "It's good... but I don't want to feel it."
"What... what do we do?" Wiz asks nervously.
"We just watch." Vanir says laughing out loud.
(End of flashback.)
"And that was that!" Vanir says to Kazuma as he strikes a pose pointing at the boy.
"And you didn't do anything to stop it?!" Kazuma shouts, still nervous.
"I thought it would be more fun." Vanir shrugged.
One of the babies hears Kazuma's screams and starts crying. Kazuma turns around, seeing that Aqua has started crying.
"Damn!" Kazuma mutters and picks Aqua up. "Even though you're a baby, you're still a crybaby!" Kazuma says as he tries to calm baby Aqua down.
Aqua continues to cry while Kazuma tries to calm her down. After a few minutes, he manages to calm her down and get her to sleep.
"Finally..." Kazuma sighs. Returning Aqua to her crib, he sees the other three babies playing with each other.
"What are you going to do?" Wiz asks as he plays with Darkness.
"I don't know..." Kazuma sighs as he looks at the babies.
"Why don't you take care of them?" Vanir suggests.
"Because you caused it!" Kazuma mutters angrily. But he sighs in defeat. "I'll take them home."
"Will you be able to look after them?" Wiz asks.
"I don't know either..." Kazuma thinks for a few minutes. "I'm just going to take them..."
"In that case." Vanir approaches Kazuma and hands him four bags to carry the babies. "They'll probably stay like this for a week."
"Right..." Kazuma takes the bags and puts them on his body. Putting each baby in one of the bags, he says goodbye to Wiz and Vanir. Leaving the store soon after.
"I still think we should have stopped them." Wiz says nervously.
"Don't worry." Vanir taps Wiz lightly on the shoulder. "They'll do fine."
PAUSE
"Kazuma... what's that?" Haruka asks. Seeing Kazuma lying on a rug in the living room while he's surrounded by four babies.
"I won't even tell you." Kazuma grabs Megumin, preventing her from moving away from him.
"How did they become babies?" Haruka asks in surprise.
"Sit here. I'll tell you what I know." Kazuma says, sitting down on the carpet.
[...]
"So they ate those cookies from Wiz's store?" Haruka asks as she sits with Darkness and Yunyun on her lap.
"É. That's exactly what happened." Kazuma says as he sits with Megumin on his lap and Aqua pulling his cheeks.
"And what do we do now?" Haruka asks, lifting Darkness and stroking his belly.
"This will last a week at most." Kazuma sighs, lifting Aqua off his face and placing her on the carpet. "Help me with this, man!" Kazuma pleads with his friend.
"Don't worry about it. I'll help you with this." Haruka smiles, putting her hand on Kazuma's shoulder. "I have experience looking after babies."
"Ahh thank you!" Kazuma says, relieved. "But what do we do first?" Kazuma asks, but Aqua and Darkness start crying.
"First: let's feed them." Haruka stands up while carrying Darkness and Yunyun. "Come on, let's make them something to eat."
[...]
"You look hungry, don't you?" Kazuma says while the girls are crying with hunger. "Calm down guys, you'll get something to eat. Haruka, come on!"
Kazuma says loudly as he stands with the girls on a huge crib. With each one in a corner of the cradle as they cry.
"I'll be right there!" Haruka says, coming out of the kitchen while carrying two plates of banana and carrot porridge.
Haruka approaches Kazuma and hands him one of the plates.
"Haburrr!" Aqua mutters, starting to walk towards them.
The other three see Aqua walking towards the boys and follow her. Each of the girls leans on the cradle to get close.
"Look at the little airplane!" Haruka says, putting the spoon near Megumin's mouth.
The little mage quickly grabs the spoon and eats her food.
"HAbubuaahh!" Yunyun makes noises to get Haruka's attention.
"Right, right. Here!" Haruka takes some of the porridge and puts it in Yunyun's mouth
Yunyun makes some satisfied noises as she tastes the porridge.
"You're so good at this!" Kazuma looks impressed at Haruka. He turns to Aqua and Darkness and tries to feed them. "Come on girls, open your mouths."
Kazuma puts the spoon close to Aqua's mouth, but the little goddess turns her head and refuses to eat.
"Come on." Kazuma is a little disappointed, but he directs the spoon towards Darkness. "Go on, Darkness. Open your mouth."
"Brrr!" Darkness shows Kazuma his tongue.
"Gee, even you?" Kazuma says a little wistfully. He looks at Haruka and sees that he's managing to feed Yunyun and Megumin very easily.
"Yeah, just like that! My girls!" Haruka smiles as she feeds the two babies.
"How do you do it so easily?" Kazuma looks sadly at the boy.
"Let's just say I have a lot of experience with babies." Haruka gives a slight smile. "Tell you what, you try feeding Aqua and I'll take care of these three."
"Right..." Kazuma sighs. He approaches Aqua and picks her up. Stepping back a little, he talks to her.
"I just hope he makes it... Darkness, come eat." Haruka says, catching the baby's eye.
"Haahh!" Darkness smiles excitedly as she walks over to the boy.
"You're pretty cute when you're not being a masochistic pervert." Haruka giggles as she feeds the little Crusader.
Kazuma walks Aqua around the room while looking into her eyes.
"You really don't want to eat?" Kazuma looks at the little Goddess' cute face.
"Haauaah!" Aqua makes noises, she puts her hands on Kazuma's face and starts rubbing it.
"Hehe, stop it." Kazuma giggles slightly at Aqua's touches. "You're kind of cute with a baby."
"Huf!" Aqua turns away and pouts.
"Come on!" Kazuma strokes Aqua's nose. "Are you really going to be like this with me?"
Aqua shudders a little, she grabs Kazuma's finger and rubs it against her cheek.
"Babuaah..." Aqua continues to rub Kazuma's finger against her cheek.
"Waa... What a cute little thing!" Kazuma says with a slight smile on his face. "Shall we eat?"
"Gabuu!" Aqua grabs Kazuma's face while looking into his eyes.
"Right, let's eat then." Kazuma turns back to Haruka while Aqua continues to touch his face.
Haruka fiddles with the crib as she puts the three girls to sleep. Kazuma approaches his friend and taps him on the shoulder.
"Did they sleep?" Kazuma asks, looking at the crib.
"Yes, they look so cute like that!" Haruka puts her fists on her waist as she looks at the three girls.
Yunyun and Megumin are sleeping next to each other, with them drooling on the sheet in the crib. Darkness is a little away from the two and sleeping in a perfectly quiet fetal position.
"They're very peaceful in their sleep." Kazuma says, surprised by the tranquillity.
"Yes, very quiet." Haruka stretches a little. "And Aqua, have you fed her yet?"
"Not yet." Kazuma settles Aqua down and brings her close to his face. "You're still hungry, aren't you?"
"Gaabuu!" Aqua sticks out her tongue and drools a little on Kazuma's face, she starts laughing at this.
"Right, let's get you fed." Kazuma walks over and sits down on Kotatsu. She puts Aqua on top of Kotatsu and Haruka approaches with the food.
"Right, Aqua. Look at the little airplane!" Haruka puts the spoon near Aqua's mouth and the little goddess quickly eats it.
"Why won't she accept me feeding her?" Kazuma rests his head on the table and lets out a big sigh.
"Maybe she's just stressed." Haruka suggests and tries to feed Aqua again.
"Habuu..." Aqua crawls past Kotatsu and walks over to Kazuma.
"Uh?" Kazuma raises his head and looks at Aqua.
"Hafu..." Aqua holds Kazuma's cheeks and kisses him on the forehead.
Haruka and Kazuma are surprised by Aqua's attitude and are paralyzed for a few seconds.
Aqua lets out a big yawn and rests her body on Kazuma's face, falling asleep soon after.
"I didn't expect that..." Haruka says in surprise.
"É..." Kazuma carefully takes Aqua onto his lap. He walks over to the crib and puts her to sleep with the others. "Sleep well... Aqua."
PAUSE
(Night.)
"Haabrrrr!" Darkness swings his arms, throwing water everywhere.
"Darkness! Don't move in the bath!" Kazuma says a little frustrated.
After the girls fell asleep peacefully, Kazuma and Haruka talked about what they could do to take better care of them. Since they felt dirty and the girls had woken up all sweaty, they decided to take them to the bath.
Of course, the girls are wearing buoys on their arms so they don't drown in the bath water. And of course, Kazuma and Haruka are using towels to cover their private parts.
"She seems to like bathing." Haruka says with a slight laugh. "Well, now I'm going to wash your hair, Megumin." Haruka turns her attention to the little baby on a small stool in front of her.
"Bhrrr..." Megumin sticks out her tongue as she looks around the bathroom.
"It's much easier to look after you when you're a cute baby!" Haruka laughs a little as he uses a small shower head to splash water on Megumin's head.
"You say that from experience." Kazuma laughs a little as he picks Yunyun up and puts her in the bathtub next to Darkness and Aqua.
Aqua and Darkness play around, throwing water at each other as they go. Yunyun just watches the two as she floats in the tub water.
"Meow!" Chomusuke goes over to Kazuma and rubs against his leg.
"Ah, hi Chomusuke! Do you want to get in the bath too?" Kazuma looks at the little cat, she gives another meow and jumps into the tub. "Haha, I think she wants to!"
Chomusuke jumps into the tub and starts swimming around. Darkness and Aqua moved their arms to try to reach the cat. Yunyun was still floating in the tub, just scowling as she sucked on her thumb.
"Now I don't know if I want them to go back to normal... it's so much easier to look after them like this." Kazuma spoke with his hands on his hips, watching the girls and Chomusuke in the bathtub.
"That's as long as they don't have their nighttime crying jags." Haruka says, and he walks over to the bathtub and gets into it. He puts Megumin in the tub too.
"Night crying? What do you mean?" Kazuma asks in confusion as he too climbs into the tub. Darkness starts to swim towards him, and Kazuma picks him up.
"Well, since you don't have a brother, you'll never get to experience that." Haruka sighs. "There can be some nights when babies are so full of energy, tired and stressed, that they can cry all night. Literally all night." Haruka says tiredly, remembering his sleepless nights with his father.
"The whole night? And the babies don't have any problems afterwards? Exhaustion, tiredness, dry mouth, anything like that?" Kazuma said in surprise.
"Believe me. They may break down in tears and cry, but hours later, they sleep like little angels." Haruka laughs, having old memories.
"Wow..." Kazuma says impressed.
"Babubbabu!..." Darkness pats Kazuma's chest.
"What now, you useless Crusader?" Kazuma lifts Darkness to look into her eyes. Darkness looks confused at the boy, while he laughs at her cute expression. "Wow... I never thought I'd say that. But you're cute, Darkness!" Ka one strokes Darkness's belly as she begins to giggle at the affection.
Haruka laughs lightly at the scene in front of him. He looks over and sees Aqua grabbing Chomusuke, and as the cat tries to free herself from the little Goddess's clutches, Megumin tries to help Chomusuke, but Yunyun seems a little distant from the two.
"Girls. Enjoy your bath, because we're going to bed soon." Haruka approaches the four girls. Taking Aqua off Chomusuke, he puts Aqua and Yunyun on his lap while pulling Megumin lightly.
"Don't you think we should be looking for a cure as soon as possible?" Kazuma asks a little worriedly, he reaches out to Megumin and places her close to him.
"Why? Vanir said it would only last a few days." Haruka doesn't take much notice, he looks at Yunyun and Aqua, seeing Aqua yawning sleepily he laughs again. "I think it's good to finish the bath."
Kazuma was about to speak, but a yawning sound from Megumin interrupted him.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Kazuma agrees.
[...]
After the boys finish bathing the girls, they finish their own bath. They put very cute baby sleepwear on the girls. With Aqua wearing a blue nightdress with a teddy bear printed on it. Darkness wore a yellow nightdress with the same teddy, Megumin and Yunyun wore pink nightdresses with the same teddy. Yes, the baby sleepwear was from the same brand of clothing.
The boys took the girls to the crib, which was in the main room. Haruka feels a cold breeze, and seeing the girls shiver a little, Haruka walks over to the windows and closes them.
"Kazuma, light the fire to warm the house up a bit." Haruka says, Kazuma obeys at the same moment and uses his Flare ability to light the fire.
The two of them return to the crib and see the girls sleeping peacefully. Sighing with relief, they move away from them and sit down on the sofa.
"My God... what a tiring day..." Kazuma says, already feeling exhausted.
"Now do you know what it's like to have a younger brother? Haruka asks with a sigh of relief.
"Man... how hard is it to look after a baby... or rather, four babies?" Kazuma asks sighing.
"Yes... imagine doing it every day. Now you know what I've been through." Haruka laughs lightly. "But it's not that I hate it. I really love my little sister... or... did..." Haruka becomes vaguely sad, but before Kazuma can say anything. The two hear a slight commotion in the crib.
Running over to the crib, they see Yunyun stirring in the crib. She seemed upset, or even to be having a nightmare. Haruka, without hesitation, takes Yunyun onto her lap.
She gently rocked her while stroking her head and back. Yunyun rested her head on Haruka's chest, finally, after a few seconds of Haruka's action. The girl stopped fussing and went back to sleep peacefully.
"I think I'd better stay with her. The way she was acting, it was like a bad dream or-" Before Haruka can finish, Kazuma speaks up.
"A bad dream." He says, having already experienced his own nightmares in his life.
"You can go to sleep. I'll stay here and keep an eye on them." Haruka says to Kazuma.
"Okay... but make sure you get some sleep too." Kazuma walks over to the sofa, sits down on it, rests his head on the sofa and tries to relax his body. "If you need anything, just wake me up."
Haruka nods positively in response, Kazuma nods and closes his eyes. He finally falls asleep sitting on the sofa. Haruka continued to hold Yunyun in her arms, giving a happy smile at the sight of her friend's calm, sleepy face.
(Next day.)
The townspeople of Axel looked strangely at Kazuma and Haruka. Why? They were both using bags to carry the babies on their bodies. Kazuma was carrying Aqua and Darkness, while Haruka was carrying Megumin and Yunyun. People whispered and whispered to the two.
"Did they steal those babies?"
"Did they get some poor girls pregnant?"
"Well... at least they're looking after the babies... right?"
"Come on. I've barely arrived in town and I'm already being called a baby thief!" Kazuma clucked his tongue in annoyance. He continued walking, but he felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Hey, you don't need that frustration." Haruka reassures Kazuma. He reaches out and caresses Yunyun and Megumin. "After all, we have more important things to worry about." Haruka strokes Yunyun and Megumin, but the explosive little mage holds his hand and bites his fingers." Ow!"
"Hehe! She looks hungry." Kazuma mocked as Haruka wiggled her fingers feeling the pain of the bite. "You're not going to bite me, are you?" Kazuma stroked the girls' heads, and they giggled in amusement at the caresses.
"Let's go to the guild." Haruka said.
"Hafuuwuu!" Yunyun said excitedly as she waved her arms.
"Brabrlllrr!" Aqua shows her tongue to Megumin.
"Grawww!" Megumin makes some kind of growl at Aqua.
[In the guild.]
"Will you girls please stand still!" Haruka said, already tired. He was holding Megumin and Darkness, who were standing on the guild table and trying to walk around it.
The people in the guild were a little confused to see Kazuma and Haruka with babies. They didn't want to believe that they had become parents.
"Hey! Haruka!" Kazuma approaches Haruka while carrying Yunyun in his arms. "Have you seen Aqua? She slipped out of my sight and I lost her."
"How did you lose her?!" Haruka stood up in surprise. He ends up letting the girls loose, and Darkness almost falls off the table, but Haruka catches her in time. "Whoa! Almost!" Haruka sighs.
"It's serious. I can't find her!" Kazuma says worriedly. He walks over to the table and picks up Megumin, carrying the two mages. "Help me out here!"
"Hey, guys!" A female voice catches their attention. The boys turn and see Luna carrying Aqua on her lap. "Have you lost something?"
"Oh my God!" Haruka goes over to Luna and picks up Aqua. He breathes a sigh of relief. "Thanks, Luna. I don't know what I'd do if I lost any of them."
"Eh, Haruka... sorry to ask, but are they... are they your daughters?" Luma asks curiously. Most of the adventurers in the guild fall silent and watch Kazuma and Haruka, just waiting for an answer.
Kazuma and Haruka stay silent, they blink, processing the question. With a few laughs, they look at Luna.
"Not really." Haruka says, laughing a little. While Luna looks at him in total confusion.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, Luna." Kazuma says. "Actually, these are the girls in the group. Aqua, Megumin, Darkness and Yunyun." Kazuma explains, indicating the babies.
"And how did that happen?" Luna asks in surprise at the girls' appearance.
"Well, actually-" Haruka tries to explain, but Aqua starts to pull at her cheeks and make her speech distort. "The girls ate a suspicious product from Wiz's store and turned into babies."
"Ah, so that was it!"
"Now it's explained!"
"I'm definitely not going to that store anymore."
The adventurers and the receptionists spoke, already understanding why the boys had babies.
"It's really amazing!" Luna approached Haruka, stroking Yunyun's cheeks. Yunyun giggled happily as she felt Luna's caresses. "They're kind of cute like that!"
The guild members move over and get close to Kazuma and Haruka. They stand over them, wanting to get a closer look at the babies. Haruka and Kazuma feel suffocated and regret coming to the guild.
The babies feel stressed and start to cry.
"Kazuma! Quick escape!" Haruka says and Kazuma nods. They both activate their Amazon boots and jump up.
They hold the babies as they fall, landing on the ground a little away from the crowd, they start to run out of the guild. The staff are a little disappointed that they won't be able to see the babies for longer.
As Luna watched the two of them leave, she became pensive. "You're two idiots as babysitters." She laughs internally.
[...]
"Uuhhh!" Kazuma breathes a sigh of relief. He props himself up on his knees as the girls continue to cry. "Come on, girls. The commotion's over. No need to cry." Kazuma tries to calm Yunyun and Darkness down.
"At least we don't have to worry about those people wanting to get close to them." Haruka strokes Megumin and Aqua's heads. Aqua fiddles with her bag, wanting to get out as she moves her arms towards Kazuma. "I don't think she wants to be with me."
"Eh..." Kazuma is a little shocked. He looks at the bag Yunyun and her were fiddling with, it seems she wants to be closer to Haruka. "Yeah, I think we'd better swap."
Haruka agrees. The two of them swap the two babies they were holding, with Haruka staying with Yunyun and Megumin, while Kazuma was with Darkness and Aqua.
"I think I'm starting to like this." Kazuma laughs happily, watching Aqua and Darkness fight by slapping each other, but since they're babies, they don't have as much strength. "I wish I could save this moment somehow."
"Ah, we can always remember with our memories." Haruka says to defuse the situation, but he feels the same way.
"Attention! Attention! Magic painting promotion, come and get your magic portrait done!" A gentleman nearby says excitedly.
Kazuma gets curious and walks over to the man. When he gets there, the man notices the boy's presence.
"Oh, hello young father! Would you like to do some magic painting with your daughters?" The man suggests with a friendly smile.
"They're not!...Ahhh..." Kazuma calms down and turns his attention to the main subject. "What is this magical painting?"
"Good of you to ask!" The man picks up a small board with examples of magic paintings. "These paintings are able to take any image and transform it into a realistic version, but on paper." The man explains, although it seems that even he doesn't know what it is.
"hmm..." Kazuma looks closely at the paintings, and sees that they are practically photographs just like the ones in his world. Sure, they're made by magic, but they're still photographs. "Wow! It's like this was taken by a professional camera!"
"Professional camera?" The man asks confused.
"It's nothing." Kazuma blurts out. He looks back and catches Haruka's eye. "Hey, Haruka! Come here."
"hm?" Haruka walks over to his friend. "What is it?" Haruka says curiously, Kazuma just points to the magical paintings. Haruka realizes that they are photographs. "What's..."
"Hey, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Kazuma asks with a mischievous grin as he looks at the girls. The girls look confused at Kazuma, while they don't even seem to realize what's going on.
[Days later.]
(Kazuma's mansion.)
"KAAZUMAAAAAAAAA!" A scream full of hatred and anger echoes through Kazuma's group's mansion.
With everyone hearing the scream, Kazuma, Megumin and Darkness run to the room where the scream came from.
"What? What is it? Is there a monster?" Darkness says, readying his sword.
Kazuma gasps when he reaches the room, but is reassured to see that it was only Aqua.
"What now, Aqua? You almost scared me to death." Kazuma puts his hand to his chest in relief.
"Scared to death? I'll kill you with my bare hands!" Aqua screams red with anger and shame.
"Calm down, Aqua." Megumin tries to break up the fight. "What happened to make you angry with Kazuma?"
"That happened!" Aqua points to a wooden table in the corner of the room. Megumin and Darkness look in the direction Aqua pointed and they are horrified.
"O... what is..." Megumin stares in shock.
"What... what is that?..." Darkness whispers as his face pales.
They see a small table with pictures of them as babies. In all sorts of cute positions. Playing with teddy bears, making faces, crying, clinging to boys, and the last picture. The photo at the center of them all. Kazuma and Haruka smiling as they sit with them on their laps.
"Oh, that?" Kazuma asks nonchalantly. "It's a photo shoot we did when you were babies."
"What do you mean babies? What happened to us?!" Aqua screams even redder with embarrassment.
"No, no, no, no, no..." Megumin gives low murmurs while still in shock from the photos. She knows well that this kind of magical painting can't be faked, so... it's really them.
"Ahhh... this... this is so..." Darkness breathes heavily as she looks very excited looking at the photos of herself as a baby.
"Come on, it's not the end of the world, is it?" Kazuma quips. He looks at Aqua and gives her a debauched smile. "After all, you looked very cute while Haruka and I were looking after you."
"Why!" Megumin kneels on the floor in tears, but she notices one of the photos. In one of the photos, she's hugging Haruka's face while giving him a little kiss on the cheek. "I... I did that?!" She picks up the photo and is shocked, but a little happy about it.
"Oh my god!" Darkness picks up one of the photos excitedly. A picture of herself grimacing while being held by Kazuma. "I... I never thought I'd see myself like this..." Darkness says, smiling a little.
"Why are you enjoying this?!" Aqua asks, still annoyed. She picks up one of the photos and is about to throw it to the ground, but she takes a closer look at it. Seeing a picture of herself as a baby while she was on Kazuma's shoulders, like a little horse. In the photo, Aqua looks very happy with the action.
As the Goddess of Aqua looked at that photo, she felt a strange feeling. A feeling of... happiness? Even though she had felt happy at various times, but... this happiness was different. Different like... a happy memory from her past, but how? She didn't remember anything when she was a baby, in fact, she doesn't even know if she was ever a baby.
"Aqua?" Kazuma notices the Goddess' strange silence and becomes slightly worried. "Aqua, are you all right?"
"Yes, I..." Aqua returns the photo to its original place. "I was just thinking..."
"Man, you were so cute as a baby! I even regretted you going back to normal." Kazuma says a little sadly. Kazuma says a little sadly. "Well, I did get a glimpse of that little body of yours."
"Wait... you saw me naked?!" Aqua shouts. "So that's why I was naked in my room and in my bed!?"
"Oh, how I wish I'd taken that opportunity." Kazuma clenches his fist dramatically.
It looked like the girls would be back to normal, but the baby clothes they were wearing had torn. Luckily, the boys knew when they would be back and left Aqua and Darkness in their rooms and Yunyun with Megumin in the same room. Of course, they left their clothes there. Kazuma wanted to peek in, but he knew Haruka would rip his head off if he tried.
"Look, Aqua. Before you make a fuss, I want to defend myself by saying-" Before Kazuma can complete his sentence, a porcelain vase is thrown in his direction, but he manages to dodge it in time.
"You damn pervert!" Aqua starts throwing more things at Kazuma, while the boy tries to dodge each thing thrown in his direction.
Megumin and Darkness watched the scene worried that Kazuma had actually spied on them naked, but they trusted that Haruka hadn't allowed it.

Outside the mansion, Haruka and Yunyun were playing with Hannibal. Haruka looked into the mansion and heard Aqua's screams and things being broken.
"Oh my god..." Haruka puts her hand to her forehead in frustration.
"What happened in there?" Yunyun picks Hannibal up off his lap as he joins Haruka's side.
"Let's just say that I forgot to tell Aqua and the others that they had become babies." Haruka sighed. "Sorry about the mess."
"It's okay." Yunyun throws a ball away. Hannibal jumps off her lap and starts running after the ball. Yunyun looks down at her clothes, picking up a small piece of paper, she sees a photo of her baby kissing Haruka's cheek. "I don't mind the mess." She smiles, feeling happy that Haruka had given her this photo.

Note: Man, I really wanted to write this chapter. After I saw a fanart of Kazuma taking care of Aqua, Megumin and the Darkness babies, I was so fascinated that I wanted to do a chapter like this, but that was at the end of November 2024. As the release day for this chapter is February 10, 2025, you might think "It took a while, didn't it?" Yes, because I really didn't know where to fit this chapter in. But anyway, here it is.
