Chapter 11: Mr. Freeze's revenge
In Freeze's lab, Boyle was frozen up to his shivering to death. The temperature felt like a thousand knives stabbing all over him; he couldn't think about anything but the pain.
"V-Vic-" Boyle said.
Boyle could hardly speak under the temperature Freeze watched him in deep pleasure who ruined his life.
"You feel it now don't you? The pain you delivered to her when you killed her." Mr. Freeze said.
Boyle still couldn't get the words out the cold was seriously running up.
"In my nightmares I see Nora opening her eyes to me reaching her hand on the glass to me as froze in her death. Yet you even denied me a life without living under the sun. Never to give my wife the life we longed for." Mr. Freeze said.
Coughs came out of Boyle's throat and shivers he was close to begging Freeze to kill him.
"You're probably wondering why I have not killed you yet. Death…is too kind to who it takes to heaven or hell…to destroy you the way you have destroyed me…I will take away everything you value most. Starting with your wealth. Then your company. Your legacy will be nothing more than ice pops. And then…you shall die frozen solid." Mr. Freeze explained.
Boyle tried to yell it out and only could shout out the pain he was in under the ice.
"Yes…now you feel the pain you caused me when you said you care less about Nora. Now…you will feel my pain when I watch her die." Mr. Freeze said.
"Vic-tor…" Boyle said.
Freeze turns away storming out of the lab leaving him to freeze to death more.
Freeze was in a back room and he lifted the snow globe of Nora up close to him.
"I miss you…but at last you will be at peace. I'm sorry, I could not save you…but I can promise you will rest well after it is done…my doing for you still stands as said in my wedding vows." Mr. Freeze said.
Freeze faces down listening to the lullaby it played.
As night finally fell…
…Batman without Robin paid Selina's new apartment a visit.
It had more space than her old apartment but was not very tightey.
The Dark Knight puts on his vision scanner.
Scanning every inch of the apartment.
Seems Selina had better clothes than before, a lot of them were expensive.
Which disappointed him more given she either stole them or stole what she paid with…
Bruce came into the bedroom and saw writing on the wall…
SLEEP TIGHT BATS
Batman's eyes widened.
Knockout gas suddenly sprayed out seems Selina knew he would trace her and plant a trap for him thinking fast Batman threw a Batarang at a window.
Shattering it letting the gas out and Alfred contacts him.
"Master Bruce, are you alright?" Alfred's voice said.
"I'm fine. Selina planted a trap. She must have known I would trace her." Batman said.
"Is she there with you?" Alfred's voice said.
"No. She must have set this up to slow me down." Batman said.
"Where do you think she is now?" Alfred's voice said.
"Not sure. But I have a hunch." Batman said.
Where she was…was back at Gothcorp climbing to Boyle's office.
"But she wasn't here for the charity money this time she was here to crack the safe with Ms. Kitty on her shoulder.
"I know Ms. Kitty. After this we'll have to stay in another hotel if Bruce has already traced us." Catwoman said.
Selina scratches the glass open for Ms. Kitty to hop in and Catwoman reached in for the locks, prying it open and pushing it open and once she crawled in her own eyes widened…
The doors to the office where freezing like the Humanitarian event and Cargo ship and explodes Mr. Freeze was after the same thing.
Ms. Kitty hisses hiding behind Selina's leg.
"Who the hell are you?" Catwoman asked.
"That's not your concern. This is a personal matter. If you value your life you'll leave immediately." Mr. Freeze said.
"Sorry but I'm not leaving without my prize." Catwoman said.
"Then you have sealed your fate." Mr. Freeze said.
Catwoman launches her whip.
But Mr. Freeze simply blasts her with his Freeze Ray.
Freezing her in case of ice.
"Chill out Kitty Cat." Mr. Freeze said.
Freeze went to safety and pulled CLEAN off by his suit's strength and found Boyle's prize diamond.
"Perfect. Boyle's most prized position. I could use this to power my weapons." Mr. Freeze said.
Freeze loads the diamond into his Freeze Ray looking back at the frozen Catwoman with Ms. Kitty meowing and scratching the ice on her.
Freeze felt a little bad but turned away walking out of the iced office.
Minutes later The Dark Knight arrived just to find Selina in the room iced up.
"SELINA!" Batman called.
Bruce ran up to her with Ms. Kitty still meowing sadly and Batman thawls her with his thawl beam.
Took a few but he managed to free Catwoman out of the ice she coughed and shivered when falling in Bruce's arm.
"Selina…" Batman said.
"Br-Bruce…" Catwoman said.
"I'm right here." Batman said.
"I'm so cold…" Catwoman said.
Batman lifts her up in his arms carrying her out with Ms. Kitty following him…
