Hello, bots and cons. Centurion Maximo here and welcome to the next chapter of my Bayverse rewrite project: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Rewritten. There will be massive changes to this one, more so than the previous rewrite story, but some things will remain the same.

Now, to the second chapter of my Bayverse rewrite project!

The Transformers… sentient mechanical beings that have been warring with each other for millenia. The heroic Autobots versus the evil Decepticons. The Allspark was launched from Cybertron by Optimus Prime to keep the source of all Cybertronian life from Megatron's hands. Over time, it was discovered on the planet Earth along with Megatron who had been on ice for thousands of years.

However, this isn't the first time that the Transformers and humanity have met…

In the before time many millennia ago, there were the Thirteen Primes who were responsible for Cybertron and its well-being. To solve Cybertron's energy crisis, the Primes constructed devices called Star Harvesters to consume stars to provide energon for Cybertron, but the Primes had a single rule: Never consume stars with life as they believed all life was precious, but not all Primes believed in this rule.

One of the Primes, Liege Maximo, believed that other beings were insignificant to their own race. He constructed multiple Star Harvesters on inhabited worlds. The planet Torkulon was one of many unfortunate victims of Liege Maximo's ambitions. The other Primes caught on and fought him fiercely, eventually defeating him. Striking his name from history, Liege Maximo became the Fallen, the original Decepticon. He was banished from Cybertron forevermore and cast out into exile.

During this exile, several millennia later, The Fallen stumbled upon Earth, crash-landing in Ancient Egypt. Manipulating them, he set himself up as their God. This lasted for five-thousand years until the Egyptians realized the Fallen was anything but benevolent. The other Primes once again caught onto the Fallen's acts and made their way to Earth. The battle was long as the Fallen's own followers had joined him some time ago, but in the end, he was defeated again. This time, though, the Primes and humans working together, managed to seal the Fallen away in a special tomb within the Pyramid of Giza. Before he was sealed away, the Fallen uttered menacingly "I will rise again…" His red optics gleaming with hate and anger before finally becoming mere myth forevermore, or so the Primes hoped…

*Shanghai, China. N.E.S.T Team & Autobots. 20:43 pm*

It had been exactly one year since the battle in Las Vegas and the Transformers were exposed to the public eyes. Now, the whole world knew about the Autobots, Decepticons, and their war. Some people were obviously still wary of the aliens, but most were grateful that the Autobots saved their planet from the Decepticons. Megatron was still at large as he managed to escape back to the Nemesis along with Starscream, Soundwave, Skywarp, Thundercracker, and a couple more. Other Decepticons had been hiding all over the planet. The biggest advantage the Autobots have is that they're in possession of the Allspark after Las Vegas.

However, in the time frame of said year, good news had happened after Optimus Prime sent his message to the stars: A large Autobot ship called the Xanthium along with another smaller ship named the Jackhammer intercepted Prime's transmission and came to Earth. At the same time, the Alien/Autobot Cooperation Act was established, signed by Optimus Prime himself along with all of Earth's leaders. With that in place, a new organization was formed in its wake: A secret, but brave multinational task force called N.E.S.T. They track down Decepticons across the globe.

Currently, the Human/Autobot alliance force was getting ready to take down a new Decepticon incursion in China, more specifically Shanghai. The Chinese officials hastily evacuated the area the second they detected the Decepticon in the first one's area, but they didn't know how many there really were.

"Have the civilians been evacuated, Spike?" Lennox asked.

"Roger Wilco, Captain." Spike saluted with a smile. Spike had done good in the training with NEST for the past year and was now part of the very first de facto response team consisting of himself along with Lennox, Epps, Burke, and Donnelly who had become good friends with him despite his age.

"Alright, you pair up with Landmine." Lennox patted Spike's shoulder with a small smile as Landmine in his Assault Buggy mode pulled up beside the two humans.

"Got it. Come on, Landmine." Spike gave a thumbs-up as hopped on the seat of Landmine who was ready for battle.

"Let's go get some Decepti-creeps." Landmine said, eager to kick some Decepticon aft. Landmine had advanced a lot in his evolution in the past year, becoming a fully sapient Transformer rather than an Allspark Mutation. Of course, having the Allspark in Autobot possession helped with that. He'd gotten the Autobot insignia engraved onto his chassis and was currently training under Ironhide who was genuinely surprised, but was willing to take the new Autobot under his wing.

"Not without me, you two aren't." Burke chuckled as he got into the passenger seat. With that, Landmine drove off looking for any other Decepticons in the area. Burke found a good friend in Landmine as they both loved busting Deceptichops.

"Be careful, Landmine." Ironhide said over the comms. "You may have advanced a bit, but you're still a rookie in my books, so consider this a big test."

"Yes, sir." Landmine acknowledged as he continued driving with his human passengers.

In another part of the area, Arcee was scouting along with another new Autobot arrival: Sideswipe who preferred bending the rules. He took the form of a silver Corvette Stingray Concept Car. Joining them was NEST's very own director: Marissa Faireborn. When the Transformers were exposed to the public, she volunteered to become the director of the new Alien/Autobot organization, despite being quite rude about turned out Marissa came from a military family and proved herself fairly easily. "I must say, Marissa, it is unusual for an organization director to join us directly in the field." Arcee commented.

Marissa merely shrugged her soldiers with a small smirk. "Eh, I need to get out of the office once in a while. Besides, General Morshower is capable of handling things whenever I'm gone. Plus, we have a whole security system at the base thanks to some of our assets being former Sector 7 material."

"Well, I think it shows how badass you really are." Sideswipe chimed in.

"Hehe, appreciate the comment, Sideswipe." Marissa chuckled with a grin.

"Please don't encourage him, Marissa." Arcee groaned.

"So, we have detected Decepticons in the area." Salani said.

"How many?" Lennox asked.

"Looks like only two, but we could be wrong any minute." Epps said.

Suddenly, an explosion happened at the power plant and a red, white, and blue motorcycle sped out, transforming to robot mode and sees the Autobots and soldiers. "Frag! Didn't expect to see you guys this early!" He began to panic as he transformed back to his vehicle mode, driving off.

"We got Decepticon contact!" Epps shouted over the comms as he entered an assault buggy and contacted their superiors, preferably General Morshower. "Panther One, requesting fire mission now!"

"Gunships, roll in hot!" General Morshower commanded. Apache Helicopters flew in, firing missiles at Reverb who was fast enough to dodge them.

As this was happening, a silver Audi R8's headlights lit up and drove off. "We have a second Decepticon!" One of the helicopter pilots informed.

"Arcee, Director! Decepticon contact coming your way!" Lennox shouted. Arcee and Sideswipe exchanged a look of determination before breaking into a sprint, transforming mid-air into their robotic forms. The silver Audi transformed into Sideways, a Decepticon with a penchant for chaos and disguise. He skidded to a stop, facing them with a malicious grin. He noticed Marissa, and a new Autobot addition: Stockade.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here? The new kids on the block?" Sideways taunted, his metallic voice echoing through the night.

"You'd be surprised, Sideways." Stockade growled. "Yeah. I know who you are. How's your boss? Still, as the humans say, licking his wounds?"

Sideways clenched his metallic fists. "You dare speak ill of Lord Megatron?!" Besides, my business isn't with you 'Bots." He transformed and sped off, evading Autobot and NEST weapons fire.

"Really, bro? You let Sideways escape?" A new voice called out as a yellow Corvette Stingray Concept Car drove up and transformed into robot mode, revealing himself as Sunstreaker, Sideswipe's twin brother.

Arcee rolled her optics. "We had to prioritize the evacuation. He's a slippery one, always has been."

Marissa nodded. "Let's not split up. We stick together, we stand a better chance of taking them out before they do any real damage."

Arcee, Sunstreaker, and Sideswipe agreed, forming a tight trio as they pursued Sideways with Marissa riding along on Arcee. The Decepticon's taillights grew smaller in the distance, but their enhanced sensors made it easy to track him. The chase led them through the outskirts of the city, the neon lights flickering in the background as they weaved in and out of traffic, causing a symphony of screeching tires and honking horns.

As they pursued, they were unaware that they were over water crossing a bridge. A large black U.S. Lockheed Martin Littoral Combat Ship was stationed there, seemingly waiting for them. "Sonar to Sideways, I'm in position."

The comms crackled with Sideways' response, "Good, I'll lead them right to you."

The trio of Autobots and Marissa reached the bridge, the sound of Sideways' engines growing faint. Without warning, the underside of the bridge shook as it was pelted with shots from Sonar's weapons. "Decepticon in the water, engaging now!" Spike's voice rang over the comms.

Turned out Spike, Burke, and Landmine had seen Sonar in the water and were preparing to engage. "No! Rookie, don't engage Sonar! You're not ready yet!" Ironhide ordered.

"But sir…" Landmine tried to interject, but Ironhide cut him off.

"No! Sonar is out of your league, kid! Leave him to the experienced bots!" Ironhide shouted.

"But we can't let him just escape!" Spike protested, his voice filled with determination.

"I said hold your position!" Ironhide's voice was stern, but there was a hint of pride in it. "That goes for you too, Spike and Burke!"

While this was going on, a black and brown AH-64 Apache Helicopter was merely observing them, as if waiting for the right moment. "Sideways, I'm detecting a strange energy signature somewhere in the city."

"Who cares about that?! I've got bots on my tail!" Sideways shouted over the comms.

"It's cybertronian, Sideways." Blademaster pointed out and that made Sideways go silent for a few astro-seconds. "It's something else... something powerful... ancient..."

"... Where?" Sideways asked.

"In a warehouse." Blademaster answered.

"I'm now on my way for it, but I'll need a distraction." Sideways commented.

"On it." Blademaster flew in his comrade's direction. Missiles were fired at Arcee, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and Marissa. The small group were forced to evade the weapons fire. This gave Sideways the chance to disappear into the warehouse district and look for that cybertronian energy signature.

"Why couldn't Blademaster tell me specifically where this energy signature is?" Sideways bemoaned to himself as he slowed down and crawled while still in vehicle mode. His energon detector went off when he reached a warehouse with the number 32. Transforming to robot mode, he pried the door open and saw a silver, circular cybertronian artifact that was glowing neon blue on certain lines. "Whoa…" He picked it up and felt its faint power emanate. "Blademaster, I've located and picked up the signature."

"Excellent. I think it's time to fall back, don't you?" Blademaster chuckled as he sent out a command for all Decepticons in Shanghai to fall back.

Sideways and Wreckloose sped off while Sonar went by the water and Blademaster himself ascended into the air a bit. Unfortunately for Reverb, he wasn't fast enough and got caught and disarmed by NEST. Everyone gathered around the small Decepticon. Needless to say, Reverb was scared out of his mind. "U-Um, let's not do anything hasty, guys…" If Reverb was human, he'd be quaking in his boots.

"Sideways has disappeared off the grid. We lost him due to missiles being fired at us." Sideswipe grumbled.

"Starscream? Thundercracker?" Sideswipe asked.

"No. We would've seen them in a strafing run. Might've been Blademaster." Sunstreaker speculated with a hand to his chin.

"Then what do we do with this guy?" Spike asked, still looking at Reverb.

"I may have an idea." A new voice called out. Everyone turned to see a beige and brown-striped Autobot with wings and a fighter jet cockpit on his chest walking up to the group with a couple downed Vehicon Seekers This was the Aerialbot Breakaway. "We can take him to our new prison facility. We don't kill 'Cons if we can avoid it."

Reverb's eyes widened with hope. "Oh, thank the Allspark! You guys have a prison?"

"Yeah, we do, but don't get too comfortable. We're not exactly the Ritz-Carlton." Spike smirked, Burke patting Spike's shoulder.

Marissa nodded to Breakaway. "Good call. We'll take him there for questioning. Maybe he knows something about Sideways' little disappearance."

Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Rewritten. As you've read, the Autobots aren't nearly as outnumbered here as they are in most media, but the Decepticons still have more numbers, obviously with the Vehicons and such. As seen, I've completely omitted the characters of Skids and Mudflap and replaced them with the addition of Sideswipe's twin Sunstreaker.

Some of the Decepticons seen in this chapter are Reverb from the toyline, Sideways who doesn't die immediately, Wreckloose who is a retool of the Sideways toy with the same vehicle mode, and Sonar who is one of the few nautical Decepticons ever. I've even included Blademaster as another aerial Decepticon that isn't a jet or Seeker.

I've also added the Aerialbot Breakaway as the first Autobot flier in this rewrite series. Fun fact: Breakaway was actually planned to be in the film like Arcee and Prowl in the previous film, but unfortunately got dropped. However, he was featured and playable in the Revenge of the Fallen game and was a mini-boss in a level in the Dark of the Moon game.

As usual, if anyone has any ideas for this story, please let me know in the comments/reviews, or personally PM me.
