"Previously on Total Drama: Express Tour! We gathered 21 contestants from various parts of the world to create a new, bizarre, and incompetent cast to travel the world on the new and flashy McLean Express. They were divided into 3 teams and faced their first challenge: bring me an ancient relic from Japanese history in record time. Liam demonstrated his sumo skills, Team Friendship was saved by the unexpected romance of Charlotte, and Team Amazonian revealed their criminal streak to get the relic, leaving Kevin as the sole victim of an elderly Japanese man. He deserved it for talking like that about my daughter! I am fuckin' excited! Oh no, I said a curse word; you can't say that on TV... But I'm not on TV! I'm free! Where will our contestants go this time? Who will be the first to fall? These and more answers in today's episode of Total Drama... Express Tour!"

It's already daytime on the McLean Express, and most contestants are gathered in the dining wagon, eating some hard pancakes cooked by Chris Jr. and Emma, who were chosen as cooks due to Chef Hatchet's absence.

"Celia, pass me the honey, I need more!" shouts Kevin.

"Celia!"

"Oh, yeah. Sorry, it's just that... I didn't have a good night," says the girl, handing the honey to Kevin. The guy started squeezing the jar, drenching his pancakes in honey. "The train makes me a bit nauseous."

"As I mentioned before, I don't think sleeping on the floor is a good idea. Not only can it disrupt your rest, but it can also be frowned upon," Pedro explains.

"In Japan, they sleep on the floor, right? I was just adapting to the culture," says Celia, forcing a mocking smile. "Besides, this way I can start my plan to customize our wagon starting from the most important part: the floor."

"You're doing a pretty good job beautifying our wagon, Celia," says Corey, who is sitting by the window sipping a cup of tea.

"Speaking of the train, doesn't it seem strange? Last night, I peeked out the window, and there was just an ocean," Barbara says, taking a sip of hot chocolate. "Ugh, this tastes like garbage. I want real food!"

"Oh, right! I was freaked out by that too. So I asked Chris about it; he said, 'What are you doing here at 4 in the morning?'" Kevin does an imitation of Chris's voice that makes several laugh. "Then he explained that he ordered tracks all around the world. Where does that old guy get so much money?"

"It's not Dad; it's the new producer," explains Chris Jr., who is serving pancakes along with his sister to the members of Team Friendship.

"Excuse me, but this pancake is still raw. I can't eat like this!" shouts Barbara.

"Do you want to eat or not?" Emma asks, causing Barbara to immediately back and mumble a quick

"yes, please."

Confessional

Celia — Last night, I found an anonymous note talking about an alliance. I'm sure I shouldn't have seen it since it was in the trashcan, but now the doubt is eating me up. Who wrote it, and why do they think I'm not one of the most capable people on the show? That hurts my feelings! (She says, feigning pouting).

Corey — Even though I came to the program for the prize, I'm fascinated to have the opportunity to see so many beautiful landscapes. I also really like the people on my team, maybe just except for Kevin...

Barbara — I don't know if I can keep it up with the food on this show. I mean, I feel like a prisoner. Do you know what yesterday's dinner was? Boiled broccoli! That should be a war crime! I wouldn't have any problem leaving early to appear on The Aftermath, can you imagine that?! Me?! At a Gemmy Gala?! I'm dying of excitement!

Kevin — Did you see the girl serving the pancakes? She doesn't know it yet, but she's going to be my wife.

Meanwhile, most of the guys from Team Friendship are just getting up; they stayed up quite late washing the dinner dishes.

"I brought you breakfast, guys." AJ enters through the door with a tray containing four plates of food for his teammates and four drinks: Coffee for AJ, orange juice for Harlan, tea for Levi, and hot chocolate for Harvey.

"Thanks, AJ! You're my idol," says Harlan, helping AJ distribute the breakfast.

"First meal of the team, isn't it great?" asks Harvey.

"I guess it helps boost morale after the first challenge." says Levi.

"So, going back to where we left off: are you telling me the mastermind was the sweet girl who wouldn't hurt a fly?" says Harlan. Harvey had spent much of the morning telling them about his Danganronpa fanfic.

"That's right! Quite unexpected, don't you think?" shouts Harvey, his excitement almost at its peak.

"I don't know... I feel like it's a plot-twist lacking cohesion and foundations," says Levi, lying back on his bunk. "Tumblr people wouldn't like it."

"Well, I believe a masterpiece is appreciated everywhere!" exclaims Harvey.

"Wait, are you talking about Tumblr from experience?" asks Harlan.

"Uh... yes, maybe." Levi says, with a certain air of embarrassment in his words.

"Do you write fanfics on Tumblr? I didn't even know Tumblr was used in 2024!" says Harvey, quite excited.

"It has a pretty active community, but changing the subject..." Levi is interrupted by Harvey.

"You can't change the subject after saying that; you have to show me one of your works!"

"That would be pretty cool; I'm sure they're good. You seem like a pretty creative person," says Harlan.

Confessional

Harvey — I'm glad to know that Levi is also a fellow... man of culture. (he says, adjusting his glasses).

Levi — It all started when I watched Spirited Away for the first time; I wanted to research the producers and ended up on Tumblr. It's not that I'm ashamed; I know I'm a very good writer. It's just that... Tumblr users are associated with stereotypes that I don't want to be associated with.

AJ — Isn't Tumblr that page where its users are either SJW or Misogynists? I don't know which one is Levi but... Both ideas terrify me. Anyway, I'm just happy that the boys and I are getting along, I don't usually have much luck hanging out with other teenagers.

"Thanks... but I have to think about it." Levi concludes.

Then, someone knocks on the door, and Harlan opens it to reveal Ashley.

"Guess what, guys?!" says the girl, jumping excitedly. "You're invited to the first official concert on the McLean Express!"

Ashley hands the four guys some handcrafted flyers made with black cardboard and glitter sprinkled all over. It reads: 'Rock and Roll All Nite at the McLean Express! Tonight in the common room. Featuring Ash Jacometti on guitar.'

"This is great! Who made these flyers?" says Harlan.

"I did!" exclaims Gretchen, who has been behind Ashley this whole time.

"What a great idea, girls. It's a perfect excuse for us to get to know each other within the cast," says Harlan. "What do you guys think?"

"I'd like to go. I've never been to a party, but maybe it'll give me some inspiration," says Harvey.

"I don't know... It's not my kind of social event," says Levi. AJ also shakes his head.

"Come on, guys. There will be cute girls and good music. At least I'm going," says Harlan.

"Fine, I guess I'll stop by for a while," says Levi, shrugging.

Finally, AJ also nods in agreement.

"Great! The only person who has rejected so far is Charlotte. I'll give the flyers to the Amazons. See you later!" says Ashley, making the Rock and Roll sign with her hands. Gretchen follows her, hopping happily.

Confessional

Harlan — I don't like people thinking I'm a party-loving playboy jock, but I think Ashley's idea is perfect for us all to get to know each other. And you don't say no to a good party.

Ashley — This is the perfect opportunity for the world to start hearing Ash Jacometti's guitar! And I came up with the idea all by myself.

Gretchen — I've never been to a party, but I'll do anything to help my super friend Ashley, and it's the perfect time to make more friends!

"Great! The only person who has rejected so far is Charlotte. I'll give the flyers to the Amazons. See you later!" says Ashley, making the Rock and Roll sign with her hands. Gretchen follows her, hopping happily.

Charlie — Pf, can you imagine me at such a low-class event? Anyway, surely no one will go. I should organize a party; that would be a real party.

Meanwhile, things are not so friendly in the Amazons' cabin. Only Sophia and Kira are present, each in separate bunks and in complete silence. Celia had been making some renovations in the place, and now each bed had a graffiti on the wall next to it with the owner's name. 'Barbie' in the same font as the famous doll, 'Soph' with stars and bars in the style of the USA flag, 'Corey' in an elegant and decorated font. Kira's bed was a work in progress, with only the 'K' drawn.

Then, Pedro enters the room.

"Ms. Kira, good morning," says Pedro. The girl gets up from her bunk and goes to greet him. Pedro greets Kira with a kiss on the back of her hand.

"Good morning, Pedri! How are you today?"

"I'm perfectly fine. Does my captain want me to bring her breakfast?"

"That would be amazing, Pedri." And with that, Pedro leaves, to the amazed look of Sophia.

Confessional

Sophia — This is so, so unfair! First, Kira is chosen undemocratically, and then she feels entitled to give orders to Pedro? Just because the guy dresses like a butler doesn't mean he is one.

Kira — I've made friends with Pedri lately; it turns out he also lives in Spain! Besides, he's a very helpful guy. I didn't think gentlemen still existed until I saw him.

Pedro — Ms. Kira has proven to be an excellent captain, there's just a small problem: Pedri... Nicknames like that seem... Inappropriate to me.

Finally, in the luxury cabin, Team Alpha used the entire night to take advantage of the amenities. Lucy is relaxing in the Jacuzzi, and Ryuuko is next to her, running on a treadmill, while Jennifer is in the massage chair, writing something in a notepad.

In the gym area, Sam and Liam are standing in front of Mac, who is lying on the bench press.

"Guys, I don't think I can do this," says Mackenzie, using all his strength to lift the weight.

"Don't be such a wimp; it's just the bar. It doesn't even have any extra weight," says Sam.

"The bar still weighs 45 pounds!" says Mac.

"I've known dogs that weigh less. Come on! I want to use the bench." shouts Sam.

"C'mon Mac! You can do it! Mac, Mac, Mac!" Liam starts chanting.

"Mac, Mac, Mac!" Sam joins in.

Finally, Mac manages to lift the bar.

"That's it! Now fourteen more repetitions! You can do it!" Liam shouts.

"How many?!" Mac shouts, completely red.

Confessional

Sam — Liam is a great leader. He's strong and knows how to motivate people. Even though i'm not a team player, I think the two of us will ensure the team doesn't lose any challenges.

Liam — My team is great! Right now, we're all pretty close. I'm helping Mackenzie come out of his shell, and it makes me so proud!

Mackenzie — This morning, I saw Sam and Liam working out, and I thought it would be a good idea to join them. Never again. I guess some people just aren't born to be strong.

"It was good while it lasted, huh?" Lucy says, breaking the silence.

"What thing?" Ryuuko responds, taking off his headphones.

"The luxury wagon. I guess we'll have another challenge today, and we'll probably lose it."

"No need to be so pessimistic," says Ryuuko. "Although our team isn't that great."

"Liam, Sam, and you look pretty strong."

"I'm not that special," says Ryuuko. "I help a friend practice for her athletics competitions, that's all. On the other hand, you have a good build compared to the other girls."

"That's because I practice Kickboxing," says Lucy, rolling her eyes. "But thanks for noticing."

"On the other hand... that girl Jennifer seems smart, but I doubt she wants to make friends. Mac, on the other hand, seems like a friendly loser. And... I feel like I'm missing someone."

It's then that Spencer opens the door to the bunk compartment, just waking up.

"Guys! You won't believe it but I just had a dream where I was riding a hot dog! How cool is that? Man, I'm so hungry..."

"You were missing Spencer," Lucy points out.

"Yeah, that idiot is a lost case."

"You don't have to be so harsh, or they'll kick you out first."

Finally, Ryuuko shrugs and puts his headphones back on.

Confessional

Lucy — Ryuuko may seem like a jerk at first glance, but I'm sure the things he says aren't what he really thinks. Anyway, it's not my concern. In the last challenge, I dissociated a bit, I guess I'll have to integrate more today.

Jennifer — Despite being on the show, I can't neglect my academic process. So, in these free moments, I'm writing part of my thesis that I'll present someday.

"Dear contestants, we are about to reach our destination! Mobilize your butts to the entrance!"

The contestants move towards the luxury wagon as the train begins to stop. All that can be seen in the landscape is a large urban metropolis, clearly Asian. Once everyone has disembarked from the train, they spot a tall and modern building with a large transmitting antenna at the top.

"Contestants, I would like to welcome you to Seoul, South Korea! Home to K-pop idols, fish, and pure jewelry. But what interests us the most... strange game shows!

"I love K-Dramas," Mac points out, in a low voice.

"Are we in North Korea or South Korea?" Harlan questions, jokingly.

"Obviously South Korea. I tried negotiating to do a challenge in North Korea, but they threatened to bomb my house if I dared to enter the country," Chris explains.

"I don't blame them. If a guy with a beard like Chris' came to talk to me I'd be scared too," Kevin jokes. Chris just raises an eyebrow disdainfully and leads the group of contestants inside the building.

Confessional

Harvey — If Chris thinks Korean shows are weird, it's because he's never seen Japanese ones. I've heard they have "Be cute or get pie," where they randomly wake up women, and if they don't look cute waking up, guess what happens? They get pied.

Kira — I love foreign television! Here in Spain we only have "Pasapalabra." Well, and "El Chiringuito," it's a football analysis show, but the analyses are so ridiculous that it falls into the comedy category.

"This will be our venue for today's challenge, i'm sorry if i disappoint you but today we're not doing tourism. The building has 5 floors, which means: 5 challenges you'll have to go through! The theme is simple: children's games. In each round we will eliminate contestants, and in the end, only one will remain to give victory to their team. Understood?"

All the campers nod and are led to the first enclosure. Chris Jr. can be seen with a toy gun, playing with the trigger. On the floor, right in front of him, there is a line marking the finish line, and a few meters ahead, a green line marking the start.

"The first game will be Green Light Red Light! The rules are simple, when I say Red Ligh-"

"We all know how to play, Chris," Levi interrupts.

"Besides, that game has been done before," Barbara adds.

"True! In that Netflix show, what was it called?" Spencer asks.

"Oh no! If they don't pay us we don't mention them. Now let's play!" Chris announces.

"Just out of curiosity, what's inside the gun?" Kira asks.

Then, Chris Jr. fires the gun, watching as a raw meatball flies out of it, soaring across the field and passing an inch over Gretchen's head.

"O-Oh, I'm sorry! I almost hit you!" Junior screams.

"Really?" Gretchen says, seemingly unaware of anything.

"In case you haven't noticed, the floor is quite slippery, so tread carefully. Well, on your marks, get set... Go!"

Most people start running as fast as their bodies allow, except for Harlan, who walks slowly and calmly.

"Red light!" Chris yells.

Spencer falls to the ground due to the momentum, while Charlie takes advantage to stick her foot out and trip Jennifer, who, before falling, grabs onto Levi's shirt, bringing both of them down. All three receive a meatball shot to the forehead.

"What the heck are you doing?" Levi quickly gets up and yells at Jennifer.

"It's not my fault, she pushed me." Jennifer, holding the spot where the meatball hit her, points at Charlie.

"Don't be such sore losers; it's a game. God," Charlotte says, rolling her eyes with a mocking smile.

"Why did you throw Levi, Jen? We don't play dirty!" Liam scolds, leading the group.

Confessional

Jennifer - What did Liam want me to do? Let myself fall without taking away a player from the opponents? If I'm doing such a terrible challenge, at least I have to contribute something.

Charlie - It seems like the Alphas haven't realized, but we're already in the second episode. What did they expect me to do? Let them win so we can all sing Kumbaya together by the campfire? The show is Total DRAMA!

For the second red light, Liam, Ashley, and Kevin are leading the group, already halfway through the enclosure, while Harlan continues walking calmly. The only one shot was Harvey, who couldn't stay still after stopping. The same almost happened to Gretchen, but she is stopped by Charlie, who takes her arm, helping her regain balance.

"Thanks! I almost went straight to the floor!"

"Don't thank me; I'm only helping you because you're on my team"

"Okay Charlie!"

At the end of the track, Kevin is about to cross the finish line.

"Get in already, Kevin!" Celia shouts. But that has the opposite effect, causing Kevin to stand still with crossed arms and a mischievous smile.

Confessional

Harvey - Yeah, physical challenges were never my thing. Once, I almost passed out in P.E, since then the coach helps me pass his class in exchange for giving him a USB with Dragon Ball Z episodes.

Kevin - I'm not going to do what a girl tells me, especially if the last time I listened to her I got hit by an old man!

Two more red lights passed without anyone being shot, Ashley and Liam had already arrived, and Kevin was still at the edge of the entrance.

"Green light!" Kevin takes a quick hop to enter, but he is caught off guard by Chris's immediate "Red light!" and automatically gets shot.

"That's not fair! It literally lasted a millisecond!" he complains.

"Oh, really? I hadn't noticed," says Chris with a sarcastic smile.

After one more green light, Barbara, Celia, Sophia, AJ, Charlie with Gretchen, Ryuuko, and Liam had arrived, and Corey, Pedro, Kira, and Mac were about to arrive, while Harlan continues slowly at the back.

"Red light!"

Quickly, Kira jumps to make it, but she slides when falling, and just as she's about to touch the ground, she's suspended in the air, held by the arm by Corey. Then, pulling Kira back up, Corey falls to the ground from the momentum.

"Red light!"

Corey is shot by Chris Jr., under Kira's concerned gaze.

"Don't worry, win for the team," Corey says, smiling sweetly.

"Thank you, Corey!" Kira screams.

Confessional

Kira - I'm glad to know that Corey is a team player! Now I have to crush this challenge if I want to win for her.

Spencer - That girl is like an angel! (he says, looking dumbly into the sky).

Two more green lights pass, and all the campers have arrived, except Harlan, who at this point is only doing it to annoy.

"Come on, buddy, finish already! The show has a maximum of 30 minutes!" says Chris, quite annoyed.

"The two most powerful warriors are patience and time..." Harlan is holding back laughter as he takes long, slow steps. Two more red lights pass until Chris finally loses patience.

"Green light! Just go or I'll shoot you! Just go!"

"And that folks, is strategy!" Harlan says triumphantly.

The remaining 15 contestants head to the second floor, where they find a court divided into 3 sectors, with a large pile of volleyballs in the center.

"One of the most popular sports in Korea is volleyball, but since it is a boring sport for a challenge... on this floor you will play Dodgeball, Quemados, Prisonball, King's Court, or whatever you call it in your high-school of trust! Of course, I left the volleyballs so that it hurts a little more. You know the rules: if your ball is caught or you get hit by one you're out! The blue zone is for Team Alpha, the red zone for the Amazons, and the green zone for Team Friendship. You have 3 minutes to discuss your strategy."

Everyone quickly runs to their positions with Team Friendship being the first to organize.

"Guys, keep a low profile and a high guard. Just dodge the balls and don't get close to the field's edge, understood?" Harlan orders, and his entire team quickly nods.

"This is easy; I'm the tank! Ryuuko and Sam shoot, Mac and Lucy... just don't get hit or something!" Liam says. Everyone nods and gets into an arrow formation with Liam at the front.

Confessional

Lucy - I don't want to sound too critical of Liam, but I'm pretty sure he's underestimating me.

"Okay, guys, listen to me!" Sophia shouts. "Celia, I need you to-"

"Guys, try to catch as many balls as possible. First we eliminate Team Friendship, then Alpha, let's go!" Kira organizes everyone quickly, and Chris starts the game.

"Yes captain!" the team shouts in unison, leaving Sophia with crossed arms.

Liam is the first to go for a ball and throws it at Celia, who manages to dodge it after letting out a scream.

"So I'm first, huh?" she says, picking up the ball and throwing it at Harlan, who skillfully dodges it.

The war breaks out quickly, with Team Alpha taking an offensive role, and Team Friendship trying to go unnoticed. Lucy sees a loose ball bouncing on the floor and instinctively runs toward it, aiming at Ashley.

"Please, don't do it!" Ashley says, slowly backing away. Lucy pretends to throw it making Ash dodge in vain. Finally, Lucy shoots for real and hits her in the side.

Sam quickly runs to the center and grabs a free ball, throwing it into the Amazons' area. The ball speeds toward Barbara.

"Watch out!" But in a totally heroic act, Pedro throws himself in front of the ball, getting eliminated.

"Pedro! Pedro, you saved me!" Barbara shouts dramatically. She runs to the African guy lying on the floor, putting him on her lap, mourning his death like in a dramatic movie. "Pedro, Pedro please don't die, stay with me!"

"I'm in perfect condition, Miss Barbara," Pedro says, quite confused.

"I know but it looked quite scenic, didn't it?" Barbara says, changing her expression to a proud smile.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Kira throws a ball at Mac, hitting him in the groin.

"My pistachios!" he says, in a high-pitched and almost agonizing voice before droping to the ground.

Quickly and taking advantage of Team Alpha's weakness, Harlan takes a ball that Sophia had thrown at Gretchen, narrowly missing her, and aims it at Sam noticing that she also has a ball and is pointing it at him.

"It's a duel then," Sam says, squinting her eyes.

"We shoot on three..." Harlan replies, loading his shot.

In a Western-style showdown both shoot at the same time, but surprisingly neither is hit, as both balls were stopped in mid-air by two people who appeared in the blink of an eye: for Team Friendship, Charlie, and for Team Alpha, Ryuuko.

"Nice shot," Ryuuko says somewhat sarcastically, dropping the ball to the ground.

"Bye bye Sammy," Charlie says, mockingly. Both Harlan and Sam leave the area with their heads down.

Confessional

Harlan - Ok, first rant of the season... I don't like Charlie, she's exactly the type of person i'd like to avoid, but i can kind of understand why she's popular back in her school. If she keeps being useful in challenges and doesn't cause too much trouble maybe we can work together.

"Time! That's it; only 10 of you left? Dropping like flies, dude; let's go to the third floor," Chris announces.

From the third floor, not much can be seen, as upon exiting the elevator, all that's visible is a black-painted door with a sign above it in red paint that says 'Haunted Hospital.'

"Incredible! I love haunted houses!" Liam exclaims.

"They make me somewhat nervous, what about you?" Gretchen asks. When she turns to look at AJ, she can see him pale with fear.

"S-Something like that..."

Chris's voice begins to echo through the speakers as smoke starts to filter from beneath the door.

"Welcome to the yulyeong-i naoneun hospital... God that's a messed-up name. This hospital was abandoned ten years ago because people claimed the appearance of dark and mysterious forces. Your little mission will be to cross the hospital all together. The first team to arrive complete will keep all its members; the other two will lose members. Ready or not, here we go!"

The hospital doors open.

"You heard him, guys! Let's go!" Liam takes the hands of Lucy and Ryuuko and starts running at full speed into the house.

"You go first, Celia; I've got some allergies," Barbara says, positioning herself behind the Latina girl.

"To ghosts?" Celia asks.

"To anything that can kill me in general."

"Don't worry girls! Follow me and we'll quickly reach the finish line!" Sophia shouts, running into the house.

"We can't leave her alone in there," Celia says.

"Unfortunately. Follow me, girls!" Kira shouts, with the entire Amazon team entering.

"So are we getting in or what?" AJ asks, trying to hide his fear.

"Let's do it!" Gretchen enters, walking slowly toward the haunted hospital.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Charlie takes Gretchen's hand, stopping her. "Since Harlan isn't here, I'm going to be the one giving orders, okay? Let's all go together without separating! And you, ghost boy, guide us."

"Ok!" Gretchen says, taking AJ's hand.

"Sure, sure, this is my challenge," AJ says, more to himself than to others.

Confessional

Gretchen - Charlie is treating me so well! We're living up to the team's name!

Charlie - If people from my school saw me with Gretchen, I'd lose a lot of status. But seeing that she doesn't struggle much with following orders, maybe she could be one of "the chosen ones."

AJ - I-It's not that I'm scared it's just that... Haunted hospitals are the scariest haunted places for me for... r-reasons.

The Team Alpha members are walking through the haunted place. Although it can be seen that the location is not a real hospital but a reconstruction, the few lights and the smoke machine covering making it challenging to navigate around the halls.

"Guys look, it's a chest!" Liam shouts, pointing to a small gray box behind the hospital's reception desk.

"If I were you, I wouldn't open it," Ryuuko says, arms crossed.

"Oh, don't tell me you're superstitious," Lucy says, with a half-mocking smile.

"Even though I know it's all a game by Chris, I don't think we should joke about things like Asian spirits," Ryuuko comments.

"Please, nothing bad will happen! We're just going to see what's insi-" As soon as Liam opens the chest, a white silhouette appears behind him in the smoke of the place. It jumps on him and starts choking him. "Guys! Help!"

"Told you," Ryuuko says before rushing to help Liam.

On the other hand, the Amazons ended up getting lost while trying to find Sophia. The place is so dark that navigation is impossible. They had a fairly simple strategy: to go in a single row with hands on each other's shoulders.

"For a haunted house, there are very few ghosts, don't you think?" Kira asks with a mocking smile.

"Yo! Don't call them; my dad says the more you speak bad things, the easier it will be for them to bite you in the ass," Celia advises.

"Wait a second, who just spoke?" Barbara asks.

"Me, Celia."

"But I thought you were behind me," Barbara says before falling into a chilling silence. "The ghost is behind me, isn't it?"

Confessional

Barbara - I've been waiting my whole life to say that line! It's the cliché of every horror movie! And I've always dreamed of being in one!

Team Friendship is progressing much slower than the others. With every new room they enter or object they find, AJ has to stop to scan them with a small black device.

"It's my EMF reader; it tells me if there's paranormal activity in the area, and the closer I get to that closet, the higher it goes," AJ explains, pointing to a closet at the end of the hallway.

Charlie sighs, quite tired of AJ's attitude, and walks angrily toward the closet.

"See? There's nothing in here!" Charlie swings the closet wide open, revealing a humanoid figure inside, white, faceless, and with a single leg.

"Charlie, there's someone in there," Gretchen says, totally innocent.

"D-Dokkaebi!" AJ shouts, running away at full speed.

"Don't leave us here, AJ!" Charlie yells before the silhouette attacks her.

Confessional

AJ - Dokkaebi are Korean mythical creatures, mischievous goblins with supernatural powers that allow them to move objects! I have no chance against something like that or maybe...

AJ runs at full speed without knowing where he's going until he opens his eyes and sees a door with the word 'exit' written on it in the distance. He can hear Gretchen and Charlie screaming in terror.

AJ takes a deep breath and clenches his fist tightly, finally deciding to turn back and run towards the closet.

"Get away from my teammates!" AJ yells before lunging at the dokkaebi, grabbing its single leg and throwing it to the ground.

"Ouch!" says the Dokkaebi with a feminine voice, easily identified by Charlotte and Gretchen as Emma, Chris's daughter.

"Wait, is that...?" Charlie asks, still somewhat shaken.

"Let's get out of here!" And again, AJ starts running at full speed towards the exit.

"Thank you, AJ! That was very brave," Gretchen says.

Confessional

AJ - I-I couldn't leave the girls lying there! What kind of ghostbuster would I be?! That's when I remembered that Dokkaebi have only one weak spot, their one leg!

"Congratulations, Team Friendship! You're the first to arrive!" Chris announces as Gretchen, AJ, and Charlie exit, all three pale from the scare. "Did you have any close encounters with one of those goblins?"

"Y-Yes," AJ says dryly, sitting on the floor, still filled with fear.

"And here comes Team Alpha!" Chris announces. Liam, Ryuuko, and Lucy come out of the door, with the team captain carrying the figure that had previously attacked him.

"Dad, they're really strong..." the figure says, who, after taking off the mask, is revealed to be Chris Jr.

"You beat up my son?" Chris says.

"I wouldn't call it beat up; they were just a few grabs..." Lucy says.

"A few punches," Ryuuko adds.

"Well, congratulations on completing the challenge, but you arrived second, which means you'll lose a team member of Team Friendship's choice."

"Well... All three are strong competitors, but... I think I'll eliminate Liam," Charlotte points out quickly.

"I feel flattered but offended. You guys got this!" Liam says, raising his fist high before leaving the premises.

"And finally, here come the Amazons." The four girls come running in panic, including Sophia. "I thought you had lost her."

"We found her while running," Kira explains.

"Well, that delay will cost you two members, Charlie, who will it be?" Chris asks.

"I guess... The prep wannabe won't be a problem so she stays." Charlie says, making Barbara frown. "I eliminate Celia and Sophia."

"All right, people who are not eliminated, follow me to the fourth floor."

"I didn't expect it to be so dark in there, I'm sorry girls. But you should have followed me!" Sophia explains.

"You have to start following Kira like the others or else we won't get anywhere, Soph" Celia says, placing her hand on Sophia's shoulder.

The remaining seven contestants follow Chris to the fourth floor: a large room with red lights, and in the center of the room is a large water tank with a balance beam for gymnastics set over it.

"Welcome to the fourth floor where we will play: Trivia Battle! In one-on-one matches."

"Now this is my kind of challenge!"

"The contestants from each team will have to fight to throw their opponent into the water. Before the fight, they can answer a Trivia question that guarantees them a foam weapon to help them. Any questions?"

"You got a thing for sharks, don't you?" Lucy asks, pointing to the water tank, from which a shark briefly emerges, swimming calmly.

"Yup, they help set the atmosphere."

Confessional

Kira — I was trying to be respectful until now, but what is wrong with Chris? Shooting us with frozen meatballs? Making us swim with sharks? Is that even legal?

"All right, I let Emma set up the matchups. Can you tell them, princess?"

"Ugh, sure, but I told you not to call me like that. Kira vs. AJ, Lucy vs. Charlie, and Barbara vs. Ryuuko. Gretchen doesn't fight since their team has an odd number."

"Thanks Emma! You're very sweet!"

Confessional

Gretchen — How lucky! Why did it have to be a shark? I don't like them at all; they're big and scary, and they're mean to the little fish!

Emma — I only did it to avoid putting that girl in danger. I mean, have you seen her? I don't know how she got this far in life.

"All right, first on the agenda, we have Kira vs. AJ! Rapid-fire questions! Kira, what is the best-selling book in history?"

"This is easy, the Bible!"

"That's correct! Take a weapon!" Kira runs at full speed and grabs a foam sword from the pile of weapons.

"Now AJ, name the seven wonders of the modern world."

"Chichén Itzá, the Colosseum in Rome, the statue of Christ the Redeemer, the Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu, Petra, and... the Taj Mahal?"

"Correct!" AJ runs and quickly grabs a foam hammer.

The two boys run straight to the balance beam and cross paths in the center, but the fight doesn't last long. In an agile movement with the sword, Kira disarms AJ and thrusts it into his chest, making him fall straight into the tank. While AJ starts swimming out of the tank at full speed, Kira bows to the camera.

"Thank you! Thank you!" Then Kira realizes that she has thrown AJ into the shark tank. "AJ! Are you okay?"

AJ narrowly dodges a shark bite.

"I'm not!"

AJ, soaked and visibly frightened, clambers out of the tank with heavy breaths.

"Wow, that was close," AJ mutters, trying to catch his breath. Kira, with concern in her eyes, quickly approaches.

"I'm so sorry, AJ. I just got

"I'm fine, just a little scared. I didn't expect to encounter a shark today," AJ replies, offering a nervous smile.

Chris, from the sidelines, watches the situation with a malicious grin.

"Well Kira, welcome to Total Drama. All right, that's a win for Kira. Now, Lucy, in what year did World War II begin?"

"I think it is... Uhm... '39?" She responds dryly and runs to grab a foam spear.

"That's correct. Charlie, your turn. Could you tell me the quadratic formula?"

"Don't you have something harder? X equals negative b, plus or minus the square root of b squared minus 4ac, all divided by 2a," says Charlie, running to grab a foam sword.

Confessional

Charlie — People love to pigeonhole me into the dumb blonde stereotype. If I make the nerds do my school essays, it's not because I don't know, it's because I don't want to.

Lucy — I haven't met someone as egocentric as Charlotte in years. This is going to be quite satisfying.

The two girls meet in the middle of the beam. While Charlie tries to attack Lucy with her sword, Lucy throws her spear in her face and then lunges at her, delivering a punch to her cheek, throwing her into the tank.

A 'uuuuh' is heard from all the contestants.

"What is wrong with you?!" Charlie yells after swimming out of the tank.

"Don't be such a sore loser; it's just a game," Lucy says with a sarcastic smile.

"Oh, you're going to pay!" Charlie yells, pointing at her with a look of hatred.

"Okay, it's time for Barbara vs. Ryuuko! Ryu, what is the atomic number of Argon?"

"How am I supposed to guess that?"

"You don't guess; you know it," Chris says mockingly.

"Ugh, whatever, four," Ryuuko says, rolling her eyes.

"Incorrect. Barbara, what is the name of the swordsman in the anime One Piece?" Chris asks.

"Roronoa Zoro." Barbara responds immediately.

"Uh, I'm surprised you know that," Chris says.

"I only know because a guy who was behind me watched that trash; only losers watch anime," Barbara says, flaunting her hair. She walks to the pile of weapons and grabs a sword.

As they climb onto the beam and face each other, Ryuuko wastes no time grabbing Barbara around the waist and throwing her straight into the tank, without even giving her a chance to attack.

"That was so rude!" Barbara shouts. "You didn't even let me attack; where are your manners?"

"All right, Ryuuko, Gretchen, Lucy, and Kira. The four of you will move on to the final stage, and you will compete for immunity for your team. Ready?"

The four contestants climbed to the fifth floor, a large stage with a floor covered in red. In the center of the stage are three white plastic chairs arranged in a circle. Outside the stage, there are bleachers where all the eliminated contestants are sitting.

"How come only Gretchen is left on our team?" Harvey whispers to Harlan, who simply shrugs.

"Let's go Alpha!" Spencer shouts.

"Alpha... Please! Win!" Jennifer shouts.

"Omg you talked!" Liam says, amazed.

Confessional

Jennifer — So far I'm doing an absolute disasterclass on the game, I've gotta get better or they are going to kick me out. And I can't get first boot! (She says, slightly raising her voice).

"Guys, I didn't want to leave Korea without showing you the most popular thing in their culture, K-Pop! So, for this challenge, I brought you the sensational idol group: Blackpink!" Behind the curtains, a girl appeared, whispering something in Chris's ear. "What? Oh, yes... Uh-huh, sorry. First of all, they're not Blackpink; they're Red Velvet. And secondly, it seems like they won't be able to make it on time, so I'll just play the music on a player," Chris says, clearly disappointed.

"On this floor we'll play musical chairs. There are four of you and three chairs. When the catchy song playing stops, you have to be seated, or you'll be eliminated. Let the game begin!"

The music starts, and the four contestants swiftly move towards the chairs, starting to circle around them. The catchy tune ends, and everyone rushes to grab a chair. Gretchen manages to get in front of an available chair and sits, just like Ryuuko. Finally, Lucy is about to sit when she's pushed by Kira, who takes the chair.

"Get out of the way!" Kira shouts after throwing Lucy to the ground.

"You better not lose, dumbass!" Kevin shouts at Kira.

"That's right queen! We believe in you!" Barbara shouts.

"We believe in you, Gretchen!" Levi shouts.

Confessional

Levi — I didn't believe in Gretchen.

"One contestant per team left! How exciting! This round decides who's heading to the Wagon of shame tonight."

Chris removes one chair, and the music starts again.

"Gretchen! You have to go with the beat, focus only on the rhythm!" Ashley shouts from the bleachers, to which Gretchen nods, closing her eyes.

Finally, the music stops. Ryuuko quickly takes a seat. Gretchen finally opens her eyes and goes to sit in the available chair but stumbles over Ryuuko, fortunately landing in the empty chair before Kira, who ends up sitting on her.

"And in a stroke of luck, Gretchen sends the Amazons team straight to the elimination ceremony!"

"I'm sorry, guys. I really tried," says Kira, looking at her team. Everyone remains in an awkward and bitter silence.

Finally, in one last round to decide the luxury wagon, Gretchen had the fortune to end up in front of the last chair, making it easier for her to sit and ultimately win.

"And the Friendship Team goes to the luxury wagon! Alpha, just settle for not sending someone home!"

"Darn it, we could've won!" Sam says, crossing her arms with anger.

"It was a good game, guys!" Liam shouts, trying to lift spirits.

"But it could have been a perfect one!" Jennifer shouts, frowning. "I-I'm sorry, I'm just on edge right now."

"Don't worry, I'm feeling the same way," Mac says, pursing his lips and raising his eyebrows.

Confessional

Liam — I'm worried that the guys are being too hard on themselves. We're undefeated; we should celebrate! Maybe I need to learn how to give motivational speeches.

"Before heading to the train and giving you about twenty minutes to discuss votes, let me tell you the real reason we have captains on each team this season," Chris says, with his hands behind his back.

"I knew it wasn't all roses," Harlan remarks.

"Nope, let me explain. This season, we've changed the voting method a bit. Now your vote is not free; you can only vote for 'nominated' people. The nominated individuals are two people chosen by the captain... plus the captain themselves," Chris explains.

"So, we're always in danger of elimination no matter what we do?" Liam asks.

"That's correct."

"Quite interesting," Charlotte says, examining her nails.

"Still want to be the captain, Miss Sophia?" Pedro asks under his breath.

"More than ever."

"All right, Kira, I want to hear from you. Which other two people will join you at elimination tonight?" McLean asks.

"I know i didn't made the best challenge but..." Corey says.

"I choose Sophia and Kevin, don't worry girl, you did nothing wrong" Kira concludes, with total calmness.

"Okay, see you in twenty minutes at the Wagon of Shame," Chris says.

In the boys' cabin of the Amazonian team, the only person present is Pedro, who is lying on his bed reading a book calmly. Then, Sophia enters the room.

"Hello Pedrito, good evening!" the Latina girl says.

"H-Hi..." Pedro says, who doesn't seem very thrilled about the visit.

"You look quite elegant, huh? Well, as always. I just came to the cabin to ask if I can count on your vote tonight," Sophia says, with a bright smile, typical of a politician.

"I don't know, I have to discuss it with Miss Kira. After all, she's the captain," Pedro says, shrugging.

"But don't you want to hear my proposal first?" Sophia insists.

"Sorry, but I don't think so. Anyway, I'm pretty sure who you're going to suggest I vote for. I'll think about it," Pedro says, leaving the room.

"Ugh, what am I going to do now?" Sophia asks, looking at the floor. Then, Kevin enters the room. "Kevin, just the person I wanted to see!"

"I know, I know. What do you need me for?" Kevin asks.

"Hey, I think today we'll have to take a risky vote, and you depend a lot on my persuasive power, but I think we can save ourselves. I just ask you to vote with me," Sophia says.

"Whatever, I just want to stay here a few more days," Kevin says, shaking hands with Sophia.

On the other hand, in the girls' cabin, Celia and Barbara are lying on their bed, looking at the ceiling.

"Who are you going to vote for?" Barbara asks.

"I'm not going to tell you, clever girl," Celia says, laughing. "But I was thinking of voting with Kira. I told her, but I don't think she understood me entirely."

"Uh, I'd be interested in voting with you! How about that?" Barbara asks.

"Well, i don't like being in alliances or something, don't confuse me, but for today we can vote together. Look, I'm going to vote for..." And then, the production cut the scene.

"Amazons, welcome to the first elimination ceremony." Upon entering the wagon, the Amazonians see several piles of straw where Chris has sent them to sit.

"So, what are those seats for?" Kevin asks.

"Oh, I also had to tell you that." Through the wagon door, the rest of the contestants enter; the members of the Friendship team even brought snacks for the show.

"I always wanted to see a Total Drama elimination ceremony; I'm glad I'm not at risk in this one," Mac comments, sitting down.

"Don't sit there, tall-ass, you're blocking my view," Ryuuko says, who was behind Mackenzie. The boy had to change seats.

"Start already! I want to see the chaos!" Ashley shouts, taking a handful of popcorn.

"All right, Amazons, it's time to begin the ceremony. You have five minutes to place your votes in the confessional's shoebox."

Confessional

Celia — I'm really sorry, Sophia, but you have a stick up your ass, and i think Kevin's chaotic energy could be of use at some time.

Kira — I'm really sorry, but the person I'm voting for hasn't been very collaborative. Many people approached me with strange proposals but I prefer my vote to be personal.

Pedro — Even though I proposed Miss Kira to collaborate she insisted on keeping the votes private, so I guess I'll have to vote as I initially planned.

Corey — I really didn't want to eliminate anyone so quickly, but I have to vote nonetheless.

Sophia — This game is like democracy, the power lies in the numbers; I just hope to have the necessary numbers for this to go well.

Kevin — What a surprise, a girl made us lose the challenge! Well, she's getting kicked out of the train right now.

Barbara — We better start winning after this because if I don't see what the luxury wagon is like, I'm going to get very violent!

"Alright, the votes have been counted," announces Chris, holding a tray with six marshmallows. "And although all of you stink, only one will be going home today. I've got six marshmallows for seven people. First, those not nominated: Celia, Corey, Barbara, and Pedro, congratulations."

Chris tosses the marshmallows to the mentioned individuals, and Celia attempts to catch it in her mouth without much success.

"Dang!"

"Uh, dad, can i do the roasting thing for the nominees?" Asks Emma.

"Chef always made that part..." Says Chris, looking letting out a nostalgic look. "But i guess you can do it sweetheart."

"Well, ahem, Sophia, you haven't been collaborative with your captain and the rest of your team. Kevin, let's say you're not very liked amongst your team mates"

"But you don't believe that, right?" Kevin says, giving Emma a flirty smile, making Chris frown.

" Uhm... Sure?" Emma responds, a little taken aback by the question. "Lastly Kira, despite being the most valuable member of your team today, you're the captain, and that's why you're here."

"Now, the fifth marshmallow goes to..." Chris announces.

"Kevin. Not even I expected it." The guy manages to catch the marshmallow with his mouth, and then raises his fist in the air to celebrate. "The last marshmallow of the night and the person who is safe from elimination..."

The atmosphere was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Sophia was trying to conceal her nervousness, while Kira was on the edge of her seat, eyes wide open.

"Is..."

"Sophia! I'm sorry, Kira, this is the end of the road for you."

"They mutinied against their captain? Brutal!" Spencer exclaims.

"Didn't see that coming?" Lucy says to Ryuuko, who just shrugs.

Kira is still in shock, gritting her teeth.

"They conspired against me?! Seriously?! Who?!"

"I just want you to know it's nothing personal, this is how the game goes, and I'm glad you've been a worthy competitor." Sophia stands up and, after adjusting her tie, offers her hand to Kira.

"No way I'm accepting that," Kira says. "I thought we were voting for who we thought was best to get rid of from the team!"

"In Total Drama? Oh, girl, you should have studied," Charlotte says, with a malicious smile.

Kira just frowns and grabs her backpack, also taking the helmet that Chris McLean is offering her.

"Well... I must thank those who made my stay on the show enjoyable. Pedro, Corey, Barbara, Celia, Pedro, Harlan, Gretchen, Ashley, Liam, Sam, and Lucy, you can DM me on Instagram anytime. Wait, why are you giving me a helmet?"

"You know, for the jump," says Chris, with a Machiavellian smile.

"Jump? Ah—" And so, Chris pushes the girl through the open door of the Wagon of Shame, making her fall from the moving train. The girl's screams can be heard as they fade away. "You'll be hearing from my lawyer!"

"Now, it looks like the Amazons need a new leader. Any candidate?"

"Okay, guys! It's time to do things like our ancestors would have chosen to do them and decide democratically!" Sophia says, speaking inspiringly.

"I'll do it!" Kevin shouts.

"It's settled, Kevin is the new captain of the Amazons," announces Chris McLean. Sophia stands frozen.

"Now we're talking! Under new leadership, this team won't lose a challenge as long as I'm alive! Let's go!"

"B-But... Kevin isn't qualified!" Objects Sophia.

"I'm the captain of the football team, need more?" Kevin says with a mocking smile.

"B-But democracy..." And sadly, Sophia leaves the Wagon of Shame with a downcast expression.

"Well, I won't bore you anymore, guys. I know you have a party in the common room, but I'll be watching you!" Says Chris McLean. "Now shush! Go away!"

The party had been going on for an hour, with rock music blasting from the common room. In the previous car, the Alpha team's car, Charlie is walking towards Jennifer, who is sitting in the common area reading a book.

"What are you doing here?" Charlie asks, with a furrowed brow.

"I'm studying Sigmund Freud, maybe it'll help me improve in the game," Jennifer responds, without even taking her eyes off the book.

"Studying? Why would you do that? There's like, a party next door, you know?"

"I know but I don't go to parties; they can mess up my work schedule," Jennifer says. "Besides, I heard you weren't going either. Changed your mind?"

"Ugh, mind your own business." Charlie crosses her arms angrily and walks towards the common room.

Entering the common room, Charlie can see that all the lights are off except for one which illuminates a small improvised stage made of wooden crates. Ash is playing her guitar and singing. In front of her, Harlan, Celia, Liam, and Barbara are dancing, and Spencer is there just jumping up and down. The rest of the people are leaning against the wall, sipping on soda and chatting.

"This is one that everyone knows! 'Shot through the heart and—" Ashley stops before continuing her song, seeing Charlie enter the wagon. "Everyone! Look who arrived!"

"Hell Yeah! Ms. Bitter came!" Celia shouts.

"Charlie, you came!" Gretchen exclaims, running towards the blonde.

"It's not a big deal; I just thought this party needed something from the queen bee of this show that's all," Charlie says, shrugging.

"Great! Let's dance!" Gretchen suggests.

"Ugh, why not?" Charlie says, walking to the dance floor.

"Just one question, has your brother had any alcohol or is he acting normal?" Gretchen asks, pointing to the stage. On it, next to Ashley is Kevin, shirtless and with tousled hair.

"Cowabunga!" Kevin shouts, diving into the crowd for them to lift him.

"Don't worry; he's usually like that."

On the side of the room were Harvey and AJ, chatting about trivial matters, Ryuuko and Lucy silently accompanying each other, Spencer trying to talk to Corey and Levi, the latter leaning against the wall in total silence.

"Dude, why the long face?" Harlan asks, walking towards Levi.

"I don't frequent these kinds of parties you know? I'm more into All Time Low, not so much into Kiss," Levi says, shrugging.

"I just had to talk to you; see, I was thinking that maybe we could ally. But let's talk about those boring things tomorrow, now come and dance," Harlan says, taking the boy's hand and pulling him to the dance floor.

"Uh, okay?" Levi says, not entirely convinced but quite excited.

On the other hand, Corey and Spencer had been having a pleasant conversation for quite some time.

"Hey, Corey, whaddaya say about going to dance with me?"

"Oh, I'd love to! But I'm afraid I'm too tired from the challenge; maybe another day," Corey says.

"Cool!"

"Hey, Spencer. Won't you like to dance with me?" Charlie interrupts the conversation, taking Spencer's hand.

"Of course!" Spencer says, getting up immediately.

Confessional

Spencer — First the conversation with Corey goes perfectly and there's already chemistry between us, and now Charlie wants to go out with me? I have two cute girls behind me! Who's the man? Spence is the man.

Corey — Spencer? He's a fun guy; I talked to him because he approached me, but I don't want him to get the wrong idea... Also, he smells a bit like broccoli, not regular broccoli, but funny broccoli, you know?

"They're having a good time, huh?" The scene changes to Chris's quarters, where he is relaxed, sipping a martini, and watching the kids through the security camera. "I have to let them enjoy it; soon their torture will continue! Now they are twenty, who will be the next to fall? Can they withstand the pressure of the show? Who will love, who will hate, and who will come out hurt? Answers to this and much more next week on Total Drama... Express Tour!"

"And here concludes Chapter Two! While in the previous chapter I said that the episodes were going to be shorter I think this one ended up being of similar length, so forget what I said. I really enjoy writing these characters, and I believe that's the reason for the lengthy duration. In this chapter I tried to give a moment to most characters and give them time to interact before start moving the plot, although I feel that some of them are still a bit underused. Who has left the best impression on you so far?

Regarding Kira's elimination, I didn't want to make the first boot predictable, but I also wanted it to make sense, so I ended up eliminating one of the captains for a bit of Shock Value, and it turned into an elimination that gives a lot to talk about. What are your theories and opinions about Kira's elimination? I want to read them in the reviews, speaking of revies, i'd like to do a little bit of review answers!

DaringDF1827 - Thank you for letting me know about that error, I guess I slipped the 'Sofia' out of muscle memory, it's fixed now!

thedragonrooster - I'm glad you're liking AJ! i hope you liked him in this chapter too since i wanted to give him his little "moment to shine".

Tempokeep - That is such a weird coincidence, lmao, and Gretchen not being in a team called named Team Friendship feels pretty weird to me. Congratulations for having Kira on the first boot conversation though. Sam and Pedro are nice guesses, i hope you look forward to next episodes.

Nobody245 - When i was thinking about who could replace Chef as Co-Host i just so happened to be watching disventure camp season 2 and i thought it would be nice seeing Chris trying to be a functional dad, i even thought of naming Emma "Krystal" Just like DC's host, but i think it was a little too much. I also loved the first All-Stars episode btw.

KadachiNova - I'm glad you liked Harvey, Japan really suited him well as a destination. I guess Kevin was the easy first boot seeing that everyone mentioned him, in this chapter i left the whole 'note' plot a a little aside because I wanted to solidify some things before starting the plot, but I swear that in the next chapter you will have news about it.

CodyOnTheBounce T.V - With the whole nomination thing i'm not sure if you're that happy that Harlan is a team captain anymore, but i'm glad you liked his role. I'm sorry if you get a little disappointed because of them not interacting with Korean culture directly, but i wanted to focus on game shows since i didn't in Japan, and specially for doing that squid game parody, but don't worry, i'm sure contestants like Liam, Harlan, Levi and specially Ryuuko have a fanbase calling them oppa constantly XD.

I'm sorry if i can't answer to everyone, but that's all the special answers i can give.

Again, thanks for reading, and I hope to see you soon in the next chapter titled 'The Princess and the Shoe'!
