Chapter seven
--
Soon, Donkey Kong landed in Autumn Heights. There were rodents everywhere and animals just simply doing whatever they wanted. Donkey looked around. He could see windmills off in the distance and a couple of huts.
Donkey Kong walked on the path and noticed why the place was called 'Autumn' Heights. There were large trees with mostly all of them having red and orange leaves.
Donkey Kong passed a couple of Cheesy Chester's as he went and saw a couple of Hootz to. Then he heard a voice. A very familiar voice.
"GET AWAY FROM ME YOU STUPID RODENTS!" Donkey heard someone say. That's when he realised it was Diddy's voice! He peeked around a corner and saw Diddy trying to fight off a bunch of Cheesy Chester's. Without a second thought, Donkey jumped out of his hiding spot and scared the rodents away.
"Donkey!?" Diddy cried. "Diddy!" Donkey said as he hugged his little buddy. "I'm so glad you're ok!" "Same here" Diddy said with a laugh. "How did you find me?" "Well, I was on another island and managed to get here. That's when I heard you screaming at rats." Donkey explained. "Oh, well that makes sense." Diddy stated.
"We've still gotta find the others though." Donkey Kong pointed out. "Get on my back, I'll see if we can find a way outta here." Diddy hoped onto Donkey Kong's back and so Donkey kept walking.
Donkey Kong walked carefully through the windy hills with Diddy on his back. They passed more big windmills that turned slowly in the breeze. The wind was making the leaves flutter and swirl all around them.
Suddenly, they heard a soft noise. "Squeak, squeak!" It was coming from a little furry creature stuck in a bush. "Oh no, that little guy is stuck!" Diddy said.
Donkey Kong gently pulled the leaves apart and freed the tiny creature. It was a baby rabbit! "Thank you!" the rabbit said with a big smile. "I was so scared!"
Donkey Kong smiled back and said, "No problem, little friend. Be careful next time!"
As they walked further, they saw a big, tall windmill. "Wow, look at that, Diddy!" Donkey said. The windmill was turning slowly, making a calming "whoosh, whoosh" sound.
"We should go up there and see if we can spot our friends from the top," Diddy suggested.
Donkey Kong nodded, and they started climbing the windmill. It was a bit tricky, but they were very careful. When they reached the top, they could see all around Autumn Heights. The view was amazing!
Unfortunately, there was no sign of Dixie or Cranky. "We better keep moving." Diddy said. Donkey jumped off of the windmill and kept going.
They had to pass a couple more windmills, climbing on them to get across. The windmills turned slowly, and Donkey had to time his jumps just right. "Hang on tight, Diddy!" he said.
As they moved along, they saw more Cheesy Chesters and Hootz, but Donkey scared them away with a loud roar. "Go away, you pests!" he said.
They reached a big, wide field with tall grass. "Maybe Dixie and Cranky are hiding in here," Diddy said. They looked around, but the grass was very thick, making it hard to see.
Suddenly, they heard a rustling noise. "What was that?" Diddy whispered. But it was just a friendly bunny hopping by. "Phew, just a bunny," Donkey said, feeling relieved.
They kept walking and soon came to a wobbly bridge over a stream. Donkey stepped carefully, and the bridge creaked under his weight. "Don't look down, Diddy," he said. They made it across safely and continued their journey.
After walking for a while, they saw a tall tree with red and orange leaves. "Let's rest here for a bit," Donkey suggested. They sat down under the tree and ate some bananas they had found earlier.
"I'm worried about Dixie and Cranky," Diddy said with a frown. "We'll find them," Donkey reassured him. "We just have to keep looking."
As they rested, they heard the sound of windmills turning in the distance. "We should head that way," Donkey said. "Maybe we'll find some clues."
They got up and continued their adventure, determined to find their missing friends. The path was long, but Donkey and Diddy knew they had to keep going. Together, they were strong and brave, ready to face whatever challenges came their way in the windy, colorful world of Autumn Heights.

I know this was a short chapter but I've been running out of ideas lately. Also I'll probably be uploading new chapters less often because there is a lot going on with my life right now and it's just getting hard. Anyway I hope you enjoyed it!
