Back on the ground
"Panthers don't normally come this way. I thought it was rare the other day when you brought one home. But to have another one that's weird.", Octavia said as Clarke and Lincoln came back with a panther.
"Yeah we were just talking about that. Hopefully they aren't migrating for bad reasons. Where's my mother? I need stitches.", Clarke said then asked Octavia.
"Did sneaking up on him bite you in the ass, Wanheda?", Raven asked with a smirk on her face.
"Shut up Reyes. For your information it was a tree that got me, not the panther. I slipped after the kill and my shoulder broke my fall.", Clarke said to her with an eye roll.
"The great Wanheda gets defeated by a tree. Lexa's going to love that one.", Octavia said as Abby came over to the group laughing.
"Don't encourage them, it'll only make things worse.", Clarke pouted at her mother as she took her jacket off so her mother could assess her wound.
"They have a point, Clarke. The clans think you hold the power of death, yet you get injured by a tree. It doesn't make sense.", Abby said with a chuckle to her voice.
"At least I killed food for us. You three get nothing tonight.", Clarke said jokingly to her family.
"Yeah yeah.", Raven said with a smirk on her face.
"You're being dramatic.", Octavia said with a laugh as Clarke stuck her tongue out at her playfully.
"Lincoln, tell your girlfriend she's mean.", Clarke said to Lincoln in a child-like voice.
"I think you're both being childish.", Lincoln said with a laugh.
"He's not wrong.", Abby said with a chuckle.
"You both suck.", Clarke said as she winced as her mom began to stitch her up.
"I can numb this you know.", Abby said to her daughter.
"I've had worse, it's fine.", Clarke said to her mother with a small smile on her face.
"Not the point.", Abby said to Clarke. "I would also advise you to take antibiotics for a few days.", Abby said to her daughter knowing she wouldn't take them.
"Save them for someone who really needs them. I'm fine.", Clarke said to her mother as Abby continued to stitch her wound up.
"Stubborn.", Abby said which made Clarke chuckle.
"You'd be the same way. I get it from you.", Clarke said with a smirk on her face.
"Your father is just as stubborn.", Abby said to Clarke with a knowing look.
"When are you meeting with your wife?", Raven asked with a smirk on her face.
"She's not my wife.", Clarke said with a shy smile on her face and a slight blush on her cheeks.
"Not yet at least.", Octavia said with a wink at Clarke which got Clarke to blush even more.
"Why did I ever make you guys my family? It's been a mystery to me.", Clarke said with a playful eye roll to let them know she was joking.
"You love us blondie.", Raven said to Clarke with a smirk on her face.
"We should start getting ready to meet Anya. She should be here shortly. Octavia, Raven, and Lincoln you'll be coming with Miller and I. At first I think I should be the only one in the tent. Once I get Lexa's memories back I'll radio for Kane to come meet us. I think having a familiar face for Indra might help the process. I think Lexa will understand a little bit better since of the AI in her head.", Clarke said to the group.
"Take the walkie with you.", Abby said as she handed Clarke the walkie talkie.
"I don't think I'll be needing that.", Clarke said to Abby.
"You never know. Just take it, please.", Abby said to Clarke.
"If it makes you feel better I'll take it.", Clarke said to Abby as she took it from Abby's hand.
"It would make me feel a lot better knowing you have it.", Abby said to Clarke.
"You know I'll be okay. Lexa won't let anything happen to me or anyone that's traveling with me.", Clarke said to Abby with a knowing look on her face.
"Yeah we know.", Octavia said with a laugh in her voice. "Just amuse, Abby, and take the damn thing. If you don't she'll complain the entire time you're gone.", Octavia said to Clarke with a knowing look.
"We should get ready to leave soon. It'll take a little while to get to Polis.", Clarke said to the group of people that were going with her.
"Isn't Anya coming to get you guys?", Abby asked her daughter.
"She is, which is why we should get ready. I'm sure she'll be here soon enough.", Clarke said with a small smile on her face. After the small group packed for travel Clarke saw Anya and Lexa's guards show up.
"Looks like we're ready to go.", Lincoln said to Clarke as he handed her a backpack.
"Thanks, let's head out. You'll hear from me either by tonight or tomorrow morning. Hopefully we can have some more people come down by then. Please stay out of trouble for the time being. Only hunt in TriKru territory. You should be good for food though since Lincoln and I brought back another Panther this morning. We showed you where the spring was for freshwater.", Clarke said to her mother.
"Stop worrying, Clarke. We'll be okay for a few days at best. Just get this rolling with Lexa. We'll take care of the rest. Be safe all of you.", Abby said to the small group that was getting ready to travel.
"I'll keep them safe I promise. I'll send Miller, Lincoln and Raven back once I know what's going on. I'm going to need Octavia and Kane to stay in Polis with me for a little while.", Clarke said to her mother.
"You take care of everyone that's going with you. Dad and I will make sure Bellamy doesn't get into trouble. We'll be fine, I promise.", Abby said to her daughter.
"If anything happens Raven left you a walkie talkie as well.", Clarke said to her mother.
"Use channel 5. Hopefully Mount Weather can't pick that signal up.", Raven said to Abby with a small smile on her face.
"Hopefully we won't need it. Be safe everyone.", Abby said to the small group as they headed towards where Anya was waiting for them.
"Good to see you again Ski Princess.", Anya said to Clarke as Clarke got closer to her.
"You too, Anya. Don't worry about everyone that's here. They're going to stay just outside of Polis until I can get Lexa's memory back.", Clarke said to Anya.
"Just be careful. Heda is already suspicious. I wouldn't doubt that she'll have guards in the trees around Polis.", Anya said to Clarke.
"I know, it's what I would do as well. But trust me these guys will stay out of trouble.", Clarke said to Anya.
"Right. I'm assuming all of you know how to ride a horse?. We will have to pair up.", Anya said to everyone.
"That's fine. You and I on one I'm assuming?", Clarke said to Anya.
"Sha. Roman will walk ahead, everyone else will pair up and grab a horse.", Anya said as she mounted her horse then stuck her hand out to help Clarke onto the horse behind Anya.
"Isn't this one of Lexa's horses?", Clarke asked Anya as they started their ride to Polis.
"No, she is mine. I raised her when I was training to be a second. Lexa must have kept her after I died.", Anya said to Clarke.
"Yeah, she was in the stalls when I stayed in Polis. Lexa almost gave her to me, but never got the chance too. I ended up with her horse when she passed.", Clarke said with unshed tears in her eyes.
"Both are great horses. They are mother and daughter.", Anya said to Clarke.
"Really? I was wondering why they had similar personalities.", Clarke said to Anya.
"I gave Lexa her horse as a gift when she became my second. Rain had just given birth a few months before Lexa became a second. She had to raise Pylon. I am glad you took care of her when Lexa passed. She's a good horse.", Anya said to Clarke.
"She didn't really like me, but I wanted a piece of Lexa with me.", Clarke said with a chuckle.
"Yeah she does not like many people. But you were able to ride her were you not?", Anya asked Clarke.
"I was.", Clarke said with a fond smile on her face.
"Then she liked you. Many have tried to ride Pylon and many have failed. Indra included. She's a tough horse.", Anya said to Clarke with a smirk on her face.
"I guess she really did like me then. Though she always tried to bite me.", Clarke said to Anya.
"That's her way of saying she likes you. She used to bite Lexa all the time when Lexa was first training her.", Anya said to Clarke.
"That doesn't surprise me.", Clarke said to Anya. "Did she like Costia?", Clarke asked Anya. Wanting to know if the horse liked people who loved Lexa.
"I am not sure. I never saw Costia interact with the horses. I believe she did though. There were a few times Lexa rode Pylon with Costia behind her. Though I am not sure if Pylon accepted the ride because Lexa was also there. I am not sure if Costia would have been able to ride her without Lexa being there.", Anya said as she saw Lexa's guard stop. "Roman, chit dula op Yu ai op?", Anya asked as she slowed down and everyone followed her actions. (Roman, what do you see?)
"Ai fig raun der ste a goufa raun forest.", Roman said to Anya as he was looking around their surroundings. (I think there is a child in the forest)
"Natblida?", Anya asked him. (Nightblood?)
"They shouldn't be out this far if they are training, right?", Clarke asked Anya.
"Sometimes Titus will take them out this far. But usually Heda has to okay it, and guards are usually up in the trees to protect them. Which they are not.", Anya said to Clarke.
"I know some of the kids like to escape here and there. Maybe someone decided to take a trip out.", Clarke said to Anya.
"Stupid children. They're going to not only put themselves in danger but everyone else as well.", Anya said with frustration in her voice.
"I'm sure you and Lexa got into trouble as kids.", Clarke said with a smirk on her face.
"Lexa, yes, she was a pain as a child. I don't recall getting into trouble myself.", Anya said, which got Clarke to giggle.
"Jos an bis", Roman said as they continued their ride. (Just an animal)
"I think you were both a pain to deal with.", Clarke said with a laugh to her voice and a knowing smirk on her face.
