"So how do we save her?", Clarke asked her mother, hoping for a good answer.
"We go in and see if we can find the source. We're going to need all hands on deck.", Abby said to Lexa, Lincoln, and Octavia.
"Whatever you need help with.", Octavia said as the other two nodded their heads to agree.
"Lincoln and Lexa, I need you to help me flip her. Clarke, go sanitize your hands.", Abby said to her daughter. "I need everyone to sanitize their hands after we flip her. We're going to need help.", Abby said to them.
"We'll help.", Octavia said to her adoptive mother.
"Alright, Clarke prep Raven while I'll sanitize.", Abby said as she started to wash her hands.
"Lincoln we're going to need more than one flashlight. There's another one in my bag.", Clarke said as she was prepping Raven.
"You got it.", Lincoln said as Abby traded spots with Lexa.
"Should we get Nyko back here?", Clarke asked as Abby came over to Raven.
"We don't have time. We can do this.", Abby said to her daughter as she started to open Raven back up. "Octavia, point one flashlight here. Lexa take the other one and shine it here.", Abby said to the girls as they took a flashlight and shined them where Abby instructed them. "Actually Lexa, switch with Lincoln. I'm going to have you reach in and clamp a spot.", Abby said as Lexa handed the flashlight to Lincoln and pinched the spot where Abby told her to.
"Can you see anything?", Clarke asked her mother.
"No but I can feel something. Feels like it's enlarged in her spine.", Abby said to her daughter.
"I thought I got everything out of her spine.", Clarke said to Abby.
"Clarke, you did a great job. It's in a spot that no one can see.", Abby said to Clarke.
"Yeah but I should have felt around better, this isn't good mom.", Clarke said to Abby.
"Clarke, I was helping and I did not feel it either. You did a great job, no one could have predicted this. Stop doubting yourself.", Lexa said to Clarke with a loving smile on her face.
"You were a boss before, this was just shit luck.", Octavia said to her adoptive sister.
"Yeah yeah. Is this going to cause more paralysis?", Clarke asked her mother.
"You and I both know that we can't tell that until the swelling goes down. That could take weeks or months. She's been through this before she's strong. Hopefully she'll have better movements than last time. You did do the surgery a lot sooner this time around.", Abby said to her daughter.
"That alone will give her a better chance. Won't it?", Octavia asked out loud.
"It makes the percentages a lot higher. She still might have some mobility issues but hopefully not as bad as before.", Abby said as she continued to work on Raven. "This piece is stuck, Clarke grab the small forespes please.", Abby asked her daughter.
"Here you go.", Clarke said as she handed her mother the surgical tool that she needed.
"There's so much blood. Grab some cloths we need to soak some of this up.", Abby said to her daughter.
"She's going to need another blood transfusion.", Clarke said to her mother as she started to soak some of the blood up.
"I can give her some more of my blood.", Octavia said to them.
"You did already. I'm a universal donor as well. I'll give her some after surgery.", Abby said to Octavia.
"What if she needs more?", Clarke asked her mother.
"I believe I'm a universal donor as well.", Kane said with a small smile on his face.
"Thank you Marcus.", Clarke said to Kane.
"Not a problem.", Kane said to Clarke.
"Octavia, is she running a fever?", Abby asked Octavia who looked at Raven and touched her forehead.
"She's not warm, she's a little clammy but not hot.", Octavia said to Abby.
"Just keep an eye on her please.", Abby said as she continued to work on Raven.
"I got her.", Octavia said to her adoptive mother.
"Clarke, see if you can get the piece from your angle. I can't seem to get it from this angle.", Abby said as she handed the surgical tool over to Clarke.
"If we can't get it?", Clarke said to Abby.
"We'll worry about that when it comes to that.", Abby said to Clarke as Clarke was trying to feel around for the piece that was inside Raven.
"I think I can get it.", Clarke said as she worked on Raven. "Lex, can you pinch right here please?", Clarke asked Lexa.
"Of course.", Lexa said as she pinched where Clarke told her to.
"I think I can only get part of it.", Clarke said to her mother.
"Try and get the whole thing. I don't think she can survive a third surgery.", Abby said to her daughter.
"No pressure.", Clarke said to her mother.
"Sorry, just stating facts.", Abby said as Clarke continued to work on Raven.
"I know I just promised her that I wouldn't let her die.", Clarke said to her mother.
"She won't.", Lexa said to her future wife and mother-in-law.
"You guys got this, we know you wouldn't let any of us die.", Octavia said to them.
"Sadly it's not up to us. Remember the higher being did say some people have to die and we weren't given a notebook with names.", Clarke said out loud to everyone.
"If we can help it no one will be dying.", Abby said to her daughter with a small smile on her face.
"She's going to need a hospital if we can't get this under control.", Clarke said to Abby with fear in her tone of voice.
"If she can make the trip to Polis, we have great healers there. You would also have room for your machines that can help her.", Lexa said to Abby.
"She's our way back up to the arc.", Clarke said to Lexa.
"You can control the dropship with Monty's help. I'll go with you, we can bring back the machines we need and Jackson.", Octavia said to Clarke.
"Shouldn't Jackson stay up there in case they need a doctor?", Kane asked.
"He should, but he could help stabilize her.", Abby said as she and Clarke continued to work on Raven.
"The question is, can we get her stabilized to move her to Polis?", Clarke asked her mother.
"We can, you'll have to leave as soon as we're done to get Jackson though. There will be a time limit.", Abby said out loud.
"No pressure.", Clarke said to Abby.
"You can do this.", Lexa said to her with love in her eyes.
"Alright, Kane, can you contact Monty while we do this, please.", Clarke asked Marcus.
"You got it.", Kane said as he grabbed his walkie talkie. "Monty you there?", Kane asked into the walkie talkie.
"Monty here, we haven't heard from anyone in a while is everything alright?", Monty asked over the walkie talkie.
"We have a bit of a problem. Raven was injured by an arrow. Clarke and Abby are doing a second surgery on her. They are in need of Jackson and some machines. Clarke and Octavia will come up to get Jackson.", Marcus said to Monty.
"Of course whatever you need we'll gather up.", Jaha said into the walkie talkie. "How bad are we talking?", Jaha asked with concern in his voice.
"It's bad.", Marcus said with fear in his voice.
"We're going to get her stable enough to be moved to Polis with Lexa. But we need Jackson to help and we need an oxygen machine and a heart monitor. She has a heart murmur. I need to know what's going on internally. A sedative wouldn't hurt either, and some more antibiotics.", Abby said as she listed off the supplies she needed.
"You'll get everything you need. I'll inform Jackson that he's needed on Earth with supplies. When should we expect you and Octavia, Clarke?", Jaha asked.
"I'll radio back once we have her stable. Thank you Jaha.", Clarke said out loud.
"You're very welcome.", Jaha said as Kane turned the walkie talkie off.
"Marcus, do you think you could work the dropship with Jake and Octavia? I think it would be wise to have my daughter come with us to Polis.", Abby asked as she and Clarke continued to work on Raven.
"I think we can manage.", Kane said with a small smile on his face. "Should we head to the dropship now? You can radio us when you start heading to Polis.", Kane said to them.
"We need someone to hold the other flashlight.", Clarke said as Anya slowly walked over to the group.
"I could help.", Anya said to everyone.
"You should be resting.", Abby said to the young woman.
"I have rested enough, a warrior is in need of assistance.", Anya said as she took the flashlight from Octavia and kept it in the same spot she did.
"Alright, head back to the dropship. Take Bellamy with you he can help, send Miller here he can come with us to Polis.", Clarke said with a small smile on her face.
"Sounds like a plan.", Marcus said as he and Octavia started getting ready to travel.
"Will you be okay without O?", Clarke asked Lincoln.
"She'll be back, I trust Kane.", Lincoln said to Clarke with a small smile on his face.
"Good.", Clarke said as she and Abby were still doing Raven's surgery.
"We'll be back, should we head to Polis as soon as we get back down here?", Octavia asked Clarke.
"I'll leave Anya here, she can escort you three to Polis. I'll have Indra meet you outside of the gates.", Lexa answered for Clarke.
"Sounds like a plan.", Octavia said with a small smile on her face.
"Not that you need it but be safe.", Clarke said to the two of them.
"We will.", Marcus said before they headed out of the hut.
"They'll be able to work the dropship right?", Abby asked her daughter.
"Yes, with Monty guiding them.", Clarke said with confidence.
"Did we get all of it?", Abby asked as Clarke was feeling around.
"I can't feel anything. Is she going to be okay to travel to Polis?", Clarke said then asked her mother.
"The only way to know is to move her.", Abby said to her daughter. "Hopefully that was the last of the arrow.", Abby said to Clarke.
"If she needs another surgery you said she won't make it. So let's hope that was the last of the arrow.", Clarke said to Abby.
"I said she may not survive another surgery. If that's the only thing that's going to save her then we'll have to do another one. She's tough, either way it's in her hands.", Abby said to her daughter.
"You better not die on me.", Clarke said to Raven in a serious tone of voice.
"She'll be fine.", Lincoln said to Abby and Clarke.
"She better be. I won't be too happy with her if she dies on me.", Clarke said to Lincoln.
"Alright I'll start closing her up. Everyone get ready to travel. We have a time limit.", Abby said to everyone.
"Anya.", Lexa said to Anya.
"Sha Heda.", Anya said to Lexa as she sat down on her bed.
"I am glad you are alright.", Lexa said to her former mentor.
"The skai gada makes yu kwel.", (The sky girl makes you weak.) Anya said to Lexa with a smirk on her face.
"No, she makes me stronger.", Lexa said as she looked at Clarke with a loving smile on her face.
