Chapter 16

(Third Person P.O.V.)

As Max, Rachel and Chuck all boarded Behemoth and took off after the larger aircraft that not only had their main bad guy but Kubo and Roberto on board as well, both Kubo and Roberto were being brought on to the main bridge of said larger aircraft which they found out was called the Javelin.

On the Javelin's bridge Kubo and Roberto looked at each other before looking at their captor who merely looked back at both of them and while annoyed and slightly curious asked, "So Roberto and Kubo, who are you two really, and how did you two both get on my Javelin?"

Now a look of curiosity was upon both Kubo and Roberto who asked at the same time, "Javelin?" together in unison curiously, their facial expressions matching their tone of voice as they turned around and looked at their captor who merely looked back at them and replied, "Impressed, you should be." as one of his men handed him a handheld display device.

Roberto then looked around and with an astonished tone of voice said, "She's just so big, and the drag coefficient alone..." along with Kubo next to him, his tone of voice matching both his own and Kubo's facial expressions as their captor then looked at them and replied, "Drag co- Finally some like minded people who can appreciate her, I designed her when I was nineteen." as he eagerly and enthusiastically got out of his chair and handed the display device to Roberto who along with Kubo looked at the small screen to see digital schematics of the Javelin, they then looked further down to the bottom of the screen to find the name of their captor as Kubo and Roberto then looked at him and Kubo both's tones and faces screamed with surprise and amazement, "Wait you're Lance Breamer, I thought I recognized your face and voice from somewhere."

Roberto now having matching facial expressions to finding this out, as Mr. Lance Breamer then looked at them and said, "Oh so you two both have heard of me." with a raised eyebrow as he looked at the duo.

Roberto then said, "Hasn't everyone?" a little shocked in response in his tone of voice as he and Kubo looked at Lance with matching facial expressions as Lance then replied, You'd be surprised, the powers that be don't appreciate genius! That's too expensive Lance! That's too impractical." with a bit of bitterness in his voice with a matching facial expression as Roberto then said, "I guess not everyone wants a flying fortress." trying to agree with Lance's sentiment as Kubo nodded in agreement.

Lance then turned around and looked at them and stated, "Not everyone knows what they want." bitterly and with a raised eyebrow, to which Kubo then said, "Well certainly you must, after all we've seen your collection." trying to cheer Lance up who merely looked at him and said, "Ha, that worthless junk!" sourly, his facial expression matching his tone of voice, as Roberto then said, "Wait but if they're worthless then why even bother?" curiously his tone of voice matching his facial expression the Kubo shared with Roberto as Lance then exclaimed, "Simple, revenge my two good buddies, proof of Javelin's superiority, man don't you boys get it, I'm king of the sky!" eagerly and enthusiastically, his facial expression matching his tone of voice as he raised his hands above him into the air.

Meanwhile back on Behemoth Max, Chuck and Rachel were all on the bridge/cockpit area of Behemoth as Chuck then exclaimed, "I set a course based on the last trajectory we got from both Kubo and Martinez!" seriously, his tone of voice matching his facial expression as he continued to pilot Behemoth as Rachel who was in the co-pilot seat then said, Just hang on Kubo and Roberto, hang on." slightly worried her facial expression matching her tone of voice as Max placed a hand on her shoulder.

Back on the Javelin Lance was now playing against Roberto in a game of Chess as one of his men stood behind him and Kubo stood behind Roberto watching the game as Lance then looked at Roberto and said, "I'll make this quick and painless." as he now had Roberto in Check as the man behind Lance applauded him, Roberto then made a counter move and simply said, "Checkmate." casually his facial expression matching his tone of voice.

Lance then got out of his seat and looked at both Roberto and Kubo behind him and said, "Hmm, you're good, it takes brains to beat me and guts to do it while your at my mercy. You guys are too good to be a couple of spear carriers for these halfwits, whoever they are." very enthusiastically his facial expression matching his tone of voice, as Kubo then said, actually Lance if I may, I'll tell you who they and we are. They are members of N-Tek, and before you ask, yes that N-Tek the company that makes all of the gear and equipment for all of the extreme sports athletes, which is just a cover up for what we really do, that of course being intelligence, counter intelligence and anti-terrorism, and Roberto and I are not only members but scientists and engineers for N-Tek." calmly and casually, his tone of voice matching his facial expression as Lance then looked at him and said, "Hmm, tell me more." curiously with a matching facial expression with a raised eyebrow as Kubo then looked at him and simply replied, "Gladly." happily his facial expression matching his tone of voice.

"You see Lance you mentioned before how nobody appreciates genius, well that isn't true because all of the higher ups at N-Tek do, after all look at me and Roberto and best of all we get the satisfaction of knowing that the work we do and the things we created will be used for the greater good and to protect the world and innocent people from lots of bad people like this one terrorist group called Dread, in fact maybe you should consider joining N-Tek as well, your work would be much more appreciated and you would get the credit and recognition from your peers that you deserve, plus there are lots of benefits to working for and being a member of N-Tek."

Lance then looked at both Kubo and Roberto and then put a hand to his chin as he took a moment to think before saying in the tone of why didn't I think of that, "Hmm, interesting, you know I never really thought about it like that, I mean I always thought I needed to get back at all of the people who just shut me down by doing what I'm doing now, but what you said actually sounds much more appealing to me." completely astounded by what Kubo had said as Roberto then said, "So does that mean you'll join us?" curiously his tone of voice matching his facial expression as he and Kubo looked at lance who merely looked back at them and said, "Sure why not, after all sure beats the hell out what I am currently doing." happily, his tone of voice matching his facial expression.

But just then the man behind Lance grabs him by the neck from behind and puts a gun to Lance's back and exclaimed, "Oh I don't think so Lance, you see there is a bit of a change in leadership here on Javelin and let's just say that the organization that Mr. Kubo over there just mentioned, Dread, I have actually been in contact with them and their leader whom the group is named after, he is also very interested in the Javelin as well as any other little creations of yours which I agreed to sell to him." very casually as two other men came and pointed their guns at Kubo and Roberto and escorted them away as Lance angrily exclaimed, "You DAMN traitorous bastards aren't going to get away with this!" as he was escorted elsewhere along with Kubo and Roberto.

At the site of the Shuttle landing just as the shuttle was approaching the landing site it was then swallowed up by the fog and then was brought into Javelin, to which fighter jets were launched in response, only for the javelin to shoot down the fighter jets with its lasers, and continued to fire causing massive damage on the ground, just then Javelin took a direct hit as one of the men worryingly stated, "Something shot down engine four!" to which the man behind the coup said, "What do you mean something?!" to which the other man at the controls quickly yelled in horror," I don't know, there's nothing there!"

Outside in the sky Behemoth was right behind the Javelin and fire two more missiles and scored another direct hit, but stopped when Chuck stated, "As long as they got both Kubo and Martinez we can't risk a dog fight." over the communicators, to which Max then said, "Sounds like my cue." as he used a jet pack and flew on to and into the Javelin.

One of the men at Javelin's controls then exclaimed, "We've lost engine two and there's a security breach in the main bay!" in a panicked and worried tone of voice as the door was then busted open and they saw Kubo, Roberto, and Lance together, but there was someone else with them, it was Max but he was in stealth mode as the men then charged at the three they could see only for max to beat and incapacitate them, to which the man responsible for the coup then grabbed Roberto and pointed his gun at him and said "None of you move, and whoever beat my comrades come out and show yourself." to which Max dropped his stealth mode only for Lance and Kubo together to tackle the man holding Roberto hostage and take his gun away and for max to pick him up over his head and shoulders and throw him head first into the wall, knocking him out.

Lance then took the controls and with Kubo and Roberto's help they were able to land the Javelin roughly but safely, later on all of Lance's former subordinates were taken into custody and both Kubo and Roberto explained everything to everyone at N-Tek, Lance was currently on probation as while he did steal all of the aircraft originally, he turned returned all of the aircraft he stole and turned himself in and for helping to apprehend all of his former subordinates who had betrayed him with the intention of selling the Javelin and all of his other creation to terrorists on the black market he was given a lighter sentence of having to do service for N-Tek while in their custody and was given a year and half of probation.

Omake

Later on Kubo and Roberto were at Pete's birthday party talking to each other, Kubo then looked at Roberto and said "You know Roberto, with under sea normal space and sky pirates it looks like Dread is just a pirate fleet gone modern." jokingly, as he smiled at his boyfriend Roberto who merely laughed and while jokingly stating, "Well, Arg, me darling you be right." jokingly as he looked back at his boyfriend.

Kubo with a smile who looked back and laughed and smiled as he joyfully carried on the joke, "Oh you scurvy dog." as the two of them both laughed and smiled happily together as Pete who was with Akihisa, Yuuko and all of his other friends blew out the candles on his birthday cake.
