Chapter 21

(Third Person P.O.V.)

After using the Hydro Jet which was then converted into a four-wheeler to get onto the Island Akihisa as Max Steel and Yuuko together searched the Island to try and find clues, which they did when they saw an abandoned jeep with a business card and pictures in it, two which Max held them so both Roberto and Kubo could get a look at them as the business card had a name on it that they searched as Roberto announced, "Effrem comma Dwight, the database says he has a PhD in Volcanology." informatively over the communicator as Yuuko chimed in and asked, "Then why is he photographing cargo ships instead of craters?" inquisitively with a matching facial expression as she held up some of the photos to Max so he and therefore also Roberto and Kubo all could see them.

Max then pointed out, "Check it out the ship that's heading out, it's water line is higher." calmly and deductively with a matching facial expression as he looked at the photos and therefore was able to allow Roberto and Kubo to see them as well through both camera visual and the communicator, as Yuuko then replied, "Exactly, they're leaving the Island fully laden, but the question is, with what and from where exactly?" inquisitively with a matching facial expression as Kubo chimed in on the communicator saying, "Scanning, now." as he and Roberto both searched for matching satellite images to the photos and found it as Kubo then proclaimed, "Got it, the location is on the North side of the Island heading thirty-four degrees." as Roberto then praised and complimented Kubo, exclaiming, "Great job my dearest Kubo." lovingly with a matching smile on his face as Kubo replied, "Oh it was nothing." with a blush on his face as Max and Yuuko got on the four wheeler ATV and Max announced, "We're there!" before driving off to the location.

After arriving Max and Yuuko looked around and found nothing Max stated, "It's a sheer cliff, nowhere to dock or take on a load." plainly with a matching facial expression as Roberto responded over the communicator, "Kubo and I both are telling you guys, this is where those pictures were taken." honestly as Yuuko interjected, saying, "Then this is where we'll wait." sternly with a matching facial expression as she and Max turned around and started waiting patiently for something out of the ordinary to happen.

After waiting for a while something finally happened: giant hidden automatic doors opened letting out a cargo ship while Max and Yuuko looked on as Yuuko proclaimed, "It looks like all of that waiting finally paid off." before pulling out a grapple gun and shot it at the ground before telling Max, "We gotta move, quickly, before that hatch closes." urgently with a match matching facial expression as she jumped and used the line from her grapple gun to scale down the cliff as Max replied, "Way ahead of you!" eagerly with a matching facial expression as he instead dove straight into the water from the cliff before Yuuko reached as far as the line of her grapple gun would go before jumping into the water after Max and both of them quickly swimming into the hidden area before the doors closed.

After surfacing Max and Yuuko looked around and saw that the place was full of DREAD's people, as Max stated, "Dread minions, I wonder whose crew boss, Dragonelle, L'Etranger?" curiously as Yuuko chimed in exclaiming, "We need to find out what's in those crates first." as Max immediately responded, "I doubt they'd just let us stroll up and take a peek." as they looked at one of the Dread minions driving a transport vehicle somewhere as Max then mentioned, "But I'll bet we can find the answers in there." deductively with a matching facial expression before they both activated stealth mode and turned invisible and got out of the water and followed in the direction where the transport vehicle went which led them down a system of tunnels as Max said, "This way, quick!" beckoning Yuuko to follow him, which she did as they both ran but ended up at a dead end.

"Dead end, let's back track and try another-" Before Max could finish his sentence a huge mobile drilling machine burst out in front of them and was heading straight towards them, Max and Yuuko then ran away from it but it was quickly catching up to them, Yuuko tripped and fell over but Max helped her back up to her feet, seeing the giant mobile drilling machine almost about to catch them, Max activated Turbo mode on his Bio-link and shouted, "GOING TURBO!" before rapidly punching the wall next to them, smashing and creating a large indentation for him and Yuuko lean their backs up against, allowing the giant mobile drilling machine to miss them and harmlessly pass by them as they then got out of the indentation Max made and watched the machine keep moving forward, as Kubo then spoke over the communicator proclaiming, "A giant mobile drilling machine, tunnels underneath the volcano, I don't get it, what's Dread after?" curiously with a matching facial expression as Max retorted, "Only one way to find out." as he and Yuuko ran in the direction in which the giant mobile drilling machine was going.

Upon following in the direction the drilling machine was going Max and Yuuko both found themselves in a tunnel way with dangerous thermal gas channels spewing out dangerously hot thermal gases as Max exclaimed, "We had to pick the one volcano without air conditioning." sarcastically with a matching facial expression while he and Yuuko both simultaneously avoided getting hit from the spewing gas channels before coming to a steep slope, before a tremor caused the ground underneath them to give way, causing the two of them to fall in and land right at the feet of two Dread minions, one male and one female, both of whom had stun batons at the ready as Max looked up at them and asked, "Oh, hey, what's up?" jokingly and sarcastically as the two henchmen tried to reach for and capture the two of them, only for Max and Yuuko to turn the tables and knock them both out and steal their uniforms and helmet masks before continuing on to try and find out what DREAD is up to in the volcano, as Max looked to Yuuko and said, "Who knew one size fits all when it comes to these DREAD henchmen uniforms." enthusiastically as they continued on and found there way back to where the rest of the DREAD henchmen were working as they watched what the henchmen were all doing and Max stated, "It's a giant mining operation." informatively as Yuuko chimed into the communicator to Roberto and Kubo, "Kubo, Roberto we need you guys to run a spectrum analysis on that ore that they're mining." to which Kubo and Roberto did just that as Roberto replied, "It's platinum, more valuable than gold on the open market, that mother load is as rich as it looks, Dread could be socking away enough to bank roll his terrorist activities for decades." over the communicator before Max and Yuuko while still wearing the DREAD henchmen outfits were spotted by another henchman who called out to them, loudly ordering them, "Hey you two, take that load to the ship for transport." to which Max and Yuuko both just walked off without saying a word to do as the henchman who ordered them looked on before turning around and going in the opposite direction.
