Chapter 27

Tuesday and most of Wednesday had passed in a rush of classes and meetings and Miraculous training. Thursday was shaping up to be just as chaotic. Marinette had barely made it into the door of the office building when Ally had rushed up to her and left a dozen files in her hands as she dashed past. Marinette groaned when she saw them. She made her way up to her office to look them over, eliminating a couple and making notes in the others. They would need to have a meeting with the board to finalize everything soon. By ten Marinette was rushing across town to The Liberty. Luka met her at the door for a kiss and offered to help her with her homework. An hour later she was fast asleep. Luka watched her sleep worried about her.

Friday morning Marinette woke to Luka shaking her.

"Sorry, Darling but you hit snooze like 10 times now. It's time to get up,"

"Right," Marinette groaned getting up. Ten minutes later she was dressed and ready to head out. Luka was waiting in the kitchen with a cup of coffee.

"So did you still want to move into the apartment this weekend?" he asked

"Do I want to?" Marinette smiled, "no. However I am going to,"

"You sure you don't want to move in here?" he asked

"With Ma, Juleka, and Rose walking in?" Marinette smiled, "I was actually thinking you should bring some of your stuff to the new apartment too. I am going to leave some things here. I am going to need to be at the apartment some nights and I have kinda gotten used to sleeping with you,"

"Darling do you want to move in together?" he asked wrapping his arms around her

"Maybe," Marinette said softly

"Okay let's do it," he said

"Great you can tell my parents," Marinette smiled

"Melody, your parents sent you to stay with me while they were out of town I doubt they will have any issues with it,"

"Oh I know they won't," Marinette smirked, "however that will not stop the grandbaby talk,"

"Are they for or against?" Luka grinned

"I am going to get dressed," Marinette said playfully hitting him as she walked away

"That didn't answer the question," Luka chuckled,

"You can find out when you tell them," Marinette laughed as she grabbed her school bag, "come on Rockstar let's get going before we are late."

The next three weeks passed in a blur of packing, moving, and dealing with getting the new storefront up and running. Designers were hired. Models were vetted and interviewed. An entire production team assembled. Finally, a month later they were preparing for their official opening and first open house fashion show. Marinette left everything to Ally and Austin knowing that they would have it all under control. They had decided to launch over the weekend and Marinette was taking the first half the week off from anything related to the business to focus on school and spend some quality time with her boyfriend in their new apartment…well Adrien said it wasn't an apartment but a penthouse but Marinette had given up arguing with him about it. All that mattered was that she and Luka had their space that they and the kwamis could call their own.

Adrien and Kagami had moved into one of the apartments a few days prior and Juleka and Rose were planning to move into one at the end of the school year. Alya and Nino were still trying to decide if they were going to accept Marinette's offer or not.

As for the meeting with Gabriel…well they accepted his offer on the condition that he terminate Adrien's non-compete contract and allow him extra freedom. He had immediately agreed and contracts were signed. He was gifting it to Adrien and Kagami at the end of the school year as a graduation gift. While he and Kagami suspected something going on they were just going along with it for the time after Marinette told them they were sworn to secrecy until after graduation.

As for Lila well…she was still Lila but now everyone just let what she said to go in one ear and out the other. They pretended to adore her at school but tended to avoid her outside school.
