A Different Future… 1
As Danny continued to mentally prepare himself, she arrived.
Danny saw her walking down the street, hiding his nervousness with a smile.
Here she comes… I got this, right? Right? He asks himself mentally.
She waved to him, making him take a breath and wave back.
He held the rose up, trying hard not to lose his nerve as his usual reaction to attractive girls returned.
"Somehow… everything I've been through up to now, even counting two really sucky timelines, doesn't scare me this much." Danny whispered to himself.
As she caught up to him, she stood before him with her hands behind her back.
"I made it." She said.
"I'm…I'm really glad that you agreed to this…" Danny said in a shy voice.
"I'm really glad that you asked me to come here…" She said, showing off that smile that made Danny feel so many things right now.
Danny took a deep breath, it was time to stop being shy and just be honest with her. To tell her about his feelings and the question he wants to ask her. He pushed aside all the pleasant thoughts he had that were keeping him from speaking what he needed to, and to find out her answer.
"Look…I…I have to be honest with you, I know that we haven't known each other very long…but I really like you…a lot…'Danny said, his heart still fluttering.
"I like you too, Danny…" She said with a smile, all while speaking in that sweet sounding voice that made Danny feel a lightness that not even being unaffected by gravity could match.
Focus, Fenton…you got a job to do here… Danny thought as he tried to avoid mentally shutting down and say what he wanted to say to her.
"Look...I know that we haven't known each other very long, but….I think we have a connection…I can't lie, I have been out with a lot of girls since I joined the service, and while I did grow to care about many of them, you're the one who I couldn't stop thinking about the most…" He noticed a small blush form on her face. "I got some other girls who wanted me as their next date, but you're the one whom I want to be with here today…" Danny said.
"Likewise…" She said to him before realizing how that sounded. "Well… guys, in my case." She added with a light smile.
Danny chuckled before he took a deep breath, needing to do this now, before he loses his nerve.
"I think you're amazing…you're so strong, so smart and so beautiful…I think we truly have something between us…something special…so…what…what I am trying to say is…" With a gulp, he finally said it. "Marinette Dupain-Chang, will you please go out with me?"
"And in second place is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, aka Ladybug from Miraculous Ladybug." NeoMark said.
"Cool." FP11 said.
"Marinette was second place?" BCFW asked with a nonchalant shrug.
"I'm not surprised, going off all the reviews." 61394 said.
"I can't believe that she made it in second place! I thought Kim would've won. Yessssssssssss!" PFN said, doing the dance of a very melon song.
"I wonder if Hawk Moth will try to akumatize Sam." Luiz4200 said.
"Wait… is he in Paris?" Deadpool asks.
"Just wait." NeoMark said.
"I'd be honored to." Marinette said with a smile before a thought crossed her. "How'd you get here?"
"I asked a friend named Frostbite who showed me the way here through a portal… one that'll close in…" Danny looked at his phone. "3 hours."
"Oh. So…" Marinette put a finger on the side of her head in thought. "I guess if we're gonna have a second date… it should be now?"
"Only if you're okay with it." Danny said politely.
"I am. It's why I came, after all." Marinette said.
With a smile, Danny offered his hand, which Marinette took. Now, their second date has begun.
1 hour later
After getting a bite at a little café, Danny and Marinette walked together.
"So… we're 9 hours ahead of your time. It's 1 right now. That must mean it's… 4 AM back home." Marinette, realizing that Danny's well past when he should be asleep, made a face contorted with displeasure for what his body must be going through. "Good thing it's summer…"
"Don't worry… I went to bed pretty early. By that I mean I slept at 8, got up at around 1 AM…" Danny's eyes started to become half-lidded. "And… I'm starting to feel the effects of staying up…"
"Oh dear…" Marinette lightly pushed him to a bench. "Sit, sit…"
Danny did so, yawning a bit as he rubbed his eyes.
"I haven't been this tired since that Godzilla movie marathon. Stayed up all night…" He yawned before smiling. "Worth it."
"This or that?" Marinette asks.
"Both." Danny responds.
Marinette blinked before sighing and smiling.
"Well… if seeing me really is worth it… let's try to keep you up. Ideas?" She questioned with a look of concern on her face.
"Maybe if I got some air in my face… I can find a spot to morph and take to the skies." Danny suggested.
"Well… if you're going to get dressed for such an occasion…" Marinette smiled slyly.
Danny Phantom was in the air, with a certain superheroine in red with black spots on her suit and mask in his arms like a bride.
"How are you holding up, Danny?" Ladybug asks.
"Well… I can't complain about being able to stay awake, I gotta say…" He blinked a few times as the air rushed through his face. "And the air here is slightly cleaner than back home. Might be an American issue…" Danny said..
"Careful… it gets colder the higher we get. I don't want you to get sick like Adrian." Ladybug warned.
"Don't worry… I don't get that cold as a ghost." Danny said with a smile before her words registered.
"What?" Ladybug asked with a look of confusion.
"So… umm…" Danny began.
"What?" Ladybug asks.
"You mentioned him…" Danny pointed out.
Ladybug's face turned red as her eyes darted away.
"Oh… did I?" She said nervously, trying to act innocent.
Knowing she was hiding it, Danny flew towards a rooftop and landed.
Ladybug, back on her feet, looked at him, trying to act clueless.
"Is… something… the matter?" She asked in a faux clueless way as Danny groaned.
"Maybe it's time we talked about the elephant in the room?" He rubbed the back of his head. "Are you… willing to see me while this Adrian guy is around?" Danny asked, wanting to get to the point.
Ladybug, knowing she can't hide it any longer, decided to voice her thoughts.
"It's true… I do still have feelings for him. But… I have feelings for you too. I chose you, deciding that if you choose me, I'd give us a chance…" She confessed.
"So… Do you want to go out with me? Or do you wanna still pine for the guy?" Danny asks.
"I… I wanna say one of those but… it's complicated…" Ladybug avoided eye contact as she looked at the ground, almost in shame.
"You know… you can't have both, right? It can only be one or the other… and the other is on a date with you right now." Danny pointed out, arms crossed.
"Right…" Ladybug said, her face a mask of uneasiness since she knew she can't argue against that.
Danny was a bit upset that she was thinking about another guy during their date, though he couldn't help but be somewhat sympathetic. After all, this was a boy she spent a great deal of time in love with. He can't expect her to just give it up so quickly. It takes time to get over unrequited love. Time he wondered if he could spend with her, show her she doesn't have to still think about him.
"Y'know…" Danny spoke up. "If you're up to it… I don't mind still going out with you until you forget about him..."
Ladybug raised her head.
"You mean it?" She asks.
"Yeah. I picked you for a reason. It's not just because… excuse me for saying this… you're super attractive in that outfit. It's also because I really do like you as a person too." Danny said. "So… I'm willing to spend time with you if you are still up for it..."
'Trying to win me over, huh?" Ladybug's mood lifted slightly as she couldn't help but smile.
"Maybe…" Danny answered easily with a grin. "But only if you're okay with it. And you have to promise me you'll be serious about the idea of us being a thing. It isn't fair to me or to Adrian… especially since I'm not the kind of person who dates more than one person at a time, and I don't think you are either."
"Right. That it's not fair, just to be clear what I'm talking about." Ladybug went with an embarrassed look on her face.
"So… if it's cool with you… I'd like to come by once in a while. Maybe for team-ups, but because you wouldn't mind just hanging out and seeing where this goes?" Danny suggests.
"You're doing a lot for a girl who's super conflicted about who she likes more…" Ladybug couldn't help but point out at the situation that they somehow found themselves in
"Helps that… you're someone I can admire..." Danny shrugged. "And you deserve a guy who cares for you like you care for him…"
"You really admire me?" Ladybug asks, feeling uncertain regarding her body.
"It's not just for your looks that's why I picked you. I came all the way around the world and am fighting the urge to fall on my face and sleep right now. If that doesn't say I admire you, then I don't know what does…" Danny gave a thumb's up at her as he wobbled slightly. "Also… I don't feel the air rushing through my face anymore… so I might wanna sit somewhere soon…"
Ladybug fell silent, feeling many things at Danny's admission. Mostly, she felt flattered, touched, enamored and rather guilty to have made him come when he should be sleeping.
He really is a sweet guy... Ladybug thought before giving her answer.
"Okay… if you want to win me over… then I guess I'll indulge you…" She said.
"Really?" Danny asks as he tries to keep his eyes open.
"I mean… you did come all this way. It'd be rude of me to turn you down, especially after I chose you." Ladybug rubbed the back of her head as she continued. "So… if you promise to go home right now and get some sleep, I promise to keep in contact and spend some time with you… not as superheroes, but as normal people."
"Deal…" Danny yawned, covering his mouth. "Scuse me… wanna at least go with me to where the portal I take is?"
"Sure. I can go with you." Ladybug said as Danny approached her, readying to be carried. "Let's go."
Danny carried her in a bridal manner as the two took to the sky.
After 20 minutes, mostly due to Danny's unfamiliarity with the area, they found the spot. It was a bridge, where the portal was below. The Eiffel Tower in their sight, the two took a moment to admire it.
"Too bad you didn't get to see the tower up close… though, I'm glad you didn't use your powers to go in without paying…" Ladybug says.
"Me too…" Danny said as he rubbed his eye. "Well… guess this is where the date ends?"
"Seems that way…" Ladybug said with a small sigh. "I won't lie… I was having fun before your exhaustion kicked in. Do you pull all-nighters or something?"
"I once stayed up playing an online game until 5:30… well, twice. I got in trouble in school because of it." Danny shrugged with a tired look in his eyes as he gave her a smile. "Still… I did have fun and I got to see you again. That's more than enough for me…"
Ladybug felt her heart flutter for a moment. As Danny kept rubbing his eyes to stay awake, she smiled.
He came all this way for me… and it's clear he's chosen me because he has feelings for me… It's only right that I should give him a little something . Just this once… She thought, feeling that he deserved something for his troubles.
"Danny?" She asks, approaching him.
"Yeah?" He asks as he manages to lower his hands a moment.
She pecked his cheek.
His face suddenly turning as red as her suit, Danny looked as Marinette, Ladybug, looked into his eyes with a cute look on her face, hands behind her back.
"Well… I felt you deserve a reward for coming all the way here…" She said coyly, her eyes darting away with a bashful expression before continuing. "Of course… you've come all this way, I feel that deserves a reward. And… I don't mind if you'd want more"
Danny stared at her, eyes blinking a few times before he finally cracked a small smile.
He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in.
Ladybug wrapped her hands around his neck as their lips connected.
Both their eyes closed as they embraced the kiss. Lost in it, Ladybug's left leg bend a bit as she leaned her upper half back just slightly. Danny didn't let his tiredness stop him from holding Marinette, the girl he held such fondness for, in his arms and to feel her lips on his.
Once the kiss came to an end, the two shared a look at each other.
"The next one is after around… 5th date, let's say?" Ladybug teased.
"Tempting me? I'll be here in a heartbeat as soon as I make our schedules work." Danny said as he let her go and stepped back. "Well… "ore ever", Ladybug." He waved to her, causing her to giggle, much to his surprise. "What?" He was genuinely amused by her giggle.
"It's au revoir." She corrected him. "It isn't just bye, it means see you later."
"Even better…" Danny said as he gave her a salute. "Laters."
Ladybug giggled as Danny hovered up and flew under the bridge. Wanting to see for herself, Ladybug used her yo-yo to hang off the edge to see him seemingly disappear through some kind of invisible ripple. Her eyes widened at this before, figuring he was on his way home, smiled before getting back up.
Once she found a place to change back, she did so. Marinette decided to walk the way back home as Tikki poked her head out of the bag.
"Are you sure you should see him or let him try to win your affections?" Tikki asks.
"My heart is divided between the two… but at least I know Danny likes me. Maybe… I don't know… I want to see if… I guess… if this can work out …" Marinette answered with a bit of uncertainty in her voice.
"Well… I hope you know what you're doing. Don't try to lead him on…" Tikki said. "It never works out well"
"I won't… I promise." Marinette said, looking up as she walked and wondered when she'll see him again.
"I think that kiss you did with Danny Phantom and Ladybug was PFN's art commission a year ago. Nice…" Deadpool said.
"Time to cut to their future!" NeoMark said.
"Wait…" FP11 spoke up. "9 hour difference? Really? Where on Earth are you basing Danny's location on, since Amity Park isn't a real place?"
"Oh… I'll admit that it's never said… but because of the presence of palm trees and beaches in one episode, I'm gonna assume he lives in… Northern California." NeoMark said.
"I see. I always theorized that it might be in Illinois or close to there…" FP11 said.
"I thought Illinois too, somewhere close to Wisconsin." 61394 said.
"I use the same location. Makes better use for time differences and travel time for Danny going to and fro with certain locations." BCFW commented, looking at his phone.
"I'll admit it's because I'm a Californian… but considering what I just said, Nasty Burger's color scheme reminds me of In-N-Out, and that they had to drive to Wisconsin for… however long it took, makes me think of NorCal. I know there's some holes… but considering Jackalopes and fictional locations like Rumackistan… I'm sticking with my idea that it's a version of NorCal." NeoMark said.
"OK." Luiz4200 said.
"So… future scenes? Also, with Ladybug being his loving interest, Clockwork will have another ally in the rabbit miraculous user, whose job is very similar to his." PFN went.
"I'm curious about it myself... I wanna see how things turn out for our new favorite couple." FP11 added.
"Oh yeah…" NeoMark said. "Now for A Miraculous Future…"
15 years later
"Good morning, Everyone." An aged Tiffany Snow said on the news. "Hometown local Danny Fenton, professional astronaut and astronomy teacher, and Marinette, his wife and professional fashion designer from Paris, have announced their plans to help renovate Casper High with an aquatic center and establish security systems to ensure rampant bullying that was once overlooked to be near impossible to happen. Mr. Fenton had said the following… 'It's stupid to think it was wrong and that I'm no different than a bully for standing up to one… we were kind of dumber back then…' end quote. In other news, local heroes Danny Phantom and his partner Ladybug have just finished rescuing the entire building from a hostage situation."
The news was playing on a smartphone held by Danny Phantom himself as he watched this, waiting for his wife to finish as he was up on the rooftop.
Danny's jumpsuit was updated from being pure black with white gloves, boots, belt, collar and logo. He had white streaks go down the arms with two sets of two white stripes on the biceps, black buttons on his gloves, and sporting a proper utility belt. He looked at his non-existent watch while tapping his foot.
"Anytime now…" He said with faux-impatience.
That's when she peeked out.
Her outfit has adapted since she was a teenager. She was taller now and while she still kept her trademark red and black polka dots and mask, she modified her outfit to look different having solid black around her hands, arms, waist, feet, and thighs. She no longer uses pigtails, instead having one long ponytail that sometimes draped over her shoulder. She smiled upon seeing her husband and partner in crime-fighting
"All hostages out and all bad guys incapacitated. I told you that I could handle it…" She said with a smug smile, gesturing to the group of men she had tied up for committing the crime several feet from her.
"Well, no shame in having a little backup…" Danny said with a slight smirk on his face.
"Oh? Is that ALL why you're here?" She asks playfully.
"For crying out loud… just make out, already…" One of the men grumbled before Ladybug's yo-yo came in and hit him in the face.
"Pipe down!" She demanded before going back to being flirty with Danny. "Well… I'm afraid I'm not in any danger for you to…" She then inched closer to the edge. "What's this?" She asks in playful accusing tone
"Don't you dare, Spots." Danny said in a slightly joking way, while she continued her antics.
"Oh… but Spooky?" Ladybug feigned being afraid as she went on her tiptoes. "I fear… I'm about… to…"
"Don't you dare…" Danny playfully warned.
"Oh no…" Ladybug playfully swooned. "Farewell, cruel world…" She did with an overdramatic flourish before intentionally letting gravity do the deed and falling out the window.
With a headshake, an eye roll, and a smile, Danny flew fast and was about to catch her when she used her yo-yo to lasso around a flagpole.
She laughed at how she was able to save herself before the flagpole suddenly broke. She momentarily gasped before Danny shot a blast of ice at the tip of yo-yo, freezing it to the building side. Ladybug's grip was strong enough that she didn't let go as it stretched to its fullest. Her body bounced for a bit before settling, finding she's now at the building's 4th floor before Danny descended to meet her at eye level. He held her hand holding the yo-yo to settle her.
"I warned you. Plus, flagpoles aren't designed for anything other than flags…" He playful said with a smile as Ladybug, eying him, decided to make a move. "Maybe next time, you should try-"
He was cut off when Ladybug wrapped her legs around him and wrapped her free arm around his neck as she kissed him.
Danny froze up, realizing he should have seen this coming. Since she got over Adrian and devoted her heart to him, she likes to sneak kisses when he least expects it, but only when things aren't serious or dangerous.
On the ground, both the people she saved and onlookers couldn't help but congratulate Danny Phantom for her love for him.
"Yo! Nice one, Phantom!"
"Go get it, Phantom!"
"Looks like there's a fire on the loose!"
"Ladybugs ARE lucky!"
Ladybug was lost in kissing her husband before opening her eyes and pulling back.
"Couldn't help myself, sorry…" She apologized with an enamored smile.
"No, it's just… uh…" Danny was flustered as she let her legs down and pulled her hand away. "It's been a while since I was Frenched by a French lady…"
After freeing her yo-yo from the ice and carrying Ladybug to safety, Danny landed atop a building as the both shared a laugh.
"I haven't had this much fun since seeing Chloe be hauled off after her little stunt as "mayor" and I have to say… this is way better." Ladybug said.
"Hilarious." Danny said.
"I should also bring this up." Marinette spoke up. "Last time I was in Paris, Adrian invited us to join him and his family in the Swiss Alps."
"Really? I'm proud that you're okay with being friends with him instead of cutting him out after you decided to date me." Danny said, being sincere. "Though… I was worried he'd go all dark after his dad was exposed as Hawk Moth before he could do his wish."
"Adrian doesn't have my heart anymore, but he's still a friend." Ladybug admitted, being honest about how she felt.
"So… he doesn't know you were Marinette the whole time and he's fine with being a solo hero as Cat Noir?" Danny asks.
"Yeah. I couldn't really make him part with Plagg, those two are inseparable." Ladybug said. "But… as Guardian of the Miraculouses, that doesn't mean I won't borrow him in case you're in the mood for Lady Noir to make an appearance." She flirtatiously leans into him. "I don't plan to give up being the guardian until I know our boy's ready for that kind of responsibility… but I don't think I'll forget you and, as long as I use a Miraculous, I'll remember every little detail, including you…" She traced her finger on his chest logo.
"Wow… one kid later and we're still as feisty as ever..." Danny couldn't help but tease her a bit.
"You know me… devoted and dedicated to whom I love…" Ladybug said. "After I reassessed how rather obsessive and stalkerish I can be…"
"Good on ya." Danny said before wrapping an arm around her. "Ready to head home?"
"I am." Ladybug agreed as she used her yo-yo, waiting until it safely wrapped around something before swinging. "First one home has to cook!"
Danny shook his head and smiled.
"I don't know who's luckier? Me or her…" He flew after her.
"Also, forgot to mention… Danny's like 6 feet now. That's a thing I didn't bring up last time. Also… for those wondering, Bloom is roughly the same size as a teenager so… imagine her less thin. As for Marinette, imagine her as a few inches shorter than Danny." NeoMark went. "Also, I based Ladybug's new look on her upcoming Season 6 design."
"Wait…" 61394 says, raising his hand. "You said you were only picking characters from before 2018, and that to pretend their stories were still up to that point, right?"
"Right…"
"But… how could they know about Chloe being mayor, Adrian's dad being the big bad or Marinette being the guardian and the memory loss thing? Why go with Astruc's bad writing?" 61394 asked.
"Neo, you set the rule yourself. Why go breaking it when you were adamant about following them?" BCFW sighed.
"Is this a hall pass thing like with Yuki?" 61394 asked more.
"It is true… this is information we didn't know at the time the original story took place… but I'm looking at these future scenes with the gift of hindsight. Obviously, we can't go back in time to tell FP11 of that time things that we know now. Like that Proud Family would have a sequel that started decently before becoming super divisive, or rumblings of a Gravity Falls revival with upcoming Disney works at the time like Amphibia and Owl House we could easily suggest share the same world due to having a lot of the same crew and a few hints, or a new Totally Spies series that gives the girls new suits and new hairstyles, or that the Black Cat she used only appeared twice in what is basically the superhero cartoon equivalent of unseasoned fries." NeoMark said.
"Which are disgusting!" Deadpool shouted angrily.
"Agreed..." 61394 chimes in.
"Unseasoned fries? Really?" FP11 asked.
"Right so… since the main story is over, I can bend the rules and use what we know now…" NeoMark said.
"So, in other words, if the girl in question comes from a franchise, show or whatever that continued after 2018-2019, you'll incorporate what happened after into these future scenarios?" 61394 asks before NeoMark nodded. "So, that means…?"
"Look at it this way… I could ignore Astruc's choices in seasons 4 and 5 as that is the easy choice… but as I get older and get better at writing, I find reworking something that didn't work the first time and make it work the second time to be the more interesting option. I don't see everything Astuc did as bad writing… just most of it was bad writing. So, for this hypothetical scenario, let's say everything happened mostly the same but with Danny around to knock a little common sense, including stopping Gabriel Agreste." NeoMark said.
"So, think Danny Phantom fixes Miraculous. It helps that we might not see a continuation of this specific version of them anytime soon, if at all. So, just imagine this world is the rewrite Astruc needed… if the show were still airing on Nick, that is." Deadpool said.
"For as long as it means the two-sided love square not lasting longer than it should, I'm fine." Luiz4200 said.
"I guess. Granted, things going differently in this timeline is a given since Danny joining in is a new variable to add to the equation/timeline." BCFW paced around as he pondered. "Though that can be said in general since a lot of worlds are colliding."
"I do think that Danny Phantom would change the timeline of Miraculous Ladybug in a really big way. Like Ben 10 and Danny Phantom, multiple timelines exist in their universe. I'm guessing with Danny's help that she's able to defeat Monarch, even if he gets to drop on her when she's trying to convince him that they could work. Also, if you think Vlad's a fruitloop, you haven't seen what they did with Monarch. Also, because Marinette doesn't have that romantic connection with Adrien in this timeline, I would say that Bug Noir has to tell a little bit more of the truth than in canon!" PFN rants.
"So like how things went in the movie. As long as Danny's happy with Marinette, I'm happy." 61394 sat back, content with this. "Got any more pupusas?"
"You want some sauce with them?" NeoMark offered. "It's not spicy, just make them less dry."
"I'll try everything at least once." 61394 said.
"Sure, why not." FP11 said. "So... let's meet their little one?"
Danny Phantom and Ladybug managed to make their way to their home, the rooftop of their penthouse estate, which was paid for by Marinette's money from being a fashion designer.
"Being this high up is a great way for us to see the city and hide in plain sight…" Danny whispers to his wife.
"And… a wonderful place to call home." Ladybug said as she wrapped her arms around her husband. "I know you wanted something more down-to-Earth, but how else would we keep an eye on things?"
"I made my peace with it." Danny shrugged. "I at least named our kid…"
"Right… I at least suggested a French astronaut." Ladybug added as she pressed her hands onto Danny's chest. "So… ready to go in? I'm sure his babysitter's waiting for us…"
"Love to…" Danny said as he took her hands and kissed her lightly on the lips before morphing back to human form.
"Tikki! Spots off!" Ladybug said as she changed back.
Danny was dressed in his more casual clothes of a red long-sleeve with jeans and brown shoes. Marinette was in a more casual business attire, white with a black work coat and light brown skirt that reached her knees, with shoes not unlike what she wore as a child. Her hair was also in a bun, whereas Danny's was not different from his time as a teenager.
Tikki flew around them, looking relieved.
"Thank you for not getting too eager to have your hands all over each other…" She said like a disapproving mother.
"Come on… we don't do that too often. …anymore." Danny said while the kwami sent him a flat look.
"Admire how fit her body is with your eyes, not your hands, while she's transformed, please." Tikki reminded him of how she's aware of what they do.
"Sorry, Tikki…" Marinette said with a giggle.
"Come on… Phil's waiting for us." Danny said as he offered his hand.
Marinette took his hand as Tikki held her shoulder, Danny phasing through the ceiling.
They landed safely on the floor, seeing many kwamis flying about as their chosen babysitter looked relieved as she got up.
"Finally!" Jazz stood up with a tired look on her eyes and disheveled hair. "Just because it's my day off, doesn't mean I want to spend it watching over a bunch of little ones… with only one of them your son!"
"Sorry…" Danny laughed.
"Guys." Marinette angrily called out to the kwamis. "I thought I told you not to make things hard for her…"
"Sorry…" All of the kwamis went.
"We just wanted to get a little time to stretch out…" Xuppu said.
"And we were hungry… she wanted to feed us mixed vegetables and barely any real meat." Barkk said in disgust.
"Keep giving her grief and that's all you're eating for a week." Marinette scolded them with arms crossed.
"Okay…" The kwamis all said in defeat as their heads hung down.
"So… where's Phillipe?" Marinette asks, looking around.
"Here I am, Mama!" A little boy of 5 called out.
Coming out of the kitchen with a glass of milk was a boy that had Danny's facial structure, but his eyes were the shape and color of Marinette's. He also had his hair not unlike his father's, but the bangs and blue-tint was that of his mother's. His clothes were similar to his father's style as a kid, but with Marinette's color scheme with the exception of using red instead of pink, a blend of fancy and casual, like his mother's attire.
This is Phillipe "Phil" Thomas Fenton, their son.
"Philippe!" Marinette went to her knees and her arms out as her son raced to hug her.
"Hope he wasn't causing too much trouble." Danny said to his sister as he watched his wife and son hug.
"No… he was the least trouble…" Jazz said as she adjusted her hair.
"We'll keep the other little ones in line next time." Danny reassured her.
"Right… well…" Jazz nodded to the two. "Danny… Marinette…" She then looked to her nephew. "Phil…"
"Bye, Auntie Jazz…" Phillipe waved to her as she made her leave.
Once done, Marinette picked her son up.
"You had a good time with Auntie Jazz?" Marinette asks.
"Yes, Mama!" Phillipe went with a smile as he finished up his milk.
"Let me take that, Phil." Danny took the glass from him.
"Papa? Can I have chocolate macaroons for dessert tonight?" Phillipe asks.
"That depends on if your mom is okay with it." Danny said as he turned to his wife.
"Only if you promise to wash up before dinner." Marinette said as she let him down.
"Okay!" Phillipe went as he did a salute.
"So, come on, Son…" Danny took Phillipe by the hand. "Let's go play, shall we?"
"Okay, Papa…" Phillipe said as he waved to his mother. "Bye, Mama! See you at dinner!"
Marinette smiled warmly as she waved back to them.
"Just to be clear…" NeoMark spoke up. "His middle name comes from Marinette's father, Tom."
"Really? They didn't name him after the cat?" Deadpool asks.
"Thomas O'Malley?" 61394 asks "I'd name a cat after him."
"... Tom and Jerry." NeoMark said.
"I figured. Was just making a joke." 61394 said.
"Hilarious…" NeoMark rolled his eyes. "So… like before, let's hear questions. What do you want to know about what happened between their second date and where they are now?"
"Well, I guess the biggest question is what actually happened when Adrien found out? And what happened to Chloe and Lila?" FP11 asks.
"True, I'd like to know that as well." Luiz4200 agreed.
"Honestly, I'm just gonna guesstimate." BCFW shrugged. "It's more fun."
"So unlike canon, Marinette still has the Kwamis with her instead of giving them out to her friends and Felix. That's interesting. Especially since the monkey Kwami is not given to Kim for what he did to poor Marinette. Kim from Miraculous, not Kim possible. So, Danny did have a meeting with Marinette when she was Lady Noir? Knowing some of her personality traits as that hero, I know she didn't keep her claw off of Danny during that time. LOL. So my question is, is Nooro not with Lila? Did Lila try to steal Danny away after Marinette got over Adrien? Also, does Marinette want any more children?" PFN listed off
"I don't really have questions. I stopped watching the show and I think the movie was better." 61394 said while helping himself to a croissant.
"Okay… first off… Indeed, Adrien would find out about their relationship and, although playing it off like it's okay, it did break his heart. However, he respected Marinette's wishes and chose not to give the two grief. Once his father was exposed as the man who was causing trouble in Paris, which is a better conclusion for him in canon but the show's not over yet so that can always change, Adrien set out to fix his father's misdeeds and continue being Cat Noir." NeoMark said.
"From the looks of things, he's the only one still in Paris." Deadpool said.
"As for the rest… well, Chloe's fate in season 5 is pretty ideal, so let's assume the same happens and, although something could happen to bring her back, let's assume that it sticks in this version. Lila would indeed try to steal Danny, but he would make sure she'd take a hint. Namely… have Cujo threaten to make her a chew toy." NeoMark explained further.
"A fitting punishment." Deadpool nodded. "Although… that poor dog's gonna throw up if he tastes her…"
"As for the Kwamis, as you thought, Plagg remained with Adrien as he needed someone he can trust after what happened with his dad. Marinette brought all of them with her to America when she decided to be with Danny. She can always visit thanks to the horse Miraculous. Yes, she uses different ones from time to time, mostly for practical reasons but especially to gauge how attracted Danny is to her in all those costumes. Spoilers, he's attracted to her in all forms, but her Ladybug suit is the obvious favorite. Before someone asks, yes, Alya knows Danny Fenton is Danny Phantom after Marinette assures him he can trust her after Marinette tells Alya her own secret. Before you ask, outside of Jazz, all of Danny's inner circle know her secret. As for Sam… let's just say she goes through her own arc where she has to accept that Marinette is an important part of Danny's life." NeoMark said. "Now… onto the story…"
"Yay! I win!" Philippe said as he placed the controller down.
"Darn blue shell…" Danny muttered
"Okay, it's time for Philippe's bath!" Marinette called out.
"Okay!" Danny said as he turned off the system. "Sorry, Phil. Time to wash up."
"Aww… do I gotta?" Philippe whined, pouting a bit
"Yeah, you do." Danny said as he pulled his son out of his seat.
"Okay…" Philippe defeatedly went to the restroom as he got ready for his bath.
Marinette waited outside the door, having dressed in more casual pants and a T-shirt of her husband's, watching him go before she entered with him.
"Okay… let's get to cleaning…" Marinette said.
"Mama…" Philippe whined.
"I've changed you since you were a baby…don't be like that…" Marinette crosses her arms.
Danny, outside, couldn't help but laugh at this. His son was only 5 but was already showing a bit of a rebellious streak when it came to bathing. Marinette would be there to make sure he washes up, suspecting he'd barely get any water on him and try to act like he did take a bath.
"Marinette should hope he never develops ghost powers…" Danny laughed.
"Danny!" Marinette called out.
"Yeah?" Danny's amusement was dropped.
"Come inside!" She said, unlocking the door.
Danny entered and saw his son was now in his little boxers.
"So…?" Danny asks, not seeing anything wrong.
"Look at his eyes…" Marinette pointed to her son.
"Yeah? I mean, they're green. So? I do- wait…" Danny slowly turned his head, his mind processing. "Green? That means...?"
"When I was pulling off his shirt… it suddenly came off him! As in… without it going over his head!" Marinette said. "Then his pants fell off… without warning!"
"Like father, like son..." Danny said before smiling at his son. "It looks like your powers are starting up!"
"They are?" Philippe asks, his voice a mix of confusion and a hint of excitement.
"Yeah… which means… we're gonna be keeping an eye on how you use them." Danny said.
"So… I'm gonna be a superhero like you?" Philippe asks.
"If you want to. But you're still gonna be the guardian once you prove to me you can be responsible. Do you promise me to not abuse them? And to listen to your Papa once it's time to train you?" Marinette asks as she gets on her knees.
"I promise, Mama!" Philippe said with an excited look in his eyes
"How exactly did they suddenly turn on?" Marinette asks.
"Maybe… they'll start to happen as he gets older? All I know is that I'll have to teach him how to control them. Until then, my folks have been making special cuffs to weaken ghosts. We can make a smaller version as a bracelet for him. It won't be as powerful, but since he's half… or, I guess quarter ghost, that won't be a problem. That way, he can't use his powers in public and his energy can't be traced by anyone with a grudge against us." Danny suggested.
"That'll do." Marinette said as she stood up. "So, it looks like soon you'll be learning how to use your powers. Excited?"
"I sure am!" Philippe bounced.
"Wonderful…" Marinette clapped her hands together in motherly enjoyment before her expression became motherly stern. "Now… bath?" She gestures to the tub.
"Okay…" Philippe muttered, his green eyes turning back to his mother's blue as his excitement mostly washed away before the dirt and sweat from his day could be washed away.
Both of his parents couldn't help but find this amusing.
Later
Philippe was now in his room, in bed as Marinette sat at the foot of it.
"So, your Papa tells me that so far, all you can do is make things phase off your body. That's about it. You have to promise, no using powers until we can make sure that bracelet is ready. Can you do that?" She asks her son.
"I can, Mama." Philippe says.
"Good boy. And remember, Grandpa Tom and Grandma Sabine don't know, so no telling them this." Marinette gave her son a playful wink.
"I promise." Philippe says before a thought crosses him. "If I could be more like Papa, does that mean I can't be a guardian?"
"You can. I don't think you need a Miraculous though." Marinette said.
"Oh… that's too bad. I wanted to try one. But… Papa doesn't need one, so that's still cool." Philippe says before his smile grows. "Maybe I can call myself Philippe de Fantome?"
"Considering your father's hero name and how dense the people of Amity Park sadly can be, you can." Marinette chuckled before kissing her son on the forehead. "Night, little Philippe."
"Night, Mama…" Philippe said with a yawn before Marinette tucks him in and leaves the room, turning the lights off.
Philippe fell asleep with a smile on his face. He was going to be just like his parents, whom he loved and who taught him right and wrong.
Marinette, meanwhile, entered her bedroom, where Danny was waiting for her.
"He's going to be harder for us to deal with, huh?" Danny asks.
"Oh, most definitely." Marinette said flatly as she got in bed.
"Let's hope he doesn't go all stalker like you did for Adrian or for me when we started dating." Danny mused, much to his wife's irritation.
"I told you sorry like a million times! Besides, it's not like you hated it…" Marinette pouted.
"No… I never hated it… just wished you didn't find excuses to put me under a mistletoe so much… Again, not that I hated it." Danny said with an amused smile.
"Well, if that's how it's going to be…" Marinette crossed her arms and pouted in a playful manner.
Danny, knowing she's just kidding, lightly nudged her.
"Want me to make it up to you?" He asks.
Marinette opened one eye to look at him before smiling.
"Yes, I do…" She said as she slowly crawled on top of him. "Tikki?" She calls out to her kwami.
"Right…" Tikki, who waited for the two to enter their room, pulls the knob as much as she can to give them privacy. "Night…" She closed the door.
"Night." The two went.
"Ready, Spots?" Danny's hand went up and down Marinette's back.
"Sure am, Spooky…" Marinette said as they shared a kiss and took advantage of them having their privacy.
For their love and happiness with their home and son was stronger than ever.
"There you go. A Miraculous Future…" NeoMark said with a nod.
"Well, glad to see those two managed to have a happy ending." FP11 said.
"A double entendre for an ending? Kinda funny." BCFW smirked. "But I'm glad to see they're happy."
"Marinette's better off that way than being stuck in a two-sided love square." Luiz4200 commented.
"I'm not a big fan of Ladybug but Danny and Marinette are a sweet couple." 61394 said.
"Oh my God, this was the best chapter ever!" PFN excitedly stated. "Also, I thought it was funny that Marinette stacking habits went over to Danny and going under the mistletoe for mischief…"
"And now… time for the third place chara-"
"Are those two gonna have another kid after this?" Deadpool asks.
"...sure. Let's say… a girl named Gina, after Marinette's grandmother." NeoMark said as he shrugged. "Now… as I was saying… time for the third place character…"
