A Different Future… 4
"See? Told you guys the food would be here." NeoMark said.
Before them was a spread of strange yet delicious dishes. Some looked normal, others looked odd.
"Whoa! What's this? And where'd you get it from?…" FP11 asked.
"Look at the size of that chicken!" 61394 took a giant drumstick and then a bite out of it. "HOLY GUACAMOLE! IT'S WONDERFUL!"
"Ah… what we have here is…" NeoMark gestures to giant crab legs. "Boiled Mimic." He then gestures to the meat with vegetables. "Kelpie Yakiniku." He then gestures to what looked like a large chicken. "And Roasted Basilisk."
All of them paused eating.
"Those are all fantasy monsters." BCFW eyed the buffet with a drooling smile. "I definitely approve."
"...this doesn't look like the giant snake from Harry Potter." FP11 held up a drumstick. "You sure this is it?"
"A Basilisk's depiction varies depending on interpretation. For this one, it's a rooster with the butt attached to the upper half of a snake." NeoMark said.
"Uh… Neo?" FP11 asked in an uneasy tone. "What anime did you say this was again?"
"Delicious in Dungeon." NeoMark said. "The gist is that a group of adventurers are off to rescue the leader's sister and, since they have no money for food, live off eating the monsters that live in the dungeon."
All of them, save for BCFW, stared at him.
"Good choice. Love the series. Can't wait for Season two." BCFW replied with clapping hands. "Did you have Senshi cook them?"
"This is… fantasy monster meat? Because I definitely want to try something new." PFN said.
"The "butt attached to the upper half of a snake" line makes me nauseous but I'm trying anyway." Luiz4200 commented.
"I'M EATING FANTASY MONSTERS?! I forgot what anime we were ordering from!" 61394 looked ready to put his plate down, but he took another bite of the Mimic and shrugged. "Actually, this is pretty good…"
"I'm not really sure about this. You sure this is safe to eat?" FP11 said, looking uneasy.
"Yup!" Neo ate some Basilisk.
"So… next girl?" FP11 asks.
"Yeah. Let's go." BCFW commented with a face full of killer rabbit curry and red dragon pizza.
"Next girl!" Deadpool said as he was behind the counter. "So… omelets? I got freshly gained mandrakes! Their heads are still attached since I let them scream, my healing factor keeps me alive… helps drain their toxins when they scream."
61394 took another bite of the Basilisk.
"If it tastes this good,…I'll eat it." Then he belched, letting out a small cloud of fire. "Oh yeah, that was good…"
"... what spices did you put in there?" NeoMark questions Deadpool as the story begins.
"I think you're amazing…you're so strong, so smart and so beautiful…I think we truly have something between us…something special…so…what…what I am trying to say is…" With a gulp, he finally said it. "Sakura Kasugano, will you please go out with me?"
The young Street Fighter observed Danny with a smile before raising her fist.
"Only if you spar with me." She grinned competitively.
"Lemme guess… the answer lies in the heart of battle?" Danny asks with a smile.
"Now you're getting it!" Sakura winked.
"So… depending on how it goes, you'll go out with me?" Danny asks.
"You bet." Sakura nodded.
Danny's response was a shrug as he agreed. Her love for combat and getting better was something he admired her for.
"Girl number 4, Sakura Kasugano from Street Fighter." NeoMark said.
"And a video game girl takes fifth place." 61394 said.
"Fifth place, but first in the video game category." BCFW quipped.
"Neat." PFN said as he enjoyed dungeon food.
"I wonder if Sam will try to challenge her." Luiz4200 said.
"Hmm… why am I not surprised she'd challenge Danny like that?" FP11 commented.
"I gotta say… I was actually thinking people didn't like her enough. But I'm relieved to see I got some Street Fighter fans in my audience." NeoMark said.
BCFW shrugged silently.
"I think you have video game fans in general here." He then said.
"Well, as someone unfamiliar with Street Fighter, it looks like things worked out. I'm happy for ya…" FP11 smiled before noticing something in Deadpool's hand. "Uh… what are you holding?"
In Deadpool's hand was a large, squishy looking egg.
"A basilisk egg, Imma make an omelet." Deadpool said.
"Is that what a basilisk egg looks like?" Luiz4200 asked.
"That's what a snake egg looks like." NeoMark said.
All of those unfamiliar stared at him.
"Seriously? I expected something more chicken-like." Luiz4200 said.
"Yeah, the chicken is the body. Only the tail part is the snake." PFN told them.
"Actually… the chicken part is the tail." NeoMark corrected them.
Everyone went silent.
"... I'll still try it." 61394 said. "Can you make mine a cheese omelette?"
"Sorry, not messin' with Senshi's recipe." Deadpool said.
"... so… about Danny and Sakura?" FP11 quickly spoke. "What ends up happening?"
"Watch." NeoMark gestured to the screen.
Danny laid on the ground, tired and bruised from sparring with Sakura.
"Wow…" He said with a heavy breath and a small smile as Sakura sat nearby, holding water for him. "Thanks…" He took a sip.
Sakura smiled.
"So… I'm free this weekend, if you'd like. Whatever magic map you mentioned brought you here can probably work then?" She asks.
Danny sat up in surprise, despite how sore he was.
"But… you won…?" He asks.
"I was gonna say yes anyway… I just wanted to know what a great sparring partner you'd be when we're not going out." Sakura beamed.
Danny, surprised to know she'd go out with him regardless, couldn't help but laugh at the situation he was in as his head hit the ground from exhaustion.
"And now…" NeoMark prepared to speak.
"Drum roll!" Deadpool used a pot for a drum to prepare for it.
"The Future Lies in the Heart of Battle!" NeoMark went.
15 years later
"HAH!" A grown woman with short brown hair and of Japanese descent swung her kick upward.
She wore a red headband, along with red training cloves she's loved since she was a teenager. She wore a white gi with some tears and a black martial arts belt. She dressed like her idol, though had a sleeveless red shirt underneath.
She took a deep breath before swinging an upward punch, the force creating a gust of air.
Then she put her hands together and prepared a ball of blue fire.
"Hadoken!" She exclaimed, firing her attack into the and admiring how it went. "Ha! I'm getting close to Ryu-san's level of skill and power!"
This was Sakura, now grown into a young woman. In her home, which was located in Polter Heights, which had a large backyard that was perfect for her training sessions. This was the house they bought in combination of her husband's money made working with NASA and her own money helping to organize game tournaments for the Masters' Family after Ken Masters slowly fixed his damaged reputation.
Sakura took a deep breath before turning her head.
"Your turn, Kenny." She took a step back.
Approaching the 31 year old Street Fighter was a boy of about 7 years old. A boy that looked remarkably like her, yet had the nose and facial structure of his father.
This was Ken "Kenny" James Fenton. He was named after Ken Masters, as Danny felt naming him after Ryu was too fangirlish to let Sakura get away with, and Sakura's friend, Blanka, whose real name was James, or Jimmy as she was allowed to call him.
"Okay." Kenny went, wearing a Gi and headband like his mother.
"So, let's see your form." Sakura instructed.
"Like this?" Kenny did a stance, with one knee not as bent as the other.
"Close… like this." Sakura took a knee to help her son get it right. Once she bent his knee enough, she pulled back. "Better."
Kenny nodded, looking both tired but also some determination.
"I'll get stronger and better! I promise!" He vowed.
"I know you will, my little dragon." Sakura patted her son on the head, using her nickname for him.
As Kenny began practicing punches, a certain ghostly superhero turned visible nearby after landing safely.
"Miss anything?" Danny asks as he morphs upon seeing they were not being watched.
"Danny-kun." Sakura affectionately cooed as she approached her husband and hugged him.
"Ahh… nice and sweaty, just how I like it." Danny laughed as he hugged her back.
Sakura playfully ribbed him before having her fists at her hips while beaming with joy to have him back.
"Dad?" Kenny got their attention. "Any trouble out there? Need help?" He asks with a sense of urgency in his voice.
In response, Danny gently ruffled his son's hair.
"Kenny… I know you wanna get stronger after what happened. But don't forget… you're still little. You have years ahead of you. You can go slow…" Danny reminded him.
"I just don't wanna feel helpless… like last time…" Kenny said, looking down.
Sakura took a knee and hugged her son.
"I'm fine, Kenny. I'm all better. You don't have to worry so much. Don't overdo it, that's what Ryu-san would insist." Sakura said in a gentle voice.
Knowing how she valued her idol's words of wisdom, Kenny could only listen to his mothers words.
"Okay, Mom." Kenny said before realizing she was hugging him in a very motherly way of affection. "Come on… you said you're in sensei mode…" He tried to push her off while looking embarrassed.
"I'm allowed to swap modes." Sakura said with a smile before letting him go. "So, my little dragon, ready to try a Hadoken?"
"I… I don't know…" Kenny looked down, his fears of being not good enough to do so. "I can't even use Dad's energy to blast… I'm not sure if I can use my Ki."
Seeing their son's insecurity, Danny took a knee to look him in the eye.
"Kenny… you don't have to worry. Go at your own pace. We're not going anywhere… and we'll help you no matter what." Danny said.
"Exactly." Sakura nodded in agreement. "Strength takes time, I had to learn that too. You'll be fine if you go at your own pace."
Kenny was touched by the love his parents were showing.
"Thank you…" He said with a small smile as a tear left his eye. "I just… don't want anything to happen to any of you… I want to be strong to protect you, fight beside you…"
"And you will…" Sakura said as she pulled him into a hug.
Danny hugged his wife and son, sharing this wonderful moment.
"It's a good thing you specified who he's named after. Otherwise, we'll all think he's named after the guy who does Bowser's vocal effects." Deadpool chimed in.
"Really? After that?" NeoMark becomes cranky when he said this after a touching family moment. After rolling his eyes, he went to his co-authors. "So… Ken James Fenton. Their son."
"Blanka's real name is Jimmy?" 61394 asked. "Also… why name him after Ken instead of Ryu?"
"It almost sounds like a Vlad Masters/Ken Masters joke." BCFW said with a tilted head.
"It's a pretty cool name." PFN said.
"Danny must be jealous." Luiz4200 said. "Also, Jimmy? I only knew Blanka as "Carlos", which makes more sense to me since he's supposed to be one of my fellow Brazilians."
"No, you're thinking of the Street Fighter movie, which is not canon, and merged him with Charlie Nash." Deadpool corrected him.
"I can definitely see Kenny taking after both Sakura and Danny..." FP11 said before she continued." So… this is the part where we ask our questions about this world, right?"
"Everyone except the guesstimate guy." Deadpool said as he readied more Dungeon food. "B T dubs, Fuzzy? Any dish you want right now?"
"Besides the treasure bugs and boiled mimic? How about some of that tentacle gnocchi?" BCFW pointed to the pasta dish.
"Does anyone know about Danny's secret identity?" PFN asks.
"Are Danny's friends concerned about Ken Masters having the same surname as the fruitloop?" Luiz4200 asked.
"Can I get another one of everything?" 61394 asked.
"Well, my question here is what were they talking about? Also… what was Kenny so nervous about?" FP11 asks.
"Okay so… if you read the chapter Sakura was in, you'd know Ken and Vlad are not related. Anyway… Danny and Sakura would get closer over the years. Also, as he meets Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy and the rest, they gain his trust to share his secret with them. This includes Guile, who became a friend and was willing to hide his identity after Danny did him a few solids, including one involving Charlie Nash. Anyone familiar with Nash in V would probably have an idea what it is. Guile, being part of a special group assigned to fight Shadaloo and other threats in the Street Fighter universe, would sometimes ask Danny for help, but only after Danny gets more skilled in fights." NeoMark said.
"So, he gets to fight alongside Ryu, Ken, even Zangief?" Deadpool asks eagerly.
"You know it. And remember when I said we'd going into these futures with the gift of hindsight? Well, let's have it so Danny helps out with the group during the events of Street Fighter 6, and takes down JP. If possible, I wanna have Danny help Luke with his students and help Ken get his life back together after what JP did to him. Go look up the Street Fighter 6 plot if you're unsure what I'm talking about. And yes, we did mention that Sam doesn't like Ken Masters, so we can just imagine she's not pleased that Danny becomes friends with him for a while. After seeing Ken in action, she changes her mind about him. As for why name their boy after him and not Ryu? Well, Danny didn't want his wife to be too much of a fangirl, so they chose Ken as the namesake." NeoMark said.
"Imma guess when Vlad gets out of that hospital, he'll find out about Sakura and Shadaloo?" Deadpool asks.
"Yup. Much like with Lex in the Kara story, Vlad would try to seek out enemies of Sakura's friends and see a way to get what he wants. He'll try to use them to destroy Danny and Jack, but also use their cloning technology Bison uses to make new bodies for himself to either create a perfect copy of Danny, or one with his and Maddie's DNA to create the son he always wanted. Maybe he'll want to learn about Psycho Power, and use it for his own schemes. Bison, however, would probably be intrigued by the powers of half-ghosts and use it to create a special body for himself." NeoMark said.
"Putting two sociopaths who use cloning and have a hunger for power and control in one place is going to end with a double cross." 61394 said.
"Big shocker, Bison is the one who does the double cross sooner and more effectively." NeoMark said.
"Vlad is always the more likely to let his ego and overconfidence get the better of him." Deadpool said.
"Indeed. As for what they're talking about. Well… as you noticed from Kenny's age that he was born when Danny was 22 and Sakura was 24, thus making him one of the oldest of Danny's kids in this take." NeoMark said. "As for why a son, she has a son in one of the endings from the vs games, set in the future."
"So why was Kenny so eager to kick butt?" Deadpool asks.
"Well, Kenny wasn't really eager to fight. In fact, he was outright afraid of fighting, as he didn't like the idea of hurting anyone. Sakura respected this, as she just wanted her son to be safe and happy. However, one day, Balrog and Vega, Bison's two top henchmen, attacked them. Sakura did her best but was heavily injured. Kenny was frozen in fear, seeing his mother hurt and possibly close to dying before she was able to defeat Vega, with help from Cammy and Karin, both who were visiting, against Balrog. Since then, Kenny had a fear that if someone he cared for was in danger, he'd be unable to save them." NeoMark explained.
"I see… so he asked Sakura to train him. Poor kid." FP11 quickly realized what made him act the way he did.
"Exactly, he wants to make sure no one he cares for and no innocent gets hurt around him again." NeoMark said.
"Being unable to help someone you love would be a usual hero motivator." Deadpool said.
"As he grows up, his mother will start to be more of an influence on Kenny than he realizes. He'll start to enjoy getting stronger, getting more skilled, just as much as he enjoys helping people like his father does." NeoMark said.
"And they'd enter some martial arts tournaments?" Deadpool asks knowingly.
"Yup. It all works out for Sakura. So, for her story in Street Fighter V's DLC, she started to wonder if there was more to life than just get stronger and she realized she wants to have a family someday. Granted… the DLC that brought Akira into the game that came after has her go back to wanting to fight and get stronger… So maybe she finds a balance? But here, she's got a balance. She has a son whom she's training to get stronger, and she herself is also getting stronger and better so that she can protect her boy while also making sure she's able to handle threats her husband handles alongside him when the situation calls for it." NeoMark said.
"What kind of threats do they handle?" Deadpool asks.
"The obvious with Danny's foes and various Shadaloo, Illuminati, S.I.N. and Amnesia. And since this is a Capcom series, we can imagine other Capcom villains showing up." NeoMark said with a big smile.
"Well, you sure seem like you'd be super excited to have written this had Sakura been a character in the original story." FP11 noticed the excitement in how he presented this hypothetical story.
"Yeah… I'm not gonna dedicate too much time to these scenarios… but I don't mind sharing more for this one, especially if I ever decide I actually want to do a story about crossing over with Street Fighter." NeoMark went. "If someone wants to do a story on these two, while I don't want any spin-offs, I'm cool with taking ideas here so long as they mention where they came from."
"So. Who would be the big enemy here? The ninja, the dictator, or the boxer?" The grin on BCFW painted him wicked.
"Wow…didn't think you'd know that." Deadpool taunted.
"They'd be big enemies, but not the Final Boss…" NeoMark went before looking away and his expression being much more nervous.
"What's wrong? You look like you're expecting something bad to happen." FP11 pointed out.
"You'll find out later in this chapter…" NeoMark said.
With the Fentons of this timeline
Once training was done, Kenny sat down, panting and sweating.
"I'm so… exhausted…" Kenny managed to speak, barely able to sit up and balance with his elbows. "That was intense, Mom…"
"What do we say?" Sakura stood before him with fists at her hips, having a stern look in her eyes.
"Oh… uh…" Kenny was barely able to stand before he bowed. "Hai! Thank you, Sensei!"
Sakura beamed with joy at her son's respect for tradition as Danny approached.
"After dinner, care to practice some flying, Son?" He asks.
"I sure do, Dad!" Kenny said with an ecstatic smile.
"Well, go wash up." Sakura pointed to the house. "Just be sure you're both ready in half an hour. I'm making Miso Ramen and Karaage tonight."
"Alright!" Kenny raised his fist in excitement.
"Well, I see you got your stamina back…" Danny mused as his son ran back into the house.
"I'll be ready!" Kenny called out as he closed the door.
Danny and Sakura both smiled at seeing their son not be filled with fear and worry as he usually is.
"I haven't seen him that excited since he met Ryu-san." Sakura recounted how her idol met her son.
"Was that during that tournament the Masters' Foundation and the Garcia Financial Clique did another tournament? Millennium Fight, if I recall?" Danny asks.
"I believe so. Right around Doctor Light's presentation on his robots." Sakura thought back to when it happened. "So… any trouble out there?" Sakura had a knowing look on her face. "No temptations from certain Night Warriors?"
"I told those two… I'm married now and they got it." Danny said with a shrug.
"Good." Sakura said with an approving smile.
"Worst comes to worst… you and your old friend, Akira, can knock them around. Granted, one's a zombie and the other is a demon, but I've seen you fight alongside me against Akuma and Vlad, so we're a-ok." Danny joked.
"They're still your friends though, so maybe not too much." Sakura waved off the idea of fighting them as the two laughed together.
"A-ha! CVS… MegaMan… Rival Schools… DARKSTALKERS!" Deadpool handed the last omelet. "Capcom nerd and I'm lovin' it!"
"Capcom loves to hint their worlds are connected in some way, so… yup." NeoMark said.
"So that is what you were planning." FP11 said.
"So… what other Capcom franchises do you see being here?" 61394 asked.
"Ah. Let's see… those already mentioned. Also, before anyone asks, yes, Morrigan and Spidey would be close. Not necessarily romantically, but I'm totally down for giving them a surprisingly wholesome friendship. The MVC collection revived that ship." NeoMark said.
"I barely have anything to say about it so continue." PFN said.
"I wonder how the Teen Titans feel about a heroic character named Dr. Light." Luiz4200 adds.
"Didn't you mention MegaMan is set in the future? Is time travel involved?" FP11 asks.
"Ah… no, we can just pretend it's a modern day version of them, Capcom makes hints like those." NeoMark said.
"Just please tell me there's not a version of the Umbrella Corporation. There isn't, right?" BCFW asked. "I'm sorry but the probability of a zombie apocalypse happening sounds so…Blanche."
"Well… that one's dark but… since alternate realities and such are a thing… we can maybe have them meet the cast of Resident Evil in this story through dimensional travel? I'll admit, having Danny go up against Nemesis is a cool idea." NeoMark admits.
"Considering the last time Nickelodeon and Capcom did a collab… having Danny be married to the most popular Street Fighter and attract the attention of two Darkstalkers would upset people less than the TMNT DLC." Deadpool mused.
"I'd probably also have him meet the cast of Devil May Cry if this story was a thing." NeoMark admits.
"Face off with Vergil, nice." Deadpool nods.
"Ōkami?" 61394 asks.
"I remember that game! I'm glad someone mentioned it." PFN said.
"Any Capcom series could work via time travel and/or dimensional travel. Though, not Bionic Commando and the… umm… arm thing…" NeoMark went.
"Okay!" FP11 speaks up. "What is the whole arm thing you're going on about? I mean it. I'm legit curious…"
"Me too." PFN said.
"Let's see." 61394 also wanted the answer.
"Oh… so…" Deadpool showed them what it was on his tablet.
Namely, the infamous bit of plot from the 2009 Bionic Commando game.
The room went silent.
"...I will be honest when I say I'm not sure how to react to that…" FP11 said.
"This is too weird, and coming from me, that's saying something." 61394 said, covering his face with his hand.
"I heard weirder." PFN said..
"I'm not sure how to react either." Luiz4200 said.
"Yeah…that…I'm gonna say garbage fire." BCFW took his glasses off and rubbed his nose bridge in irritation.
"Oh… uh… at least he gets to fight cool Capcom baddies!" Deadpool tried to look on the bright side. "Oh… uh… Back to the story?"
"Right…" NeoMark said as everyone looked outright broken by the information they received. "Uh… anyone want a delicious fruit tart to take their minds off that bit of stupidity?"
"Yes please!" FP11 said as she and the rest ate the snack and enjoyed the rest of the show.
The Fenton family
The family finished their dinner.
"Can I go with Dad now?" Kenny excitedly asks his mother.
"Okay." Sakura said as Kenny happily got out of his seat.
Kenny's eyes flashed green and his hair turned white.
"All ready!" Kenny went.
Danny laughed as he morphed.
"We'll be back, Sakura." Danny said as he kissed the side of his wife's head.
"You better… or I'll give you such a pummeling." Sakura playfully threatens with a fist up.
"You say that like I hate that." Danny mused as he hovered off the floor.
Kenny held his father's hand.
"Let's go!" The Fenton boy said as the two went intangible and flew through the ceiling.
10 minutes later
Kenny was on his father's back, his arms out as he let the wind flow through his hair.
He had an excited laugh as he enjoyed the freedom of the skies.
Danny, looking over his shoulder, smiled. He hated seeing how worried and terrified his son was at the idea of not being capable of protecting the ones he loves. So, to see Kenny be an actual child was a weight off his shoulders.
I don't want my 7 year old to live with any stress… He thought.
"So, Son? Maybe not a Hadoken, but how about a ghost ray?" Danny asks.
"Uh… probably not, Dad… I don't want it to literally blow up in my face. Or on top of your head." Kenny said with a nervous look.
"Good call." Danny went before deciding to keep talking. "You know… I can barely use Ki attacks, even after your mom showed me. At best, I can make flashes with it when I'm low on ghost power."
"I know." Kenny spoke up.
"Point is… you're her son so you'll do way better with your Ki than I am." Danny assures his son.
"That's what Auntie Karin said. Are you sure?" Kenny asks.
"I am. But remember, you can go at it at your own pace." Danny assured him further.
"Even when the time comes for you to take on that monster again?" Kenny asks.
"Yup. Anyway…" Danny slowed down. "Ready to try flying?"
Kenny took a breath.
"Okay…" He said.
Ever slowly, Kenny jumped off his dad's back and shut his eyes, going through the mental exercises he was taught, to think of being light, to imagine that gravity had no effect on him.
Seconds passed and all he felt was the rush of wind. He was afraid he was falling before he felt his father pat him in the back.
"There you go, Son. You're doing it." Danny said.
Kenny opened his eyes and smiled. He was hovering 30 feet off the ground in the woods, above the trees.
"I'm doing it!" Kenny said happily as started to fly around his father. "I'm doing it! If I can do this, I can probably take on Pariah Dark or M. Bison!"
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves there, Kenny." Danny mused.
"Don't worry, I'm standing by until you think I'm good enough to take on the biggest dangers." Kenny said.
"Who do you regard as bigger than the king of ghosts?" Danny laughed.
"Are they talking about Dark Danny?" FP11 asked.
"Nope." NeoMark went.
"Is it Vlad?" BCFW said the question like a statement.
"Nope." NeoMark went.
"This guy? What's his name… Gil?" 61394 held up a picture of a red and blue muscular being that he didn't know how to describe
"Nope." NeoMark went.
"Uh… someone unrelated to Danny Phantom or Street Fighter?" PFN asks.
"A fully restored Wuya?" Luiz4200 suggested.
"Nope…" NeoMark said before laughing nervously. "Those would have been the super safe picks for a story like this. If this story had happened, or if I do a story like this, or if someone else wants to, they'd be super safe additions but… here's the… very unpopular choice I had in mind for the big Final Boss of the story…"
"You know… that monster everyone thought wasn't a big deal until he consumed all those ghosts." Kenny said.
"Right…" Danny realized who he was talking about. "...Necalli."
The building suddenly shook violently, causing everyone to almost fall. All of them stood, quivering in fear of the out of nowhere quake.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!" FP11 asked, shocked by this sudden event.
"What in the name of Super Sentai was that?!" PFN shouted, equally in shock.
"I haven't felt a disturbance on the internet that great since Neo said he wasn't using Katie! In fact, it's more furious! What did you do?!" 61394 built a pillow fort, hiding in it. "What did you do?!"
Deadpool peeked out as he noticed the alarms went off outside.
"Huh… everyone's cars have broken windshields…" Deadpool went casually. "Neo has just angered most Street Fighter fans."
"I CAN'T BELIEVE HE DID IT!" Yakko Warner was heard calling out from outside.
"WE'RE DOOMED!" Doofenshmirtz shouted in horror.
"I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON! IS THIS THE TIME TO RIOT?!" BCFW yelled, waving his arms frantically.
"What's going on?" Luiz4200 looked on edge from the sudden shake.
"Okay… umm… this is what I was afraid of when I had him say that name." NeoMark said.
"What?" FP11 asks. "You mean… Necalli?"
The ground shook violently again.
"OKAY, INTERNET! HOLD UP! I know that of all Street Fighter villains, he's not a popular choice!" NeoMark went, holding his arms up.
"He's not?" The rest asks.
"He is not. Unless you like playing as him… people DO NOT like Necalli." NeoMark said.
"Who is that? And, at the risk of alienating a fan base, why?" 61394 asks.
"Remember that popularity poll I brought up to help justify why I picked Sakura as the Street Fighter rep here?" NeoMark asks.
"That? You said she came at number one…" FP11 said.
"Well, usually when someone brings up a popularity poll, you bring up who's in the top, or at least those who ranked high as among the most popular, right?" NeoMark asks.
"Yes…most popularity polls are brought up for that. What's the point?" BCFW rolled his hand.
"Well… I bring that up because… you never bring up who's the… LEAST popular." NeoMark said.
"... so… where does this Necalli guy fall on that poll?" PFN asks.
"So… take that poll… remove anyone from the Udon comics, characters who never appeared after the first game, and characters exclusive to the EX games as they're owned by Arika. So… if you take all them out and are left with people who appeared after the first game… Necalli is third from the bottom. Only Rufus from IV and Birdie who was in I & V are ranked lower. And since Rufus isn't really a villain, just an inept rival to Ken, and Birdie became a dumb comic relief ally in V, that makes Necalli the least popular Street Fighter villain… ever." NeoMark said.
"... So… why are you bringing him up here? Why not… Gil?" Deadpool asks as he holds back his laugh at Neo for his choice.
"Well, I know he's not exactly beloved… but I'm still insisting that if this story happened, or if I do a story about Danny and Sakura, or if someone else does it, that Necalli be either the Final Boss or an important villain." NeoMark said.
"... go on…" BCFW tilted his head in a lackadaisical manner.
"First off… his whole thing is that he's an ancient entity of presumably Mesoamerican origin, a god-like being that comes once every several hundreds of years to cause destruction…" NeoMark.
"Really?…" FP11 went.
"…go on…" BCFW drolled.
"Also, his whole thing is to hunt down the strongest fighters around and consume their souls, sometimes their entire bodies by absorbing them in an almost Majin Buu-like manner by turning his body to a sand-like substance." NeoMark.
"Given the addition of Tekken, KOF, Marvel, DC and other works that feature fighters and whatever other video game characters Neo put in, it sounds like he'd be drawn to this world like me to a free Vegas-style buffet." 61394 peeked out of his pillow fort.
"Considering ghosts are spirits and how souls and spirits are easily interchangeable, we can have him outright absorb ghosts to increase his powers. You know that if Danny was a guest character in Street Fighter, the fandom would be on board with this guy eating less popular characters like Hotep-Ra." NeoMark said. "Not to mention, as established, we have characters he can go after like the Lorwardians, Vilgax, maybe even the Dark Dragon. Just have Necalli consume or absorb them and use their souls to make him stronger!"
"So, if he consumed the Fright Knight, Dark Danny and even Pariah Dark, he could potentially become even stronger than that?" FP11 asks.
"Exactly! Necalli would be perfect!" NeoMark said with a nod before adopting a more serious look. "But the other reason I want to use Necalli for a potential story… is because this guy deserves something you unintentionally gave Katie… Probably more than her."
"What's that? Getting to go to Xavier's school?" FP11 asks.
"Work on anger issues?" PFN asks.
"Go on a dating service and have the least read completed story in this franchise?" 61394 asks. "Read Danny and Katie after this, folks…"
"...no. This guy needs… a redemption." NeoMark said.
"Huh?" All of them went.
"He was being set up as the big bad of Street Fighter V, with his impressive design, his V-trigger giving him a cool Super Saiyan looking super form, and his Aztec appearance connects to the Aztec myth of the Five Suns since V had the planet go through an eclipse by M Bison and imply that's what woke him up. He even has the Roman numeral for 5 all over his body!" NeoMark said before sighing. "Guess what happened to him when the game's story mode was finally released?"
"... does he do something crazy or something?" PFN asks.
"He… attacked Charlie in a dream for no reason, attacked Ryu, only for Dhalsim to fight him off, attacks M Bison who overpowers him, gets knocked away by F.A.N.G. of all people… no I'm not explaining these names to people who don't know Street Fighter… chases after Rashid and Charlie but goes nowhere, fights Ryu… and gets his butt handed to him by Ryu before melting into goo with the dumbest expression ever…" NeoMark groaned. "And before anyone asks about DLC… he gets taken out by Balrog… then he goes after Akuma and seems like he absorbs him… until Akuma uses the Raging Demon to break free and… Necalli never shows up again. He's probably dead… I mean, the DLC put more focus on G, a character who some of the characters suspect isn't as good a guy as they think, and Gil, the Big Bad of III because V is set before III… Don't ask…"
"It sounds like Necalli is a character they're… um...how should I put this?…" FP11 said as she turned to a friend.
"Denying that they ever had anything to do with, like a creepy ex who got creepier..." Deadpool said, to which she nodded.
"Bury him like sea turtles bury their eggs." 61394 bluntly said.
"Pretended he never existed in the first place out of shame?" BCFW snarked.
"His problem was he was a vicious killer in a franchise that actively avoided killing off characters. Like putting Freddy Krueger in Care Bears…" Deadpool said.
"So, again, Necalli is probably the Street Fighter charact- no, the video game chara- no, the CHARACTER with the biggest piece of wasted potential ever. So… I say if anyone ever gets the chance, since Capcom is probably never bringing him back, use Necalli here and use him to his full potential to redeem himself." NeoMark said.
The shaking stopped.
"Well, you've appeased the fan rage until the reviews, at least." 61394 said
"...Is it over? The shaking?..." FP11 asked, looking around.
"I hope so…" Luiz4200 said with a breath.
"…Gonna stop caring. No offense to any fans, but I'm not particularly invested in the controversy." BCFW shrugged. "So… back to the story… before you bring up another controversial character?!"
"Right." NeoMark said.
"I bet as soon as he breaks out of that prison of his, you'll kick his butt like Ryu-san does!" Kenny swung his fists to emulate fighting.
"I sure will, Son, I sure will." Danny patted his head.
Danny shared a little more time in the air with his son, staying close to their home before it was time.
8:50 PM
Danny and Kenny landed in their backyard. Sakura awaited them, having dressed into her more casual clothes, which consisted of gym pants and a sleeveless orange shirt. Danny can't help but find it amusing how, even when she's not training or fighting, she's still dressed for it.
"Time for bed, Kenny." Sakura said as she opened the door.
"Right, Mom." Kenny said as they entered.
As he got dressed for bed, both Danny and Sakura breathed a sigh of relief. Kenny was their pride and joy. After what almost happened to Ken's son Mel, they knew they had to be careful, keeping Danny's identity secret. Only those the two trust know who he is, and they prefer to keep it that way. So, to see their son being happy that he finally got to fly on his own brought them joy.
Kenny got in his PJs as he waved to his parents.
"Night, Mom. Night, Dad." Kenny closed his door with a big smile on his face.
Both of them waved to him before his door closed as they headed to their room.
"He's definitely in a good mood after flying for the first time." Danny said.
"I'm glad, Danny-kun." Sakura let out a breath of relief as she said that.
"Well… after all we've been through today…" Danny opened the door to their room. "We deserve a little… downtime, huh?"
"Hmm… are you hinting at what I think you are?" Sakura winked.
"Well… as you and Ryu like to say… the answer lies in the heart of battle, so…?" Danny gestures to the gi she had on the bed that she took off when she changed earlier.
"Hmm… Fine with me." Sakura said.
The two of them shared a quick kiss before she went to change.
Outside, minutes later, after Sakura changed.
"HA!" Sakura swung her kick that Danny blocked.
With a confident smile, he pushed her foot aside and was about to land a blow when she performed her Shouoken. The impact sent him hitting the ground, sliding back before he let out a small laugh.
"How is it that, years of training and fighting alongside you, you're still a better fighter than me?" Danny asks as Sakura helped him up.
"Because… I don't rely on powers as much." Sakura said plainly.
"Ouch." Danny laughed as he got on his feet.
"Still, I was right about what a great sparring partner you'd be." Sakura winked at him.
"I can't lie, that was pretty darn fun." Danny said as the two headed back inside their house, closing the back door and went to their room.
Sakura laughed as she closed the door. Once she did, she approached Danny with a warm smile.
She cupped his face with both hands before kissing him sweetly, a kiss Danny returned.
Once the kiss ended, Sakura pulled away and began removing her footwear.
"I love you…" She says as she pulls them off.
"I love you too…" Danny said as he morphed to his human form.
Sakura began to undo her belt as Danny simply phased his top clothes off, revealing his strong upper body that was developed over the years.
Danny then phased his shoes off, kicking them away. Sakura pulled off her gi. Now here they were, him in his boxers, her in a sports bra and gym shorts.
The two of them admired how developed the other has become from years of combat and training. 15 years since they met and their attraction to each other never left. Even as they changed into their PJs, that didn't change.
"Sakura? Care to stay up just a bit more?" He asks.
"For once, you don't need the heart of battle to know… yes, I am." Sakura responded as they hugged and kissed.
Their kiss became more intimate as the two lay down in bed, happy to be together and that their bodies and love grew stronger each year.
"Well…?" Deadpool asks.
"Yes, they'll have another kid tonight." NeoMark said. "Let's call her… Cammy Madeline Fenton, named after the Street Fighter character that Sakura is also friends with, and, of course, Danny's mother."
"Ha! My man!" Deadpool raised a fist in acceptance.
"So… since we didn't have time last time, what'd you guys think of Kimiko? Then, please tell me what you think of this future with Sakura?" NeoMark asks.
"For Kimiko: I can definitely see a happy future with her and Danny. For Sakura: Same, especially since Danny likes strong women." FP11 said.
"For Kimiko, I like her… Xiaolin Showdown's a fun show. For Sakura, she wasn't my favorite video game girl but she and Danny are sweet together." 61394 said.
"Kimiko's nice. I can see the appeal with Sakura." BCFW said.
"For Kimiko: I like it because it has some complications with their relationship when they broke up. For Sakura: it's good. I have nothing else to say about it." PFN said.
"For Kimiko: She's awesome and her father's money can be used as a plot point. For Sakura: She can encourage Danny to exercise like Sam did in "Micro Management"." Luiz4200 said.
"So… next is the 5th runner up." Deadpool said before a thought crossed him. "...wait, last time it wa- Is it… could it be…?"
"Wait and see." NeoMark said. "So… anyone want any more dungeon food?"
"ME!" FP11 raised her arm.
"Really?" NeoMark was surprised, given her earlier apprehension.
"Turns out, it's quite delicious." FP11 smiled before frowning slightly. "Plus… after learning about the whole… wife arm… situation… I'm hoping for some kind of side effect that makes me think the whole thing was a weird dream from a food coma."
"I've already forgotten." 61394 added.
"I am so sorry you had to find out…" NeoMark rubbed the back of his head.
"That's a memory I could live with forgetting for the rest of my life…" FP11 said with a sigh before perking up. "So… who's next?"
"Ah yes…" NeoMark rubbed his hands together.
