A Different Future… 10
As Danny continued to mentally prepare himself, she arrived.
Danny saw her walking onto the beach to reach him, hiding his nervousness with a smile.
Here she comes… I got this, right? Right? He asks himself mentally.
She waved to him, making him take a breath and wave back.
He held the rose up, trying hard not to lose his nerve as his usual reaction to attractive girls returned.
"Somehow… everything I've been through up to now, even counting two really sucky timelines, doesn't scare me this much." Danny whispered to himself.
As she caught up to him, she stood before him with her hands behind her back.
"I made it." She said with a cute smile and a tilt of her head.
"I'm…I'm really glad that you agreed to this…" Danny said in a shy voice.
"I'm really glad that you asked me to come here…" She said, beaming with a childish smile that made her look as bright as the sun.
Danny took a deep breath, it was time to stop being shy and just be honest with her. To tell her about his feelings and the question he wants to ask her. He pushed aside all the pleasant thoughts he had that were keeping him from speaking what he needed to, and to find out her answer.
"Look…I…I have to be honest with you, I know that we haven't known each other very long…but I really like you…a lot…" Danny said, his heart still fluttering.
"I like you too, Danny…" She said with a giggle, all while speaking in that sweet sounding voice that made Danny feel a lightness that not even being unaffected by gravity could match.
Focus, Fenton…you got a job to do here… Danny thought as he tried to avoid mentally shutting down and say what he wanted to say to her.
"Look...I know that we haven't known each other very long, but….I think we have a connection…I can't lie, I have been out with a lot of girls since I joined the service, and while I did grow to care about many of them, you're the one who I couldn't stop thinking about the most…" He noticed a small blush form on her face. "I got some other girls who wanted me as their next date, but you're the one whom I want to be with here today…" Danny said.
"I didn't meet any other guys I wanna see. It's just you." She said with an innocent look on her face.
Danny chuckled before he took a deep breath, needing to do this now, before he loses his nerve.
"I think you're amazing…you're so strong, so smart and so beautiful…I think we truly have something between us…something special…so…what…what I am trying to say is…" With a gulp, he finally said it. "Kula Diamond, will you please go out with me?"
"And so… our final runner up. Kula Diamond from The King of Fighters." NeoMark said.
"So Kula huh." FP11 said
"Last of the video game girls." 61394 says.
BCFW hummed in a neutral tone. A poker face hid all emotions.
"Last but not necessarily the least." Luiz4200 commented.
"This is so cool, she was the last girl chosen." PFN said.
"Nice! Another video game girl! And all 3 of them ended up here in the runners up!" Deadpool raised his hand as NeoMark gave him a high five.
That's when a knock was at the door. NeoMark went and answered it.
"Package." The person at the door went.
"Thanks." NeoMark signed for it and brought the box in.
"What's that? Did you order some more monster food?" FP11 guesses.
"This'll be important later…" NeoMark said.
"Of course!" Kula went with a big smile as she held Danny's hand with much joy in her.
Feeling lighter, Danny smiled back.
"So… what shall we do on our second date?" Danny asks. "Lemme guess… ice cream?" He adds with a knowing smile.
"Yay!" Kula wrapped her arm around Danny's.
"So… what shall the little lady want this time?" Danny asks.
"Banana Split!" Kula went.
"And after that… maybe show me around South Town?" Danny asks.
"Yeah… you came a long way, after all. You should see the Pao Pao Café. Though, I'm not sure if we can eat there…" Kula looked up as she had her finger by her mouth.
"I'm guessing that's why we didn't go last time?" Danny asks.
"Yeah… but I think we can have some fun together anyway." Kula beamed at him.
Danny found her joy infectious as they continued.
"Pao Pao Café?" 61394 asks.
"I never heard of that place. What is that?" FP11 asks.
"It's a popular restaurant from both Fatal Fury and King of Fighters. I didn't include it since it wasn't really a place Kula goes to. Pretty sure it's an adult only restaurant too." NeoMark explained.
"Then why are the two minors going there?" 61394 asks
"Not to eat. Sight see." NeoMark explained.
"It's a café." BCFW said, his face buried in his phone. "I don't know about the adults only part, but it seems like a regular café. Since it's a stage in the games, ten bucks says there's some broker stuff going on there."
"Well, to be fair, my exposure to it is as a fighting game stage." NeoMark said. "Now… onto the date."
3 hours later
Atop the ferris wheel of the local theme park, Danny Phantom sat atop the highest carriage with Kula Diamond, who was now transformed and back in her purple outfit with gold gloves.
Both of them had cones of ice cream in their hands, but Kula's was a triple scoop.
"I had a lot of fun with you, Danny!~" Kula said cheerfully.
"I'm glad." Danny responded.
Kula inched close as one hand landed atop Danny's.
"So… does this mean… we're a couple now?" Kula asks with an excited smile.
"Uh, Kula?" Danny nervously said. "Maybe we take it slow? I mean… this is a second date so… maybe wait for a third?"
Kula blinked in surprise before pouting and looking away.
"Oh, I see! Too wishy-washy to tell me now, huh? Hmph!" Kula said, being childish as she pulled her hand away and folded it over his chest. "I'd cross both arms, but this is tasty…" She licked her ice cream.
Danny couldn't help but giggle as he pulled her in, much to her surprise.
"Don't be like… I like you. Why else would I be here?" Danny asks.
Kula turned her head to look him in the eye, her face having an unusual amount of warmth in her cheeks.
"Really?" She asks.
"Really really." Danny responds.
"...even though I used to be a weapon for a terrorist group? Even though neither of us know what exactly I did?" She felt a degree of happiness and nervousness over the idea that someone as nice to her as Danny would want to be romantically involved with her.
"I'm not interested in a weapon, Kula. I'm interested in this girl who caught my interest… Even if she eats way more ice cream than she should." Danny smiled at her.
"Hey! Ice cream tastes really good, y'know!" Kula went.
Danny laughed at this. Kula pouted before giving in and laughing along with him.
"Well… if it helps? Next time, let's have a date where I live." Danny suggests.
"You sure that's a good idea?" Kula asks.
"Yes, yes it is. I want you to go out with me there. I want you there with me." Danny insisted.
Kula's eyes sparkled and seemed to dilate upon hearing him say this to her.
She felt something in her, something she didn't think she'd feel, and it was only ever with Danny.
It's difficult for her to piece together, but what she felt was the early stages of falling in love.
She leaned into him, head resting on his shoulder.
"I'm not mad at you anymore…" She happily looked into his eyes.
Both of them shared watching the sunset together from there. Kula finished her cone up quickly, not that Danny found it surprising.
"So… what flavors were those?" He asked.
"Blue-moon, Hibiscus, and Strawberry." Kula cheerfully explains.
"...did that actually taste good?" Danny asks as he finishes his own ice cream.
"Did Kiwi Fudge taste good as a swirl?" Kula's own curiosity looking at Danny's ice cream.
"I'd have offered you a taste if you asked." Danny said, being playful.
Kula, eyes darting to his mouth, smiled.
"I know one way we can taste each other's ice cream…" She knowingly winked at him.
It took a moment but, upon realizing what she meant, Danny smiled back and slowly held her softly by the chin.
Danny kissed Kula then and there, the two savoring the remaining ice cream flavors before pulling back.
"Your ice cream… tastes a little… of a lot." Danny said not sure how to describe the flavors .
"Yours tastes nice. I should try it." Kula smiled.
"Wanna get it next time? And I do mean next time since I'm running low on money. Just because I saved cash on a plane ticket, doesn't mean I got cash to spare." Danny said, being penny conscious.
"Or…" Kula inched closer to his face. "Maybe I can taste it again?"
Danny shook his head with a smile as he and Kula shared another kiss.
One hour later
Danny landed on the now deserted beach, Kula in his arms like a bride.
"This is where I gotta go." Danny says checking the time.
"Do you gotta?" Kula asks.
"Sorry, Kule, I gotta get going." Danny said as he let her down.
Kula stepped onto the sand, having just now realized what he called her.
"Kule?" She asks with curiosity.
"I figure a nickname would suit you. Whadya think?" Danny asks.
Kula pondered a moment before smiling.
"I like it!" She went.
"Awesome." Danny said as he then hugged her. "I'll keep in touch, Kule."
"Okay, Danny." Kula smiled at him.
"I'll get in touch with you soon, that okay?" Danny asks.
"Yeah. No KOF tournament is happening after that whole thing going on with some white haired guy in red… I think." Kula responded.
"Then… my place next time." Danny said.
"Deal!" Kula beamed in his face.
Once the hug was done, Danny hovered upward and gave her a salute before looking away.
"Later, K'." He said before taking off.
As soon as he flew away, K' stepped onto the beach, having waited by the stairs.
"How'd he know I was even here?" K' kept his scowl as he wondered out loud.
"Danny's just amazing that way…" Kula gushed, hands on her face.
"Can we go now?" K' asks.
"Yeah…" Kula hopped with a twirl, the love she began to feel for her chosen date filling her. "Let's go home! I wanna send Danny a message soon as we get there."
Kula continued her lovesick walk home as K' stared at her from behind.
Once he was sure she wasn't looking, he smiled.
"She's found someone to make her happy in case something happens to us… that's a relief." He said with a brotherly sense of protectiveness and affection as he followed her.
"Okay… it's time for… A Cool Future." NeoMark said.
"...you're calling it that?" Luiz4200 asked, initially assuming that title was meant for the Coolsville girl.
"That one's a tad… cliché." BCFW said.
"Coulda called it the King of Futures or Future of Fighters…" Deadpool suggested.
"Ice pun, I get it." 61394 says.
"Oh! How about the sweetest future?" PFN suggests.
"We're doing my names." NeoMark insisted.
"Fine." FP11 said before noticing the boxes NeoMark brought were opened. "What's in here?"
"Waiting for the right moment…" NeoMark said. "Now for… A Cool Future!"
15 years later
In Japan, a stadium filled with people around the world cheered as they saw the latest match come to an end.
"The winner of the semi-finals! Kula Diamond for Team Phantom!" The announcer called out.
Standing near the defeated Athena was Kula Diamond. Now 29, she wore an outfit with the same color scheme she was known for, only now it was jumpsuit that looked much like that of Danny Phantom's, with purple replacing the black, and black replacing the white, save for the gold gloves she still wore, and the same kind of shoes she's always had with the ability to become skates, the pant legs being loose like disco pants, as was her sleeves. She now wore a belt, with the gold buckle being the logo of her husband. On her chest was a snowflake-like pattern with a small heart inside it. Her hair was the same length as when she was younger.
With a satisfied smile, she raised her hand up to wave to the audience.
"Thank you! Thank you!" She graciously said as Athena got up.
"Well… guess that's it for me." Athena nodded. "Best of luck in the finals." She offered her hand.
Kula took it.
"Thanks a bunch!" Kula said.
Once that was done, she ran off the ring and headed back to the dugout, where her teammates were waiting for her. Especially one in particular, who smiled happily.
"Nicely done, Kula." Danny Phantom said as he extended his arms for her.
"Danny!~" Kula went as she hugged him.
This was her husband for almost a decade, as well as her team leader.
Danny Fenton, still with his secret identity, was a NASA scientist and science teacher who has competed in these tournaments for the past 5 years alongside his wife.
Kula was a stay at home wife who, during their time dating, went by the identity of Kula Damon to hide that she was the same contender from the King of Fighters.
As husband and wife held each other, the third member of the team spoke up.
"Yo, lovebirds?" Dani asks, getting their attention. "Cute and all… but let's head back." She said.
"R-right." Danny blushed hard.
"Think they got some ice cream ready for us?" Kula asks eagerly.
"I sure hope so." Dani said with equal anticipation.
"...some things never change." Danny mused.
The two went into the locker room for their group, where Jack and Maddie Fenton, the latter aging more gracefully than the former with a receding hairline, waited for them with two children who had reddish hair and blue eyes.
"Nicely done. You three are going to go up against the team that everyone regards as the shoo-in to win." Maddie said.
"Thanks, Mom." All three said in unison.
"You three really showed your stuff." Jack grinned.
That's when a 6 year old boy approached the two. Wearing a light orange shirt with sky blue shorts and white shoes
"Nice going, Momma!" The small boy with reddish hair and blue eyes said.
"Thank you, Koichi." Kula smiled as she patted her son's head.
Koichi had a big smile as he hugged his mother's leg.
"Did you and Keiko enjoy it?" Danny suddenly asks as he approaches his boy.
"Sure did, Papa." Koichi went.
"Mama! Papa!" Keiko, a small girl with short hair, was in her grandmother's arms.
A small girl with Kula's natural strawberry blonde hair and Danny's blue eyes, wearing a bright yellow sundress with sky blue leggings worn underneath and white shoes
"Keiko!" Kula approached her and held her smallest child in her arms. "How are you? Did you miss us?"
As Kula doted on her children, Koichi was about to say something before noticing the door opened.
"So… you managed to knock her down, huh?" A familiar gruff voice spoke as he approached the two.
Koichi turned his head, seeing who it was.
A man who was 6 feet tall, pale white hair, tanned skin and black sunglasses. He still wore dark clothes and red gloves.
Koichi was silent for a moment before he happily greeted the man.
"Uncle K'!" He said cheerfully.
K' cracked a small smile as he patted the small child on the head.
"How's it goin' there, kiddo?" He asks.
"Did you catch our match, K'?" Kula asks.
"Let's just say I'm relieved I don't gotta take part in these stupid tournaments anymore." K' responds.
"Stupid? These are awesome!" Dani insisted, having gotten a taste for them.
"That's a matter of opinion…" K' said with a semi-bitter tone.
"So…" Kula spoke up. "With the final match coming up… can you let the kids and my in-laws sit with you?"
"Sure." K' said.
"I'm all for it." Jack gave a thumb's up. "Think they got those ice creams in the baseball helmets?"
"That's for baseball games, dear." Maddie points out.
"Oh…" Jack's disappointment was evident.
"Alright!" Koichi cheered. "I get to see Momma and Papa kick butt!"
"Sit tight, Son." Danny said as his parents went with K', taking their kids.
"So… looks like we better get ready." Dani went.
"Right." Kula gave a thumb's up.
"Behold, the future of Danny Fenton and Kula Diamond." NeoMark said.
"Time for thoughts." Deadpool went.
"This is a sweet little family." 61394 said with a smile.
"Cool." BCFW said. His wide grin flashed white teeth, knowing exactly what he said.
"It was pretty interesting and cool." PFN said with a pun.
"I wonder if Sam tried to enter a tournament to outdo Kula." Luiz4200 commented.
"Cool. I like that Danny also competes in the tournament alongside his wife..." FP11 added.
"So… question time." NeoMark said.
"So Danny entered these tournaments with Kula as a name after his team?" PFN asks.
"Do they spar a lot?" Luiz4200 asks.
"So, you know I'll just guesstimate again, right?" BCFW asked in a nonchalant tone.
"So what adventures did Danny and Kula go on?" 61394 asks.
"For my question… how did Kula help Danny with the ghost hunting stuff? And by that, I mean fight alongside him?" FP11 asked.
"Okay… to answer…" NeoMark said. "Yes, they spar and compete in tournaments, using Team Phantom since a lot of the teams in KOF use Team Something as the name. Like Team Japan or Team Fatal Fury."
"And I'm guessing Kula fights ghosts and other bad guys too, huh?" Deadpool went.
"Indeed. She helps him with ghosts as ice powers are still useful to many ghosts. It helps that Kula is already experienced in fighting. And during this time, she learns to make peace with the past she can't remember, the good and the bad." NeoMark said.
"Adventures involving them fighting ghosts and SNK villains?" Deadpool asks.
"Yup. From Vlad Plasmius to Geese Howard. From Dark Danny to Re Verse. Even bad guys unaffiliated with Danny or the KOF tourneys, like the Lorwardians and Neo Dio." NeoMark said.
"Neo Dio? Jojo's Bizarre Adventures is a part of this? Why?" 61394 asked.
"No… Neo Dio is a bad guy from an unrelated series called World Heroes. His name is based on the Neo Geo, which was SNK's console, and Dio from that same series because he's based on characters by the same manga author. He's also a time traveling villain." NeoMark explained.
"Oh great, another time walker." 61394 muttered.
"So yeah, Danny and Kula have one interesting life together." NeoMark said.
"Gonna assume she and Danielle get along?" Deadpool asks.
"They do." NeoMark nods.
"I recall the suggestion Kula can't have kids, that NESTS might've done something to her since they wouldn't want their weapon to have kids." Deadpool said.
"To that I would say… let's assume either she can… or they help her to gain that ability with a complicated procedure that almost killed her but she really wanted to have a family with Danny by blood. That last one is a bit dark, actually… so let's assume she can or that she took a special medicine from the Ghost Zone that only works for her." NeoMark said.
"Or that the Far Frozen, with their advanced technology, were able to help her without threatening her life." 61394 suggested. "They had Danny in a bacta tank knockoff in Urban Jungle, after all."
"Now… back to the tournament." NeoMark said.
With Team Phantom
"Dani, you go first." Danny said.
"Me?" Dani asks.
"That sounds great." Kula commented. "You can do it, Danielle."
"Well, if you say so…" Dani shrugged.
"You'll do great, Sis." Danny said.
"Yeah, as my sister-in-law, I got faith in you." Kula gave the OK sign with her hand.
"So, who's my first opponent in Team Mark of the Wolves?" Dani asks.
"The Brazilian martial artist, Khushnood Butt." Danny said.
"NEO! Don't do that!" FP11 said with a disapproving glare aiming towards him.
"Don't do what?" NeoMark asks.
"Don't come up with a character and give him a name like that! It's so… crude." She said.
"Kinda stupid sounding too. And that's coming from me." 61394 says.
"Khushnood? Really?" Luiz4200 shook his head in disapproval. "As a Brazilian, I refuse to believe a compatriot of mine has such a ludicrous name."
"Yeah…I know you don't like swearing, but what the (redacted) kind of name is that?" BCFW sighed. "It doesn't even work as a clever pun name or alias."
"Not good…" PFN also stated.
"...that's his name." NeoMark pointed to the monitor.
"I know… you gave him that name but you don't have to come up with a character and give hi-" FP11 was cut off.
"No… that's an actual SNK character and his name really was Khushnood Butt." NeoMark explained.
Silence filled the room. Expressions ranged from shock to greater distaste.
"... this isn't an OC? His name really is Khushnood Butt?" FP11 asked, sounding shocked by this reveal.
"Like… that's his name? Like… his actual name?" 61394 looked absolutely dumbfounded upon hearing this.
"...yes and no. His name in Japanese was Marco Rodriguez." NeoMark said.
"…Again. What the (redacted)!? Why that name?! Oh wait, is this like Street Fighter's deal with the villain, ninja, and boxer or whatever?" BCFW slapped his face with such velocity, his glasses almost shattered. A quick whip, and the spectacles were good as new.
"Well…" NeoMark took a breath.
"Here we go." Deadpool snickered.
"See? SNK has this history of… adding in characters who are references. You know how you aren't comfy mentioning characters from unrelated works or real world people and just wanna use stand-ins for your stuff, FP? You'd probably love coming up with names for characters at SNK. They're your kind of references, the best kind of references… the legally distinct kind." NeoMark said.
"Neo." FP11 said, not sure how to respond.
"So what's this gotta do with… the stupid name I don't want to say?" 61394 asks.
"Well…" NeoMark showed an image of Choi. "This is Choi… he's dressed like Freddy Krueger." He shows an image of K9999. "This is K9999… pronounced K 4 9… he's basically Tetsuo from Akira." He then shows the image of a real world man. "This is now retired Brazilian MMA fighter, Ricco Rodriguez. Marco was based on him."
"Big deal. What does that have to do with the name?" Luiz4200 asked. "Couldn't they come up with something better?"
"SNK, fearing he'd sue them for the obvious name reference, changed his international name to Khushnood Butt." NeoMark explained.
"... why? Why Khushnood Butt? Why use that name?" FP11 rubbed her temples.
"Why not just replace the Marco? Rodriguez is not a trademarked name or anything, so if anything, the character would be just a person with a common surname in the Latin community." 61394 questioned.
"Well…no one knows who came up with it… or why… but I should mention that Rodriguez retired in 2019 and, as of 2021, his name is now all around Marco Rodrigues, an S replacing the Z." NeoMark said.
"... then why —you know what? I'm gonna just be quiet or I'll just keep on swearing." BCFW said. His fingers pinched his nose.
"A paycheck was given for that name." 61394 looks away, rubbing his temples.
"...honestly, I just wanted to see everyone's reactions to that name." NeoMark smiled in a naughty manner.
Everyone glared at him disapprovingly.
"Please use the international one if that's his official name going forward… I'm adding this next to the Wife Arm thing as the list of things I'd rather forget." FP11 mumbled as she sighed. "Continue?"
"The Brazilian martial artist, Marco Rodrigues." Danny said.
"Who else is on that team?" Dani asks.
"B. Jenet, a self-proclaimed pirate princess. It's their team leader, Rock Howard, we should worry about. He was trained by Terry Bogard himself. Dude's tough." Danny said.
"You helped take on Orochi, Pariah Dark and even Thanos… you call Rock tough?" Dani asks.
"Remember." Kula raised a finger. "You and Danny can't use your powers that are against the rules. Plus, Rock isn't exactly allowed to try and kill you. And, you've seen him when that alien invasion happened, you know he's tough."
"True." Dani rolled her eyes.
"Still… think you can handle Rodrigues?" Danny asks.
"Consider him taken out." Dani raised a thumb up.
"Quick question, did you mean Thanos or Thanatos?" 61394 asks
"Thanos. Dark Danny might use that name, might." NeoMark asks.
"Just checking." 61394 says.
Outside
"The final round is about to begin!" The announcer called out.
The crowds were cheering for the next match.
Among them were Kim Possible and her family with Ron Stoppable. The girls from WOOHP, acting as secret aid in case something was to go wrong. Ben Tennyson and his family, which includes her cousin and brother-in-law Kevin, and his wife Ami. Abby Archer, who was currently divorced but arrived with her kids.
Unable to attend, Leni and her family, including her own kids, watched from her parents' house. She may not know Danny's identity still, but a friend of a friend insisted she watch.
Marinette and her family with Adrien Agreste were in the luxury box with many more wealthy families.
"I bet Danny will do well…" She said under her breath, still a friend and eager to see him in action.
And near her and her family was Ken Masters and his guests.
"Go, Danny-san!" Sakura, among her fellow World Warriors, were among the group.
"Let's see what he can do." Ryu, sitting nearby, said with his arms crossed and an intrigued smile.
"He learned from me, so he'll do great!" Ken Masters insisted.
Even people in Beach City were watching, having become more involved with the outside world. Lapis insisted on watching as she was glued to the television.
"Let's see you win, Danny." She said under her breath with a smile.
Back to the stadium, one family of superheroes watched.
"You got this…" Violet watched with excitement.
"Boy… you'd think after she married Tony, she'd stop being so obsessed with Danny?" Bob couldn't help but point out.
"Give her credit… she's enjoying it." Helen said with a smile.
Near them was current snowboarding athlete, Jen Masterson.
"I'm super glad Danny gave me tickets to see it. Not sure why, since he's probably somewhere else, but I like it." She said, still unaware of his identity.
Nearby was Mystery Inc, with Daphne and her husband, Fred, watching.
"Velma, the tickets your husband gave us are neato." Daphne said.
"I'm not sure why he insisted we go… but I can't say I hate it." Velma sat back.
"Speak for yourself…" Shaggy mumbled. "All of their food is normal sized and I can only get one of each…"
At home, still under house arrest for the destruction of magic before it was undone, Star and her husband Marco were watching. She grinned, still as eager to see some combat as ever.
Even Gravity Falls were watching, with Wendy glued to her seat.
Even in Danville, both Melissa Chase's friends and family watched with her, including Vanessa Doofenshmirtz. She was the only one who knew Danny's secret, rooting for him.
April O' Neil and her friends watched from New York.
Even Canada got a glimpse, with former Total Drama contestant Bridget watching with some interest.
Meanwhile, along with Ben and his wife, her friends were watching.
"Go, Danny-kun!" Makoto cheered, as she and her friends learned his identity thanks to Ben.
"YEAH! GO! GO! GO!" Yuki Kusakabe and her school friends attended to watch.
Even in places like Smithville, Penny Proud and her family watched, with Kimiko and her friends watching thanks to wi-fi added to the temple so they can all watch.
Taking a break, fashion designer of the monster world, Clawdeen Wolf watched for her friend.
Alfea got access to watch, with Bloom, despite being married, wanted to see her friend do well.
"He's got this…" She said with a smile.
Elsewhere, Liz and her son from her first marriage, named Normie, watched at the Parker house. And as she did, she had no idea the head of that family, Peter, knew someone they knew was attending.
"I shoulda agreed to join him…" Peter said under his breath, wishing he joined.
"Tiger…" MJ whispered.
"Right… right…" Peter said before seeing a small girl with red hair cheering. "Well… at least May is having fun…" He refers to their daughter.
Even in Malibu, the Roberts family watched, with Skipper building some new apps for her kids to play with.
At the same time, another group was watching in the audience.
"Danny-san! Katsu!" Asuka raised her fist in excitement.
And far from her, a former idol singer watched while in disguise.
"He's got this…" Lunar said with a smile.
And finally, a group of superheroes watched from another box.
"He will be successful in his endeavor." Starfire nods as she and her daughter, Nightstar, sit together.
And near the former mayor and his family are Sam and her own children from her first marriage.
"He's got this. Kick butt, Danny." She whispered with a desire to see him win.
"Perfect… bring everyone back for the last part." Deadpool nods.
Jack and Maddie joined Jazz, who was waiting for them. Sitting between the three were the kids, with K' at the end.
"You kids want some popcorn?" Jazz offered.
"Thanks, Aunt Jazz." Koichi took the bag.
"And for Keiko…" Jazz handed her a small bottle of fruit juice.
"Yay!" Keiko went as she took the bottle graciously.
As they sat tight, someone took notice of them.
"Been a while…" Terry Bogard spoke up.
"Oh… Bogard?" K' spoke up.
"Good of you to come support Phantom… but Rock's been prepping for this. Ever since that whole incident with Re Verse, he's been prepping." Terry said.
"Don't count him out. Kula and her husband aren't ones to be taken for granted…" K' said.
"Oh? That's good to hear." A woman's voice went.
Behind Terry was a woman of Japanese descent, dressed in biker gear with the zipper all the way up so as to not expose anything for good boys and girls.
"Oh, Mai? You're here too, eh?" Maddie asks.
"You betcha. As Terry's sister-in-law… I gotta support him and his protege." Mai insists.
"Well… just wait to see. Danny's not a weakling, after all." Jazz said.
"Yeah. Papa's tough." Koichi said with a big smile.
"Good to have some faith in your pop, little guy." Terry gave a thumb's up before starting to go. "Let's see how it goes…" Terry said before he went to his seat.
"AHA!" Deadpool pointed to the screen. "She was in her outfit from the upcoming City of the Wolves. See, FP?! I got my waifu in this story after all!"
"Calm down, Deadpool…" FP11 rolled her eyes before seeing NeoMark go to the box. "What're you doing?"
"It's time!" NeoMark pulled out what looked like headsets.
"What's that? A box of parts? Nintendo Labo?" 61394 asks.
"So… care to see the action... up close and personal?" NeoMark asks.
"Up…close?" BCFW questioned his words.
"So…" NeoMark held one hand up. "There's us…" He holds up another hand. "And here's what we're watching…" He put the hands together. "So…?"
"Ah!" PFN said before stopping. "I don't get it…
"Oh!" Luiz4200 realized. "You… wanna hold hands?"
"...no." NeoMark said.
"...I don't get it. Do you wanna play VR games or something? Because I honestly am confused right now" FP11 added.
"We can use these to get into the story and see the match for ourselves!" NeoMark shouted.
"... wait… really?" FP11 asked, sounding surprised.
"Yes. Testing it out… it'll work for one attempt… but that's it. That means… no using this for your Many Dates stories." NeoMark offered them to everyone but Deadpool.
"Huh… we can already do that, why do we need tech?" 61394 asks.
"We can't do that for this one because it's a different timeline altogether." NeoMark answered.
"I think I saw a similar explanation on Stargate once." BCFW put the headset on. "...now what?"
"Yeah… I'm not seeing anything but darkness… Is this thing on?..." FP11 asked, still not seeing anything.
"Okay… Imma push the button on this remote." Deadpool said as he held it up.
"Keep an eye on us, Deadpool." NeoMark said.
"WAIT! You're trusting HIM to watch our bodies? Because I'm not…" Luiz4200 said.
"Yeah… I'm hesitant myself… but I've done stupider." 61394 shrugged.
"It'll be fine… laters!" Deadpool pushed the button.
"Wait!" FP11 tried to protest. "We di-"
Suddenly, all went quiet as they entered the story.
"Heheheheh…" Deadpool took out a marker.
In the story
"Whoa!" FP11 looked around, seeing that she and her friends were at the very back row of the top floor of the stadium.
"We're inside the story?! This is insane and awesome!" PFN said, excited to be in the story.
"Awesome!" Luiz4200 exclaimed.
"Fascinating…. But how is this different from what we can do?…" BCFW asked.
"Again… we can't do that for this one." NeoMark answered.
"Drinks?" Deadpool approached them.
"Thanks…" NeoMark takes them as the rest stared in disbelief.
"Deadpool?! What are you doing here? I thought you weren't showing up?" FP11 questioned.
"I'm the Deadpool from this story…" Deadpool pointed out. "Yup, fourth wall breaks happen here too." He sat beside them. "Now shut up! It's starting!"
The group watched as Dani Phantom and Marco Rodrigues stepped into the ring.
"Here we go…" NeoMark had a big smile.
"Alright. Let see what this can do." BCFW said. He leaned back into the chair and relaxed.
"Hopefully it'll be like watching the world martial arts tournament . Also…" 61394 points to his drink. "This tastes the same as Green Cola in our timeline."
"For as long as it doesn't taste like Guacola, I'm fine." Luiz4200 replied.
"I am hoping that the Deadpool that we deal with is not bothering our body and pulling a Jigglypuff." PFN stated.
"Huh… I wonder if I can use this gadget again at some point in the future to watch Stranded or Hot Ectoplasma happen in person…" FP11 wondered out loud.
In the ring
Dani Phantom cracked her knuckles as Marco Rodrigues approached.
"I am conflicted about battling a young woman." Marco commented as he looked at the young woman, who was short, even by his standards.
"Don't forget... my bro and I helped with the... like... 5th coming of Orochi. I can punch out dudes like Balrog, so don't wimp out on me." Dani said.
"... I am no longer conflicted." Marco readied his fists.
Dani charged first, throwing a kick, which Marci easily blocked. She then threw a few punches, which Marco blocked with his palms before he grabbed her fist and threw her to the side before rushing in after her. Dani quickly used her powers to create platforms so she could avoid hitting the ground. She then looked and saw Marco charging with his fist glowing.
"Kohouken!" he threw glowing orange energy toward Dani, who yelped and quickly moved the platform to block the attack. The platform blocked the attack, but it still sent Dani flying, though she managed to land on her feet.
She saw Marco charging, so she quickly charged back, moving faster using ghost energy at her feet. With a roar, both of them threw kicks that made a small shockwave that sent them both flying. Meanwhile, Kula watched her sister-in-law fight Marco, looking worried.
"Are you sure your sister can handle this?" Kula asks.
"Definitely." Danny said.
In the stands, their two children were watching.
"Uncle K'? You think she'll be fine?" Koichi Fenton asks.
"No worries, Kiddo. She's basically like your dad, she can handle it." K' calmly said to his honorary nephew.
Marco threw heavy punches that Dani kept dodging, swerving her body side to side. Suddenly, Marco spun around and threw a kick, making Dani prepare for it. But it was a bluff, using the momentum to turn the kick into rapid punches, breaking a surprised Dani's guard, before sending her flying with an uppercut.
Marco watched as Dani's body slowly fell to the ground. But then, to his surprise, Dani used her hands to rocket herself towards Marco, using a weak ghost energy to boost her attack. Unprepared, Marco got a face-full of Dani's boots. Marco was sent skidding through the floor before he stopped, unable to get back up and continue the fight.
"Winner: Dani Phantom!"
Marco got back up and bowed.
"You were a worthy opponent. I felt the power within you bursting. You're gonna need it, for your next opponent." He said as he left the ring.
Dani grinned as she waited for her next opponent.
In came B. Jenet, young British woman of medium height, with waist length blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a backless and sleeveless purple dress that features a prominent skull and crossbones on the skirt with a long slit in the skirt exposes her legs, and a garter can be seen on her upper thigh, a choker, a red belt, loose golden bracelets, fingerless gloves, and purple high heels as well.
"Oh? So the pretty pirate is up next? This'll be a cinch!" Dani said with an overconfident tone in her voice.
"Oh? You believe that because you handed Marco his butt that you can handle me? I'm afraid your chances of victory have already set sail." B. Jenet shot back with a smirk as she got in position.
Dani rushed forward, propelling herself with her powers. But unlike Marco, Jenet was faster, so she managed to dodge Dani's rapid charge. Dani quickly changed course and charged again, but Jenet leapt over to dodge.
While she was in the air, Dani jumped forward while spinning, her feet glowing green as she used her powers to spin faster. Jenet managed to dodge Dani as she landed elegantly, as Dani roughly landed before turning to look at her opponent.
"You don't actually think you can hit me with those short legs of yours, right?" Jenet asked, with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.
"Hey! They're not that short! I'm a grown woman now!" Dani exclaimed, eyes glowing angrily.
"Oh, are you jealous you're not as…developed as me?" The blond said as she pushed her chest out, causing Dani's eye to twitch in annoyance.
"I mean, she's not wrong." Danny commented, causing his wife to pinch him on the back. "Ow!"
"Eyes off, dear." She said in a deadpanned tone.
"Oh, I'm going to hurt you a lot!" Dani exclaimed as she rushed forward, making Jenet smirk.
When Dani got close enough, Jenet stunned her with a slap on the face before moving to her side and delivered a kick that sent Dani to the ground. As Dani got back up, Jenet was charging at her, jumping towards Dani with a spinning drop kick.
"Many, Many Torpedoes!" Jenet exclaimed as she released a torrent of powerful kicks that it felt like Dani was being bombarded by torpedoes. With one last explosive kick, Dani was sent to the ground, forced to transform back as she lost consciousness, a hoodie covering her face.
"Winner: B. Jenet!"
Dani slowly sat back up, rubbing her head before someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned and saw Kula.
"My turn!" Kula said as Dani stood back up.
"Knock her off her pirate ship." Danielle gave her a pat on the back and exited the ring.
As Kula stepped onto the ring, she waved out to her kids in the audience.
"As soon as I win, we'll get ice cream to celebrate!" She called out to her children
As her kids cheered for the idea, K' shook his head with a fond expression.
"Some things never change..." He mused with a small smile.
"How much ice cream has she eaten at this point? How does she keep so fit with her diet and after having two kids?" 61394 asks.
"Let's just say she has one heck of a workout schedule so as to not develop diabetes…" NeoMark said.
The two women looked at each other, intently looking for any openings, as they circled each other. After a few intense seconds, both women charged at each other. They blocked each other's strikes before Kula threw a kick, which Jenet dodged. Jenet threw a punch, but Kula blocked it with her arm. Jenet threw a high kick, which Kula dodged by ducking before she threw a kick, which Jenet barely blocked, sending her flying a few feet away.
Jenet managed to stay on her feet, smirking as Kula returned the expression. The two women then rushed towards each other. Jenet threw an overhead heel kick as Kula did a spinning back kick. There was a thunder-like sound as both attacks hit each other before sending the two away from each other.
"You're strong, as expected, Kula." Jenet said with a smile.
"That's a compliment, coming from you." Kula said with a small smile.
"So, I'm going to finish this now!" Jenet exclaimed as she rushed towards Kula. "Ennui Mademoiselle!"
She rushed towards Kula, who created an ice shell just in time to block her flurry of strikes, the shell cracking from her onslaught. Kula gritted her teeth, waiting for the moment to strike. After a powerful, double-hand punch, the ice shattered, and Kula struck.
"Frozen Arena!" She slammed both her palms to the ground, causing an eruption of ice to hit a surprised Jenet.
She took the full force of the attack, and she landed roughly on her back, unconscious.
"Winner: Kula Diamond!"
"YAY!" Kula, swinging her arms out with a big smile, stopped upon noticing how childish she was being. "I mean... good match..."
She was trying to show more maturity since having two children, but, as K' said, some things never change.
"Looks like she's about to go up against Rock." Terry Bogard, who sat near K', said.
"She's not as afraid of fire as she used to be..." K' stated.
"Doesn't mean she'll win." Terry said as his wife, Blue Mary, held his hand in anticipation. "Take her down, Rock!"
Rock Howard stepped up. Rock is a handsome young man with blond hair and amber eyes, wearing a stylish multicolored jacket, biker gloves and jeans and sneakers.
"Been a while, Rock." Kula greeted the young man, who blushed lightly.
"Yeah, been a while. Not gonna lie... I always thought you were super pretty, Kula." Rock commented with a shy tone.
"Aww, thank you... but you know I have a husband and two wonderful kids now, right?" Kula cheerfully turned him down.
"Yeah... but I never said I'd let you win." Rock's smile grew confident as he got into his fighting stance. Kula smiled as she got back into her stance.
The match began as Rock rushed forward. He threw two light punches that Kula blocked, before he threw a heavy kick, which she ducked before throwing a kick at Rock, which he blocked. He then grabbed the leg and threw her to the ground behind him, but she used her hands to quickly get back up and threw another kick, this time hitting him in the face. Rock stepped back for a bit, giving Kula an opening to deliver multiple punches followed by an ice-powered kick that sent him to the air. She jumped after him to continue her assault, but Rock quickly rolled in the air to recover and did an overhead kick.
She threw a punch that hit Rock's head, but she got hit on the chest by his kick. The two quickly recovered on the ground, and Kula slid towards him, using ice on the floor to move faster.
"Crow Bite!" She delivered an uppercut that created an ice pillar that hit Rock on the chin, sending him to the air. Kula jumped after him, ready to finish it. "Diamond Bre-!"
"Raging Storm!"
Before Kula could unleash her attack, Rock threw his first, unleashing a torrent of blue energy. Kula was blasted by the energy that sent her crashing towards the ground. When the dust cleared, Kula was on the ground, barely conscious and unable to get back up.
"Winner: Rock Howard!"
Kula takes a knee as her husband walks onto the ring to help her up.
"My turn, Babe." Danny said as he helped her stand up.
Kula, though upset at losing, softened as she quickly gave him a kiss.
"Win for me, please." Kula whispered sweetly before walking off the ring.
Danny walked towards the center of the ring, looking at Rock. He remembered how short the kid was when they first met, and now here he was, a strong fighter.
"Gotta say... you've grown from being that kid who kicked me." Danny said with a small, nostalgic grin.
"I was little... but don't worry... I'll do more than kick!" Rock said with a smirk as the two got into their fighting stances.
"The final bout of this year's King of Fighters is about to begin!" Reporter Clemence Bellamy said before noticing some movement at the side of the ring. "And what's this?! Is that... it is! KOF competitor Alice Nakata! And she's with... a rock band?!"
Lights were focused on the side of the ring, revealing Alice Nakata and her band preparing their instruments and equipment. Once she realized they were spotted, Alice gave a cheeky smile and waved at the audience.
"In honor of Terry Bogard's contributions during his time as a competitor, and to close out the final match... we're dedicating this song to them and everyone who competed in this year's tournament! Here's a premium song! The Battle of Fate!" Alice said into the microphone.
"That girl..." Terry laughed with a hint of embarrassment. 'I bet Ryu doesn't get this from Sakura..."
The song began as both fighters buckled their knees.
"Ready, hero?" Rock said, raising his fists.
"Definitely." Danny responded before the two ran towards each other.
Both their fists collided as the match began.
"Keep running back and for success..." Alice sang.
The two jumped back a few feet before Rock rushed with a punch. Danny dodged and threw a kick, which Rock blocked by crossing his arms. Danny quickly threw two punches before another kick that pushed Rock a few feet behind. Danny quickly rushed him before sliding his foot through the ground, making a scorch mark on the floor, delivering a powerful kick that hit Rock on the jaw. He staggered back a bit before steadying himself.
"Nice... but don't think saving the world means you can win here!" Rock commented as he wiped the blood off his lip.
"Go and push me to the ground and I will..." Alice kept singing.
"Don't worry... I won't go easy." Danny said with a smirk.
The two rushed at each other. Danny threw a kick, which Rock caught and threw Danny on the ground. Danny caught himself before hitting the ground and used his arms as leverage to throw a kick at Rock, which he narrowly dodged before throwing Danny away. Danny created a wall to stop himself before using it to jump towards Rock, who threw a knee that hit Danny on the chest.
"You will see me rise... you will see me rise up... to the sky!" Alice sang, putting her heart into it as they were fighting.
"So, how have you been?" Danny asked as the two were in a grapple struggle.
"It's been good." Rock said. "I've been dealing with some family issues, but I've dealt with it. How are you after saving the world?"
"Good, a little annoying with the paparazzi." Danny said before Rock managed to slip behind him, grabbed him by the waist, and did a German Suplex, causing Danny to bounce from the ground. Rock then did a spinning kick, sending Danny in the air. He jumped after him, but Danny spun around and delivered a kick that sent Rock bouncing on the ground.
"Everybody wants to come there... see that Fatal Fury!" Alice sang as the band played their absolute best.
Danny rushed at Rock, but the blond threw a punch that hit Danny on the face. Danny retaliated by throwing a punch that hit Rock's face. Rock countered with a punch that hit Danny's right cheek, and Danny countered with a punch that hit Rock's left cheek. The two started throwing punches, each strike creating a spark of blue and green energy. The two then threw a kick that hit each other in the gut, causing both to kneel on the ground at the same time, holding their guts.
He's not that little kid anymore, that's for sure... Danny thought.
"You will see me rise... You will see me rise up... to the skyyyyyy!" Alice then stepped back as the guitar solo played.
The two slowly stood up before they tore off their shirts that were hindering their movement. With a roar, they charged at each other again. Danny managed to strike first, throwing two punches, but Rock threw an elbow that hit Danny's chest, giving Rock an opening to throw three punches before Danny threw an uppercut that stun Rock, giving him a chance to deliver a heel drop kick that hit Rock on the shoulder. Before Danny could pull his foot back, Rock grabbed his leg and pulled him towards him and threw a punch to the stomach. The two fell on the ground, Rock holding his shoulder and Danny holding his stomach.
"Not down yet..." Rock said as he pushed himself back up.
"Go ahead and push me to the ground and I will-" Alice sang.
"Me neither..." Danny said as he slowly stood up.
The two panted heavily as they looked at each other. Knowing that it was their last chance, the two gathered all their energy in their fists.
"You will see me rise... Go and push me to the ground I will-" Alice sang as the two put all their power into their fists.
Danny's right fist was glowing brightly with green energy as Rock's right fist was glowing bright blue. The audience had to squint to see through the bright, colorful lights.
"HAAAA! Both cried out as they ran towards each other.
Once they were in range, the two stomped on the ground, making cracks on it, as they threw their punches. Their fists grazed at each other, making a sound like a tire burning rubber on concrete. The two screamed as their fists got closer and closer to their target. Rock saw that his fist was faster, almost reaching Danny's face. Danny, seeing that, quickly unleashed some energy he had left to his elbow, causing it to release a blast that rocketed his punch at Rock's face, a second before his face got hit. There was a loud boom that almost blocked the sound of the music.
"You will see me rise up... to the sky!" Alice sang as the collision of fists caused an explosion of smoke that concealed both fighters.
Collective gasps silenced the stadium. No one breathed or made a murmur, all waiting to see through the dust to see who was the last man standing, with only their beating heartbeats to break the silence. After what felt like a long time, the dust cleared, and they saw someone on the ground.
Danny Phantom morphed to his human form, his face hidden by his hoodie and face mask, his expression unseen as he was on one knee.
"Danny...?" Kula said in a worried tone as she saw her husband on his knee.
Then the smoke fully cleared, and Rock was on the floor, knocked out.
"...Danny Phantom... is the winner!"
"This year's victor is TEAM PHANTOM!"
Danny Phantom, Dani Phantom and Kula Diamond stood on the podium, being given the championship belt as the crowd cheered for them.
As Danny waved, he noticed Rock Howard from a distance, who gave an encouraging thumb's up and a smile to show no hard feelings.
And with that, NeoMark stood up.
"Let's get back…" He said as he looked up. "Okay, Deadpool."
"Yo?" The Deadpool in the story.
"The other one, the one waiting for us." NeoMark clarified.
"Gotcha, chief." This Deadpool said.
"Time to go." NeoMark said.
All of them disappeared
In the office
All of them took their goggles off.
"Interesting." BCFW examined the machinery. A slight twinkle gleamed in his eye at the device. "You know this could—WHOA! Uh…" he paused, looking at 61394.
"What?" 61394 asks. "Do I got some ketchup on my face?"
All of them stared at the childishly immature words drawn all over his face thanks to the marker Deadpool had.
"N-nothing…" PFN tries not to laugh.
"Uh… nothing…" Luiz4200 went.
Deadpool snickered from a distance.
"Finally! Revenge is mine for your Dragon's Lair prank!" He went.
"Hilarious..." 61394 rolled his eyes.
"Deadpool…" NeoMark shook his head before scratching the side of his head, noticing something amiss. "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HAIR?!"
Everyone remained silent for a moment.
"Want a wig?" PFN suggests. "I know a guy who has these great wigs you can wear. I can-" NeoMark glared at him, making him shrink back. "Never mind…"
In the story
Thanks to the ability to make portals, Danny was able to bring everyone home, including his wife and kids into their more humble house in the suburbs.
As they returned, Frostbite appeared for them.
"Greetings, Great One, his mate and their heirs. The city has remained mostly safe, with the huntress Gray keeping an eye on things. Your home is safe." Frostbite said respectfully.
"Thanks, Mr. Frostbite." Koichi smiled up at the yeti.
"Did you catch the tournament?" Danny asks.
"I did! You were astounding!" Frostbite cheered. "And now… I must bid you all adieu."
"Why not stay for our celebratory dinner?" Kula asks.
"I would enjoy that, Love of the Great One… but I must return to ensure the guards I put up to protect the Infi-Map are doing their job." Frostbite bowed to them. "Until next time…"
Frostbite hovered before phasing through the ceiling.
Kula nodded with a pleasant smile on her face.
"I always like going over to his realm… it's so nice and cold…" She said.
"You know what isn't going to be cold? Dinner." Danny cracked his knuckles. "So… what'll we have? And don't say ice cream, that's for dessert."
"Lasagna!" Koichi spoke up.
"Macaroni!" Keiko went.
"Pie!" Kula suddenly went before noticing the look of amusement on Danny's face. "I mean… Pizza Pie!"
"Italian it is…" Danny smirked.
"Does that mean…?" Kula held her excitement back in case Danny said no.
"Yup. Gelato for dessert." Danny said.
"YAY!" Kula, Koichi and Keiko cheered in unison as Danny got the app to order.
After dinner
The family of four relaxed on the couch, having rewatched the event on their DVR.
"I almost thought Rock got you, Papa…" Koichi said.
"So did I…" Danny admits as he swung his hands to the back of his head.
"Papa is bestest!" Keiko happily went.
"He sure is." Kula snuggled into Danny.
"Yeah… these tournaments are a great way to keep in shape the next time we gotta deal with stuff, not just the ghosts." Danny said.
"I bet as soon as I get bigger…" Koichi got up. "I'll be awesome like you!"
His eyes flashed from blue to green like his father's, and his hair changed from strawberry blonde to blue like his mother's. His suit didn't change, as his powers only became active recently, but he already showed signs of being invisible and emitting cold energy. Whether that was his mother's power or his father's was anyone's guess.
"I'm sure you'll be plenty awesome, Son." Danny said with a pleasant smile.
"Think I can be a superhero who does the tournaments too?" Koichi asks eagerly.
Kula, watching her husband and son talk, kept silent at how peaceful she felt.
She had no memories of her birth family, but she found a family with Maxima, Whip and K'. They were the family she made and found herself a part of.
And now, meeting Danny, she found a family of blood with two children she had with him. She felt that, if her birth parents were watching over her, they'd be happy to see the grandchildren she's given them. Especially with someone she fell in love with, a genuine hero who saw her and not her power or past.
Kula, holding onto her darling daughter, Keiko, nodded.
"I'm so happy…" She whispered.
Later
Kula set her 3 year old girl to bed.
"Nighty night, Keiko…" Kula said sweetly.
"Night-night." Keiko said before falling asleep.
Kula nodded and made her way out, seeing Danny in Koichi's room and getting him tucked in bed.
"You remember what we said?" Danny asks.
"Tell no one you're Danny Phantom… that you're the best superhero who also takes part in the King of Fighters Tournament." Koichi said. "I'm a good boy."
"Yes, you are." Kula peeked in with a smile. "And good boys go to bed at 10."
"Right…" Koichi yawned.
"Good night, Koichi." Danny whispered.
"See you in the morning." Kula said.
"Okay… g'night…" Koichi yawned as he fell asleep.
Once his door was closed, both Danny and Kula nodded to each other, deciding to spend some time alone.
In their backyard.
Kula, once again in her outfit, changed her eye and hair colors as her foot touched the pool, freezing it solid instantly.
"Ready, my love?" Kula asks.
"Definitely." Danny morphed as he hovered over the ice before his powers made icy blades under his feet, making skates.
Kula, smiling at this, formed ice around her feet to make skates too.
"Now let's see if you're as good at ice skating as you are at fighting…" She said with a confident look in her eyes.
From there, the two skated together, a dance that mixed some martial arts and a bit of improvisation on Danny's part. All while discussing their time in the tournament, their battle with beings such as Verse and Pariah Dark, and plans for the future.
All the while, the two felt peace to be without anyone looking, thanks to their house being atop a hill.
Kula performed an elegant twirl as Danny skated past her, doing a dab that she found amusing.
"Still a fan of that, I see…" Kula giggled.
"You're not the only one who hasn't fully outgrown being a kid at heart…" Danny said.
"Hey! I've matured! I don't do the eye and tongue thing anymore…" Kula went in faux-offense.
"I know… you've matured." Danny let his eyes wander her figure.
"Not just that." Kula had her fists at her hips as she looked away, pretending to be upset. "Well… now I'm mad at you!" Her smile betrayed her claims.
"That so?" Danny approached her, skating before managing to break in front of her. "Well… what can I do to make you not mad anymore?" His tone was clearly one of playfulness and flirtation.
"Hmm…" Kula opened one eye and cracked a smile. "Well…" Her hands reached for his chest. "I can think of something…"
She then looked him in the eye before kissing him. This caused Danny to hold her by her waist as Kula wrapped her arms around his neck.
The kiss deepened as Kula lifted her leg a bit as Danny used his hand on that side to hold it up as he hovered them both up off the ice and landing on the ground.
Their kiss ended. As they looked longingly into each others' eyes, Danny morphed back to human form while Kula's eyes and hair changed back to normal. They hold their gaze for a moment longer before Danny offers his hand.
"Time for bed, Kula." He said.
"Okay…" Kula, her face turning red, took his hand.
The two made their way to their room. As Danny changed, Kula got out of her suit and put on a yellow nightgown for her beloved.
"Gotta say, Kula." Danny spoke up. "I'm looking forward to some time off from the tournaments."
"Even the ghosts?" Kula playfully asks.
"Yeah… but at least I got you and our kids… that's all I need in life right now." Danny said.
"Right now?" Kula acted like Danny was saying something wrong, a smile betraying her false tone.
"Well… a nice little vacay wouldn't hurt." Danny shrugged.
"Well, you'll have to settle for the woman who loves you." Kula smiled at him as she presented herself to him.
"...I can live with that." Danny responds. "Especially since I love you too…"
"C'mere you…" Kula approached him.
The two kissed as they fell to the bed, embracing each other.
And so, their latest adventure ended and all that was left was to finally embrace one another and show their love for each other.
Danny Fenton and Kula Diamond were happy, in love, and able to relax as they kissed and began to take advantage of being alone.
"Another kid?" Deadpool asks.
"Yup… let's say… a boy named Kensuke. I know Kula's ethnicity is ambiguous… but I'm assuming she's at least half Japanese because the games are by a Japanese company." NeoMark said. "So… we've done it! FINALLY! The last full chapter for a runner up!"
"I liked how Danny competed with Kula in the tournament, and how well they work together as a team..." FP11 said.
"Congratulations!" BCFW clapped.
"WHOOHOOO!" 61394 cheered.
"Alright!" PFN cheered.
"Yay!" Luiz4200 said.
"And I managed to finish this all before-" NeoMark sees the time. "Oh [CENSORED]!"
"Oh… he didn't finish in time…" Deadpool snickered.
NeoMark let out a censored rant at how he was too distracted during the year, meaning he won't finish the last chapter before 2025.
"Neo? It's okay… You don't have to be so strict with your deadlines…" FP11 said.
"Yeah, Bud. I didn't even come close to making my goal." 61394 said.
"Don't worry, buddy." PFN said.
NeoMark inhaled deeply.
"At least I finished the last runner up chapter." NeoMark said before groaning. "Well… may as well do the brief future with the other girls. But… to make it easier for me, let's only do the girls who are new."
"That's okay." Luiz4200 replied.
"Let me know if you need help." BCFW smiled.
"Let's do this." PFN said.
"With the other repeats, it would probably be more deja vu or you using FPs original epilogues as a jump point." 61394 gave an encouraging thumbs up. "You can do it, Neo."
"Yeah… we are here for you Neo." FP11 said in an encouraging way.
"Wow… I am so behind… this really IS my take on Many Dates, isn't it?" NeoMark did a face palm. "Well… let's get to it…"

Not sure how scaling would work as the Gene seems to be random with what powers they get.
