Chapter 26-unexpected
Philip's POV
The flight to New York feels never-ending, lasting five hours. My mother promptly took Nessa from me. Andrea went with Penny, Amy, and Amelia, while I went to my brother's condo, leaving them all at the hotel..
"I wish the wedding was today. I found out Amy's ex-girlfriend is in New York," Brian says, running his fingers through his brown hair.
"Has she seen Amy?" I asked, knowing my brother could easily find a girl that would be less drama. I knew, however, that he enjoyed a challenge.
"No. Kelly is here. I drugged her and handcuffed her to a bed. I can't let her stop Amy from marrying me. That is why she is here."She told me exactly that before I drugged her," he said, shaking, and led me to the room where the twenty-year-old girl is chained to a bed.
"You injected her with midazolam? Do I even want to know why or where you got it?" I wondered how we got out of this situation. My brother led us into a dark place. I walked up to her and felt her heartbeat. She is alive, which relieved me. She is a pretty girl with a skinny figure, tan skin, short height, and dark brown hair framing her face. I find myself touching her strangely.
"I almost used it on Amy, but I didn't. What are we going to do with her? Could we take care of her like you did Michonne and Sarah?" He says nervously.
Brian's head is really messed up. My brother obviously has the same sickness as me. Now it was time to clean up this mess.
"No, I am trying to stop doing can get addicted to , I have to make sure I can get away with the crime or make it seem like her death was an accident. Michonne and Sarah's car wrecks looked like an accident. I would need to plan something for Kelly, and we're out of time before the wedding. But we are going to have to do something with her nowWe can't get rid of her, but she can't stay here.. We don't have time to get her back to Florida either,"I said, knowing this wouldn't satisfy my brother.
I was lucky with Michonne, but I couldn't be lucky again. I wanted to kill Shane multiple times, but if something happened, I would be the prime suspect. I didn't want to harm my wife, Sarah, but I couldn't let her leave with my daughter, Penny. I had no other option..
"I have a plan to handle her. I know someone who can take care of her until the wedding is over," he says, moving he fingers through his dark hair.
"It's not Negan, is it? That guy is trouble waiting to happen," I warned my brother.
"I already called him in a panic. He is going to make sure she gets home to Florida safely," he says, pacing the floor.I saw her, and knew Negan wasn't planning on taking her home. Not to her home at least.
"At least, she won't be with us. I will get all security footage for us we own this building. What did you tell him?" I asked, breathing.
"The truth and that she is a cherry," he says under his breath. I watch as he unlocks the handcuffs and gathers her belongings. He places her cellphone and purse besides her.
"She is a cherry? It would make her way more valuable, for sure. Especially with her being so young and pretty," I said, feeling disgusted at what we are doing. She is only eleven years older than my daughter, I think. If Negan got her, there's nothing I could human body to get rid of, no explantations needed. She blacked out and Negan found her. That's a realistic story right?
"I am sure she is. Amy and her had been dating only each other since fourteenAmy said they weren't really into guys.. They only used their fingers and tongues on each other," he says, looking at his phone.
We hear a car pull up to the garage. "Help me carry her to Negan's car," Brian says, lifting her up by the shoulders. I carry her by the feet and we place her inside Negan's vehicle. He stands there in front of us wearing black jeans and a white tee-shirt.
"Isn't she adorable?" Negan says, looking at her with his dark brown eyes.
"You're going to make she gets home safely?" I asked, as my brother tosses her black purse into his black Bently.
"I will take her to my hotel room so she can sleep. Later, I will ask her what she wants to do. If she wants a ride to the airport, I will make sure she gets there. This way, your brother won't be blamed for drugging her. I'll tell her she blacked out, and I brought her home," he says hurriedly..
"You will let me know when she wakes up?" Brian asks knowing he had messed up bad.
"With the drugs you used, she should be up in few hours. No longer than six hours. I will send you a text message, but Kelly and I will be fine. I am going to take really good care of her. She'll be better than she has ever been," he says before driving off.
"I will go get the security footage deleted. Other than Amy, it doesn't seem like Kelly has alot of friends or family. Just her dad,Daniel Carter, and younger sister Maria. Her mom, Victoria Pérez is left them when she was a kid and she doesn't have any friends other than a few coworkers. So we will have a few days before anyone even looks for her. I texted her dad from her phone letting him know she was okay. That should buy us more time. Hopefully, she makes it home with no issues," I said,curious to what Negan's plan was. He took her really fast with no questions asked.
"He wants to keep her as his girlfriend. I mean, she is a beauty. Clearly half latino and looks like Rachel I wasn't with Amy, I'd be interested too. I can see why Amy dated her," he says obviously unaware how much trouble we could be in .
"You didn't tell him he could keep her,did you? Because you can't give away people."
"No, I offered him an opportunity to met an attractive woman and he took it. I mess up but Negan will fix it. He is a millionaire, and he is very attractive. I think she will like him. Most girls do,"Brian says feeling relieved. My mind goes to dark places about everything he could do with this girl. I would have to make sure nothing could be traced to us.
"She is gay. If he gets anywhere with her, it will be only because of his money," I said getting ready to go get the security tapes.
"Worst case for Negan, she rejects him and goes I don't think Negan would hurt her," Brian says before I head out to delete the security footage that included Kelly, Negan and my brother.
Several hours later, I was finally open to remove all footage that included us. My heart was pounding. I haven't been this scared since I ran Michonne off the road.
Keeping you safe Andrea is a full-time job. I don't have time to deal with Brian and your sister's problems. I take my brother out around the town and we post everything on social media. So we can be seen being out together and have abili.
Later that night, Negan sends pictures of Kelly eating dinner with him. I couldn't understand how she went from being drugged to hanging out with a stranger. It seemed like Negan either blackmailed her or she was very naive.
