Finally, the chapter you've been waiting for. The final Chicago adventure. Sorry I didn't have the character lines from the second episode of Angel. Trying to combine lines with dialogue does not agree with me and/or writing fanfics.

After Emily was tucked into bed in Rosie and Dim's room, the group made their way into David's room. The adults settled in with David and Lily on the bed, Mike and Angela resting on the footboard, and the bugs taking their respective spots around the room. David reached for the PS3 controller, pressing the PS button, which brought up the XMB menu on the screen. He selected the DVD from the video section and waited for the disc to load.

"You think you can handle Angel, big buddy?" Mike asked with a playful pat on Dim's side.

"Dim think so," the rhinoceros beetle replied, looking confident as the TV screen flickered to life. He adjusted his position, making himself comfortable on the floor, ready for the show's dark, supernatural adventures.

The screen showed the DVD's main menu, and the familiar Angel theme music played as David selected the first episode from the list. The episode began with the usual cold open, no opening credits just yet, setting the stage for the night's viewing.

"You ready?" David asked, glancing around at everyone.

"Born ready," Mike replied, his eyes glued to the screen.

As the episode unfolded, the group settled in, ready for another round of Angel with their favorite characters. The bugs, though unfamiliar with the show, were intrigued by the mysterious vibe, watching intently as the plot started to develop.

The room fell silent except for the sound of the show, and for a moment, it felt like the perfect end to a long, fun-filled day.

At the Angel Investigations offices, Angel sat in the dark, and the group watched him blink when the lights turned on.

"Starting off real moody," Mike commented, shaking his head. "I swear, this guy never takes a break."

"Guess it comes with the brooding vampire gig," David said with a chuckle.

Doyle soon entered, talking about a night out and a plan to get Angel to break his isolation. "Doyle sure knows how to drag someone out of a funk," Angela remarked. "He's like the only one who can get through to Angel."

"Yeah, and then there's that whole 'personal agenda' with Cordelia," Rosie added with a grin. "He's got his eye on her. Classic."

When Cordelia arrived with the business cards she had printed up for Angel Investigations, everyone shared a laugh at her angel drawing.

"That's supposed to be an angel?" Lily asked with a raised eyebrow. "Looks more like a toddler's doodle."

"I think it's a butterfly," Mike laughed, "but I'm just guessing."

"Definitely looks like someone's first attempt at drawing," Francis snickered. "And it's not like they even tried to make it look like an angel."

"No way, it's an owl," David joked, shaking his head. "Doyle's just trying to see the world through rose-colored glasses."

As the episode continued, with Angel trying to make a connection with Kate at the bar, the group leaned forward. "They're both awkward," Angela commented. "It's like watching two people who don't know how to interact with anyone."

Mike nodded. "It's like watching two fish out of water trying to figure out how to swim."

When the troublemakers at the bar began taunting Cordelia, everyone was quick to react.

"Typical jerks," Rosie huffed, watching the scene unfold. "I don't know what's worse—their attitude or how Cordelia handles it. She's like, 'Just watch me.'"

"Yeah, she can hold her own," David agreed. "But Doyle's about to make this go south real fast."

"Isn't Doyle always the one who escalates everything?" Mike asked, smirking. "It's like a signature move for him."

When Angel sprung into action and took down the troublemakers, there was a shared sense of satisfaction.

"There he is!" Lily exclaimed, smiling. "Angel's back in business. That's the guy we came here to watch."

"Nothing says 'I'm a vampire hero' like a good fight scene," Mike joked.

Later, when Sharon was murdered, the group grew quiet. "Okay, this just went dark real quick," David said, shaking his head. "That was unexpected."

"Yikes. Talk about a twisted plot," Angela murmured. "Didn't see that one coming."

As Angel tracked down Sharon's killer, the tension mounted. "This guy's not messing around," Rosie commented. "He's on a mission now."

When Kate arrived at the crime scene and arrested Angel, there was a collective groan.

"Of course Kate's pulling the 'I'm the cop, you're the suspect' card," Mike said, rolling his eyes. "Couldn't get more predictable than that."

"I think she's doing her job, but c'mon," Lily sighed. "Not like Angel's the killer here."

The fight at D'Oblique continued, and the group reacted when Kate got knocked out and Angel had to face the bartender demon alone.

"Wow, this guy just keeps getting beaten up," Francis chuckled. "I mean, come on, it's Angel!"

"Poor guy just can't get a break," Rosie added sympathetically. "He goes from fighting demons to social disasters."

When Kate finally came to Angel's aid and shot the bartender, there was a collective sigh of relief. "About time," David said. "That was getting a little too close for comfort."

"Seriously, I thought Angel was a goner," Angela said. "That demon was not letting up."

Kate and Angel's conversation afterward got the group thinking.

"Okay, she actually apologized," Mike noted. "This is the part where they bond, right? Nice to see Kate actually admit she was wrong."

"She's finally getting it," Rosie agreed. "It's nice to see her take responsibility for her actions."

As the credits rolled, the group was left with a mix of emotions.

"I think they're finally getting somewhere," David said, smiling as the scene closed. "I like the direction this is going."

"Yeah, Kate and Angel? Could be an interesting pair," Angela commented thoughtfully. "But man, Angel's gonna need a nap after all that."

"Just wait until the next episode," Rosie grinned, "this was just the warm-up."

After the credits, the screen displayed the Mutant Enemy logo, followed by the Kuzui Enterprises and Sandollar Television logo. However, this time, the usual visuals were replaced with simple text in Bernhard Modern font reading "Greenwolf Corp" above the traditional logos, set against the familiar metallic background. Again, there was a brief moment of silence before the screen cut to the 20th Century Fox Television logo, and then faded to black.

"That was the Greenwolf Corp logo you mentioned?" Gypsy asked, tilting her head in curiosity.

"Yep," David confirmed with a nod.

"Kinda underwhelming for a logo," Francis muttered.

"Don't worry," Mike chimed in with a grin. "It changes next episode."

"That fast?" Manny asked, raising a brow.

"Yup," Lily replied. "And it lasts through the rest of this season."

"And next season and 3 is David Greenwalt, right?" Slim asked.

"Exactly," David said. "He co-created Angel with Joss Whedon, but after Season 3, he stepped back and only did occasional stuff."

"Oh, I see," Rosie said thoughtfully. "So, does that mean there are changes after that?"

"Big ones," Angela jumped in. "Each season kinda has its own vibe. Season 4's... well, intense. And Season 5 feels more polished but different."

"Interesting," Francis said. "I guess we'll find out."

"Yep, but not tonight," Mike said with a chuckle. "We're done for now. Next time, we'll dive into more of Angel."

"My guess is the second logo we see at the end after Mutant Enemy will be completely normal, like the very first episode, once we reach season 4?" Heimlich asked.

"Yup," Lily confirmed. "It'll be the standard one from then on. No more of this 'Greenwolf Corp' stuff."

"That's good to hear," Francis chimed in. "The logo's starting to get a little... complicated for my taste."

"Yeah, a bit too much going on for just a logo," Mike agreed, stretching his arms.

"But it's all part of the transition," David said. "After the 'Greenwolf Corp' logo, we get the David Greenwalt Productions logo, and that stays consistent from then on too."

"I'm just glad we're sticking with the show," Rosie added with a smile. "The changes are interesting, but the episodes are what really make it."

"Agreed," Manny said. "It'll be nice when things feel a bit more stable."

"Well, for now, we get to enjoy the ride," Lily said, grinning. "And next season's pretty great too."

"So, what's next?" Dim asked, his antennae twitching in curiosity.

"Well, no more episodes tonight," Angela replied, smiling as David turned off his PS3. "But next time, we'll get into more of the action. You'll see what I mean when you get to the good stuff."

The group nodded, the excitement of the next adventure still lingering in the air. The bugs stood up, stretching their limbs, ready to get some rest before tomorrow's plans.

"Alright, let's get some sleep, gang," Mike said with a yawn. "Big day ahead."

"You can say that again," Gypsy added as she turned to head for the door.

As the group slowly dispersed, heading to their respective rooms for the night, they couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the next episode—and the new surprises it would bring.

After everyone left, David closed the door to his room, ensuring a quiet, private space. He and Lily moved to change, setting their clothes aside until they were down to their underwear. The soft glow of the bedside lamp cast a warm light over the room as they climbed into bed together, settling comfortably under the covers.

Lily leaned her head against David's shoulder, letting out a contented sigh. "Today was a lot of fun," she said softly.

David nodded, wrapping an arm around her. "Yeah, it really was. Everyone seemed to have a good time."

As they lay there, the sounds of the house settling for the night—distant murmurs and the occasional rustling—created a peaceful backdrop. They exchanged a few more quiet words before closing their eyes, ready to rest for the adventures that awaited them tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in their own room, Mike and Angela had also changed out of their clothes, now relaxing in their underwear. Mike leaned back against the headboard, glancing at Angela with a grin.

"So, you looking forward to the beignets tomorrow?" he asked, his voice light with anticipation.

Angela chuckled as she adjusted her pillow. "Yeah, as long as Heimlich doesn't hog them all. You know how he gets when sweets are involved."

Mike laughed, shaking his head. "We'll have to make sure he gets his fill but leaves some for the rest of us. I'm not missing out on those."

Angela smiled, leaning over to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Good plan. Let's just hope Dim doesn't accidentally squish one in excitement."

They both shared a laugh, the playful mood helping them wind down for the night. The warmth of their connection filled the room as they settled in, ready to rest before tomorrow's adventures.

Mike reached over and turned off the lamp, plunging the room into a cozy darkness. The faint glow of moonlight streamed through the curtains as he shifted to lie beside Angela. Pulling her close, he nestled into a spoon position, his arm draped gently around her waist.

He placed a soft, tender kiss on her cheek. "Night, Ange. I love you," he whispered, his voice warm and sincere.

Angela smiled, her hand resting lightly over his. "Goodnight, Mike. Love you too," she murmured, her voice drowsy but filled with affection.

With that, the two drifted off to sleep, content and ready for the day ahead.

Meanwhile, Gypsy rested comfortably next to Manny, her hand propped behind her head as she gazed at the ceiling, a soft smile playing on her lips. The mantis's hand, warm and reassuring, rested on his wife's chest as he leaned back slightly, lost in the thought of their upcoming journey.

"Just think... Us in New Orleans..." the moth murmured, her voice filled with a mix of excitement and a quiet longing for the adventures ahead.

Manny's antennae twitched thoughtfully, his gaze turning inward as he imagined the possibilities. "Wonder how the jazz will sound and what sights we'll see... It's going to be something else, I can feel it."

Gypsy chuckled lightly, a sound that seemed to blend perfectly with the night's stillness. "I can already hear the music in my head. The brass, the rhythm, it's like the city itself is alive with the beat."

Manny nodded, squeezing her gently. "And the food... Beignets, gumbo, crawfish... we'll probably eat our weight in it. But, I gotta say, I'm most curious about the people. The energy there—it's different from anywhere else. I think we'll fit right in."

Gypsy smiled, her eyes twinkling with anticipation. "Definitely. We'll be like a part of the pulse of that place. You know, there's something magical about a city that's built on history, culture, and all that good music. I think it'll change us, in a way."

Manny turned his head to look at her, intrigued. "Change us? How do you mean?"

Gypsy's voice softened even more, thoughtful. "Well, you know... every place has its own rhythm, its own heartbeat. I think the energy there, the people, the music—it'll inspire us. Maybe we'll come back with new ideas for the troupe, or maybe just with some stories that'll last a lifetime."

Manny looked down at her with a warm smile. "Sounds like a plan. I can't wait to see where this journey takes us. And who knows? Maybe it'll be the start of something even bigger."

Gypsy smiled, a mix of hope and excitement in her gaze. "Here's to new experiences, new rhythms, and maybe a new chapter in our lives."

The two of them lay there in quiet companionship for a moment, letting the possibilities of New Orleans swirl around them, their minds already racing with the endless opportunities that awaited. They could almost hear the music now, and it filled them both with a quiet anticipation for the adventure ahead.

Gypsy let out a soft yawn, stretching slightly as her eyes fluttered closed. "Guess all this talk about New Orleans got me a little more tired than I thought," she murmured, settling deeper into the bed.

Manny chuckled, a gentle sound that vibrated through his chest. "That's what happens when you get excited about something. You think about it so much, your body decides it's time for rest."

"Mm-hmm," Gypsy agreed, snuggling closer to him. "But it's a good kind of tired. Tomorrow's going to be a big day… the beignets, the sights… all of it."

Manny smiled, his hand resting lightly on her shoulder. "Yeah, tomorrow will be full of surprises. But for now, we can sleep. We'll need the energy."

Gypsy sighed contentedly, her eyelids heavy as she drifted off. "Goodnight, Manny. Can't wait to experience all of it with you."

"Goodnight, Gypsy," Manny replied softly, his voice full of warmth. "I'm looking forward to it too."

With the quiet hum of the night surrounding them, they both fell into a peaceful sleep, the excitement of the upcoming adventure lingering in their dreams.
