"Let's get a move on," Officer Mifune snapped at us as we followed her, trailing after Majestic on patrol.

The Magic Hero's quirk granted him the ability to hover above the ground and float other objects on his tossed rings. Tokage and I, alongside Officer Mifune, could only truly trail in his wake.

"This Doctor sounds like a pretty shifty customer," said Tokage, who had sent up one of her eyes to keep a lookout for us. "Got any extra data on her since the last time?"

"A few nasty odds and ends," said Mifune. "She's left a trail of unpleasant experiments in her wake. And a possible League of Villains connection won't be pretty."

"What do you know about her League of Villains contact?" I asked, trying to recall what I had heard before of the flame user.

"Dabi. He's one of the most illusive members of the League. Nearly every other member's real name is known by now to the police and heroes. Tomura Shigaraki/ Tenko Shimura; Himiko Toga, Jin Bubagawara - careful police investigation tracked down all their aliases and quirk information, so we have plenty to go on with the rest. But Dabi's real name is still unknown. We've checked into all the photos of missing or on-the-run individuals with flame quirks, and he's picture doesn't match any of them. The destruction he leaves with his blue flames is beyond devastating. He's killed over thirty people so far that we know of."

I shuddered a little.

"Yipes. Might want to start brainstorming fireproofing plans," said Tokage.

"There are a few chemicals and materials that could serve that purpose," I replied, thinking through all the flame retardant chemicals I knew.

"Here, come on!" Called Majestic as we snapped to attention. "Looks like we've got some work to do!"

We hurried to join him, but it wasn't, from the looks of it, the Doctor. Instead, we had stumbled upon what appeared to be a car crash.

Majestic was removing the passengers from the smoking cars using his rings; Tokage split apart to investigate, and I quickly created a massive fire extinguisher. A convenient timing!

When we had finished, Majestic gave us both a pat on the back.

"Quick thinking, ladies! I appreciate the hard work. This is your first work study, I believe, Lizardy? Nicely done!"

"Ah, thanks."

"Even with an investigation in hand, it is never out of place for a hero to stop and save innocents. Remember that, my pupils! Never let the glory of supervillain fights interferer with what truly matters."

"Yes, sir!"

We had a long series of urgent problems to take care of following that incident - muggins, accidents, another fire…It was truly a time-consuming day. We had to save a store from a theft, perform CPR, and I had to create quite a few task masks.

"Good work out there today, Creaty, Lizardy!" Majestic told us, as we seemed at last to have put out every fire - literally, and metaphorically - in the area. "You've done admirably!"

"But we've hardly gotten started on the investigation," grumbled Officer Mifune.

"We have a little time left. We'll find out what we can today, and continue tomorrow." He smiled at Tokage and me.

"What can we do to help?" She asked.

"Well, we have tips to check out a specific area from an inside source. Lizardy, you can probably help us out in the stealth department. Creaty, we could use you as backup in case any physical conflict breaks out."

We found ourselves soon staking out the building set Mifune had identified as a possible hideout. Tokage was listening with her ear and spying with her right eye, while we talked in the front seat.

"Tell me, Creaty - what are you hoping to learn at your work study?"

"Sir? What do you mean? "

"What are your goals for this upcoming week? And what are you working on in general?"

I gave it some thought. "During our last training exercise, I was put into a position of leadership. And I was pitted against someone who viewed me as an equal - a rival. But I completely failed to rise to her challenge. She defeated me and my entire team, and it was because I could not communicate quickly enough or defend myself adequately. She took me out of the battle far too soon. If I am in a situation like that on the front lines, the cost would be lives, and I want to ensure such a thing never occurs. In short, I want to determine how to communicate smoothly with a team, and how to defend myself on the battlefield - so I can become a hero everyone can rely on. I want to grow competent enough that others can rely on me!"

Majestic smiled at me.

"An admirable goal. I can see that potential in you, Creaty. There's the makings of a fine hero leader there - but first, you must learn to project that leadership. I think -"

"Hang on," interrupted Tokage. "I hear something."
