Kagome found herself in a candlelit ballroom. Looking down she found herself in a ballgown wedding dress. It was a white and elegant dress. Suddenly there was blood on it. Then she saw a pool of blood on the floor. Looking back up, Kagome nearly screamed as she saw bodies and bodies of all her loved ones. Her friends and families were all gutted and hacked to pieces. A dark shadow loomed over her and the sound of hooves were heard from behind her. Turning around she saw a dark figure across the room. When it came closer, it turned out to be the creature that she had dreamt about a few times. The moment it stood close to her she tried to hit it. She knew it killed them. Before she could strike it, the creature caught her wrist and brought her closer to it. It leaned closer and it purred as it inhaled her scent. The creature twirled her around and made her look at the bodies. It was as if it was telling her that he did this all for her. The moment its lips kissed her forehead the priestess woke up. Bear, who was sleeping next to her, whined and nudged his nose to her arm. He could sense that she was worried. Kagome sighed and turned to her side and wrapped an arm around him, snuggling close to him.

"I'm okay, Bear." She whispered

Bear licked her cheek before laying his head down in the pillows. His warmth and comfort was enough to lull her back to sleep.

When morning came, Kagome got herself ready for the day. Ever since the eye incident Carl and Roger had her and Bear stay with them. Actually…force is more like. While Jack and Will came for the box Carl and Roger were packing up her bags. She tried to stop them but Carl wasn't having it as he grabbed one of her bags and picked her, tossing her over his shoulder.

"Carl, what are you doing, put me down." Kagome glared

"Not a chance, sweetie." Carl said before turning to Will and Jack. "Till you guys find this bastard, we'll be hiding her." Carl said

Will and Jack were at a loss at what to say and do as they watched Carl walk away with Kagome over his shoulder. Even Jill and Richard were stunned at his action. Roger just apologized as followed after them with Bear and the rest of the bags. That was the most embarrassing day of her life but she forgave them. She understood that they were worried about her but staying with them made her worried about their safety. She believed that's why she had that dream.

Their house was an hour away but it was huge and was near the wooden area. The house had two stories but had about six rooms, four bathrooms, a garage for Carls' collection of cars and had a large backyard that had a pool and tennis court. They had the state of the art security computer system. There were cameras almost everywhere and two guard dogs. It was the most secure place she knew. She believed it was better than being sent off to one of Carls' vacation homes. And he threatened that would, even if she was kicking and screaming. After what has happened Kagome wouldn't put it past him.

They have given her the second biggest room in the house. It has an attached bathroom that has a walk-in shower and a tub. The shower was a bit hard to control the first time as it was one of those high tech showers. But she still loved it. After getting ready for her and Bears' walk they headed downstairs and were greeted by Carls' and Rogers' three fur babies. Gatsby and Stella are Rogers' two brown Dobermans. They are the guard dogs of the house. Then there is Gigi, she is Carl's prize winning show dog, a French Poodle. When they came downstairs she was greeted by all three dogs. She is a bit spoiled with her food choices but she still acted like a dog.

She called for Carl and Roger but no one was around. Gigi headed to the living room and picked up a piece of paper in her mouth before giving it to her. This was one of the tricks Carls' trainer had taught her. It was still weird for Kagome to see that. She looked at the paper and it said that Carl and Roger had already headed out to work but Roger left her breakfast in the oven. He was the cook in their relationship and he was pretty good. Today he made an omelet with spinach, goat cheese and steak with hashbrown and fruit on the side. When she was done she took Bear out so they could do their walk. Not wanting to leave them out she took the other dogs with them. When they came back Gatsby and Stella stopped for a bit and their ears perked up as they saw someone in the driveway. When the person came out of the car they started barking and running after the guy.

"Gatsby! Stella! No! Stay!" Kagome called out and ran after them once she saw that it was Will.

Will saw the Dobermen but he stood still and stayed calmed. He knew how to handle dogs like them. When they got near they stopped only a few feet from him but continued barking. They finally stopped when Kagome got near and told a command in German. It was something Roger has been training them with.

"Sorry about them, they've been trained to scare off intruders. And attack by command if the situation calls for it." Kagome said

"It's alright. I just wanted to see how you were doing." Will said

"Thank you. Would you like to come inside?" Kagome asked, "I was about to make some hot chocolate."

He nodded and they all headed inside. They headed to the kitchen where she poured the milk in a pot. The dogs headed to their area to drink up their water bowls.

"How did you find the place?" She asked

"Richard told me." He said "How is it living here?"

"It's nice for a vacation but I miss my apartment. Their house is too…high tech for me." She sighed "Truthfully, if I was gonna have a house I would like yours. Just an old fashioned farmhouse or a cottage, surrounded by nature. Peace and quiet."

"That's why I bought my house." Will smiled

When she saw the steam from the pot of milk Kagome turned off the stove and started pouring the milk in two mugs. Then she put the hot cocoa in the mugs and started stirring them.

"They really care for you it seems." He said as he told one of the mugs.

"Carl always says I'm like the sister he always wanted." She smiled, "So he's very protective of me."

Will nodded and took a few sips from his mug.

"So…Jimmy and Zeller tried everything they could to get DNA from the eyes...but no luck." Will said

"I think I know who they might be…but…I'm hoping that I am wrong." Kagome said

"Who do you think it is?" Will asked

"One of the doctors was reported missing yesterday by his wife. Dr. Elliet Tanner. He's an adulterer and a creep. He hit on many of the nurses in his department. And many times he's tried to make me go out with him. He even tried again at the Charity event. From what I've heard, that's when he went missing." She said "He fits the Ripper's M.O for me."

Will agreed and his jaw clenched a little. After hearing that it wasn't hard for him to believe that the eye belonged to this doctor. The Ripper will kill those that disrespected or hurt Kagome. In the mind of the Ripper he took the doctors' eyes because they wondered on what didn't belong to him. Will would only admit to himself that this kill he didn't mind. The doctor sounded like a pervert.

"I'll tell Jack about it." He said

He was gonna take another sip of his drink but saw the worry look on the priestess face.

"Kagome…What's wrong?" He asked

"Richard and Carl are worried for my safety. And I have to admit that I am too but…I'm more worried for them." She said "Would he…would the Ripper hurt them…or me?"

Will understood her concern. Kagome was the type to worry about other people's safety before herself. He didn't know if he should tell her the truth. If the Chesapeake Ripper saw her friends as an obstacle he would kill them to get to her. As to killing her…he didn't think so. If she rejects him there is a possibility that he might kill her or just lock her up until she gives him what he wants.

What did the Ripper want from her?

Will's been racking his brain a lot about this for a long time. He knew the killer felt protective towards her and definitely affectionate. But why?

Will looked back at Kagome before looking down at his mug.

'Okay that was a stupid question.' Will thought

Not only was Kagome beautiful but the woman was selfless and kind to everyone she met. He could always be himself around her and she wouldn't pity him or be creeped out like others would. The priestess would never be fake with him. She accepts him for who he is and that's what he likes about her.

'Maybe that's why. The Ripper could be hoping that she accepts him for who he is…for what he is.' Will thought

"Yes and no." He said, deciding to be truthful and stood next to her. "If he believes that they're in his way, he will kill them. With you, I don't believe he would."

"What should I do if I do meet him?" She asked

"If it ever comes to it…for your safety on how to survive its best to play along with his delusions" He said and took her hand into his. "But I won't let that happen. I promised you, remember? We'll find him before that ever happens."

Kagome smiled and squeezed his hand.

"Thank you." She said

Their moment was ruined when his cells started to ring. It looks like he has another case with Jack.

"I'm sorry…it's Jack." Will sighed

"Any news?" She asked

"It doesn't look like it. I think it's another case." Will said "I'll let you know if we find anything. Thanks for the drink."

He drank the rest of hot chocolate before handing the mug to her. She placed it in the sink before walking him to the front door.

"And again thank you for checking on me. I really appreciate it. We should make arrangements to hang out sometime." She smiled, "I enjoy our time together."

'I swear her smile is contagious.' He thought and smiled back.

He would have blushed but Bear jumped on him. Will didn't see this coming and ended up falling to the ground.

"Bear." Kagome laughed

The big fluff started licking his cheek.

"Missed you too, Bear." Will muttered.

"Okay you big teddy bear get off before you crush him." She smiled

She managed to pull Bear off him by his collar.

"I think he likes you now." She said

"Good to know." He chuckled

The next day Roger saw that Kagome still needed some cheering up so he decided to take her and Jill out to have a spa day. It was something that they all needed. Carl would have joined but he had a business meeting in London. The first thing they did was a Swedish massage and next was a body wrap massage. After that they did some facial massages while trying something new known as a fish spa for their feet. When that was over Kagome and Jill got manicures and pedicures while Roger went for the steam room.

"What did you think of that fish spa?" Jill asked

"Unusual. And kind of ticklish." Kagome said "But I have to admit my feet never felt so smooth before."

Jill nodded and turned to take a sip of her tea that the staff offered.

"So what's next on the agenda?" She asked

"Well, we have to stop at this wedding boutique to get my Groom-woman dress." Kagome said "They finally have it in my size. Have you got your dress yet?"

"Are you kidding, I got it months ago. Along with a brand new swimsuit. It was Richard I was worried about. I had to drag Richard to Mens' Wearhouse last week to finally get a new suit for the wedding. He actually wanted to wear that old sports coat of his." Jill smirked

"The plaid one?" Kagome asked, "I thought you got rid of that one."

"I did. He found the same one in a garage sale." Jill said

Kagome laughed.

"How did you stop him from using that one?" She asked

"I told him that he wouldn't be getting lucky at the wedding." Jill said before taking another sip of her tea. "I can't wait for Jamaica. It was sweet of Carl and Roger to book that B place for us all to stay. Richard and I wouldn't have been able to afford that."

"They don't mind. Carl was able to get a great deal." Kagome said

Kagome stopped to look to see how her nails were turning out.

"So…are you gonna take Hannibal as your plus one?" Jill asked

This shocked Kagome.

"Jill…we only went on one date." Kagome blushed

"Yeah, but the wedding is in a couple of weeks and it's a friends' wedding, not a family wedding. No ones gonna ask how long you guys have been dating." Jill said "And who knows, you two might get some Jamaican loven while there."

Kagome said nothing but just blush. Since the incident he has been calling her as he was worried for her. She had to admit that she was touched as she knew it was genuine. For a man that had a dark soul she could tell that he had a soft spot for her. He kind of reminded her of Sesshomaru if she was honest. A part of her wasn't sure how to feel about that.

Kagome returned to work the next day and everything was the same. Today was movie day for the children. All the children on her floor were gathered in a room and started watching Peter Pan. Kagome sat down with them to make sure all the children were okay and well. Most piled around Bear and some sat with Kagome and two other nurses. When Peter brought Wendy, John and Michael to Neverland another nurse came in and told her that she had a call. She whispered to the children that she'll be right back and headed to her office. On the phone was Jack. He wanted her to come by Quantico. Something about her looking at a body that they found. It was the fifth male body that all had the same animal bite marks. Thinking that this could be something in her field she agreed to stop by. After work she stopped by and was greeted by Hannibal.

"Kagome. Lovely to see you again." Hannibal smiled, he took her hand and kissed her cheek. "What brings you here?"

"Jack called, he said he wanted me to look at a body." Kagome said

This caught him by surprise and was a little worried. Just three days ago Jack informed Will, Alana and him that they found Nicklas Boyles' dead body. Abigail did something completely stupid by unburying Boyles', letting the FBI to question everything. It made his blood boil that he had to threaten Abigail to fix her mistake. Luckily she had passed Jacks' test but now this. The Boyle boy's body was still in the morgues' freezer. With Kagomes' ability Hannibal wasn't sure if his spirit was still around. Hannibal didn't want to get her involved for that reason but also because it would take her time away from him. He has been planning to ask her out again but now this case is gonna take all her focus.

"May I ask, whom it is?" He asked

"Well it's five bodies. He said a case came his way and believed it was my kind of case." Kagome said

Hearing this made him relax but still offered his help so he could make sure Jack doesn't trick her into looking at Boyles' body. When they got to Jacks' office he showed her the files of the five male victims. They were all around their twenties, attracted, and all were single men except for victim two. He was at his bachelor party when he went missing. It was believed that they were attacked by animals but they found something in the latest victim that told Jack otherwise. Jack showed her the evidence and it was black claw nail. It was about five inches.

"This was inside the victim?" Kagome asked as she took a look at it.

"Right inside the man's chest." Jack said

"Ouch." Kagome winced

"So do you think this is your kind of case?" Jack asked

Kagome took a look at the bodies and the files. In the files two went missing from a bar, one from a club, two from two different strip clubs. There was another thing that caught her attention. One of the victims had a drug in his system that would prepare himself for sex. She had a few ideas of what it could have killed them. But she's gonna need to call her contacts to see if her gut feeling was right.

"Yes. I believe it is." She said

Jack let her take the files and started doing her thing. When she does this Hannibal knows she will do her multitask again. Remembering what happened last time he was worried for her health so he will come by her work to make sure she was eating. When he tried calling her for dinner she wouldn't answer so he stopped by Carls' house. He always knew where she was but Carl and Roger told him as they knew he cared for their friend. They were out so she was alone. When she answered the door she was surprised to see him.

"Hannibal?" She said "What are you doing here? Actually…how did you know that I'm staying here?"

"Don't be mad at them but Carl and Roger told me. I hope you don't mind. I tried calling you but weren't answering." He said

"I'm sorry, Hannibal, I've been very busy." She said

Then she noticed that he was carrying his cooler and another bag.

"Are you planning on making me dinner?" She asked

"I hope you don't mind. And that you have eaten yet." He said

"Thank you. I was actually gonna order something." She said "But I wouldn't mind a home cooked meal."

She let him inside and showed him to the kitchen. The dogs came to see who the new visitor was for a moment going back to laying around. Bear was the only one that stayed.

"So what's for dinner tonight?" She asked

"Stuffed Lamb Heart, braised with White wine. Over couscous and wilted spinach." He said

"I don't think I've ever tried Lamb Heart before." She said with a questionable look.

"Trust me, it's a delicacy. I assure you." He smiled

"You're the expert cook. I'll take your word for it." She said

She needed to get some things done before helping him. So she headed upstairs to finish her work and dressed up a bit. Hannibal took note of where everything was so he could set things up but also take note of the house. While she showed him inside he took note of the house. He saw the cameras set in the living room and one of the hallways of the kitchen. Carl and Roger have hosted parties at their house at times so he has seen certain areas. If his priestess is gonna stay here he's gonna need to find a way to steal her from here when the time comes.

Once Kagome finished her work she changed into a silk long sleeve blouse and did some touch up with her hair and makeup. When she headed downstairs she could already smell the delicious food in the oven. She headed to the kitchen and saw that everything was ready. He had set the dining room table, which was elegant as always. When everything was ready he had her sit down and placed their dishes down.

"If I didn't know any better, Hannibal. This dinner looks like another date." She said as she sat down.

"Can you blame me?" He smirked, "After our first date I've been looking forward to another one."

"Hannibal…you know what this guy is like when someone shows interest in me." She said "Aren't you worried about the Ripper?"

"I never let fear contain my life. Neither of us should." He said

"Well, aren't you bold?" She teased

"When I first met you I was curious about you. You interested me. And now it has become more." He said "I've come to have feelings for you. I hope you'll be able to give me a chance."

A man named Joey Carter came stumbling out of a bar that was close to his fraternity. He stayed to watch a game and had a few drinks after it was over. While he walked he kept looking up as he kept hearing flapping above him. He cut down to an alley and stopped when he saw a young woman leaning against the building.

"Hey there, cutie." She smiled

"Uh…hi." Joey said

He checked her body out and his lower head bulged from his pants.

"Do you want to have some fun?" She asked

Unable to say anything he just nodded. She took his hand and lured him to a dark area of alley. When they turned to a blind alley she pushed him against the wall and started kissing him. The kiss got heated and they started grinding their hips against one another. While he tried to unzip his pants he let out yelp as she bit his lip hard.

"Hey, what the fuck!" He shouted

He pushed her off him and touched his lip. On his hand there was a lot of blood.

"You bitch." He spat

He went to leave but she pushed back to the wall.

"What the fuck!" He glared

"You can't go. I haven't eaten anything yet." She smirked, showing off her sharp teeth. "I am very…very…hungry."

His eyes widened as her eyes turned red and she jumped on him. No one heard his screams. Or the sound of his flesh being ripped and eaten.
