This was supposed to stay a oneshot for awhile but I got inspired, this will stay a twoshot for now. I still want to finish one of my three ongoing stories before starting another one.

Izumi walked quickly to her closet to put on her uniform. However, she suddenly remembered the tutorial she had read earlier. It mentioned that her inventory had slots that could be used to store clothes and switch between them. She could also store all her clothes in her inventory and mix and match them to create new outfits whenever she wanted.

She stood in front of her closet, biting her lip in contemplation. Finally, she reached out and tapped on one of her shirts, silently willing it to disappear and appear in her inventory. Her eyes lit up with excitement when the shirt vanished.

Next, she opened her inventory and saw that the shirt had indeed been added to her collection. She quickly sorted the rest of her clothes into the inventory as well. With her clothes put away, she used the clothing slots to create a cute outfit for after school, while using another slot for her school uniform.

As she was organizing her inventory, Izumi wondered what would happen if she used the Particle effects option. She turned it on and tested it with a pencil. The pencil vanished in a flash of green sparkles and then reappeared when she brought it back out.

Izumi realized that she could use this feature to pretend that her quirk was like hammerspace. She could tell people that her quirk didn't manifest until she went through a traumatic experience, which was why she hadn't shown any signs of having a quirk before. She knew that people would believe her, especially since she had just lost her mother.

Although she hated to use her mother's death in this way, Izumi felt that it was necessary. She wasn't lying about what had happened; she was just leaving out the fact that she had met All Might and had come to believe that some heroes deserved to die, including the number one hero.

Izumi's face creased with worry as she suddenly realized that her quirks screens could potentially ruin her plan. If these screens appeared in front of someone, they would immediately know that she was lying about her quirk. Just as she was pondering over this problem, a screen popped up in front of her.

Tip: Unless you want someone to see them, no one but the player can see the game screens.

Izumi raised an eyebrow. "Well, that solved that problem," she thought to herself. Shaking her head, she used the new clothing slots to switch into her school uniform.

With a flash of green particles, her uniform appeared on her body. She put some food, her bag, notebooks, and pencils in her inventory for lunch before leaving her apartment. She planned to pack the rest of her things after school; she didn't want to be late.

Izumi was aware that she was avoiding the real problem. She has been putting off grieving for her deceased mother. Although she cried herself to sleep before getting her quirk, she knew that a quick cry was not enough to express the pain and sadness she felt. However, Izumi had no time to grieve at the moment. She would allow herself to break down later. For now, she needed to get through the day and plan what she was going to do next.

A few minutes later, she left her apartment building in a hurry. As soon as she stepped out, she was ready to sprint, but then she remembered her skillset. She had not unlocked running yet, and her jogging was only at level one. If she was going to take revenge on those heroes who left her mother to die, then she needed to get stronger.

+1 Wis for coming to a logical conclusion

Izumi chuckled a bit, realizing that she could improve her wisdom by not being foolish. She shook her head and then made up her mind to jog to school. This way, she could work on her jogging skills and get in shape at the same time.

As she was about to begin jogging, another screen popped up and she let out a sigh. She wondered what it could be this time.

Quest Alert: Jogging Mania - Get to school on time.

Quest: Jog to school.

Goals: Successfully arrive at school on time while jogging the entire way.

Rewards: 20XP, two levels up in jogging, 3757 Yen, and an additional mystery reward.

Failure: Arrive at school late and miss out on the rewards.

YES / NO

Izumi looked at the quest and then hit "yes". If she arrived at school on time, she would receive a reward. If she didn't, she wouldn't lose anything.

Izumi stretched and began jogging to school. Fortunately, her school was not far away, and she did not have to worry about being late for class.

She arrived at school and went straight to her class. She noticed people staring at her, but she tried to ignore it. She had a feeling that they knew about her mother's death yesterday.

She sat down at her desk and looked at it, wondering why she hadn't received a notification that she had completed her quest yet. As others came in, she tried not to think about it. She was taken aback when Ka-Bakugou walked past her without his usual snarl and daily insults.

She turned around when she felt a gentle tap on her shoulder as if the person was afraid of hurting her. It was Tokiwayuki Okawa, a girl with orange chin-length hair, light skin, and brown eyes. Her quirk was Pyrockinetic-Body, which allowed her to turn any part of her body into fire. Izumi thought it was one of the coolest and most useful quirks in class.

Izumi looked at Tokiwayuki blankly, wondering what the other girl wanted.

"I noticed you didn't bring your bag with you, so I was wondering if you needed a pencil and some paper?" Tokiwayuki spoke in a soft and awkward voice.

Izumi was taken aback by the sudden change in how her classmates treated her. Although she had expected them to find out about what had happened to her, she didn't anticipate them to be nicer to her. Izumi couldn't help but feel bitter about it. She wondered why her classmates had to treat her with kindness only after her mother had passed away.

A memory of Tokiwayuki came back to her. She was a classmate who had used her quirk with Bakugou to cause burns on Izumi's back. The burns were in a spot Izumi couldn't reach, making it hard for her to move without feeling pain. She had to either endure the pain or ask her mom for help.

Izumi had chosen to bear the pain on her own, rather than bother her mother.

"I have some," she muttered as she stared at the other girl, leaving Tokiwayuki confused. "But you don't have your bag with you?" she asked.

Izumi saw this as an opportunity to reveal her quirk, "Actually, I'm not Quirkless. I just needed to figure out what activated it," she said in a monotone voice.

Everyone turned to look at her, showing their surprise as Tokiwayuki spoke again, her voice trembling as she realized that she may have tortured Izumi for no reason. "What's your quirk and what caused it to activate?" she asked.

Izumi turned to the orange-haired girl and began to glare at her. "My quirk appears to be some sort of hammer space," she said. As she spoke, she pulled out a notebook and pencil from thin air, both of them appearing in her hands in a flash of green glitter. "I'm not sure how much I can store yet, but I plan to use my quirk to keep all my school supplies safe from now on. That way, I won't have to keep replacing things that get lost or damaged."

"Izumi couldn't help but relish the expression of shock and anger on Bakugou's face as she spoke on in a cold voice, "Moreover, the trigger for activating my quirk is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone. It happened while I was watching my mother's death on TV, and the heroes who could have saved her did nothing. No one deserves to go through that, do they?"

Izumi realized that everyone around her had frozen and turned pale upon learning that she had been watching a live broadcast of her mother's death. She could see the horror and sadness in the faces of many of her classmates as they realized that it was Izumi's own fear and sadness, brought on by the loss of her mother, that had caused her quirk to finally manifest.

As her teacher walked in, she noticed that he stopped in slight surprise upon seeing her sitting there. She tensed up when he started walking over but was baffled when he spoke, "Midoriya, you don't need to force yourself to be here today. Head on home and rest."

Izumi was shocked when he offered her kindness. He had never cared about her before, so why now? She wasn't sure why he was doing this for her, especially since he wasn't here to hear about her new quirk. Izumi swallowed before nodding, suddenly feeling her eyes well up with tears. She stood up and left the room. As she walked out of the school building, a screen popped up.

QUEST COMPLETED

Quest: Jog to school.

Goals: Successfully arrive at school on time while jogging the entire way.

Rewards: 20XP, two levels up in jogging, 3757 Yen, and a day off.

Izumi was surprised to learn she could shoot mana at people. She quickly turned off the particle effects before accepting the rewards. She received a notification that her jogging skill had been leveled up.

Jogging (Active) Level 3

By Jogging, you increase your Dex over time. If the player gets their Jogging level high enough then you unlock the "Running" skill.

+1 to Dex

Izumi smiled a little before heading home. Thanks to the quest, she had managed to level up her jogging by two levels and gained a point for her Dex as well by jogging to school. She also received almost four thousand yen as a reward.

Deciding to jog back home, she realized that she was close to leveling up jogging on her own, and it happened not long after she started jogging back.

Izumi arrived home in no time and, as she walked in, she half-expected to see her mom. However, she felt disappointed when she remembered that her mother was no longer there.

Izumi was going around her apartment, taking a final glance at everything before she began putting them in her inventory. She decided to leave her mom's room for last since she wasn't sure if she could go in there alone. Her mom was the last person to enter that room, and it felt like if Izumi stepped inside, she would be desecrating sacred ground. However, Izumi knew that she had to go in there to take her birth certificate and other important paperwork if she wanted to have a future. Additionally, she didn't want to leave behind any of her mom's belongings.

She took a deep breath before opening the door with a shaky hand and stepping inside. Tears filled her eyes as she looked around the room. Everything was just the way her mom had left it.

She hesitated before further exploring the room. She took her time cataloging all the items she found. Eventually, she stumbled upon her mom's secret emergency funds. There was a lot of yen there, but she hadn't bothered to count it before adding it to her wallet.

Curious about her current financial status, she pulled up her account balance to check how much money she had.

MONEY: 769,635.95 Yen (5,125 US)

Izumi was relieved to see the amount of money she had. At least now she could afford to buy food, but who knew what the future held? She planned to start job hunting tomorrow, but for now, she decided to take a walk. To be on the safe side, she turned particle effects on in case she needed them while she was out. She wasn't sure why she would need them, but if any of her classmates wanted to see her new "hammer-space" quirk, she would need to have the effects on.
