Meeting a Rival
Afternoon,
Kai and Herissmon return from their mission and reported their success.
"Wow, look at this cash," Kai said."
"I know, we're doing great," Herissmon said."
"Hey guys, I heard you did well," Crystal said."
Standing next to her was a cat Digimon, she was brown and black on top and white on bottom and wearing black gloves.
"Is that your Digimon?" Kai asked."
"Yup, this is Mikemon," Crystal replied."
"Wow," Kai said." Just think, we keep going and we'll be top tamers."
"How sad to dream like that," a voice said."
They turn around an sees a boy looking like Koh except he had blue hair, wearing goggles, a purple shirt, a black jacket with blue shoulder lines, a purple wrist band, black shorts, and black shoes with blue and grey marks. next to him is a black Agumon.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Kai asked a little upset."
"Simple, you actually believe that you'll be a top tamer," the boy replied." Because that title is already reserved to me."
"Oh yeah?" Kai asked."
"Yup," the boy replied." Welp, see you loser."
The boy and his black Agumon leave.
"Who was that jerk?" Crystal asked."
"That's Shade and he's part of Night Crow," Sayo replied as she and Lunamon walk up to them."
"You met him?" Kai asked."
"Yeah, he's not arrogant but he's skilled, I saw him on a mission, and he finished in under 5 minutes," Sayo replied."
"Whoa," Crystal said."
(Scoffs) "Whatever, we can beat him," Kai said."
"Yeah," Herissmon said."
"Well for now let's head to lunch," Sayo said."
Cafateria.
Kai, Crystal, and Sayo got their lunches from the Hamburgermon, Sayo went to her sides table as Kai and Crystal went to theirs. they meet up with Koh and Dawn.
"Hey guys meet the rest of Light Fang," Dawn said."
"Hi, I'm Gideon," Gideon said."
"Litton," Litton said."
"Gaoh," Gaoh said."
"Lyla," Lyla said."
"Tonpei," Tonpei said."
"Cheetah," Cheetah said."
"Komachi," Komachi said."
"Pulsa," Pulsa said."
"Kenpa," Kenpa said."
"Nick," Nick said."
"Fernado," Fernado said."
"Mary Ann," Mary Ann said."

"Nice to meet you all," Kai and Crystal said as they sit down."
"So, how are you guys getting used to things here?" Kai asked."
"It took a while to get used to things, but you'll love it," Litton said."
"I understand. welp I'm getting seconds," Kai said."
He gets up to get seconds until he bumped into a beautiful girl.
"I'm sorry," Kai said." (blushes) 'wow she's cute.'
He offers his hand and helps her up.
"Thank you, my name is Kakumi," Kakumi said."
"Hey! learn to watch where you're going next time," Shade said."
"I already apologized you moron," Kai said."
"Maybe you should get your eyes checked," Shade said."
Members of night crow snickers at Kai.
"Ok wise guy! let's settle this!" Kai said."
Everyone looked surprised.
"You really wanted to face me?" Shade asked."
"Yeah," Kai replied."
"Very well, after class we'll have are battle," Shade said as he left."
Kai walks back to the others.
"Are you nuts?!" Nick asked."
"No, I'm not," Kai replied." that show off needs a lesson."
After Lunch, Kai goes through his math class while thinking about facing Shade.
"Man, math was brutal," Pulsa said."
"I agree," Tonpei said." Right Kai?"
Kai was about to answer until a Kakumi called out."
"Hi there," Kakumi said walking up to him." I'm sorry about what happened at the cafeteria."
(Blushes) "It's not your fault at all miss Kakumi," Kai said."
"Well then, good luck," Kakumi said."
She winks at him and leaves. Kai waves as Crystal looked annoyed.
"Come on Kai, we got to get to our next class," Crystal said pulling Kai's shirt while sounding jealous."
"Hey, take it easy Crystal you're stretching my shirt," Kai said." (thinking) 'And I was about to ask for her number.'
Mikemon looked at her suspiciously.
'Does she have a crush on Kai?' mikemon thought.'
She probably likes him," Herissmon said."
In their next class, which was gym. after changing into their gym clothes, they meet the teacher being Leomon.
"Greetings students, I am Leomon, and I'll be your gym teacher," Leomon said."
'Talk about buff, Kenpa thought.'
'I'm more buffer than him,' Pulsa thought.'
"Alright, we'll start by doing laps," Leomon said." Ok, let's begin."
The students and their Digimon start running laps for about an hour. Kai and Shade are running side by side with their Digimon, they glare at each other and run faster trying to outrun each other.
"We win!" they both said giving an anime-tired look and breathing." (Looks at each other) "What?! we won not you!"
"There's no way little legs could keep up," Black Agumon said."
"Take that back!" Herissmon said."
The four growl at each other ready to fight with sparks hit each other. that's when Leomon pulled them apart.
"That's enough! the four of you cool off!" Leomon said."
The four sat on the benches away from each other.
"They're a real handful," Sayo said."
"Yup," a voice said."
The voice reveals to be a boy named Newton, along with the other members on Night claw being Dorothy, Raigo, Spike, Sukekiyo, Ponch, Gutts, Barone, Braun, Robert, Suzie, Tiger, Miss Achillies, and Mister Lin. along with Kakumi.
"I say they'll make good friends and rivals," Spike said." If they don't kill each other.
The others nod in agreement. Later after school, Kai was getting ready for his fight with Shade.
"Ready pal?" Kai asked."
"Yup," Herissmon replied."
They make their way to the stadium as the others watch.
"Let's do this!" Kai and Shade said."
Herissmon and Black Agumon enter the stadium.
"Pepper breath!" Black Agumon said."
He fires a fire ball at him.
Herissmon dodged it.
"Needle point dive!" Herissmon shouted."
He curls into a ball and charges at Black Agumon.
"Spit fire blast!" Black Agumon yelled."
He fires a bigger fire ball at Herissmon engulfing him in flames.
"Talk about weak," Shade said." This fight is already over."
Suddenly Herissmon glows.
"Herissmon digivole to... Filmon," Filmon said."
"What?!" Shade said." he can digivole?!"
"Yup," Kai replied."
Everyone looked surprised.
"Wow," Pulsa said."
"Crimson Slash!" Filmon said."
He uses his claws to slash Black Agumon defeating it.
"Yeah!" Kai said as he and Filmon fist bump."
Shade helps his partner up.
"You just got Lucky, we'll win at the tournament," Shade said."
"I look forward to it,' Kai said."
Shade and the others leave.
"Hey Kai, good luck this semester," Kakumi said winking at him making him blush."
"Thanks," Kai said looking love struck."
(Pulling on his shirt) "Let's go Kai it's for dinner," Crystal said annoyed."
"Yeah, we're having spaghetti today," Cheetah said."
The group head to the mess hall to have dinner before heading to bed.
