Hey everyone I'm back, sorry updates might be a bit slower than in the past, my D key has finally given up on me. I'm currently using an external keyboard but I have to come out to the kitchen whenever I want to use it to write. Normally I would write on my bed with my laptop on my lap but I can't do that at the moment. If I put the keyboard ontop of my laptop it presses down on the keys on the laptop messing things up.

But I won't let this stop me, I'll write when I can.

Anyways onto reviews.

SmilingAnne chapter 42 . Jan 29

Wait a minute... Aren't Snape Karkaroff and "Moody" dead?! How can Snape try to waylay Adrien then? Am I missing something?

Ok, now you've made me very curious! How is the Joker at Arkham Asylum not knowing about James and Lily's Death but also in Gringotts with Adriene and Sirius who just explained it! Is he messing with Bruce? Is it a decoy? But you wrote it was Jack.. so... Hmmm...? I can't wait to find out!

Me: I figured I would answer both of your reviews at once, firstly Snape came back at a ghost, that's how he can try to corner her. Now secondly, the bit at the end of last chapter with Batman and the Joker, that was an omake, that's not cannon to the actual story i just felt like people would enjoy it.

Guest chapter 2 . Feb 22

Mais um lixo de conto, pensamos que é um conto decente aí vem uma coisa sem pé nem cabeça, simplesmente horrível.

(English: Another rubbish story, we think it's a decent story, and then something comes along that doesn't make any sense, it's simply horrible.

)

Me: Lamento que você pense assim, se você não gosta da minha história, obviamente é bem-vindo para parar de lê-la. Mas você também não precisa jogar lixo nele.

(English: I'm sorry you think like this, if you do not enjoy my story then you are obviously welcome to stop reading it. But you do not need to trash on it either.)

On that note, let us move on with this "Rubbish" story, shall we? :D

Jason stared up at the three-story mansion that his sources said Bruce's cousin was living in, he was here to figure out why the fuck she had taken the Joker, he had already put it off long enough. He was thankful for his training as he climbed the fence but was confused when he felt a tingle when he got to the other side, it was like something was judging his intentions and would keep doing so until he left.

Keeping his face blank he walked up to the front doors, honestly, this place wasn't that bad. It looked nice for a mansion in gothem, he didn't think he had ever seen that many differently colored roses in one spot before, not even when he went to the gardens in gothem.

Before he could knock the door was opened by a young girl, she looked to be around six to five years younger than him, so she was probably either fifteen or fourteen. She had long black hair held back by a messy ponytail, a few pieces had escaped confinement and framed her face.

Her green emerald eyes looked like they were glowing faintly, he figured it was either the lighting or her magic that was making her eyes glow.

"Hello, can I help you?" The girl, Adriane, asked suspiciously. Jason didn't blame her for being suspicious, this was gothem and he was some strange guy standing on her front steps like a creep. He had bypassed her front gates, he was trespassing so he knew that she had every right to be suspicious of him.

"I'm Jason Todd and I have a few questions for you, may I come in?" Jason spoke, eyes narrowing at the girl, family or not this girl had helped the Joker escape the police.

Instead of moving to let him inside, Adriane stepped out of her house and closed the door behind him, she crossed her arms as she leaned back against it.

"You can ask them out here," She replied, watching him for any sudden moves.

Jason held back a growl, "Listen here-" He was cut off when Adriane spoke over him, "No you listen, I don't know you, I have no idea who the fuck you are besides some creep who jumped over my fence, why the fuck would I let you in my home?"

Jason winced, okay maybe she was being smart about not letting him in. She didn't realize that he was her adoptive cousin, it was smart of her to not just assume that he was Jason Todd adoptive son of Bruce Wayne.

"I'm your cousin. Jason, you sent us Christmas gifts speaking of our family had a few questions about them." Jason hoped that mentioning the gifts would make Adriane relax a bit, instead, all she did was stare suspiciously.

"If you are Jason Todd then tell me what I got for everyone," Adriane spat, sure he could be telling the truth but he could also be lying. She wasn't going to take the chance that he was an imposter.

Jason sighed before speaking, "You got me a leather bracelet, Dick received a necklace, Tim got a ring, Damien got two sets of earrings, Bruce got an anklet and Alfried got a ring with lilies on it."

Adriane relaced her stance just a bit, "Alright I'll believe you, what did you need to ask me about?"

Jason was a bit relieved that she believed him, there was a reason he hadn't come here as Red Hood.

"Listen, why did you take the Joker?" His voice turned angry, he couldn't help it. Anything concerning the Joker made him furious, he liked to think he had a right to be angry though, the Joker had murdered him.

Adriane's face turned cold, "How do you know I took the Joker?"

"There were security cameras at the bank, now answer my questions," Jason snapped.

"I took him because he needed help, help he obviously wasn't getting around here," Adriane snapped right back, she wasn't going to let this jerk treat her like this.

"You don't get it kid, the Joker is deranged as soon as he wakes up he'll try to kill you!" Jason growled he felt his anger rise when Adriane snorted.

"He's already awake and I've already gotten him help, the curse that was on him is gone," Adriane smirked at him, she knew that no one knew the Joker was cursed, this was her way of getting the truth out there.

Jason paused in place for a moment before speaking, "What do you mean curse?"

Adriane rubbed her nails on her shirt before looking at them, "The Joker was cursed, he was filled with so much black magic that it corrupted him and turned him into the man you knew, I took him to some people who were able to expell the dark magic in him, freeing him from the control it had on him."

Jason couldn't believe what this girl was saying, it couldn't be true.

"Of course, he's going to need a lot of help to get over what he's been forced to do over the years even if he was trying to fight back as hard as he could, him fighting back is the only reason the Joker couldn't use magic."

Jason shuddered at the thought of the Joker being able to wield magic, if what she was saying was true then he had a lot to think about.

"Do you have any proof?" Jason asked after a moment where he thought of the damage a Joker with magic could have done.

Adriane stared at her adoptive cousin before standing straight, "Wait here I'll go get proof," She spoke before she walked in the door.

She came back out not long later with a binder full of different documents that she shoved into his arms, "Here, you can take these with you to look over now please leave, next time you want to visit call ahead of time instead of breaking in."

Jason adjusted his grip on the binder before nodding, "I'll do that, goodbye." He turned and walked away, the gate opened up when he got close and he didn't hesitate to leave through it, as he left the sensation of something watching him left and he unconsciously relaxed slightly.

As soon as he got back to the Batcave he started going over the papers in the binder. He couldn't believe what he was reading, he would have to talk to Bruce about this, he didn't want to but the old man knew more about this magic stuff than Jason did.

Bruce would also be able to convince Adriane to have one of the Magical League members test the Joker to see if what these papers said was true.

~Back with Adriane~

Adriane sat down on the couch next to her Uncle Jack and sighed, when the wards had warned her that someone had climbed the gates she had been worried. She didn't know if it was a villain or one of the bats here to try and take her Uncle away, she wouldn't have allowed it of course but she didn't know what she could have done.

Jack looked at his niece and smiled slightly, she had just stood up to someone for him, he knew that she would defend him but it was still nice to see. Thinking of ways he could distract her he realized that Adriane liked to help, that was just how she was. If she could help with something then she would, hell, he heard that she opened two magical orphanages for the magical world.

Maybe giving her a way to help others would help clear her mind a bit. It couldn't hurt to try, so turning to his niece he started dramatically telling her about how awful Arkham was and how the prison didn't try to help people get better anymore. Jack could see the gleam in his niece's eyes and he could practically see the cogs moving in her mind as she started coming up with a plan.

Not long after Adriane excused herself to her study where she started penning a letter for Grinlast.

Dear Grinlast

Once more I must thank you for your help in healing my Uncle and Godfather, if it were not for your healers or your time chambers, I do not know what state their minds would be in right now.

My Uncle was just explaining about Arkham Asylum where he, as the Joker, was imprisoned in, it is much better than Azkaban, seeing as the people here get fed three times a day with their diets and allergies are taken into consideration and there are no dementors there are still serious problems about the place.

The first and most important part is that the place is not trying to help people get better, they've gotten into the habit of arresting criminals, putting them in cells, and then wait for them to break out.

As I'm sure you are aware, this is not the correct way to run the place.

What I want is to see how much it would cost to buy Arkham. I don't care about the cost, the people in there deserve help and by Merlin Grinlast they are going to get it.

When the place is bought I want it to be updated, I want the place to be warded so it's harder for people to break out and I want to hire an entirely new staff of guards, therapists, cooks, and any other staff needed. We can use house elves to clean the place, we will just make sure they are never seen.

Once again, the price is not an issue for me.

May your riches grow and your families prosper,

Lady Adriane Kenna Dive Potter Black Gryffindor Ravenclaw Slytherin Emrys.

Lady of the Noble House of Potter.

Lady of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Gryffindor.

Lady of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Ravenclaw.

Lady of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Slytherin

Lady of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Emrys.

Lady of the house of On.

Heir to the Most Noble House of Black.

Adriane reread the letter before sending it off with Dobby, she couldn't believe what her Uncle told her about Arkham, she had to help these people. Even if they never left the prison they still deserved to be treated like humans, maybe there were other ways she could help them as well?

Adriane brought out her laptop and started searching for the Gothem rouges, there had to be a few she could help.

She knew that she could just ask her Uncle but she wanted to research on her own. She didn't want to be dependent on others for the answers she needed or wanted, she used to be like that with Hermione and Adriane refused to be like that again. She refused to let others tell her everything she needed, making it so she didn't even bother to open a book on her own.

After an hour and a half of searching, she found a few rouges right off the bat she could try to help.

Firstly there was The Two-Face or as her research showed, Harvey Dent. From what she could find out, he used to be the best lawyer in Gotham and used to be good friends with Bruce Wayne, Commissioner Gordon, and most surprisingly, Batman himself.

A mob boss had thrown acid at his face, eating up one-half of it and making him disfigured, the incident made him go insane and get obsessed with chance.

She would have to look into ways to heal him, since the damage wasn't caused by dark magic then maybe the Goblins could heal his face. Once Harvey Dent's face was healed, it would hopefully help with his trauma.

She refused to call the poor man Two-Face, it might be what he named himself but she felt like she was making fun of the man if she called him that.

Another person she could try to help right away was Mr Freeze, his real name was Dr. Victor Fries. The poor man was doing all of this crime as a way to get money to fund the search for a cure for his sick wife.

According to what she found, his wife fell sick so he dedicated his life to trying to save hers, he used cryogenics to freeze her body to give him time to find a cure for her illness.

Sadly he was attacked by his boss, the attack resulted in his body only being able to survive in sub-zero temperatures, he survived long enough to build himself a suit that would keep his body cold and then became the villain known as Mister Freeze.

If Adriane could fund the research into a cure for both Dr Victor's body cold issues and his wife's sickness then she hoped he would stop his life of crime. She hadn't been able to find out what the wife was sick with but she would try.

She swore she would do all she could to help the people of Gotham, starting with Harvey Dent and Dr Victor Fries.
