After waiting in the hospital for several hours, Eleanor discovered her ankle was, in fact broken, and was having a cast put on, with Jasper making the occasional smart-ass comment. Once done, she was given a pair of crutches, and taught how to walk on them. She was also given a prescription for some strong painkillers, which Jasper considered filling at the all night pharmacy in the hospital, but decided that it was 6am, and everyone in the palace would be waking up soon and wondering where they were. He didn't want to leave Eleanor without pain medication, so vowed to get the Palace doctor up as soon as they got back.

This did not go to plan.

When they got back, they were greeted by the Queen, and James Hill.

Eleanor hobbled straight passed them, however, Jasper confirmed to them that her ankle was broken.

"Thank you for taking her Jasper. Mr Hill and I have considered the matter, and, given the situation, you are to swap duties with Rosie until my daughter is off the crutches."

"Yes, ma'am"

"Fortunately for you Bodyguard, my daughter has a late start. I would recommend that you get her schedule from Mr Hill, get some food and get some sleep."

Jasper was thankful that James had printed Eleanor's schedule, and one glance told him that he could grab a bowl of cereal and then get about three hours sleep before getting the Princess to the car for a Charity tour. He has also explained the medication situation with James, who had said he would speak to the Palace Doctor.

Before he knew it, his alarm was blaring, waking him. He felt tired to the bone, but at least he was having a change of pace with the Princess. He dived into the shower and let the water run over his body for a moment before quickly washing, dressing and making his way towards the princesses' room.

He got there as she was making her way through the door. He walked next to her, every step she took, ready to catch her should she fall.

"Before we leave, Princess, has your medication been sorted?"

Eleanor stopped, pulled the medication from her pocket and handed it to Jasper.

"I took some 5 minutes ago, and can take it every four hours."

Jasper set a timer on his phone.

They eventually made it to the car and Jasper was handed the itinerary. He quickly glanced at it while Eleanor got in the car, and they quickly realised that he, Eleanor, her crutches and the Cameraman would not all fit in the car. As much as Jasper wished he could leave the Cameraman behind, he took the crutches from Eleanor and placed them in the boot of the car.

The journey to the first charity was slow and uneventful, however, as soon as Jasper got out of the car, people started to recognise him and scream, as they realised there was a Royal visit. He got Eleanor her crutches, helped her out of the car and made sure she was set to go before moving out of the way.

Eleanor hobbled her way through to the sitting room, where a chair was quickly produced for her.

Jasper watched as she talked to the residents of the home, asked them what it was like living there and laughed when one of the residents said that it was like being a Royal without the perks. More than one person asked what she had done, and she told them them, with a grin that Jasper could see was fading, that she fell out of the car after a hike.

Jasper watched as Eleanor stopped talking and her breathing rate increased.

"I'm afraid that is all we have time for today. We shall make an effort to return as soon as we can" Jasper stated, hauling Eleanor off the chair and back onto her crutches.

Once they were back in the car, she asked Jasper about the interruption, and how much more time they had there.

"Well, Princess, there was about 30 more minutes, but you looked like you needed a break, so I was forced to cut it short. We now have time before the next charity for you to regain whatever it was you lost in there."

"How long before I can have some more pain medication?"

"Another hour I'm afraid, but that does mean it will be as we arrive at your next visit."

"Which is where?"

"Your favourite place. The dog shelter"

Eleanor gave him a weak smile.
